Two hundred and seventy-three, the book of saints

In the imperial garden, everything grows, lush and colorful, and is extremely beautiful.

The much thinner prince and several emperor uncles carefully followed his father to appreciate the flowers.

The emperor was very interested. He held the saint's book in his hand and said it to enjoy it for a few words. The atmosphere was harmonious, like a literati who visited a garden.

Since the death of the empress dowager, the prince could feel that his father had changed a lot, and seemed to be more intimate. He was no longer like before. Every time he was summoned, he was like a monarch and his subject, either asking about his studies or politics.

Moreover, the emperor now prefers to summon him and several emperor uncles to talk about the past, or read books, and recite poems, not as indifferent and ruthless as before.

After the prince returned to Beijing, he was neglected in the palace and was punished and confined. The only one who came to see him was the Empress. He was depressed and drunk every day, and only Sun Huan and Mr. Fang were chatting with him.

The prince also regretted not listening to Mr. Fang's words. Before leaving, Mr. Fang gave him two warnings: one is to treat local people well, and the other is to not seek profits.

The prince obeyed the first rule, but did not obey the second rule.

Failure to obey the second rule caused him to be defeated and ruined the imperial court's plan. People all over the world criticized him.

The first rule he followed saved his life. He did not kill the local people who were transformed from abroad, but let them go. As a result, when he was defeated that night, his personal soldiers protected him in panic and walked along the river bank and forests. He shouted behind him and shouted to kill him. The darkness in front of him was gone and there was no way ahead.

They hurriedly ran for a day and a night, tired and thirsty, and were in a panic, not knowing where they were, but the pursuers behind them were still there.

Just when the prince thought he was dead, the dirty, smelly and speechless people who had let go appeared, led the way for him and helped him repel the pursuers, and then fled back to Guazhou.

When the prince thinks about it now, he regrets it too much. If he remembers both, how could he be in a mess today?

When he came to his senses, the father and the emperor were talking arisen, and suddenly waved, "Crown Prince comes here."

The prince hurriedly went over with respect and saw his father holding the book of the sage in his hand and pointing at him, "What does this mean?"

When the prince saw it, it was what Meng Sheng said: "The people are the most important, the country is the next, and the king is the least important." Suddenly, in the hot summer, cold sweats emerged from his forehead.

"This is...this is the teaching of a saint. Those who are kings should pay attention to the country and the people, and do not consider their own interests. It is actually, it is actually...."

"Hmph, pedantic!" The father snorted and scolded: "This is a comfort to the ignorant and common people. You can say it, but you must not take it seriously. You can remember it in your heart."

The prince was stunned. He also read the saint's books since he was a child. He was connected with the front and back and the context. This is not the saint's meaning: "Father, but the saint's meaning..."

The emperor frowned, and the emperor's uncle also looked at him with strange eyes.

"What does the saint mean? What is the saint? Who knows in the world that I say this, just remember it for this purpose."

"Yes, Father." The prince looked confused, but he still bowed, then looked at the "Mencius" in his father's hand, and became a little worried because he knew the book...

The emperor flipped around and pointed to the page of the book: "What the saint wants to say is this sentence: There is no day, and no one is no two kings!"

"My son remember."

The emperor nodded, then turned around happily, his face immediately became unpleasant. The prince glanced secretly, which he had read:

"Mencius told King Xuan of Qi: 'If the king treats his ministers as his hands and feet, then the ministers will regard the king as their hearts; if the king treats his ministers as dogs and horses, then the ministers will regard the king as their countrymen; if the king treats his ministers as earth, then the ministers will regard the king as enemies."

"Hmph, it's not so sarcastic, too inconsistent!" The emperor was a little angry, "Treat you like a enemy? What are you saying!"

The prince was a little worried. He read the saint's books all year round, so he naturally remembered it.

My father only cares about the country and the country, worked hard for decades, and had no leisure to read it, but the sage's words were not so... It's the best.

Even the emperor next to him could see the clues and dare not speak.

