Chapter 21 Norman Osborn [Part 1]
At 2:30 in the night.
White mist is everywhere.
The dazzling light on the building turned into glimmer of stars under the cover of white mist.
In this kind of weather and time, except for men and women who are still immersed in search and fun, most of them stay in their huts and lie comfortably in bed.
There are few pedestrians on the street, and occasionally a few cars are playing excited music and speeding past the fog regardless of danger.
A man wearing a dome hat, wearing a black windbreaker, carrying a pair of hands, and hunched over his figure, and his face was hiding under the darkness, was slightly raising his head and looking at the depths of the white fog in front of him.
A slight vehicle motoring sound came from the quiet night. When the sound became louder and louder, a yellow vehicle that looked like a very ordinary food truck broke through the blockade of the white fog and appeared in the sight of the man in the top hat.
...
Storm's old house.
Meng Ao yawned, wearing a pajamas casually, and asked with a tired face: "Have you found out what you found?"
"No." The butler Al's face was also very bad: "Everything is normal, but at the last step, the news never came back."
"What does SHIELD say?" Meng Ao held his chin with his hands. He was in a very bad mood now, whether it was being called out from the warm quilt to disturb his sleep or what the butler Al reported to him.
"They have no clue yet. The other party has very good means and has used the environment wisely." said the old butler Al.
"I thought S.H.I.E.L.D. is omnipotent. This is the super serum given to them! Can't they use snacks?" Meng Ao shook his hand fiercely: "Can you get the call from Nick One-Eyed Dragon? I think I need an explanation. That is the latest sixth-generation super serum!"
"He guessed that you would ask him for an explanation and promised that if you wanted, he would take some time to see you again." The old butler Al said sternly: "He thought there were supernatural forces and characters involved here, so he promised us that he would continue to track down."
"Where is the loss?" Meng Ao blinked and the lion opened his mouth, "He didn't mention compensation?"
"I haven't determined which process went wrong yet, and determined which party is responsible." Al warned Meng Ao.
"Are there many people and forces who can do this? Even SHIELD has no clue yet?" Meng Ao squatted on the sofa, biting his index finger little by little. Only in such a moment when there are no outsiders can he show some of the nature that he should have at this age.
"For the ordinary world, SHIELD is omnipotent, and Sthol is also an indestructible giant, but for another world isolated by SHIELD, SHIELD and Sthol are not yet called for the wind and rain."
"I remember that something similar happened in Storm's company ten or eleven years ago?" Meng Ao asked.
"Yes, the third generation of serum stolen and the destruction of laboratory data was a devastating blow to Storm, which had just had a stable foundation at that time." Al said: "All the results in the early stage were mostly gone, and a lot of funds were also lost. Although Storm's company was able to survive with the capital injections of S.H.I.E.D. and Wall Street, it was a big deal."
"After the incident, the master recalled William, who was summoned by the military, and initially improved and established the defensive power belonging to the Storm family." Al added: "Ada, who joined later, was because the master valued her outstanding spy ability."
"Spy knows more about spies."
"What about the follow-up? Didn't there be any investigation reports and results? I didn't see those things." Meng Ao frowned.
"You have to know that the master has never liked things other than management research. The bad situation at that time also involved the master's energy, and he did not have many trustworthy personnel who had outstanding tracing ability to delegate."
"So it's all gone? Al, don't tell me that's it." Meng Ao rolled his eyes.
"Of course not, the master got some news and confirmed that person's identity, which was made by people from the underground world."
"Underground World? Who are the gangsters/rogues?"
"No, those people are not considered part of the real underground world. The real underground world is people who wander in the gaps between ordinary people and aliens. Most of them are humans with skills and talents in some aspects. They know the existence of those aliens, and even cooperate with them."
"Cooperation?" Meng Ao was a little surprised.
"Yes, cooperation." Al's tone rarely brought a little disgust: "From some latest technologies to some unsatisfactory 'goods', they are all transactions."
"Unworthy goods?"
"Don't force me to say it, Master."
"Don't do this, Lao Al, the most annoying thing about telling stories is to keep half of it."
"It's the human body! Human body transactions are the biggest transactions between those people and aliens." Al said unhappily.
"Human body?" Meng Ao did not expect it.
"Yes, because organizations like SHIELD exist, many aliens need to find several agents and collaborators in the human world to provide them with some necessary things. For example, the blood bank needed by the blood clan? The human body needed by the ghouls! Some prohibited items needed by ambitious people and mad scientists. These are all on the transaction list of the underground world."
"How did my father do it?" Meng Ao, who wanted to know, frowned and changed the topic.
Meng Ao no longer bothered with the previous topic that made him difficult to speak, and Al also breathed a sigh of relief: "The master has found a famous organization in the underground world."
"Where is the name?"
"That organization is called Assassin League."
"What's the final result?"
"The result? The result is that there is still no result. The Assassin League will never give up the mission, but the news that it has not been successful yet has reached." Al looked helpless.
...
The sky was gloomy, just like Harry Osborne's mood. It was rare to be called home by his father, but Harry really had no happy thoughts.
Norman Osborne's bedroom was blocked by heavy curtains. The huge bedroom light source was only the small orange light on the head of the bed. After entering this room, Harry's mood became a little worse again.
"You won't see me easily." Harry stood in front of the bed and said coldly to Norman Osborne who was lying on the couch.
"Look at this newspaper's report!" Norman Osborn, who was very weak in his son Harry, didn't care. He patted a newspaper on the quilt and used his thick and long nails to draw a deep line on a report on it.
“…A food truck was stolen…”
Harry picked up the newspaper and followed Norman Osborne's advice. After a while, after he put down the newspaper, he still said to Norman Osborne in a cold tone: "You see me just to let me read this? This kind of thing happens every day..."
"I told you, Harry!" Norman Osborne said angrily with disappointment in his eyes: "Looking at something is like looking at a person, never look at his appearance!"
