Chapter 24 I am very sad to part with you

In the early morning, the darkness in the high altitude in the east gradually faded, revealing a clean and refreshing light blue. The cool morning breeze swept down from above, and the small flag in front of the hotel door blew.

The coachman was at the entrance of the hotel and assembled the two beautiful English baggage horses onto the carriage. Although he was very suspicious that the two noble masters could get up early, he still prepared early as he ordered and waited at the entrance of the hotel.

This is a small village on the border of the Austrian Principality, located near the Exxenbach Castle. From here, you can reach the end of this journey after half a day traveling southeast, the artistic city of Vienna.

After the coachman loaded the carriage, he leaned half-sidingly on the rut of the carriage, fiddling with a wooden pipe in his hand, filling the pipe with smoke foam. The pipe still retained the unextinguished fire. After the smoke foam was filled in, the coachman took two breaths happily, and a wisp of blue smoke slowly floated from the pipe.

With a squeak, the hotel door opened from the inside out, and Eugen and Rambo, who were dressed in neatly, walked out of it. Seeing this, the coachman hurriedly kicked his pipe into his cuff, then pulled the car door and served Eugen and his men onto the carriage.

Then they stepped onto their seats, took out the pipe from their sleeves and held it in their mouths, and then shook the reins, and the carriage began to move slowly.

"Fare!" After two clear shouts, the speed of the carriage gradually increased, and he rushed along the avenue towards Vienna.

Eugen sat in the carriage, playing with a small scroll in his hand, and he unfolded it from time to time to look at it, with an inexplicable smile on his face. The handwriting on the scroll was printed with sacred, blessings, and praise, and was compiled by the archbishops who were lofty in the Holy See.

The lower half is one on the left and one on the right, and on the left is a mark representing Jesus Christ, and on the right is a flower signature of the contemporary pope. It seems that with these two patterns, the entire scroll itself has a certain divine meaning. It can even forgive the sins committed by people in the world and open the door to heaven for those who are dying.

This is the indulgences issued by the Pope that was criticized by countless people in later generations.

On that day, in response to the promise of Father Martin Luther, Eugen specially waited to meet with the priest at his residence, wanting to hear what secrets he had. Eu thought that in private, Father Martin Luther would talk to him about religious opinions and criticized those borers who were corrupt and greedy in the church.

What surprised Eugen was that the priest just secretly handed him a small scroll on his back with someone else. He also hinted very bluntly: "This thing is only a Kielder gold coin, which is absolutely worth the money."

This really surprised Eugen. He never expected that this priest in a priest robe, who dedicated his body and mind to God, was reselling indulgences to him.

As far as Eugen knows, because Father Martin does not have enough teaching experience, he is not qualified to sell indulgences. Then the origin of the indulgence in his hand is somewhat intriguing.

While surprised, Eugen was also very disappointed. Who would have thought that this religious leader in the eyes of later generations actually did such a thing when he was young, or that Eugen simply recognized the wrong person?

Even though I can't figure it out, Eugen simply didn't think about it. After all, fate is mysterious and unpredictable. Who can know what kind of encounters everyone will have?

After taking out a Kielder gold coin and buying the indulgence from Father Martin, he was too lazy to communicate with him in depth. He found a reason and sent Father Martin away.

Now Eugen remembered the excitement he felt when he first met Father Martin Luther. Whether what he saw was the religious leader still remains to be verified. History is not reliable, especially when he was in history, perhaps some things had begun to cause some unpredictable changes.

For example, Eugen is going to stop the terrible disease that caused heavy casualties on the European continent. Eugen cannot explain clearly what impact this incident will have on history. He only knows that he must do this.

"Rambo, after you arrive in Vienna, start your action directly. Head south from Vienna to the port of Venice, and take a boat directly to Messina, and don't stop for a moment."

In the car, Eugen looked at Rambo with an unbearable look in his eyes.

The port of Messina in Sicily, Italy was the first stop of the Black Death landing on the European continent, and death began there.

Rambo was very clear about these things. Although Eugen did not tell him the specific content, he had warned him that there would be a terrifying disease outbreak that place, and this disease poses a fatal threat to humans.

"Abide by the head of the family, I will definitely follow your instructions to stop the terrible disease you said." Rambo said with a firm look. Even if he was about to face the terrible disaster, there was no cowardice in the eyes of the Italian knight.

"And, I love Italy, it is my hometown. I will stop the disaster from coming there anyway."

Eugen asked himself that he did not have such courage to remain calm when facing death. It has to be said that the willful quality of these chivalrous spirits that are not afraid of death is indeed awesome.

After lowering his head and meditating for a moment, Eugen took out a letter from his arms, which was the certificate worth 50,000 Kielder gold coins issued by Owen Ross himself.

"Okay, then you can take these 50,000 Kielder gold coins and do what you should do. Remember, your task is to find some reliable people in the south, monitor the spread of the disease at all times, and report the situation to me at any time."

Eugen patted Rambo on the shoulder and solemnly told him.

Lambo nodded and reached out to take the letter. This was also part of Eugen's plan. Lambo needs a lot of start-up capital. And Corion, who took away another 50,000 Kielde gold coins to recruit famous doctors from all over the country.

When he gave it, Eugen was bleeding in his heart. It was 50,000 gold coins, which he got after fighting to the death. Although he was doing great things, Eugen could not control the feeling of heartache. Perhaps in the final analysis, he was still a little person without much awareness.

The letter has been carried close to him for the past two days and is placed closest to his heart, but now he has finally handed it over.

Rambo didn't feel anything about this. He grew up in the Habsburg family since he was a child. He received an orthodox knight education and was deeply influenced by the knight's philosophy. This little gold coin would not have much temptation to him.
