0671 Whispering

Mercury Manor.

This manor named after the ancient Roman god of business is located on the banks of the picturesque East River. It includes villas, horse farms, gardening, squares, small lakes and dedicated docks, covering a total area of about 50 acres (200,000 square meters).

This is the headquarters of the Drake Chamber of Commerce's Americas branch.

The headquarters of the American Branch is known as Drake's most luxurious headquarters. It is not that the decoration of the small villa is so luxurious, but that its real estate value was as high as 100,000 pounds when it was transferred in 1784. In the past two years, with the development of New York, it has continued to increase in value. Although it has not flowed into the trading market again, the valuation has long been close to 300,000 pounds.

The 300,000-pound Chamber of Commerce headquarters has no docks, no warehouses, no exhibition halls and exchanges, and even Chuck Parker and his family don't live in it.

This manor is a real [administrative building] where people go to work, get off work, receive guests, and hold meetings, which is as purely like an expensive joke.

This is Lorraine's first time here.

Sitting in the carriage, he hooked the curtains and looked at the red building in the distance: "Chuck, you are the host, how do you plan to arrange our accommodation these days?"

"There is a row of vacation houses by the small lake in the manor. They were originally used to entertain guests, but they were taken care of them a while ago. Little Pierce and his two girlfriends have moved in first, and the remaining single house is enough to accommodate everyone else."

Chuck obviously had arrangements.

"In my opinion, although the houses there are a little smaller, you should prefer everyone to live together than to piece together and live under someone else's roof."

"Do I look afraid of loneliness?" Lorraine raised her eyebrows, "You don't live in the manor yourself, but you will use it to entertain guests?"

"That's two things." Chuck straightened his waist. "I want to create an environment with a pure working atmosphere that allows employees to enter the state as soon as they step into the door and know what they should do and what they should not do. Administration, negotiations, banquets, and entertainment are all work, and self-occupied is not."

He expressed his professionalism in letting Lorraine Khan speak in a plain manner. After saying that, he thought about it and added.

"But the situation of your stay with other directors' families is completely different from what I said about self-occupation. You are the idols of employees. Working around the idols will only stimulate their desire to perform and will not destroy the working atmosphere of the manor."

"Really?" Lorraine looked at him deeply, "I thank you..."

"No thanks."

The sky was chatting easily.

Lorraine found that as she got older, Chuck showed increasingly workaholic traits and seemed to fall in love with flattery.

He didn't know where his flattery skills were learned in the realm of transformation. He often made people feel relaxed before he realized it later.

This is a manifestation of smoothness.

Chuck was not slick at the time and was full of talent and eye-catching. Now he is still outstanding in his ability, but since he has more thinking, he will definitely have less consideration for his business.

Lorraine frowned: "Chuke, are you worried about Pierce?"

Chuck's expression tightened, and he was relaxed again, without any trace: "The Chairman is too worried..."

"Pearce has grown up." Lorraine ignored his answer and talked to herself. "He is the deputy director of the General Chamber of Commerce and is loved by me. He used to be young and unreliable, but after two years of expedition, his growth made everyone look at him with admiration."

"The American Branch is increasingly showing importance, with the rapid growth in trade volume, the increasingly calming sea route, and more importantly, the revolving door plan soon. The American Branch will be upgraded to the mastermind behind the control of the United States as the spokesperson of the Chamber of Commerce."

“I have countless reasons to put people I trust more in your position, and at this time, Pierce decided to come to New York to get married…”

Chuck's forehead was covered with cold sweat: "Chairman..."

"Chuck Parker, if you continue to indulge in these things you are not good at, you will be replaced soon. The young talents in the Chamber of Commerce are far more talented than you think. Even if it is not Pierce, I can easily find the right person."

"So focus on your career." Lorraine patted his shoulder, "Are those old guys in the conference room?"

"yes……"

...

Comfort...maybe to comfort...

Soothing Chuck's restless heart, Lorraine alone entered the first conference room of the headquarters on the top of the three-story building.

There were obviously rows of windows facing the picturesque Donghe River, but the room was dim, all the curtains were tightly closed, dark and smoke, making it impossible for people to see anything.

Lorraine swept away the smoke from the tip of her nose in depression: "Damn it, is anyone hibernating in my branch?"

Old Dukov laughed in the dark with a full breath: "Little guy, this is all your uncle. Did Drake teach you such etiquette in two hundred years?"

"Etiquette is for people to see." Lorraine's eyes adapted a little, and finally saw eleven ferocious beasts lying in the dark, "In the dark, Drake is a pirate."

"You are also a pirate on the surface, His Highness the White-Bian Pirate King!" Another voice came from the Peram family in Spain.

Lorraine sneered and dragged away the only chair left on the round table, and sat down: "Old Peram, my white flag was woven by our twelve families. You don't need your reminder, I know it very well."

"Is that?" The third voice, Prendiet Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands, "President Drake, you missed the last board of associations, that was an important meeting, we need your reasons."

"The reason is that I'm very busy." Lorraine sneered in the dark, "It's important to control the American economy, and it's also important to run a new market. At the last meeting, I was busy receiving my noble friend from Asia, Mr. Prendiet. You should know Drake's expectations for Asia, right?"

Lao Dukov clearly knew very well what happened in Miami during this period, and immediately reacted: "Asia, is it the Qing gentleman who wants to marry your chef?"

"The gentleman's name is Shi Chaosheng. He is famous in Zhaoluo Dao of the Qing Dynasty and has many friends." Lorraine made some of Shi Chaosheng's identity without any concealment. "The center of Zhaoluo Dao is Guangzhou Prefecture. Establishing a connection with him will open the door to wealth for me in the Qing Dynasty. In the long run, his interests are no less than the cause we are carrying out in the United States."

The words fell to the ground, and a fire suddenly lit up in the darkness.

Lao Dukov lit the candle in front of him and handed the old fire to the next seat clockwise.

The candles were lit one by one. Lorraine was the seventh one, just opposite Lao Dukov. After he finished ignition, he immediately passed it to the eighth one beside him.

Soon, a total of twelve candles were all lit up in a short silence, and the swaying candlelight reflected the twelve faces, marking them on the round table like a scale.

The round table is covered with a pure black tablecloth, and a huge pale skeleton is printed in the middle of the tablecloth. At first glance, it is actually nine points similar to the Pirate Flag.

Old Dukov looked around the round table and coughed twice.

"All the candles are on, which means everyone accepts Drake's defense, including himself."

"Since this is the case, there will be no more differences between us. I request the 22nd Illuminati Council to start and vote!"

"Agree!" "Agree!" "Agree!"..."Agree!"
