Chapter 57 The Sweeping Monk

Shaolin Temple has been in full swing since the thirteen-stick save the Tang King in the early Tang Dynasty. By the Northern Song Dynasty, the temples on Songshan had become quite large in scale and had many halls and pavilions.

Standing on the roof of a Zen house for a moment, Xiong Qi glanced at the house layout of Shaolin Temple and found that it was very similar to Shaolin Temple in the world of Xiaonao. He now looked for the location of the Shaolin Sutra Pavilion according to his memory.

His light skills have truly reached the state of "stepping on the snow without trace". Although he jumped back and forth on the roof of the temple, he did not break a tile, and wherever he passed, he was silent.

Most of the masters in Shaolin have gone down the mountain, and almost all those left behind are low-class disciples. Where can I find his existence?

Therefore, Xiong Qi was wearing white clothes and walking freely in the huge Shaolin Temple, but no one noticed it.

In Xiaoaoao World, he once lived in Shaolin Temple for a month and still had an impression of most of the pavilions here. After searching for a while, he finally found the Sutra Library near Tallinn where martial arts secrets were stored.

‘Swoosh’

The door was closed, but Xiong Qi did not walk through, but jumped in gently.

There is a three-story wooden pavilion with three big words "Sutra Pavilion" written on it. Outside, there is a yard of seven or eight feet in size. In the yard, there is nothing else except a tree holding an ancient tree with both hands in the corner of the wall.

Standing in the yard, Xiong Qi squinted his eyes and looked at the Sutra Pavilion in front of him, then used his power to listen and listened with his ears.

There was no sound of breathing, nor footsteps, and nothing was heard except the sound of the saxal leaves blown by the breeze.

With his skills, a needle within ten feet of meter could be heard clearly even if it fell to the ground. Since there was no human voice, there would definitely be no one here.

But of course Xiong Qi would not think so.

There are almost no places in the world of Tianlong that can make Xiong Qi unconfident now, but this is exactly the place that is almost beyond the "almost".

The ground was cleaned very clean, not only without fallen leaves, but also the soil was tidy and tidy, which gave people a feeling of "no place to contaminate dust".

Xiong Qi suddenly showed a strange smile on his face, and then he raised his hand to hit the ancient tree in the corner of the wall.

‘Peng’

With a loud bang, the ancient trees trembled violently, and the branches swayed and shaking. In an instant, the leaves fell all over the ground, almost covering this quiet yard.

"Where did the sweeping monk go to so many leaves? Why not sweep the floor well?"

After this scene, Xiong Qi opened his voice and shouted loudly, and the sound was repeated in the yard, clearly in his ears.

But strangely, the monks outside the yard did not seem to hear it, and such a loud voice did not cause the monk to ask questions.

In fact, those monks really didn't hear it because all these sounds were confined to the yard. No one could hear them except the inside of the Sutra Pavilion opposite and Xiong Qi himself!

"Amitabha, the donor has such a profound cultivation level!"

At this moment, an old voice rang in Xiong Qi's ears.

Even Xiong Qi didn't notice how this sound appeared at the first time. He couldn't help but frowned slightly and turned around to look at the place where the sound came from.

A thin monk in a green robe appeared in a corner of the yard with a broom.

The monk was of no age. His sparse long beards were all white. He was slow to move, weak in energy, and looked like he was about to be silly.

If someone else had changed, he would have thought that the old monk had no martial arts skills and was about to die, but Xiong Qi naturally would not think so.

In his eyes, although the old monk was just standing there quietly, he was integrated with the surroundings without distinction, as if he was part of this yard!

If he hadn't clearly known that there was no one here a moment ago, Xiong Qi would have to doubt that he had just seen it.

Close your eyes, Xiong Qi's acupoints all over his body were released, and he performed a "heavenly and man-like response", but no matter how he sensed it, the old monk in front of him was empty and there shouldn't be anyone.

Opening his eyes, Xiong Qi showed a hint of excitement in his eyes, and he looked at the old monk and said:

"Is 'harmony of nature and man', is this 'harmony of nature and man'? I admire it, I am very impressed!"

Looking at the old monk, Xiong Qi felt strange that he seemed not to face a person, but this world!

“Is this ‘harmony between man and nature’?”

The old monk looked puzzled, asked strangely, and then said:

"I don't know whether it is 'harmony of nature and man', but I understand the principles of Buddhism. The Buddha said 'there is no life, no sentient beings'. What the donor sees may be the 'no form' of Buddhism!"

"Buddhism is 'formless'?"

Xiong Qi was stunned. This old monk didn’t even know the “harmony between man and nature”? He also called his realm “formless” in Buddhism?

However, it seems that it is correct to say this! The "harmony between man and nature" in Taoism is almost the same as the "formlessness" in Buddhism.

With a simple question and answer, Xiong Qi confirmed something and ruled out many speculations on the Internet in later generations.

As he said in the original work, this old monk was a novice-sweeping monk in Shaolin Temple. Through the influence of Buddhism for more than a hundred years, he had realized the profound Buddhist principles of "formlessness" of Buddhism, and then naturally reached the highest level of martial arts of "harmony between man and nature".

As for later generations, many netizens said that the Sweeping Monk was Xiaoyaozi, or Murong Longcheng, etc. were purely nonsense.

It seems that every peerless master who suddenly appears must have traces to be found. There cannot be a genius who can learn from himself without a teacher? There cannot be a genius who can understand Buddhism and automatically reach the state of innate Great Perfection?

People often speculate on others based on their own intelligence level, but they do not know that there are indeed geniuses in this world!

Even in later generations, there are different children who go to college at the age of eight or nine, or even six or seven or eight?

"What a 'no form' of the Buddhist Dharma that has no life and no form of sentient beings'!"

Xiong Qizan said:

"The master has mastered Buddhism, and then has mastered the true meaning of life without a teacher, and has reached the state of "harmony between man and nature" in the innate Great Perfection. Such talent and talent really make me admire him!"

"The donor is over-reputable!"

The skinny old monk looked at Xiong Qi, and also praised him and said:

"The donor is only twenty years old, but he has also realized the appearance of the longevity and the appearance of sentient beings. He is not far from the realm of "no form" of my Buddha. This is the real peerless genius, and the old monk is amazed!"

"Master praised it!"

Xiong Qi shook his head and said:

"I am different from the master. It is just because of the exquisiteness of the martial arts I have practiced and a little gain that I have achieved, so I have practiced martial arts to the current realm. In fact, it is still much shorter than the "formless" realm of the master!"

"The master has mastered the true meaning of life and understood the origin of life. It seems that it is not far from such a realm, but if you want to truly achieve it, you don't know how much time it will take!"

"Hahahaha!"

The old monk was no longer modest, but laughed.

Xiong Qi is talking about the facts. The old monk is a real person, so he will naturally not flatter him.

"A donor's martial arts skills have reached the end of the innate world. Just need to further understand the 'the appearance of lifelessness and the appearance of sentient beings', and you will naturally understand the true meaning of my Buddha's 'formlessness'!"

After laughing, the old monk persuaded:

"If the donor is interested, he can stay here for a few days. Through me, I may be able to realize the 'formless' Buddhist principles in advance!"
