0165 Invitation to the Windward Islands

The person responsible for welcoming the Golden Deer and the four branch leaders was of course Miss Orphee McCarthy, the manor housekeeper and branch dispatching general contact.

It was only three days. After receiving Lorraine's official acceptance, Miss Orphe, who was easily satisfied, quickly improved her aura at a rate of eighteen changes a day. Now she has washed away the rural atmosphere hidden by innocence and diligence.

The exquisite light makeup, a calm look, the long hair that is simply tied with hairpins and ribbons, the black tuxedo and the fluffy and wide pure white lace-edged skirt on the lower body all show the solemnity and ability of being a housekeeper.

She bowed to the guests, "Two presidents, two admirals, the master is waiting for you in the manor, where there is rich and delicious British morning tea. I hope you have a happy meal."

This is the only greeting. After saying that, Miss Orphee raised her chin and turned proudly, and as she glanced over Chuck, she hummed with a nostalgic voice.

Almert was confused and secretly pulled Old Leonard's sleeve. "Arthur, is she really that stupid little Irish girl?"

"Who knows this? Maybe it's just a similar look?"

"It's me." Chuck smiled and turned his head, "It seems that Miss McCarthy has finally found a suitable position, as did the previous three letters, and the words and expressions are very well-established, and it is obvious that she has worked hard."

"Young people are always full of possibilities." Leonard sighed, "Let's go too. The captain's patience is not good, so he will be scolded after a long time."

"Chairman...has bad temper?"

...

A group of five people walked slowly along the forest path to the manor, and passed through the iron gate, and the scenery suddenly became clear.

On the continuous rolling grass hills, a tall young man was painting leisurely with an oil paint stick. He was sitting on his feet with a plate of sandwiches, without moving a mouthful. The snow-white bread was covered with some grass stems and leaves, and the number was very small, which was obviously a trace of the wind.

Miss Orphee looked at her in surprise, and could not believe that Bell, who had always been reincarnated as a starving ghost, would even look at food without any matter.

Something must have been wrong!

Miss Orphee especially wanted to break through this fog, but unfortunately it was not the time, and she still had the important matters for reception.

She thought with regret, waved her hand and guided her guests to cross the grassland and all the way to the manor villa by the cliff.

Lorraine smiled and greeted her, "As always on time, Chuck, nine-thirty, no one point."

"This is all the credit of the two admirals, and their superb command saved me time on the sea."

"It seems you're getting along well." Lorraine asked Chuck to look at the three people behind her, "It's sunny today, gentlemen, I wish you a good appetite."

The rich English morning tea was placed on the open-air dining table like water under the command of Miss Orphee. Lorraine led several people from the branch to chat and sit down, with Chuck and Old Leonard on one side, and Cottruns and Olmert on the other side.

The sacred dining table cannot accommodate business, and can only use the romance and moon to help you with delicious food.

Lorraine was chatting with two young local snakes in a mess, and the topic was mostly about the fictitious Mayan adventure, the speaker was unintentional, and the listener was unintentional.

After finally finishing the meal, Miss Orphee led Leonard and the other two to visit the villa, leaving only Lorraine and Chuck to walk under the parasol.

"Chuck, the branch has developed very well. Sucrose, coffee, spices, fruits and grains, besides North America, the special products of the New World are relatively single, and the current environment cannot accommodate the lucrative Sino-North American triangle trade. It is right for you to focus on South America."

Chuck nodded, "The trade between the Caribbean and South America can only ensure that the branch is self-sufficient. If you want to create profits and recover costs, you still have to export it to Europe and Northwest."

"This matter is not urgent." Lorraine smiled, "Without increasing investment, it takes time and luck to form a large enough ocean fleet. The Northwest Branch of Europe and the West lacks the foundation and cannot draw too many ships across the ocean for the time being."

"This is conservative!" Chuck frowned, "Chairman, Northwest Europe and North are very stable. You can draw more Brig and Brigentina. You should put pressure on President Pidick!"

"I'm sorry, at this point I prefer Ramos's opinion. Northwest Europe and North America are still in the development period and there is no reason to actively increase operational risks."

"If that happens... the Caribbean wants to recover its investment, it may have to be delayed until two years later."

"Two years are two years, and our greatest capital is youth. What's more, as long as I can bring back more ships, the time for turning losses into profits will only be short, not long."

"Gambling spirit..." Chuck sighed with a complicated expression, "Actually, I would rather my employer be a pure businessman."

"We are privateers, clever and plunder. Even if we only talk about legal means, we have much more choices than ordinary merchants. Don't tie ourselves to a boring contract, my president."

"I understand..." Chuck exhaled in a low voice, "President, I need to report on the three things you have explained."

"Tell me."

"The Golden Deer is returned to Zhao intact. With the 70 sailors you brought as the backbone, Vice President Leonard has supplemented the personnel on the ship. The selection criteria are very high, and more than half have service experience in the Royal Navy."

"I believe in your vision and Old Leonard."

"Thank you, Chairman. The second thing is that Lieutenant Colonel Nelson is not in Kingston. He went to Barbados with the Badger a few days ago and left you a message, [If you can arrive in Barbados before May 1, I will be waiting for you there]."

"Barbados?"

"Barbados."

"Do you know what's going on?"

"I looked for the old friends in the army and found out. It seemed that my uncle was preparing to organize a war in the Windward Islands to defeat the French conspiracy to occupy the Windward Islands. The New Continental Fleet is gathering towards Barbados, and my uncle has also passed."

"Sir Parker is here to command? Where is the Duke of Wales?"

"Be with uncle."

Lorraine whistled in surprise.

The Duke of Wales is Sir Parker's flagship, 98 second-class battleships, and the general flagship of the Royal Navy's New Continental Fleet.

If even she joins the battle, it means that Sir Parker is not satisfied with simply "exit" or "frustration" this time, but is preparing to organize a battle with a clear purpose.

The Frenchman's maritime power in the New World was not much different from that in Britain. Combined with the intelligence Lorraine collected in New Orleans, the Dutch were not restless.

Sir Parker rashly launched a decisive battle, and it was hard to be sure of winning.

"Is it hard to win..." Lorraine pondered for a moment, "Chuck, Jazz is ready to rebuild the order in the Caribbean?"

"Reconstruction?" Chuck was stunned for a while and said in embarrassment, "Chairman, it is a taboo for those who leave the military to inquire about military affairs. I have not investigated further or thought about this matter."

"Is that... there are eight days left, and the time is more than enough. I will ask Lieutenant Colonel Nelson myself. Regarding the third thing..."

"I am going to report to you about the crimes of the Royal Navy Major, Adjutant Admiral of the Continental Squadron and Lord of the Lion's Order, Mr. Berjudia..."
