121 I'm not giving up

The Lou Sang in Jiguo will be a temple.

When King Ji comes in person, there will be a reason for it.

In February of mid-spring, in the "greenhouse experimental field", the wheat ears are golden and the room is filled with fragrance.

The word "test" comes from Wang Chong's "Lunheng·Shouhu": "There are many categories, and they act in a similar way, and they are slightly compared to determine the experiment." King Ji gave his new ideas. Every time before the promotion of new skills, he would have to work in a temple and demonstrate the experiment. It is called: experimental field.

When the craftsmen dig out the bottom mud and accompany the officials, they all exclaimed in surprise.

"I dare to ask the lord, are they all sandy?" Right Prime Minister Geng Yong's excitement was beyond words.

"That's right." Liu Bei nodded gently.

Geng Yong asked again: "Does the lord want to pierce... in the desert?" Ji State's pierce system is well-known all over the world.

"There is no need to be a hurry in the desert." Liu Bei smiled and said, "First it is the polder field in the Western Regions."

"I, I would like to hear the details." The Shanghu ordered Zheng Xuan to bow for advice, but was held up by Liu Bei with both hands.

"You guys, do you still remember "Mao Sui Zhuan"?" Liu Bei asked with a smile.

"I remember." The left prime minister Cui Jun replied, "Mao Sui recommended himself and asked for troops to be a meritorious. King Zhao appointed him as a counselor and a fief of Quliang. Although this place is fertile soil, it is low-lying. Waters such as Fu and Ming often flood and cause disasters, and the people live in poverty. Mao Sui first built a river embankment and forced the Ming River to divert the route northward. He also ordered the civilians and the "red mud" to smear the riverbed of Fushui five feet thick, leaving no gaps. After that, the Fushui River was no longer in danger of collapse, and the river channel was unobstructed and it poured thousands of miles away."

Liu Bei smiled and said, "The reason why sandy soil can store water is that it is because three feet below it is red glue and mud. The glue mud is exposed to the scorching sun and does not need to be roasted, and it will harden like pottery. It is equivalent to filling this piece of sand field into a huge pottery bowl. Then it leads to fertilizer water to the ridge of the field, connecting the dripping bamboo tube buried under the sand field, and constantly moisturizing. When exposed to sunlight, the water vapor will rise and there is no need for water deficiency, so the grain will sprout."

After saying that, Liu Bei ordered the craftsmen to take a piece of drilled bamboo tube and show it to everyone.

It is completely different from the time-consuming kettle used by people at that time. This bamboo tube has a hole like a flute, arranged in the center at the waist. Just need the water level to cross the waistline, and it can drip in all seasons.

"Is it possible that the lord wants to transport red mud from Jizhou to the Western Regions?" said the right prime minister Geng Yong.

Liu Bei shook his head and said, "No. It's like clay, everywhere. Even if it's the mud at the bottom of the river, it can be dried and placed under the bottom. Just order the craftsmen to search out of the city and transport them nearby."

Sima Hui, the priest of the disciple, asked with a smile: "First look at the greenhouse in the tent, and then look at the farming in Sharan. Do you want to be a military camp in the Great Wall?"

"That's right." Liu Bei expressed his thoughts: "The desert is ultimately a big problem. The Great Wall built by the former Han Dynasty was mostly damaged. I wanted to rebuild it, so I set up a fort to allow soldiers to farm and support themselves. Then I slowly moved forward, building cities and opening canals, and farming in the desert."

Regardless of whether it can be realized or not, our master’s ambition is beyond reach.

As far as Liu Bei knew, it is okay to do evaporation and leakage, and farm on sandy land. The branch canals are connected, mud is at the bottom; irrigation of fertilizer and water, and the sunshine is shrouded. It should be feasible. Just continue to farm for several years, continuously improve the soil, and wait for the windproof forests to grow and the water-based circulating microclimate to form. Continuous farming will result in twice the result when half of the process.

"Start from the Western Regions." Liu Bei made the final decision.

There was no shortage of water in the Western Regions. It was difficult to survive because the surface evaporated violently. During the Former Han Dynasty, the Western Regions Protectorate built a targeted underground water conservancy project. It was called "jingqu" at that time. The magistrate of the siege was responsible for this. "The Han Dynasty sent Xin Wuxian, the general of the Qiang, to Dunhuang, to send envoys to follow the charts and cross the west of the Beiduhou Well, and wanted to open the canal and turn into the valley." Later generations noted "Biduhou Well" and said: "The six big wells are used to open the canal."

