Chapter 345 Buddha and Dao

"Senior Mo, how old are you?"

Mo Tiange was cross-legged and calming his breath. The little girl from the Lu family, Lu Qiongying, looked at her with her chin, and suddenly asked like this.

Mo Tiange opened his eyes and smiled faintly: "How do you ask this question?"

Lu Qiongying leaned her head and looked confused: "I think the senior looks young, it doesn't seem to be because he took the elixir like Dingyan Pill, but grandpa said that the senior is already in the late stage of foundation building, so he may not be older than him..."

Is this little girl actually speaking such words? Is it innocent and simple?

Mo Tiange glanced at her and said, "You have a lot of eyesight to tell if others have taken Dingyan Pill?"

Lu Qiongying touched her head embarrassedly: "Senior, don't be surprised. I always feel that although I look young, my behavior is not natural... But I can't tell at all!"

Of course, although Mo Tiange had also eaten Dingyan Pill, she was barely a hundred years old. In terms of the lifespan of a monk Jiedan, she was originally a young man.

But she just smiled and said, "I have also taken Dingyan Pill. Now I am over 100 years old. My life span is not yet halfway, so you can't tell it."

"Oh, that's right..." Lu Qiongying lost her interest, turned her eyes, but began to ask with enthusiasm, "Have you been to many places, but what's interesting?"

This question made Mo Tiange pause. She thought for a while and said, "I wandered around with my uncle when I was young. Although I had been to many places, my cultivation was still low at that time. I thought about earning enough spiritual stones to practice every day. How could there be anything interesting? If I could practice safely and buy elixirs with spiritual stones, I would be very satisfied."

After hearing this, Lu Qiongying blinked: "So did you feel so miserable before..."

"What's the hardship? My uncle is a foundation-building monk. It's already very good that we both have a place to live. There are many young monks. It's not easy to rent a cave with spiritual energy..." Speaking of this, she remembered many unfair things she had seen with her second uncle in the past few years, and was stunned. Finally, she sighed, "It's not easy to be a casual cultivator..."

She hasn't remembered these past events for a long time. She is now highly cultivated and has an extraordinary identity. She is no longer the young monk who was struggling at the bottom of the immortal world back then. Looking back now, she misses her second uncle more and more. How great would it be if the second uncle could see today?

Thoughts were pulled back from the memories. She glanced at the little girl, suddenly laughed, and said slowly: "I know what your grandfather sent you to do. You, a little girl who has never experienced the world, would be too embarrassing for such a thing. Forget it, let me tell you the truth. If I want to be unfavorable to your Lu family, with my cultivation, I don't need to be silly. Of course, I do have some intentions when making good friends with you. Since I have explained it clearly, it's better to admit it frankly."

Seeing that her eyes were calm, but had a sharp edge, Lu Qiongying was shocked. Grandpa called her to come, really trying to test whether this senior stranger had other intentions. If he had no intention, then he would take the opportunity to give her some advice. If it was suspicious, then the Lu family would be ready early.

She has been smart since childhood and has always been favored at home. She feels that she pretends to be innocent and should be easily deceived by this senior, but she didn't expect that she was only eighteen years old, so how could she compare to this senior who had lived for hundreds of years? At this time, she regretted vaguely. If this senior really had any bad intentions, she would only have the seventh level of Qi Refining, so how could she keep her life?

"Former...sen..."

Mo Tiange smiled slightly, still as kind as before: "You don't have to be afraid. I don't want anything from your Lu family, I just ask some things. If you answered it all, I will leave now."

"Senior!" After hearing this, Lu Qiongying was a little anxious. Grandpa had given instructions. As long as this senior had no bad intentions, he must win over it. After all, it is rare for them to see a late-stage cultivator in the foundation-building stage!

Mo Tiange was unmoved, raised his hand, stopped her words, and then said, "You answer well. If you are satisfied, I will give you some benefits."

Lu Qiongying quickly swallowed the words behind her back. Although she was anxious, she knew that she could not afford to offend this senior, and the other party promised to give her benefits...

"What do you want to ask, I will tell you everything." At this time, Lu Qiongying was respectful and took off the naive girl's tone before, and she looked like a monk.

Mo Tiange felt that she was more pleasing to the eye, so he smiled and said quietly: "Let me talk about the general situation in the clouds first."

A strange color flashed in Lu Qiongying's eyes. She obviously didn't understand what was going on, but she still said honestly: "I don't know what Senior Mo wants to know?"

"Sections, spiritual veins, countries... have all agreed on everything." Mo Tiange said lightly, "If you know, just say as much as you say. If you say more, I will appreciate more." As she said that, she reached into the Qiankun bag, took out a jade bottle, and threw it to Lu Qiongying.

Lu Qiongying took it and opened it and found that it was the Qi Gathering Pill. There were thirty or fifty pieces in a bottle!

She was overjoyed. Even though she was a very favored junior of the Lu family, she ate Qi-raising pills on weekdays. The Qi-gathering pills only get one small bottle, about five or six pills every year. This senior strange man was so generous!

Thinking of this, she became more and more respectful: "Yes."

This Lu Qiongying is also a smart girl. After listening to Mo Tiange's words, he guessed that this senior was probably not a person from Yunzhong, so he started to talk about the region of Yunzhong and then slowly talked about sects and so on.

Mo Tiange just listened quietly.

