Poznan, September 16, 1919. [Belarusian Front Command.

When Tukhachevsky put down his telescope, anyone could see that his face was very bad. Not only was he repelled by the interference army of the Allied forces in the last attack, but more importantly, he was quite shocked by the combat skills and firepower displayed by the enemy!

The cavalry of the Red Army's charge and the machine gun carriages that won many battles on the domestic battlefield have become children's toys in Poznan. Under the greetings of enemy cannons and armored cars, they were defeated. If it were not for the initiative and were temporarily in the hands of Tukhachevsky, this attack commanded by him would have been completely defeated. The troops he was proud of would be eaten by the enemy in one bite!

"Suspend the attack," Tukhachevsky said gloomyly, "Let the troops strengthen the fortifications on site!"

After saying this, Tukhachevsky left on his own. He needed to calm down and think about how to open up the situation.

The battle in Poznan is completely different from the Russian Civil War. In the Russian Civil War, no matter the Red Army or the White Army, there was basically no so-called complete front. Neither the sides had enough materials or time to maintain the front. The battle of a thousand miles was as normal as drinking boiled water.

However, Poznan is a typical positional warfare in the first-class style. The Allied Intervention Army, which was temporarily at a "disadvantage", built a solid position and built four defense lines around Poznan, barbed wire, anti-tank trenches, and mine formations. For the Red Army, who are good at maneuvering but have weak firepower, this is a hard bone.

However, Tukhachevsky had no choice, no matter what his personal thoughts were. He had to chew this bone. Anyway, Trotsky had repeatedly urged him to liberate Poznan and ordered him to march forward bravely towards Berlin.

"I need cannons! Especially heavy cannons!"

For the first time, Tukhachevsky used two exclamation marks at the beginning of the re-energy of Trotsky, and both of them were highlighting the role of cannons. This was quite unusual for him who had despised the role of artillery before.

"The enemy's position is very strong and has sufficient position combat experience. It is difficult for our cavalry to play a role in this static battlefield. If you want to break through the position, you can only use cannons to open the way!"

If Li Xiaofeng saw this telegram, he would probably have to shake his head, because the battle has proved that it is not useful to have cannons alone. Otherwise, why should he invent a tank? As a semi-scout fan of later generations, Li Xiaofeng knew that if he wanted to break through a solid position, it would be impossible to have cannons alone! Even tanks alone would not be able to have tanks!

Breakthrough combat has never been a single weapon that can work, nor can it be used by the sea of people with more people and more artillery. To break through the position, you have to work harder on tactics. Precise tactical combinations are much more useful than cannon tanks.

In fact, at the end of World War I, the countries participating in the war had already realized this. After careful research and deduction, the Germans established a "successful squad" specifically for breakthrough operations. This unit applied new tactics to make the infantry no longer act like cannon fodder. They proved in their final offensive that even without tanks, infantry could break through solid positions.

Unfortunately, the Germans' experience came too late. Before they could promote infantry assault tactics on a large scale, the war ended. The Russians were even more unlucky. Before the Tsar's collapse, they were ordinary soldiers as gray animals and used them as human sandbags, so naturally they could not talk about any infantry tactics. In the Russian civil war after the Tsar's collapse, the form of war was far from the First World War or modern warfare. The combat experience gained during the period was of no help in breaking through positions, and even brought a pit to Tukhachevsky and others.

Therefore, Tukhachevsky's idea of facing a solid defensive position was still in 1916, thinking that with cannons, he could solve all problems. It has to be said that the genius marshal at this time lags behind the times in terms of tactics or breakthrough tactics.

What's even more sad is that in the face of Tukhachevsky's tactical requirements that lag behind the times, Trotsky was unable to meet it. Lao Tor could not provide the cannons that Tukhachevsky wanted, and even sent telegrams to Tukhachevsky: "Can we bypass Poznan, use the high mobility of the Belarusian Front to penetrate deeply, and use mobile warfare to force the enemy to give up the position?"

The answer is naturally impossible. Can you bypass Poznan and Berlin? If you want to win the revolution, you can’t always avoid the problem of overcoming the tough situation? Besides, how to solve the supply?

