Chapter 22 Norman Osborn 【Part 2】

"You know, but you can't do it!" said Norman Osborne. "Many people know some truths, but they never do it, and they can't do it."

"Don't easily draw conclusions on something child. I'm not so confused that I asked you to come here just to read such a report."

"Do you know what the last thing I regret?"

Norman Osborne's voice calmed again.

"You drove Uncle Storm away! And successfully made him your biggest opponent," said Harry.

"Indeed." Norman Osborn glanced at the look on Harry's face under the light and replied: "Don't look at me with that look and look, is that ridiculous?"

"I just feel that you made a wrong decision at the beginning." Harry said with his hands behind his back.

"I admit this." Norman Osborne leaned against the couch, as if adjusting a position that made him feel comfortable, but for him now, this slight physical movement also made him feel a little painful and tired. "But now you can't understand what kind of madness and strength a person who is deeply trapped in despair will burst out when he sees a little hope!"

"Look at my face! Look at Harry well! This is your future! It is a nightmare that the Osborne family has to endure for generations!"

Norman Osborne suddenly raised his upper body, exposing the shadow from the couch to the light source of the small desk lamp. Even though it was not the first time I saw it, looking at the strange and familiar face at close range still made Harry's scalp numb!

What kind of face is that!

The green face is like a hardened skin cocoon, and the strange and ugly face as if it were lizard's skin. The pits are bumpy, and some light green pus is scattered around the small wounds like broken abscesses. Anyone who sees this face, even if he only sees it once, will be deeply engraved into his mind and will never forget it until death.

Harry's body shook slightly, his face changing drastically as if it was twitching.

"You can't escape the child." Norman Osborn narrowed his eyes, as if he was a little uncomfortable with exposure to the light, retracting back to the darkness: "This is a genetic disease, a retrovirus that is difficult to perfectly contain and cure at present."

"I know you are afraid! I can only wait for the future of death like me!" Norman Osborn continued: "The kind of waiting for death to approach you step by step irreversible. You can smell his heavy breathing around you. You know you will die without a doubt, but you can't die under torture."

"I understand your fear of Harry, because I came here step by step!"

"I was so scared that I couldn't extricate myself after I heard this news. I started to do something crazy. But when I calmed down, I felt that I should have a little more value in life."

"I used the money my father gave to build a company with Mendel Storm at that time. Mendel didn't care much about shares. We were studying various things that we were interested in, biology, technology, and medicine."

"He focuses on research, while I focus on the company's operations and grasping the direction. We have worked very happily."

"Until one day," Norman Osborne muttered, as if he had said something, which made him feel a little difficult. He took a few heavy breaths before continuing: "I discovered that Mendel was secretly carrying out a research project."

"That is a potion, an ambitious potion! If it can be successfully released and distributed in large quantities, more than 80% of the world's pharmaceutical companies will go bankrupt due to it! The remaining twenty percent will either survive or be able to obey Osborne's industry!"

"That's also a weapon! The potion that can turn a person into a superman."

"Abandoning that huge benefit, the most important thing is that I see hope in it." Norman Osborne turned his head on the pillow and looked at Harry standing by the bed. In the darkness, his muddy eyes flashed with a greedy light like a wolf: "I found that I might not have to wait for death so miserably."

"So you drove him away and snatched his research results?" Norman Osborn's extremely aggressive gaze made Harry subconsciously lower his head and avoid it, but soon he raised his head again and looked at his father's gaze.

"Otherwise?" Norman Osborne muttered. "I was completely crazy at that time. The only thought in my mind was to get it! Get that kind of potion at all costs! My mind was completely occupied by this idea."

"I still remember that my emotions were so strong and my thinking was so active. For a period of time, many plans for snatching that potion would pop up in my mind, which was absolutely rigorous. During that time, I seemed to be alive just to grab that potion."

"I made up a lie and showed Storm's research to those in the company. I convinced them with prospects and interests, those on Wall Street. Their red eyes joined me to drive away Mendel. I know Mendel, who is a bit stubborn and paranoid personality, and he is also very proud and self-centered."

"I was frivolous and flawless in my mind, and my personality would become a problem for me in the future, because my head couldn't think about anything else."

"He sold most of the Osborne stocks in his hands and left all the patents, and the people on Wall Street and I and I were a big deal. Mendel got a lot of money for this. It was really a lot of money, but no one of us cared about that at the time."

"I got that kind of potion as I wish."

"I look forward to its success as urgently as everyone."

“Mendel opened a company.”

"He took on a defunct, abandoned military research."

"He succeeded, he saved the dying and undying military research project."

"A long time has passed by, and Mendel is blooming."

"But what about me? The research I expect and valued!"

Norman Osborne's voice became sharp and high-pitched: "They are still continuing! Those researchers I recruited, who are top researchers in the fields of biological genes and medicine, told me one by one that it will take a lot of time to study!"

"I've listened to this sentence for many years!"

"I began to be full of confidence. Even if my research was frustrated, I still believed in those people. Research always took step by step, and I knew this! So I gave them time. I gave them sufficient funds, I gave them the best instruments and research environment, and I gave them all the support I could give them. I still have time to wait!"

"spare no effort!"

"At any cost!"

"But now, what those people said to me is still the saying, 'Research takes time'!"

"But now I don't have time."

"It's really sad, right? After my research was frustrated and I woke up from my fanaticism, I realized that I had done something stupid! I kicked Mendel away, kicking it too early! I thought I had the hope I wanted, but the hope that I could really be driven away by me."

"I know that when Mendel stayed, the research might not be successful. But isn't that what people are?"