The land in the clouds is large, with many countries, and there are many countries. However, there are only three great countries, Dongtang Kingdom, Southern Zhou Kingdom, and Beilin Kingdom. These three countries occupy most of the land in Yunzhong. Unlike the sky, these three countries are supported by the Immortal Cultivation Sect. Dongtang Kingdom and Southern Zhou Kingdom are the territory of the right path, while Beilin Kingdom is the territory of the demon.

On weekdays, these three kingdoms are peaceful. After all, there is no concept of the right and the demons in the clouds. Whether it is the right path or the demon, they all regard the principle of being alone in dealing with the world. They will fight unless there is a dispute over interests.

Dongtang Kingdom is mainly composed of practitioners and is also the largest country among the three major countries. There are countless small and medium sects, and there are five major sects: Jiuyan Sect, Danxia Sect, Jingxu Sect, Pufa Sect, and Five Elements Valley.

Among these five major sects, Jiuyan Sect is the most powerful. It is said that there are nine disciples under the founding sect’s ancestors. These nine disciples are very outstanding and jointly established a sect, respecting their master as the founding sect’s ancestors, so they are called Jiuyan Sect.

The Danxia Sect was originally second only to the Jiuyan Sect and was also a major sect, but it has declined in recent years. Among the five sects, it is only stronger than the Five Elements Valley.

Jingxu Sect and the Fa-Public Sect have equal power. Among them, Jingxu Sect’s founding sect’s ancestor was a woman, most of whom were female disciples.

In addition, the Five Elements Valley is a sect that specializes in formations. It is said that the disciples in the sect have good achievements in formations, but this kind of sect that focuses on the partial sect has never been very prosperous, so the Five Elements Valley is the weakest of the five major sects. However, despite this, other sects dare not deceive each other at all. After all, the largest barriers for the mountain gates of each sect are mountain protection formations. If they offend the Five Elements Valley, they will be troublesome when they fight.

In the Southern Zhou Dynasty, Confucianism controlled the government affairs, and in Buddhism controlled the national religion. Most of the common people in the Southern Zhou Dynasty believed in Buddhism, and there were Buddhist temples everywhere, and the incense was prosperous. Confucianism controlled the power of the country and used academies to educate the subjects. Because Confucianism and Buddhist practice were different and the doctrines were similar, the two were very harmonious.

Mo Tiange was very curious about this. Although she knew that there was Buddhist practice elsewhere, she had never seen it in Tianji. At this time, she couldn't help but ask for a few more words. Unfortunately, Lu Qiongying had never traveled outside, and Antarctic Island was far away from the mainland. She was not very familiar with Buddhist practice sects.

However, no matter how unknown Lu Qiongying is, Buddhist practice is common in the clouds, and he also knows a rough idea.

The so-called Buddha is enlightenment, which is said to be a sect passed down in ancient times. They focus on cause and effect, strictly discipline themselves, and believe that all evil thoughts are born from the mind, eliminate human desires, and become a Buddha through hard practice.

This made Mo Tiange feel a little strange. She naturally understood the so-called cause and effect. There is also such content in the Taoist sutras, but there is no such cautious person who practices Buddhism.

The way of practicing Buddhism is nothing more than three sentences: all actions are impermanent, all dharmas have no self, and nirvana is quiet. The so-called impermanence of all actions means that everything in the world is impermanent; all dharmas have no self, and the Buddha must let go of his obsessions in his heart and find the true self; nirvana is quiet, which is the final destination that the Buddha pursues, and is neither born nor destroyed, so as to achieve eternal life.

Mo Tiange slowly realized in his heart that he deeply realized that the so-called Buddhist practice actually had similarities with their Taoist practice. For example, cause and effect, such as impermanence in the world, and abandoning obsession. But on the other hand, the teachings of Buddhist practice are very different from those of them.

The Taoist scriptures say that heaven and earth are not kind, and all things are regarded as straw dogs. In other words, heaven and earth do not care about benevolence or unkindness. All things are born and destroyed by themselves and have their own destiny. Therefore, the practitioners of Tianji have never had the concept of so-called benevolence. Cultivating immortals is a road full of thorns. If they want to cultivate true immortals, they must fight out a bloody path. Kill with demons, kill monsters, and even with their kind. According to Lu Qiongying, the practitioners in the clouds are no different from Tianji.

But this is not the case with Buddhist practice. They cultivate their minds and themselves, and rarely have the intention of killing. They will stop killing unless they have to.

Therefore, in Yunzhong, there are few Buddhist practitioners who are more likely to be trapped in their state of mind. They have always been easier to advance to form elixirs and Nascent Soul than those who practice Taoism. But their disadvantage is that their cultivation speed is too slow. If a hundred qi-refining cultivators can produce one foundation-building cultivator, they need hundreds of them to produce one.

After hearing this, Mo Tiange fell into deep thought. She felt that she had grasped some key point.

Whether it is a practitioner or a practitioner of Buddha, there are contradictions in their doctrines, but fewer practitioners should practice Buddhism, at least they can make up for themselves, but in some places, the practitioners can't make sense.

Cultivating immortals and minds is something that these cultivators know since they embarked on the path of immortality, but why are they fighting with blood like monsters?

This chapter is boring, but it is not an insignificant content. These boring doctrines are related to the ending. In addition, the Tao and Buddha doctrines in this article are both distorted, and there are many differences from the real Tao and Buddha teachings. Please do not need to be serious.
