Chapter 90 Break and then stand

Chapter 90

When Nie Bao heard this, he was stunned and said in his heart: "It's really the left and the right."

Why do you say that? Because the sky is great and the earth is great, the truth is the greatest. This sentence comes from the Northern Song Dynasty. This is itself a concept of Neo-Confucianism. Zhou Mengchen derogated Neo-Confucianism while using certain concepts of Neo-Confucianism. It seems shameless. In fact, this is very normal in Confucianism.

After all, every denial of previous knowledge is not a simple denial. Neo-Confucianism has its own failure and its own disadvantages. It does not mean that Neo-Confucianism has no reason for itself.

Zhou Mengchen naturally needs to absorb and integrate.

Zhou Mengchen continued: "Shangshu Nie, what's wrong with this matter? Your Majesty can decide. If Shangshu Nie thinks that what he is doing is wrong, he will wait for Shangshu Nie to submit a copy of the book."

This sentence made Nie Bao no longer understand.

Can you write a book? Of course, it can. But no one in most people do this. There is nothing else, the Ming Dynasty is very open. Especially in the Jiangnan area, the sky is high and the emperor is far away, and some words are shocking, but in fact, everyone feels shocking, but few people really make a splash.

If you don’t say anything else, just saying what Wang Ji said is not a taboo at all?

How can Confucianism be the same as Buddhism?

Even in the Qing Dynasty, people who really sued the inquisition were still despised by everyone. If Nie Bao really made a report, not to mention whether it was a break between Xu Party and Zhou Mengchen. The behavior of this matter alone would damage Nie Bao's reputation.

Not to mention, who doesn’t know that Zhou Mengchen is the most favored by the saints. Even if he sues him, what’s the use?

Zhou Mengchen held back one after another. He glanced at the students below, and they looked all kinds of eyes, and some were angry. These people were naturally disciples of Xinxue, the kind of loyal. So they stood up for the king's rebellion. Some watched the excitement. In fact, this is also the most people in reality. Because for some of the most cutting-edge things, ordinary people only listened to the excitement. This was like this in ancient times, and it was like this now.

There are also some people who are thinking, and there is not a trace of confusion in their eyes. These are the people Zhou Mengchen wants to fight for.

Zhou Mengchen took a deep breath. He had been wrapped in a layer of Confucianism's skin on the outside of science before. But at this moment, Zhou Mengchen was not ready. After all, this coat was not enough. Moreover, Zhou Mengchen is no longer the same as before. His attainments in Confucianism were enough to translate scientific ideas with some Confucian discourse.

Zhou Mengchen said: "Who is Confucianism? Where does Confucianism look for? It is not in the Tai Chi diagram, not in the Huayan Sutra, but in the Analects of Confucius. Confucius said the word "benevolence" throughout his life. How can he be benevolent? Benevolent people love others. Therefore, one must have benevolent hearts, benevolent actions, and one must have a heart of loving others, and one must practice the behavior of loving others. Only then can one be a Confucian. He has a heart of loving others, but no benevolent actions, but only a corrupt scholar. He has a heart of loving others, but one is a corrupt scholar."

Luo Qinshun heard this and said in his heart: "The heaven and man are two parts?"

In ancient times, many Confucian scholars mentioned the unity of heaven and man, but there was one person who mentioned the two parts of heaven and man, and this person was Wang Anshi.

Zhou Mengchen's words seem simple, but in fact they have pushed many things to the law of nature. In fact, the fundamental concept of Neo-Confucianism is this principle. The moral norms of the Three Bonds and Five Constant Virtues are called the law of nature, which is the rule that the world and nature must follow. They are the root of all principles. Neo-Confucianists only need to practice such laws of nature to reach the realm of saints.

But what are the benefits of the saint's realm in the world? This is not said. It is probably because the saints come out and the world governs. As for why the saints come out and the world governs. This is not said.

Only then did Wang Yangming make up for it, everyone could be educated. As long as everyone becomes a saint, how could the world not be governed? This is Wang Yangming's contribution. Compared with Neo-Confucianism, Wang Yangming's mind study is more practical. The plan works, but it doesn't work. At least people have a plan to implement it.

