19 Eventful Autumn

In March and April 1933, when Li Xiaofeng and Tukhachevsky had a fierce confrontation over the engine issue, some extremely far-reaching changes were taking place in the world.

On March 1, Luxembourg and Liebknesi were forced to flee Germany for the second time and went to Russia to avoid disaster. The reason was naturally the Congressional arson case. Under Hitler's instructions, all the blame was blamed on the German Communist Party. Luxembourg and Liebknesi, as the soul leader of the German Communist Party, were naturally the primary targets of the Nazis to eliminate. Fortunately, a certain immortal was always paying attention to the situation in Germany and rescued the two of them again under extremely dangerous circumstances.

However, although Luxembourg and Liebknesi escaped by chance, Ernst Telmann was arrested by the Gestapo as in history and threw him into prison. If there were no accidents, this person would probably not see the dawn of victory in World War II.

Ernst Telmann was not the only one who suffered misfortune. In the east of the world, the sinister and cruel Japanese devils were not willing to only obtain Northeast China. Their sinister and cruel palms suddenly reached into the pass. On March 4, the troops of Tang Yulin, Chairman of Rehe Province, fled without occupying them. The Japanese army occupied Chengde with only 128 cavalry units, and the Rehe fell.

On March 4, the Great Wall War of Resistance broke out, starting from this day and continuing until May. In March, the Chinese team finally retreated due to poor military equipment, exhausted combat power, and lost strategic position.

It was still March 4, and Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States, was sworn in.

On March 15, the CCP won the fourth anti-encirclement and suppression victory, and the Red Army quickly grew to a scale of 80,000 people.

On March 23, the German Parliament passed an authorization bill, allowing Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party to pass any legislation without the parliament's consent.

This March is almost a dazzling March. The group of people who have dominated the historical stage in the next ten years have come to the forefront and are constantly exerting their ability to influence history.

This month was also mixed with good news and bad news for the Soviet Union. The situation in Germany took a sharp turn, and it can almost be said that the Nazis had exposed their hostility to the Soviet Union and communism. If nothing unexpected happens, the two sides will inevitably meet in the future. For Lenin, he did not expect that Li Xiaofeng's warning would not stop, and Germany would undergo such a significant change. Germany, which was pro-Soviet, almost overnight, became a vanguard of anti-communism.

This made the mentor feel deeply worried. He was very worried that the Nazis would take risks under their ambitions and the indulgence of British and French imperialism. He was even more worried that a new world war would break out soon.

At the Politburo, he raised this concern with great concern and gained unanimous approval from other great elders. The Politburo unanimously believed that it was necessary to be vigilant about the actions after Germany and to prepare for combat before the Germans fired the first anti-communist shot.

The bad news not only comes from Germany, but also the information from China is worthy of vigilance. After the Japanese obtained the Northeast, their ambitions were not only not satisfied, but became increasingly rampant. Their tentacles began to extend to China's pass, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, and continued to create friction with the Soviet Union on the Central East Road and border issues. It is obvious that the greed of this oriental dwarf is probably unsatisfied.

The Far East has issued a warning to Moscow more than once, indicating that the Japanese are likely to use methods similar to those in the September 18th Incident to the Soviet Union. They also bluntly stated that they may have direct military frictions with Japan in the future.

Lenin had no favorable feelings for the Japanese. In fact, no Russian would have a favorable feeling for the Japanese. The scenes of the Russo-Japanese War are still vivid in my mind. In 1918, the Japanese directly occupied Russia's Far Eastern territory, and this greedy neighbor has always shown their desire for land, especially Siberia. Who can rest assured to such a bad neighbor? Who dares to rest assured?

Before Lenin and the political situation are two major issues in two directions. The Germans in the west and the Japanese in the east will be the most important strategic imaginary enemies of the Soviet Union in the future, and they may even temporarily surpass old imperialism, such as Britain and France.

