213 To Mr Laird(1/2)

The rolling roof is covered with a thin layer of snow. The dazzling light after the fog dissipates is particularly dazzling under the reflection of the snow.

Laird stood by a beautifully decorated window, and carefully wiped a fully wrapped steel armor with the sunlight shining in from the window.

On the sofa not far away, there was a young man with long white hair and thin body.

He held a glass with exquisitely crafted workmanship, which contained light brown pine candy coca.

He picked up the cup and took a sip, looking very gentlemanly.

"I thought you wouldn't go back to Christa?"

"I didn't plan to come back."

Laird, who was wiping the steel armor, replied in a rough voice.

The white-haired young man put down the glass in his hand, took out the handkerchief from his arms, and wiped his mouth.

Continue to ask,

"Then why are you back?"

"Kaos, you have so many problems."

Laird turned around and wiped his hands twice with the cotton cloth that wiped his armor.

"Of course I have a reason to come back."

"I'm just curious. Since you don't want to satisfy a friend's curiosity, then forget it."

The white-haired young man Kaos spread his hands.

"Can't you just put away your curiosity a little? You still complain that your white hair...you secretly drank my afternoon tea again?"

Laird wanted to complain about his hair, but then he found that the afternoon tea he prepared for himself on the tea table had been stolen and was speechless.

This guy would come here every now and then to eat and drink. If he hadn't seen that he had studied under the same teacher, he would have knocked him out.

Although this guy looks handsome, knows etiquette and upright gentleman, he is actually a big gangster inside.

The big gangster white-haired young man Kaos spread his hands,

"When I came here, I walked for a long time and was a little thirsty. You probably wouldn't mind it?"

"I mind very much."

After saying that, Laird turned around and walked towards the fireplace, ready to pour himself a glass of hot water again.

Kaos picked up the pine candy coca from the coffee table and continued to drink it with peace of mind.

"Hurry up and leave after drinking."

Laird walked across from Kaos with a cup of hot water.

Kaos shook his head,

"I still haven't finished talking about it, so let me have dinner."

"What can you do? Want to have dinner? Go to the bathroom by yourself."

Laird was very upset.

Kaos was also disgusted, and the afternoon tea he held in his hand was no longer fragrant.

So he put down the teacup and looked at Laird with a serious expression.

"Okay, let's talk about serious business. Over the years, have you found a way to combine arcane and mechanical technology?"

“It has been found.”

Laird nodded, and the device, which was named the arcane element engine prototype driven by the arcane array thunderfield, appeared in his mind.

That is the device in his mind that perfectly combines arcane elements with machinery.

But his own wisdom is limited, and he has not yet figured out the reason for holding the epoch-making gift given to him by Master Black Crow.

After listening to his answer, Kaos was obviously stunned.

Then he looked at himself, the nominal "junior brother" with a look of surprise.

"Finally found? It's impossible."

Kaos shook his head and expressed his disbelief.

Laird shrugged, blew the steaming water in the quilt, and took a sip, without saying a word.

It's obvious that I'm too lazy to explain.

"Since you have found it, why do you still have to run back to the capital?"

"I said, I'm back for my reason."

"Because of the riot in Dongting City?"

"Have you finished drinking? After you finish drinking, you will leave."

Laird impatiently put down the water cup and began to ban the guest.

"Okay, okay, I won't say it anymore, I won't say it anymore."

Kaos raised his hand to surrender, changed the subject and continued to chat with Laird,

"Have you heard about the research being conducted by the Cristoevo Institute in the King Capital recently?"

"That so-called restart of the 'Arcane Elements Project'?"

Laird said softly, with a very obvious tone,

"I took out the cold rice more than a hundred years ago, and I took it out and fryed it a hundred years later."

“Cold rice? Fried?”

Although Kaos vaguely understood what Laird expressed, he was very unfamiliar with the phrases he used to compare them.

Never heard of it before.

"Is it a slang for Dongting City?"

"No, I learned it from one person."

"who?"

Kaos immediately instinctively asked.

Laird rolled his eyes directly, as if he said again: You just talked too much.

Kaos smiled awkwardly,

"I came today, actually wanting to invite you and me to join the 'Arcane Element' program of the Christopher Institute, but now it seems that I am the only one who joins myself."

"You want to join the Christopher Institute?"

This time it was Laird's turn to be surprised.

As far as he knows, Kaos is now a senior craftsman, working as a junior consultant in the Kingdom Machinery and Craftsmen Association.

He also owns his own machinery manufacturing factory, which specializes in providing some components of steam rotary balls for steam power plants under the Mechanical and Craftsman Association.

With his conditions, joining the Christopher Institute is completely a failure to make a fortune.

Fortunately, Kaos is not stupid either.

He shook his head,

"It's not about joining the Christopher Institute, but about joining their Arcane Elements Project, which is different from joining their Institute."

"It's better not to join."

Laird nodded. Although he often couldn't help but hurt him on weekdays, he actually regarded him as an old friend in his heart.

He still remembered that when he left Dongting City, his tickets were paid by Kaos.

Although he was not without money at that time.

"Why, aren't you optimistic about the 'Arcane Elements Project'?"

Kaos felt that his friend was vaguely persuading him to keep a distance from the Arcane Elemental Plan, so he couldn't help asking.

Laird frowned and pursed his lips.

In fact, he didn't know how to answer this question, and he knew something about the "Arcane Elemental Plan".

Even his dedication to seeking the combination of arcane and machinery was influenced by the failed "plan" a hundred years ago.

If he had not gone to Dongting City, had not participated in the secret meeting organized by the Light Arcane School, had not met the Black Crow Master, had not had the experience of experimenting with the Black Crow Master, and had not had the arcane element engine prototype given to him by the Black Crow Master...

Then he would unwaveringly believe that the ‘Arcane Element Project’ would be the greatest plan of this era.

But, there is no if.

"The Arcane Elements Plan...is still not thorough enough."

Laird murmured on his own words that made Kaos completely unable to understand his ideas.

"Not thorough enough? What's not thorough enough?"
To be continued...