Zhou Mengchen directly puts the concepts of loyalty, filial piety, benevolence and righteousness of Confucianism aside, and only takes out the concept of benevolence and disassembles it. Although it is not stated clearly, anyone with a discerning eye can hear that Zhou Mengchen puts Neo-Confucianism in the heart of his lover and puts it at a secondary position in the overall framework of Confucianism.

Today, Zhou Mengchen divided Confucianism into two, which seemed to imply the concept of the two parts of heaven and man.

Moreover, Luo Qinshun guessed correctly. Zhou Mengchen borrowed Wang Anshi's concept of the difference between heaven and man.

Zhou Mengchen continued: "A love life is actually not a person who has no clothes to wear it, a person who has no food to eat it, a person who has no home, and a person who is in trouble will not die on the road. From then on, health will be saved but hard to do it. For example, Suzhou needs 2 million stones of grain a year, while one acre of land in the south produces two to three stones of grain, and two million stones of grain, which requires at least two million mu of land. In addition, the grain required by the farmer may not be enough. In this case, the people in the world are more than 60 million. Judging from the Suzhou local area, the number of people in the world is three times more than the ones in the book. In other words, there are about 200 million people in the world. In this way, is the food in the world enough to eat?"

"This is why there is a slight natural disaster that makes people live in poverty. Originally, according to the Shangshu, the state had a nine-year reserve? Where is it now?"

"What is needed to solve this problem of food? We need to consider the problem of growing food, how to make grain high yields? How to reduce the waste of food in transportation, and how to increase land for a variety of grains, such as some land in Suzhou, should we plant mulberry and hemp?"

“This is all a real problem.”

"I think Confucianism is simply seeking governance. However, Neo-Confucianism does not discuss this, and this is putting the cart before the horse."

After hearing this, Yang Jie felt enlightened and said in his heart: "So that's it."

At this moment, he recalled some of the things he was investigating in Chaoyi, and suddenly felt that the originally boring numbers could give people a lot of things. He had never looked at the world from this perspective. He only felt that the gauze had been pulled open before his eyes, and he felt like he was lit up.

The world has become different.

Since the Ming Dynasty orthodox, a group of scholars of practical learning emerged, but these scholars only focused on real problems and believed that they needed to solve real problems. However, they have not yet reached the theoretical level. Today, Zhou Mengchen established the foundation of practical learning in theory.

This alone is not without support from Zhou Mengchen.

The reason why Yang Jie was enlightened was because the Guanzhong School attaches great importance to reality. This is in line with the expectations of the Guanxue lineage.

Zhou Mengchen said: "The way of heaven, the sun and the moon rise and fall, and the tides come and go, how can the thoughts change in the mind? The laws of heaven have their own lines. In particular, we must abide by the way of heaven and do it. The qi condenses into tools, and the Tao and tools are not separated. The learning of human hearts has its own ways, and the learning of heaven and the way of heaven and sets up science according to the way. Special research is used to solve real problems, such as how to make grain more productive? How to transport grain? and other problems."

"This is the science that Confucianism needs to study."

"Survey things and be aware of sincerity and righteousness, cultivate oneself, manage the family, govern the country and pacify the world."

"Surveying things and seeking knowledge is to observe the way of nature, control the way of heaven and use it, not seeking holistic talents, and have skills. Such as water conservancy, military, shipping, construction, etc. Sincerity and righteousness to cultivate oneself are to cultivate the body and mind, learn the learning of saints, and practice the way of saints. Carrying the family is a responsibility to parents and relatives. How to manage the family is to manage the family by studying things and seeking knowledge. If you manage the family well, it is valued by the court, or the court has some useful points, it is used by the court. This is to govern the country. As for pacifying the world, you should know that the world is not a part of China, dozens of countries in the South China Sea, dozens of countries in the Western Regions, and what country is there in other places? But it is not what you know."

"These countries, either in the wilderness or use barbaric techniques. To educate the local area, they should be regarded as the world of China. It should be noted that the rule of the three generations was only the southwest of the Shanxi Mountain in Guanzhong, Henan, and today, countless predecessors have earned it step by step. If there is peace in the Ming Dynasty, they will naturally serve the court. When the Ming Dynasty is peaceful, they should be far away from all directions, change to the South Ocean and the Western Regions and other places outside the country, and be the world of China. This is the rule of good men, rather than being alone in a room, hiding in temples, explicitly speaking about the study of the mind and nature, and secretly seeking escape from Zen."