Fortunately, the Politburo learned not all bad news this month. In southern China, the Chinese Red Army won the fourth anti-encirclement and suppression victory. Faced with the siege of 400,000 people, it is really difficult for the weak Red Army to defeat the strong with weak. This news made Lenin and others quite pleased. Isn’t it just that the weak Chinese Red Army can show such combat effectiveness?

For this reason, Lenin also sent a congratulatory message to the CCP in the name of the Communist International. This congratulatory message uses a lot of praise and expectation in the specifications of the Chinese Super League. It seems that the mentor and the Politburo are looking forward to the CCP’s future performance.

However, Li Xiaofeng was not happy about this. As a well-known historical person, he knew very well that the fourth anti-encirclement and suppression victory in March would be a stagnation. From May, the fifth anti-encirclement and suppression of the "Architecture Party" was under active preparations, and the fifth encirclement and suppression in September of that year would begin. This time, the CCP, which has been in constant civil strife, will move towards a wrong military line. Therefore, this short-term joy will soon disappear, and will be replaced by a suffocation.

However, Li Xiaofeng was preparing to be in his stomach because he couldn't get involved in the matter in southern China and was too far apart. Moreover, the Communist International has never been his territory. It was the territory of Kamenev and Zinoviev, and he has never been able to deal with these two people. Not to mention that the situation of the CCP looks good now, even if the CCP's situation is very bad, the two people will not allow him to point fingers on this issue.

Moreover, Li Xiaofeng did not intend to make trouble on this issue, because China's revolution was far more complicated than Russia's revolution. Lenin could lead Russia to victory in the October Revolution, but let him go to China to try it? It is probably light. Anyway, from the perspective of history, China will choose the path and leader that suits them the most. Li Xiaofeng does not have to interfere in any way. On the Far East issue, he only needs to grasp one key point - the Japanese.

To be honest, in the Soviet Union at that time, it was really a big question of what attitude and strategy should Japan be about. The Far East was vast and sparsely populated. It had basically not been developed on a large scale for a long time. To put it bluntly, it was the territory of the Soviet Union. But in fact it was a wild area.

Whether it is Tsarist Russia or the Soviet Union today, I really love and fear the Far East. It is a good thing to have a large land, abundant resources, but it is a waste of people thousands of miles away. Anyway, in the eyes of the Soviet leaders, the Far East is a big trouble, because with the Soviet power, it is really impossible to take into account both the east and west.

Moreover, the main hostile forces of the Soviet Union were concentrated in this end of Europe, and the top leadership, including the mentor, were worried that too much attention would be paid to the Far East, which would disperse the Red Army's power, which was not strong. In the end, neither end was concerned about it.

This is why when the September 18th Incident broke out in 1931, Russia chose to sit idly by, allowing the Japanese to steal Zhang Shaoshuo's territory and let the Japanese tamper with a puppet Manchukuo (of course, the relationship between the Soviet Union and Zhang Shaoshuo was not good, and the Central and Eastern Road incident made both sides quite unhappy, and it was inevitable to watch Zhang Shaoshuo be unlucky).

Even now, when the Japanese are becoming more and more aggressive, there are still many old revolutionaries who advocate pretending to be grandchildren in the Far East and compromise with Japan. They can even be said to be mainstream. Including Lenin and Trotsky, the Politburo still tends to sacrifice some of their interests in the Far East to calm down and pay full attention to the changes in Germany.

Obviously, Li Xiaofeng did not like this attitude because the Soviet Union did this in history, but the effect was quite unsatisfactory. The Soviet Union sold the Middle East Road to Japan at a low price, and tried its best to restrain and give in. What was not the Japanese's kindness (it would be strange if it could be exchanged), but instead made the Japanese feel that the Soviet Union was easy to bully and repeatedly made people proud. In the late 1930s, both sides held millions of troops in the Northeast and fought two battles directly at Zhanggufeng and Nomenkan. It was not until the Red Army was afraid of the Kwantung Army that the Far East was calm.