Later generations called "Kanerjing". It is a special irrigation system with a very clever structure. It consists of four parts: vertical shafts, hiding channels, open channels and water dams. Its structural principle is: find the water source at the submerged snow and water in the mountains, and lay vertical shafts of varying depths and shallows; then according to the height of the terrain, the underground channel is built and connected to the ground channel, and the groundwater is directed to irrigation of mulberry fields. In this way, the surface sand and soil leakage can be avoided, and the long-distance water vapor can be prevented from evaporation.

From Liu Bei to the central and western regions, the two prefectures established the shogunate. Based on their predecessors, they strictly followed the construction standards and construction techniques of Ji Kingdom. The wells and channels in the Western Regions were carried forward and used hard ceramic pipes. It is not enough to divert water into the city, and they also need to be divided into households. The front yard is dug out to lead out, and a water tower is built to store water and drain the boiler room. It is heated and heated as appropriate and transported to all parts of the home. After the rain and sewage is divided, the fertilizer and water are discharged out of the city through the sewage pipes to nourish the farmland. In this way, the cycle is repeated.

The Western Regions have abundant carbonite reserves and convenient mining. Smelting and heating are of great use. Ji State-owned city techniques have benefited the 55 countries in the Western Regions and various oasis cities. However, like stars surround the moon, it is a big desert in the middle, which is a pity to abandon it. So King Ji thought: try to farm the fields along the water road. If the rivers and canals are compared with the veins, this area dominated the Western Regions, and the huge dead leaves with dead leaves can meet the spring. Let’s see if King Ji can have the skills to rejuvenate.

Everyone followed King Ji and saw it one after another. Various fields were everywhere. Hollow bricks were used to build one high and one low, windproof walls in front and back, bamboo sheds were built on the top, and leather film was laid. It not only prevents wind, sand, light and warmth, but also blocks water vapor evaporation. It is like a simple greenhouse in later generations.

All kinds of farming skills that directly point to the Western Regions have made people and others open their eyes.

There are only dozens of light-transmitting leather films, which shows that they are good at using them.

"The membrane is the curtain." Shanghuo Zheng Xuan sighed: "This thing was used in the traditional Chinese medicine garden of the National People's Hospital. Today I know that it is of great use."

"Last year, a total of millions of live sheep were sold in the grassland. They were all old sheep and could not cut their hair. Most of the sheep skin was made into leather film, and the sheep intestines were used for sealing the money. They were eaten fresh meat, marinated into wax meat, refined fat into oil, and bone meal was also used as concentrate feed." Right Prime Minister Geng Yong smiled and said, "One piece of sheep skin is two steps (about 1 square meter). One acre requires only 460 pieces."

He was about to be ordered Su Bo, but he corrected: "Four hundred pieces are enough."

"Why?" Zheng Xuan asked.

Su Bo replied: "The diaphragm needs to be tightened to facilitate light transmission. Therefore, under stretching, one acre of large fields is enough for four hundred pieces."

"So that's it." Everyone nodded happily.

"A year of leather can cover 2,500 acres." Left Prime Minister Cui Jun smiled and said, "This is just sheepskin. Add pigs, cows and other skins to make leather films every year, 30,000 acres."

"There are so many." Everyone was surprised.

The plan made Chen Yi laugh: "You guys can you tell me how many pigs (pigs) are eclipsed in one day in more than 300 cities in our country?"

"It's unknown." This is under the jurisdiction of the Supreme People's Political Consultative Office, how can others know about it?

"Ten thousand heads." Seeing that everyone was shocked, Chen Yi smiled and said, "It is important to know that people in China are far from eating pigs as much as cattle and sheep."

By the way, it is recorded in the later generations of "Dream of Tokyo" that in one day, tens of thousands of pigs were eaten in Bianliang City. More than 300 cities in Ji State and nine million people could not eat the crowd of Bianliang.

A day of eclipse of 10,000 pigs can be obtained. In terms of year, a leather film can be obtained, 18,250 mu. If you compare to later Bianliang, a day of eclipse of 100,000 pigs can be obtained, a day of eclipse of 182,500 mu. There is no need for so many. The sum of pigs, cattle, sheep, can make 100,000 mu of membranes a year. King Ji was satisfied.

This matter is easy. Ji State has 50,000, Longyou State has 25,000, and Longyou State has 25,000. It can be achieved within two years.

The Shanghu ordered Zheng Xuan to recite the famous chapter of Xunzi's "Encouraging Learning": "Accumulating soil forms a mountain, wind and rain rises; accumulation of water forms abyss, dragons grow; accumulation of good and virtue, and the gods are satisfied, and the holy heart is prepared. Therefore, without accumulating small steps, you cannot reach a thousand miles; without accumulating small streams, you cannot form a river and sea. A good horse cannot leap ten steps; a slow horse can steer ten times, and the achievements are to be reluctant to give up."
