Chapter 6 - Xin He Shi (II)

It was fifty years old, and the river was dry. The hot sunlight shone on the Guanzhong Plain. The earth cracked into pieces of tortoise shells, and the rivers were cut off layer by layer. The Weihe Basin was desolate.

The mountains in the Sanqin land seemed to be split from the top to the bottom by someone. The valley of seven or eight miles was winding and narrow. The dead branches in the valley were intertwined, weeds were crisscrossing, and the north wind roared and rolled up sand and dust.

The green on the cliffs was no longer there, replaced by the withered and unnutritious yellows. The stones rust like cast iron, allowing the yellow sand to rise and fall on their bodies. In the valley, there were occasionally three or two wild crows on the branches of rotten wood, watching the passing pedestrians, or pecking on the rotten bones. I don’t know whether it was foraging or leisurely after the meal? With the scream of the hawks, they all scattered.

Someone was walking in the valley. Looking through the dust, the man was leading a horse, humming a small song, singing loudly and heroically, and walking leisurely in the valley. The originally quiet and desolate valley was shocked by the song and the bells hanging on the horse.

The song is "Bodhisattva Man". If you want to talk about the origin, it is a popular song in the Sanhe area. The author is Mr. Ji Yong, a famous composer.

The sound rippled up along the left and right mountain walls, and the eagle disappeared.

Walking up the valley path, there was an inn and several families. They ran a tavern and blacksmith shop on the road. The tavern was half-closed and not closed, but it was surprisingly quiet for the first time, which was almost too much like the usual closing. A cloth flag at the door fluttered and fell in the wind, rising and falling. The hooves were brittle like pearls and sounded under the flag. The man tied the reins to the flagpole, the horse stood flat on its neck, shook its tail, shook its mane, and after two rays of air were sprayed out from its nostrils, he stood under the flag. The man patted the horse's neck, stroked its mane before turning around and entering the store.

The room was very dark and it was not big enough. Only a little sunlight squeezed in through the cracks in the roof. Two or three thick wooden tables, three or four benches were placed in the middle of the hall, and behind it was a long cabinet. Behind the long cabinet was a scar-faced man, with his eyes deep into the flesh and no light could be seen. The man approached the long cabinet, reached out to throw a few copper coins, and shook them on the long cabinet. The scar-faced man raised his head, and did not look at the copper coins. He took a clay pot, a bowl, a plate, and a pair of long chopsticks from the cabinet behind him. He tricked him out of the long cabinet and took out a plate of dried meat from under the long cabinet, and then cut a few tung croquettes into the cabinet.

The man took out a knife from his waist, cut off a piece of meat and threw it into his mouth. He just chewed it and swallowed it. He started eating a piece of meat with a sip of wine.

"Isn't it the only one who can use fish intestines to cut dried meat in the world? " Scar's face stood up and just watched the person opposite eat meat. He was a little bored and started chatting.

"It's all a knife. Why can that knife cut the flesh? This knife cannot." Xin Heshi lowered his head and cut the flesh without raising his eyes.

"Of course not. This knife is a brave blade. Use it to kill all evil deeds. Is it an ordinary blade that slaughters dogs and pigs?" Scarface pretended to be contemptuous.

"What are the differences between evil deeds and pigs and dogs?" Xin Heshi raised his head and looked at Scarface, stuffed a piece of meat into his mouth, and then lowered his head to cut the flesh.

"This...is no different, but this is the Blade of Zhuozhu. It is more or less a magic weapon. It is too expensive to use for food." Scarface had nothing to say, but he had to say something, so he said something more. Xin Heshi didn't reply, so he fell silent again in the house.

"Is there any news about Luoyi?" Xin Heshi took a sip of wine, wiped it with his sleeve, and raised his eyes and asked.

"Yuan Jing's man took over the three auxiliary people, regarded himself as a Taishi, and controlled the emperor to issue an edict to transfer Qingyan and the two prefectures into Jin." When Scarface heard Xin Heshi's words, he cursed in anger.

"It's reasonable." Xin Heston paused. "How is the war in the North?"

"Youzhou has been occupied by the Jin army. The King of Yan led his troops to fight to the death in Ji. King of Jin Xu Chong favored the Wuhuan Shanyu. The Wuhuan people had already captured Lulongsai. The King of Yan was attacked from both sides. I am afraid that the city would be broken in less than half a month." Scarface sighed.

"When Jicheng is broken, Yanzhou is gone, Yan State is destroyed. Yuan Jing will be revenge and is afraid that the King of Yan will die without life. Although the southern countries are alliances, they have gaps between each other. Yuan Jing is good at conspiring, and he is afraid that the Great Zhou Dynasty will really fall into the hands of this man?"

"No." Xin Heshi looked at the fish intestine in his hand. "Those who have been in Zhou are the ones who are in the blue. This is the King of Wen and Gongdan predicted that Yuan Jing revived in Jin, earth and yellow, and was in the middle, belonging to the north, Xuan, and water. Qing is wood, water, water produces wood, and wood overcomes earth."

"In this way, wouldn't Yuan Jing be buried in his own hands?" Scar face smiled, as if he had heard a great good thing.

"Not necessarily, but Gongdan's words must be the truth." Xin Heshi replied calmly.

"That's right, who would make up a word to curse yourself of death?" Scarface nodded.

"I will find this person and kill him." Xin Heshi stood up. "It's time, it's time for me to leave."