In Li Xiaofeng's opinion, he should not be polite to the Japanese at all. These jackals have always believed in their strength. Only by teaching them a lesson with sticks and machetes can these guys understand human words. And the Soviet Union's appeasement policy towards Japan was absolutely bloody.

"I strongly oppose the abandonment of the Middle East Road and the policy of concession to Japan. This not only fails to make the Japanese understand our kindness, but will make them feel that we are weak and bullied. The lessons of Mr. Zhang's past are right in front of him. After gaining the Northeast, are the Japanese satisfied? Obviously, there is no!"

Li Xiaofeng shouted loudly at the enlarged meeting of the Military Commission: "After occupying the Northeast, they fell in love with Inner Mongolia again. After occupying Inner Mongolia, they will still covet North China. Japan is a wolf! Wolf ambition! Trying to use a few pieces of meat to satisfy them can only further stimulate their ambitions. After taking away the Middle East Road, they will fall in love with Vladivostok and Siberia. Will we still give in at that time?"

Li Xiaofeng waved his fists and said excitedly: "To deal with this nation like a wealthy wolf, we cannot give in from the beginning. We must use the sword in our hands to speak from the beginning. Only by cutting off their claws, smashing their dogs, and chopping off their wolf heads will they be afraid and honest! I strongly oppose compromise with Japan. On the contrary, if we want to defend the country and curb their wolf ambitions, we must be more tough and proactive! If necessary, fight one or two local wars and smash the enemy's delusions with a clean victory!"

Li Xiaofeng's statement was contrary to mainstream ideas, because Trotsky and Lenin just now expressed their desire to be more tolerant and restrained. Who would have thought that Li Xiaofeng, who was the first to stand up to speak, did not agree with the speeches of the two mentors, but sang a full-scale opposite. This was so amazing that Trotsky and Lenin were both stunned. As for Stalin, Sverdlov and Derzhinsky were completely stunned.

For a moment, the conference room was terrible and suffocating. Lenin asked for a long time: "Comrade Andre, are you too excited? Given the current complex international situation, our country can only focus on one direction. For the time being, it seems that the threat to the European direction is greater. In this situation..."

It was a ruthless thing, before Lenin finished speaking, Li Xiaofeng interrupted. You must know that this is quite unusual and impolite!

"Comrade Lenin, I know that the Politburo and the Military Commission are more worried about the threat from Germany and the British and French imperialism. I also admit that they have a greater threat to our country, but a greater threat does not mean that the threat is more direct. Between our country and Germany, Poland, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia, it is impossible for the Germans to launch a direct attack on our country from the beginning. Similarly, British, French and American imperialism are farther apart. And given their bad situation in China, they are temporarily unable to target us. On the contrary, in my opinion, British, French and French imperialism is more likely to shrink. They may give up some of their interests in Eastern and Central Europe to feed Germany's greed. In other words, the most dangerous enemy is actually a distance away from us."

After a pause, Li Xiaofeng continued: "But Japan is different. They are already in the Northeast and are lying beside us. Moreover, their greed is stronger than other imperialisms. Judging from the direction in recent years, they are more willing to use violent means to achieve their goals. In my opinion, their threats are more direct. Even if we take a restrained attitude, they cannot get their good intentions!"

Lenin's expression was a bit serious. It was not because a certain immortal interrupted his words, but because a certain immortal's reasonable analysis made him shake. Especially in February, someone had just warned him to pay attention to the German Nazis. He didn't quite agree with it at that time. Who thought that Hitler, who was like a clown, would become a dictator in the actual sense of Germany in the blink of an eye. If someone's prediction of the Japanese was also correct, what if tolerance and concessions would only encourage the ambition of the Eastern Dwarves?

