Chapter 540 Jinfeng Temple

Xuanzang entered Jinfeng Temple and chose to become the most ordinary closing.

Since his reputation in Luoyang before and his namelessness has not changed at all in Xuanzang's heart.

After entering Jinfeng Temple, Xuanzang was accompanied by the ancient Buddha in the green lamp every day, sweeping the floor and fetching water during the day, ringing the bell and chanting the Buddha's name at night, and his life was poor, without joy or sorrow.

However, in Xuanzang's heart, the desire to ask for the truth was even stronger, undoubtedly stronger.

The calmer the expression on Xuanzang's face, the greater the turbulence in his heart and the more violent it will be.

But under the storm of my heart, I still have a heart that is at a loss.

Xuanzang felt that if he did not solve this problem in this life, in addition to regrets, it would also lead to great disasters.

But now Xuanzang doesn't know how to solve it.

He saw through the warmth and coldness of the world and understood all the scriptures that could be seen in the Tang Dynasty. His exhaustion of Buddhism had reached an extremely high level, but even so, Xuanzang's heart still felt empty.

One day, in the Jinfeng Temple, Xuanzang was sitting cross-legged and reciting scriptures silently.

Behind the door, a slight sound came, Xuanzang did not look back, and he already knew who it was from the sound of footsteps.

"Amitabha."

A hoarse voice came, and an old monk sat cross-legged beside Xuanzang and gently chanted the Buddha's name.

Xuanzang did not reply, but just continued to knock on the wooden fish in front of him, his face calm.

"Xuanzang..." The old monk turned his head to look at Xuanzang, and said softly: "It has been a year since you arrived in my Jinfeng Temple?"

"Three hundred and forty-six days."

Xuanzang tapped the wooden fish gently, his tone calm.

"I remember so clearly that it shows that Master Xuanzang has a clear mind every day."

The old monk said softly, then looked at the Buddha statue in front of him and whispered: "Daily facing the ancient Buddha of Qinglan, Master Xuanzang, what have you seen clearly?"

"Amitabha."

Upon hearing this, Xuanzang chanted the Buddha's name softly, and then said, "Abbot, what's the matter? Please tell me clearly."

"I have heard of Master Xuanzang's previous deeds."

The old abbot looked at Xuanzang and chuckled softly, "Why do you want to be an ordinary monk who keeps Zen in Jinfeng Temple again?"

"The Dharma is boundless, and Xuanzang chose this just to find the answer."

Xuanzang never thought of hiding anything from anyone about the thought in his heart.

But in fact, this old monk was the first to see Xuanzang's thoughts.

Xuanzang's heart was as calm as water, and the Buddhist scriptures in his heart kept silent, which made his emotions that had just fluctuated in his heart be suppressed again.

"The Buddha said, one sand is one world, one leaf is one Bodhi.

Master Xuanzang is empty here, but how can he find the answer in his heart?”

The old monk chuckled and asked softly.

"I have traveled all over the Tang Dynasty to find answers, but things went against my wishes. I only saw the wasted time in the world and did nothing."

"Where can we find this ultimate answer in this world?"

Xuanzang still did not look back. The old monk's words contained a hint of Zen. With Xuanzang's wisdom, how could he not see clearly?

But he was unwilling to speak. If this old abbot really had something to say, he would naturally say it.

"Sha is the world, Ye is Bodhi, but Master Xuanzang is looking for the answer in this small Tang Dynasty. Don't you think it's a little wrong?"

When Xuanzang heard this, he smiled slightly and said nothing. He recited the scriptures in his heart again, suppressing the emotions that had just risen again.

"Master Xuanzang, what I just said is just some simple insights."

The old monk looked at Xuanzang and whispered: "Master Xuanzang is such a high-ranking monk, but he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in my Jinfeng Temple, right?"

"Amitabha."

Xuanzang chanted the Buddha's name softly, and then he finally turned his head, looked at the old abbot beside him, and whispered: "Abbot, what do you want to say?"

"Hahaha."

When the old monk heard this, he suddenly laughed and said, "Master Xuanzang, you are proficient in Buddhism and know the principles of Buddhism. I have already said this, but the master asked the old monk what he wanted to say?"

"Master Xuanzang, I'm afraid that there will be an answer in your heart, but you don't even want to believe the truth or falsehood of this answer!"

When Xuanzang heard this, he was immediately shocked and his emotions fluctuated. Xuanzang recited the scriptures silently in his heart again, trying to suppress the uneasy fluctuations in his heart, but no matter how he recited silently, he could not suppress them.

His eyes were bright, as if he had seen the light of hope. This desire appeared in Xuanzang's heart, which immediately made him feel energetic.

"Abbot...you..."

Xuanzang was completely confused about the Dharma. The old monk's words only a few light words aroused the strongest desire deep in his heart, which was to make up for the gap in Buddhism...

"Hahahaha..." The old monk looked at Xuanzang, laughed and said, "Master Xuanzang, you must take care of yourself at this time!"

"You must know that there are people outside people, there are mountains outside the mountains, and there are also boundaries outside this world!"

"There is no fruit under the Bodhi tree, so why do you need to fall in love with the past in the world?

The Buddha nature is always pure, where is dust? The body is a Bodhi tree, and the mind is a mirror platform."

"Xuanzang, Xuanzang, hahaha..."

After saying that, the old monk stood up straight, waved his hand, and his figure instantly disappeared from Xuanzang.

Then, not only the old monk, but also the house where Xuanzang was located, also instantly turned into ashes and disappeared without a trace.

Then, the entire Jinfeng Temple disappeared completely from Xuanzang, including the monks living in this temple, temples, halls, Buddha statues, etc., all turned into ashes in an instant.

After a moment, everything disappeared. Xuanzang was surprised to find that he was standing in a wilderness at the moment, and Jinfeng Temple, which he had lived for nearly a year before, had completely disappeared.

Xuanzang was stunned for a moment. He had no idea why such a thing happened in front of him. At this moment, he was completely confused.

Xuanzang's mind was filled with the crazy voice of the old monk before. All of this seemed to be illusory, but it really appeared in his heart.

Xuanzang lowered his head and looked at his clothes, but found that he was not wearing any rough clothes, but patched coarse cloth clothes.

In a trance, Xuanzang felt a little confused. Everything he had experienced before seemed to be completely illusory, and seemed to be completely real, which made him unable to distinguish.

After a long time, Xuanzang stood up, and there was darkness around him, and he could not tell the way ahead at all.

My mind was in chaos, and Xuanzang groped in the darkness and found a way down the mountain.

This road is very bumpy. After stumbled along the way, I saw the bright lights in front of me.
