Chapter 4 Fangwaishan 1

In the early morning, after the rain, a seven-color rainbow spanned the distant mountains. On the wide and calm river surface, a small boat was surmounted by the river. In addition to the old man who was raising the boat, there was also a young man wearing a scholar's scarf on the bow of the boat, standing with his hands behind his back. This person was the wind and bamboo, but when he saw the breeze blowing on the river surface, he was refreshing and refreshing for a moment.

"Old man from the boat, please shake it slowly so that young people can enjoy the scenery of the mountains and rivers." Feng Shuzhu said while admiring the strange peaks and walls of the two sides of the shore, and the strange rocks of the Dan Cliffs.

"Young master, slower, I'm afraid you won't be able to get to Fangwai Mountain at sunset, so you have to stay at the foot of the mountain. Kongjue Temple will not be placed at night (note: stay at outsiders)." The old man on the boat said, but his hands slowed down.

"Thank you for your kind reminder. You have no urgent matters in your later years. You don't go up the mountain to worship Buddha, or you don't make a wish, just to make friends." Feng Shuzhu said with a clear smile on his face.

"Oh, I didn't expect that the young man could make friends with the monks of Kongjue Temple in Fangwaishan at a young age, which is rare, rare!" The old man on the boat said it twice, and at the same time he casts admirable eyes.

Feng Shuzhu understood that the old man who was raising the boat praised it so much because the Kongjue Temple in Fangwaishan is a famous temple thousands of miles away. It has been built for a long time, and the monks in the temple are even more profound in Buddhism. On weekdays, in addition to subduing demons and protecting the safety of the country, they also guide people to be kind and educate sentient beings. Therefore, they have a high status in the hearts of the people and have many believers.

Then the old man on the boat was excited and talked endlessly about the story of the monks from Kongjue Temple subduing demons and demons. Feng Shuzhu listened patiently while staring at the river surface, and saw that the river surface gradually narrowed. A huge rock in front of him protruded, covering one-third of the river surface. From a distance, the huge rock looked like a lion, with huge mouths, fangs and manes, and was completely natural and vivid. Feng Shuzhu was taking a closer look.

Suddenly, a small boat flashed out from behind the huge rock and came into view. A woman stood on the bow of the boat, holding a fairy sword in white, holding a fairy sword in her hand, her eyebrows and eyes were clear and elegant, her skin was as white as snow, her head was combed with tassel bun, and her hair was flying with the wind. Feng Shuzhu was fascinated by the sight. The woman seemed to feel his gaze, and suddenly turned her face, her eyes were like lightning, and she stared at Feng Shuzhu coldly, and the two ships passed by.

It seemed to be pondering, and it seemed to be recalling, Feng Shuzhu silently said, looking at the vast river water in front of the bow of the boat, lost consciousness.

"Young master, I'm going to dock, and I've arrived at the Fangwaishan Ferry." Feng Shuzhu came to his senses when he heard the call of the boatman. He looked up and found that it was already sunny and hills. Looking around, a shallow ferry was right in front of him. Several passenger ships were docked around him. People came one after another on the trestle, probably from the believers and pilgrims who were worshiping Buddha down the mountain from Kongjue Temple. The boatman urged and shouted to board the boat and was clearly heard.

After the boat landed, Feng Shuzhu paid the boatman silver, carried the bag, and jumped ashore. After walking a few steps, he felt someone behind him. When he turned around, he saw that it was the old man who was on the boat, carrying a gourd with a smile, and rushed over in three steps.

Feng Shuzhu was a little surprised and turned around and asked, "Old man, is there any other thing left?"

"Young Master, stay, the old man just remembered something to ask for help." As the old man said, he had already walked to Feng Shuzhu, put down the wine gourd in his hand, took out an incense bag from his arms, and smiled and said, "Since you are going to Kongjue Temple, you are still asking your master to worship this incense bag in front of the Buddha."

"Is this thing..." Feng Shuzhu asked in confusion with frowning.

"This incense bag contains the prayer written by the old man. It is very dangerous to sail on the river. I want to ask the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to bless me. I should have climbed the mountain and went there in person, but because I was old and weak, I was troubled by the young master." While saying that, I looked at Feng Shuzhu with a prayerful look.

Feng Shuzhu took the incense bag and smiled and said, "I will do some small things later."

"Thank you for your accomplishment, please accept the old man's bow." As he said that, the old man on the boat was about to bow.

Feng Shuzhu hurriedly supported him and said, "The old man can't do it, so he will die late."

The old man stood up and asked, "I don't know where the young master stays tonight?"

Feng Shuzhu slightly proved, and replied: "I once heard that the pine waves on the outside of the mountain are famous all over the world, especially at night. If you are born late, you can reach the top overnight."

The old man grinned and said silly, "The old man will stop bothering the young master. I will go to the town to get wine and buy vegetables. It is getting late, and I will stay on the boat tonight." As he said that, he picked up the wine gourd on the ground.

Feng Shuzhu suddenly realized when he heard this. Because he was greedy for the scenery, the boatman could not return. He apologized and bowed to the old man on the boat and said, "Thank you for your hard work."

"Where, where, you are, you are polite. We are always used to it when we are sailing and attracting passengers." After saying that, the old man on the boat and Feng Shuzhu bowed farewell to each other and walked to the streets and towns beside each other.

Feng Shuzhu put away the incense bag and looked up at the towering and tall mountain. But when the sunset was holding the mountain, the slanting sun shone back, the clouds on the top of the mountain were golden, and the bells echoed in the sky, as if there were monks singing Sanskrit. From time to time, a few golden lights passed by the clouds and flew into the top of the mountain. I thought that the Buddhist Sword Immortal returned from the trestle and waited for the boat on the trestle and stood, looking up at the top of the mountain, pointing and talking.

