Chapter 004 Official Fan Shi Xian

Wei Pavilion is located on Jixian Peak on the southern foot of Hengshan Mountain.

During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, wars flew in the north and the south of the Yangtze River were relatively stable. Taoism flourished in the south. Hengshan was one of the famous Taoist mountains. There were many Taoist temples on the mountain, and there were more than 30 more than thirty still left. Wei Pavilion is the most incense among them. Legend has it that during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Mrs. Wei practiced Taoism here for 16 years and ascended in the sun. Later generations respected it as Mrs. Nanyue. This Taoist temple was also called Wei Pavilion.

In the Tang Dynasty, Taoism was regarded as the national religion, and practicing Taoism and becoming an immortal was the dream of many people. The legend of Mrs. Nanyue aroused the interest of many people. In addition, Wei Ge was close to Hengzhou City at the foot of the mountain and it was very convenient to travel, so it became the favorite place for many semi-hidden people.

Li Mi lived in Wei Pavilion and went to Prajna Temple on Tianzhu Peak to visit the laziness monk and another great master who was known as the stone monk.

Li Zaixing followed Li Mi to enter Wei Pavilion. When he was at the door, Li Mi stopped, exclaimed curiously, and stopped. Li Zaixing asked in confusion: "What's wrong?"

Li Mi stretched out his hand and pointed.

Li Zaixing looked along his hand and saw two horses on the horse tethered stake in the distance, and a gorgeously decorated carriage. There were several young men wearing brocade robes standing next to the carriage. Although Li Zaixing was not very clear about the costumes of the Tang Dynasty, he could guess that this should be a follower of a wealthy family. However, with Li Mi's identity and experience, he would not have made such a fuss.

"There are distinguished guests in the temple?"

"I'm afraid yes." Li Mi nodded, his eyes shrank: "The yellow and white horse is called Tellupi. It is produced in Dayuan and is extremely rare in Jiangnan. Even Chang'an is extremely rare. A person who can have such a horse is probably not as simple as ordinary wealth."

Li Zaixing couldn't help but feel a little ashamed. Li Mi was indeed a meticulous person. He could think of so much from a horse. Because of his previous life, he loved horses very much. He only saw that this horse was a good horse, but he didn't expect that this horse would be so expensive.

Li Mi took another look, led Li Zaixing into the viewing door, turned to the corridor next to him, and was about to walk towards the guesthouse where he lived, a Taoist boy walked towards him with a smile on his face: "Li Jun is back."

Li Mi was a little surprised: "Are you waiting for me?"

"A distinguished guest came to the temple. I heard that Li Jun is here, so I asked me to invite Li Jun to meet him. Unexpectedly, Li Jun went there for most of the day and couldn't even catch up with the lunch."

"What kind of distinguished guest?"

"Former Hanlin scholar Li Xian."

"Li Bai?" Li Mi frowned and suddenly laughed: "It turns out it's him, it seems he's rich again."

When Li Zaixing heard the three words Li Bai, Li Zaixing suddenly felt his heart beating a little fast. When it comes to Li Bai, everyone knows it. Even people like him who have no love for poetry know Li Bai's name. It can be said that Li Bai is synonymous with the prosperous Tang Dynasty. How many children in later generations have never read Li Bai's poems? I didn't expect to meet such a heavyweight poet as soon as I got off the mountain.

However, while Li Zaixing was excited, he still noticed Li Mi's disdain sensitively. He immediately put away his unopened smile and looked at Li Mi quietly. Li Mi pondered for a moment: "When I go back and change my clothes, I will go and have a visit."

The little Taoist boy welcomed and saw him off, and he was also a person who was good at observing his face. Seeing Li Mi's expression, he quickly gave a gift: "Then I will reply to the master and the bachelor's degree and tell them this good news."

Li Mi responded and led Li Zaixing into the guest house of Xiqianyuan. He pushed open the door and Li Mi reached out and signaled: "My brother, sit down."

Li Zaixing leaned the long pole outside the door, drew some water into the well in the yard, washed his face, and then looked at Li Mi who was still frowning: "Why, Sanlang doesn't want to see Li Shixian?"

Li Mi glanced at him, thought for a moment, and said helplessly: "My brother doesn't know that the poems of this immortal are indeed good, elegant, bold and voluntary, classical and elegant, and novel, which is rare for people. However, this man is unruly and unruly, and he is inevitably a little ashamed of his fairy spirit. A few years ago, he was given gold for his temper. In recent years, he traveled around, constantly visiting the powerful and noble, hoping to enter the official career again, but gained nothing. I heard that I am here and am eager to see me, so I am afraid it is also related to this. When I met, I really don't know how to answer him."

Li Zaixing understood. Li Bai was given gold and released a few years ago - to put it bluntly, he was dismissed by the emperor. After returning home, he was still unwilling to be lonely and sought officials everywhere, but he didn't think about it. How many officials dared to use the emperor's dismissal? It was reasonable that he came to Wei Pavilion. Li Bai might not have been for Li Mi, but once he heard that Li Mi was anxious to see him here, it might be related to Li Mi's special identity.