The atmosphere in the conference room became increasingly depressed, and everyone was thinking about Li Xiaofeng's speech. Even Tukhachevsky, who had been having a very terrible relationship with someone recently, had to admit that someone's words made sense.

"Comrade Andre, you mean. Our war with Japan is inevitable?"

Trotsky's question suddenly asked everyone's hearts. According to Li Xiaofeng, the war against Japan was almost impossible to avoid, and the Soviet Union had never thought of fighting a large-scale war in the Far East.

The reason is very simple. The Far East is vast and sparsely populated, and it is too far from the traditional developed areas of Russia. It is really unbearable to carry out large-scale wars. Once a mistake is lost, the scene of the Japanese rushing straight into the Far East and Siberia is really unimaginable to Trotskys.

"War is certainly inevitable," Li Xiaofeng said in a deep voice, "but we can use one or two small-scale wars to curb the possibility of a full-scale war against Japan."

Li Xiaofeng said confidently: "In my opinion, the Japanese are paper tigers, at least the Japanese army is paper tigers. There is a lot of intelligence that shows that the Japanese army lags behind the times in terms of equipment and tactical ideas. To be honest, this is just a level of war, or even an early level of war... Compared with the Red Army, which gradually began to mechanize, they have no advantage. If we are fully prepared and can take the initiative first, it is not a problem to defeat them."

After a little pause, Li Xiaofeng continued: "And Japan's national strength is limited. When most of its resources are consumed by the navy, the Japanese army's continuous combat capabilities are quite limited. They are even worse than our Red Army stationed in the Far East. If we step up the double-track transformation of the Siberian railway line and seize the time to carry out large-scale immigration to the Far East, I think if we only engage in a short local war, we will still have a great chance of winning!"

After looking at the great elders present, they were still calm, Li Xiaofeng had to continue his efforts: "Also, Japan is in a war of aggression against China, they must take into account both directions. If we can provide certain assistance to China, especially to focus on supporting local forces willing to resist Japanese invasion, we will inevitably hold back the Japanese and share more pressure for the Red Army in the Far East."

Lenin and Trotsky looked at each other and had to say that they were moved. If the Japanese were stripped off their very glossy skin, they were actually a very weak imperialist dwarf. Although the Red Army had all kinds of disadvantages, they also had all kinds of advantages. If they were prepared properly, they would have a chance of winning.

Of course, what Li Xiaofeng said most was the immigration plan. The Far East and Siberia should not always be empty, and it is always just a burden to be there. Guide the Russians to settle in the Far East is the fundamental solution to the problem.

In fact, in the 1930s, the Soviet Union did this. A large number of Red Army were transferred to the Far East, and a large number of young Soviets also went to the Far East to "support the border". Even after the Kwantung Army was eliminated in 1945, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union directly demanded that the Red Army in the Far East not return to their hometowns after demobilization, and take root in the Far East and Siberia directly (compulsory).

However, immigration is not a project that can be achieved overnight. It involves many problems and aspects, and even if it is to be carried out, it can only be done step by step. However, the last strategy proposed by Li Xiaofeng, which supports China's anti-Japanese forces, can be operated immediately.

After a tense and fierce discussion between the Military Commission and the Political Bureau, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union decided not to adjust its policy to Japan for the time being and observe first. At the same time, the Far East Red Flag Army and the Binhai Army merged and were the Far East Red Flag Front. In the future, the Front will be responsible for all military issues in Japan, and the Far East Red Flag Front will be strengthened from the immediate beginning to deal with emergencies.

Of course, the most important thing for the Soviet Union was to drag the Japanese back. While establishing the Far East Red Flag Front Army, the Soviet Embassy in China and the People's Committee of Foreign Affairs began to send special envoys to contact the Nanjing National Government, Zhang Shaoshuai, Ma Zhanshan, Feng Yuxiang and others. A large number of weapons and ammunition sealed after the victory of the domestic revolutionary war were resealed and transported to the Far East through the Siberian Railway...