Fengshuzhu retracted his gaze, and took advantage of the sunset to walk along the stone steps not far from the shore to the top of the mountain. The path is completely paved with bluestone and is about five feet wide. The pine forests on both sides cover the sky and the sun are lush. The forest is covered with low flowers and plants. Thick yellow pine leaves are covered in the depths of the forest. There is a stream in the forest that follows the mountain. The stream is gurgling, which corresponds to the pine waves, which is pleasant and clear, making people linger. From time to time, red and yellow ribbons are seen on the pine branches on the roadside, floating in the wind, which should be the prayer talisman that hangs by the mountain believers.

After walking for about an hour, it was already a new moon in the sky, and the stars were shining. Fengshu looked up and saw a stone pavilion, built on the abyss. With the faint moonlight, you could vaguely see the word "Ting the Wave" engraved on the pavilion. Walking up and entering the stone pavilion, you suddenly felt the mountain wind here. Looking down below, you saw that the abyss under the pavilion was covered with green pine trees, swaying and undulating in the wind. The sound of the pine waves is like the galloping horses, and it also like the waves swaying on the shore...

The wind sparse bamboo stands alone in the pavilion, letting your mood fly, savoring the waves of pine waves, surging and passionate.

Suddenly, "Oh...you...", a terrifying cry came with the wind, and the moans of a sick person. Feng Shuzhu was shocked. He came back to his senses and looked at the sound. He saw a man sitting on a mountain road dozens of feet away, his face blurred. According to the sound, he should be an elderly man. Feng Shuzhu hesitated for a moment and flew over. He saw an old man dressed in woodman sitting on the ground, holding his feet with his hands and moaning in pain. His shoes and socks on his feet were broken, and his flesh and blood were blurred.

Feng Shuzhu asked in close contact: "Why is the old man so hard?"

The woodcutter was startled when he heard someone asking. When he looked up, he saw that it was a scholar of scholars in Wenshu. He gave up his vigilance and said tragically: "Young Master doesn't know that I want to see a monk from Kongjue Temple because I have important things to ask for a mountain climbing the mountain overnight. I didn't want to get here and accidentally hurt my legs. Alas... what should I do?" He said that, and could not help but cover my face and cry.

Feng Shuzhu heard this and said, "The old man still has a bottle of golden sore medicine here, which can relieve your pain." As he said that, he took out a small white porcelain bottle from his bag and handed it over.

The old woodcutter glanced at it, but did not reach out to pick it up, but continued: "I'm not hurting my leg, but I have a pity that my clan has a great life."

When Feng Shuzhu heard this, he knew there was something else and immediately asked, "Why did the old man say this?"

The old woodcutter looked at Feng Shuzhu again and shook his head: "You are a weak scholar, and this matter is meaningless to tell you."

Feng Shuzhu heard this and smiled softly, saying, "The old man doesn't know that I'm very close to this eminent monk in Kongjue Temple."

When ordinary people hear this, they will definitely ask so many monks in Kongjue Temple, and they don’t know who you know, but when the old woodcutter heard this, his eyes immediately lit up and he held Feng Shuzhu’s hand, as if he had seen a Bodhisattva who rescued the trouble, telling the whole story.

It turned out that the old woodcutter surnamed Liangnai Luotian Town is from Liang Nai Luotian Town. This town is located in the southeast of Fangwai Mountain, more than a thousand miles away. The people in the town were originally ordinary and leisurely, but half a year ago, a monk suddenly came to Luotian Mountain outside the town, claiming to be the double-faced Buddha. However, this man did not recite the Buddha's name and did not sit in meditation. After occupying the mountain, he went to drink and do whatever he wanted. The strong men gathered in the town to drive them away many times, but were injured by him. Later, some strangely dressed people came to the town to throw them into the mountains. Seeing that the two-faced Buddha had increased, he wanted to build a "double-faced Buddhist temple" on the mountain. So he started to catch the strong men in the town. The people were beaten to death if they disobeyed. Now almost all the people in the town have been arrested up the mountain and have become an empty city.

Speaking of this, the woodcutter surnamed Liang was crying in tears and was already crying.

Feng Shuzhu frowned slightly and said, "Old man, why don't the people in the town run away?"

Old Man Liang shook his head slowly and said, "Young Master doesn't know that the double-faced Buddha is not a mortal, and he doesn't know what method he used. Luotian Mountain has been covered by red light. The person who meets him will die after a few days after his skin is ulcerated. Moreover, even if an ordinary mortal is driving a car and riding a horse, it will only be hundreds of miles a day. The double-faced Buddhas flew to the sky and escaped, and they caught up in the blink of an eye."

Feng Shuzhu pondered for a moment, glanced at Old Man Liang, and said suspiciously: "That old man, you..."

Old Man Liang paused and immediately woke up and said, "They asked me to go up the mountain to chop firewood every day because they saw that I was old and useless. I took the opportunity to escape. I wanted to go up the mountain to seek help from the monks of Kongjue Temple to drive away the evil people, but because of their instability, they injured their legs and feet. The outer mountain is so high, so what can I do?" As he said that, he wiped his tears and cried.

Feng Shuzhu nodded slightly and was about to persuade him, but when he heard a question coming from afar, "Who is crying here?" The sound was like a bell, and he went straight to his ear drums. He looked up and saw a group of monks walking down the mountain road ahead with lanterns.

Feng Shuzhu couldn't help but feel happy and said to Old Man Liang: "You don't have to be sad, our savior is here."