Although Li Mi is also a person seeking official position now, his future is definitely not comparable to Li Bai. Firstly, it is because Li Mi is still young, and secondly, it is because Li Mi is not only the young hero he likes today, but also the prince's good friend. Once the prince ascends the throne, Li Mi will definitely rise to the top. Li Bai has been in the Chang'an court and may have known this, so he condescends to Li Mi for his age and identity.

I didn't expect that this poet is still an official fan.

However, Li Mi did not want to see Li Bai, probably not just because Li Bai wanted to join in with a relationship and seek an official position. From Li Mi's tone, he could hear that he was not very interested in the character of this poetic immortal. The four words "unrestrained and unruly" are not good words, and shame for the fairy spirit is a derogatory term.

"What's wrong with this Li Shixian doing things?"

"Oh, it is said that he was originally from Suiye. He had a few more humble spirits in his nature. His movements and demeanors were inconsistent with the teachings of the saints. It was also a bit ridiculous to maintain his life and establish himself in the world." Li Mi sighed: "Even if you drink and mislead the etiquette of a minister, you will lose the morality of a minister. You can also say that it is the nature of a poet. If you marry into a power family and be greedy for wealth and honor, this is a bad personal morality. Brother, please sit down and I will go."

Li Mi obviously did not intend to talk more about Li Bai with Li Zaixing. He asked Li Zaixing to sit for a while, changed his clothes, and went reluctantly. Although Li Zaixing didn't know what Li Mi was saying, he could also hear that Li Mi was not only not interested in Li Bai, but was simply disgusted. It would be fine if he could drink to make trouble, but he was resentful of Li Bai's personal morality. Has Li Bai ever been a son-in-law in the family of power? This is indeed not a good thing. Whether in ancient or the 21st century, son-in-law in the family was not very nice, let alone being greedy for other people's wealth. Even Li Zaixing felt that it was a bit too much.

Is Li Bai such a person? Li Zaixing was a little disappointed. He had been with Li Mi for a while and knew that Li Mi rarely said behind his back that he was not a man. He said that Li Bai today, and probably wouldn't be wronged. Li Bai must have done these things.

The truth is so desperate. Li Zaixing sighed, drove Li Bai out of his mind, and looked at the surrounding environment. Li Mi's room was very simple, with a bed, a few seats, a simple screen, a few books on the desk, and a clothes on the chair. There was nothing else.

Li Zaixing was bored, so he flipped over the books on the desk. After looking at them for a few glances, he felt bored. In the eight years in this world, he had read only a handful of books. The master never reads books, and the things he learned from his master were all dictated. The most common words he saw were the steles in the temple, the poems and essays on the walls. He had not seen any serious books or the scriptures in the temple, but he was not interested in Buddhist scriptures and had never read them.

The books on Li Mi's desk are handwritten, vertical and traditional Chinese characters. What made Li Zaixing even more depressed was that there were no punctuation and sentences, which looked very awkward. Only then did Li Zaixing realize that although he had been in this world for eight years, he was still quite far from integrating into this world. Even if he did not plan to take the Jinshi exam as an official, he would be inaccessible to contact people in the future. Reading and writing were essential basic abilities.

Li Zaixing gritted his teeth and read the book word by word. It took him a lot of effort to see that it was a book of military strategy, as if it was written by a man surnamed Wei. The passage that Li Zaixing was reading was about coaching soldiers, which was very similar to infantry exercises. Li Zaixing was interested, but with his poor ancient Chinese level, it was no simpler to see that the general idea was not simple. To figure out or even understand the essence of it, it was tantamount to dreams.

Fortunately, Li Zaixing has a kind of resilience. Although he read slowly and didn't understand it, it did not prevent him from continuing to read. However, before he could read for a long time, his thoughts were interrupted by the sounds outside. The few words he had just read flew out of the sky.

As soon as he stood up, a figure broke in. This man was about six feet tall, even in later generations, a big man wearing a soft-legged head, a blue round-necked shirt, and a pair of black leather boots. The most eye-catching thing was that he had a leather belt around his waist and a gorgeously decorated long sword. Judging from the scratches at the sword, this sword was probably not used as a decoration, but a murderous sword, which added a bit of mighty spirit to the scribe's dress.

The visitor looked at Li Zaixing up and down and smiled: "Is this the Venerable of Prajna Temple that Li prodigy has never forgotten?"

When Li Zaixing heard this, he estimated that the old man with a long beard in front of him, who was about fifty years old, was the poet Li Bai. Judging from his slightly sarcastic tone, he was in a bad mood. Li Zaixing glanced at Li Mi who was rushing toward him and Li Mi spread his hands helplessly, expressing his speechlessness.

Li Zaixing understood and smiled faintly: "I have not received the ten precepts, but I am not considered a Buddhist. I am just a martial artist and I am not known as a venerable. I am the poet Li Bai who came from the water of the Yellow River and flowed to the sea and never returned?"

Li Bai was stunned for a moment, his face a little surprised: "The water of the Yellow River comes from the sky, flows to the sea and never returns? Whose poem is this, what a great spirit?"