The emperor quickly looked through it, and then his face became darker: "The thief is called a thief, and the thief is called a thief, and the thief is called a traitor. The thief is called a traitor. The traitor is called a traitor. He heard that he had killed a lord, but he had never heard of killing a lord!"

The emperor gritted his teeth.

The prince clasped his hands tightly in his sleeves, and he also knew this article:

King Xuan of Qi asked, "Tang released Jie, and King Wu defeated Zhou, are there any other things?"

Mencius replied, "It has been revealed in the preaching."

He said, "Is it okay for me to kill his king?"

He said: "Thieves and benevolent people call thieves, and those who make righteous people call traitors are called traitors. People who make traitors are called one husbands. I heard that one husband was killed, but I have never heard of killing the king."

Mencius and King Xuan of Qi talked about the affairs of Zhou and Shang, which actually meant that the king who destroyed benevolence and righteousness was not worthy of being a king, but the traitors in the people were the only men, and they could attack them together. This was to affirm the rebel revolution of the lower level!

The emperor became more and more angry as he looked at it. Finally, he threw the teacup on the stone table heavily. The emperor and the prince did not dare to breathe.

The emperor's chest was undulating and he began to read the books quickly. As he looked at it, he finally couldn't help but curse: "What kind of sages are all traitors, and they are nonsense!"

The book in his hand was thrown to the ground by him. When the prince saw it, it was Mencius. Ten thousand chapters: Heaven sees oneself and the people see, heaven hears oneself and the people listen!

What I fear most is still coming...

The prince thought that he should have replaced the Confucian book with the Legalists long ago.

Mencius said: There is no two days in heaven, and no two kings in man. The sage admits that there should be only one emperor in the world, and that the emperor's power is granted by heaven, so he is the emperor.

But Mencius also said: Heaven sees itself and the people see it, and heaven hears itself and the people hear it.

It means: what God sees is what the people see, and what God hears is what the people hear.

To be honest, the people are heaven, and the power of the king is the power of the people!

In fact, when the prince read these, he thought that if he ascended the throne, he would carefully rectify these so-called books of saints.

When the first emperor burned books and buryed scholars, he did not want these things to deceive the people. What people are the heavens, what monarchs are granted by the people, what people are the only ones who can be attacked are all ruthless words, and they are all words that teach the people to cause chaos.

If you can change it, you must make it clear if you can’t change it!

Due to the difficulty of recording, the words and sentences can be reduced as they are, and they are simple and meaningful. If a great scholar of the times is willing to stand up and speak, there will be a "release explanation" that convinces the world.

The emperor's face turned red, pointed to the book on the ground and stepped on it: "I have always thought that those who harmed our country of Jing were from Liao in the north, Baiyi in the south, and traitors in the south, but I didn't expect that in my sixties, I realized that those who harmed our country and our country were all in this book!

No wonder it has been a mess everywhere in the past two years. It’s all this bullshit saint! Mencius is not worthy of being a saint!"

"Burn it for me, come and burn it!" the emperor said angrily.

The prince hurriedly said, "Father, there are thousands of volumes of "Mencius" in the world, and it is impossible to burn it!"

"How can we eliminate the evil diseases of the country without burning? How to get rid of the great troubles in our hearts and how to solve the troubles that others say." The emperor shook his sleeves and said.

The prince looked around and whispered: "Father, if you don't burn books, you can change them."

The emperor glanced at him: "Hmph, you also said that there are thousands of books in the world, how can you modify them all?"

The prince said respectfully: "Father, what the son minister said is not to change the words, but to correct the meaning!

If the mind is correct, the words are smooth; if the words are smooth, the names are righteous, and you can stop making false statements!

If the people do not know books, they will be whatever the scholars say; if the scholars know books, they will be whatever the scholars say; if there are great scholars and celebrities, the literary masters will make corrections...will that will never benefit my family in the world in the world benefit the heavenly family in the world!"

When the emperor heard this, he frowned slightly, and then nodded slowly: "Okay, okay!"