In any case, in Tukhachevsky's opinion, Trotsky's suggestion was to commit suicide, to be eager to achieve success, and there was a suspicion of sending the Belarusian front into the enemy's pocket. As an excellent military strategist, Tukhachevsky still had this most basic quality, so he rejected Trotsky's suggestion and once again strongly demanded fire support.

Trotsky suddenly became a little fussed. He thought that winning Warsaw was a great honor, which meant that his route would be a complete victory. But after he really grabbed the burden of Warsaw, he realized that the joy of victory disappeared so quickly, and the next thing was endless trouble.

The millions of people in Warsaw are hungry, and Trotsky is overwhelmed by a food problem. In fact, Li Xiaofeng had reminded him a long time ago, but at that time, Trotsky only thought about how to promote his route, and no one else could listen to the opinions of others. So it was not until he fell into the pit that he fell and was bleeding. Damn, this is really a pit!

It's not just a pit, it's simply a bottomless pit! You know, Li Xiaofeng completely isolated and blocked Warsaw for two or three months, during which time, the last little life-saving food for the residents of Warsaw had been exhausted. The food crisis in front of Trotsky was not buffered at all!

What's even more terrifying is that a certain immortal ordered the East Prussian People's Liberation Army to sweep more than once in the area around Warsaw. Basically, all the ones that could be grabbed were snatched, and almost all the remaining ones that could not be grabbed were mines!

Originally, Trotsky was preparing to attack the Polish bourgeoisie and beating their robberies. But soon he found that the Polish bourgeoisie's robberies were hollow and had been knocked out by a certain immortal. Nothing was left for him except for real estate that could not be eaten or drunk.

This is quite deadly. The Polish bourgeoisie has become a poor man, and the autumn wind of the Polish proletariat cannot be beaten. It can be said that Trotsky is in a very embarrassing situation and is in a dilemma.

Trotsky was so angry that he made a small report to the Politburo and sued a certain immortal: "The looting of Poland by the East Prussian People's Liberation Army seriously affected the lives of the Polish people and caused extremely bad effects... This behavior must be corrected!"

In fact, everyone knew what Trotsky wanted to say the most. He was simply complaining that a certain immortal and the Jews had stolen all the resources they could take away and did not leave them for him at all. He wanted to squeeze oil from a certain immortal under the guise of criticism.

"This is nonsense!" Sverdlov could not accept it first, not only because a certain immortal was his brother, but also because a certain immortal had already mentioned this problem before. "Comrade Andrei had reminded before that Poland's economy had collapsed and that Warsaw was a heavy economic and political burden. He advised us not to liberate Warsaw easily before we were ready. And what Comrade Trotsky said before. He had been saying that liberating Warsaw was a small problem, and he was completely prepared... And now? The facts proved that his preparations were empty words. There was no preparation at all! At this time, he did not think about how to actively solve the problem, but instead criticized his friends in East Prussia. What is this reason?"

Although Bukharin had differences with Trotsky on the issue of entering Poland, they were still from the same faction. At this time, even if it makes sense to admit that Xiao Si's words make sense, he must speak for Trotsky:

"That's true, but the actual situation in Poland is too bad, the bourgeoisie is swept away, and the more than two-month blockade further exacerbated the crisis. Comrade Trotsky can be said to have caught up with the full outbreak of the crisis, and even if he is prepared, he will inevitably be caught off guard..."

Stalin sarcastically said: "This fully demonstrates that Trotsky is too hasty. He should wait for the full outbreak of the food crisis in Warsaw to promote the revolutionary process in Poland, so that he will be much more proactive and there is no need to sit on wax like he is now!"

To be honest, Stalin's words are a bit unreasonable. The full outbreak of the crisis in Warsaw is actually a mutual promotion process. If the Belarusian front does not enter Poland, the crisis may not have erupted so quickly. And once the Allies take the lead in interfering and supporting Poland, the crisis may disappear invisibly. In short, the broom will not run away by itself without the dust.

"The most important thing now is not to hold accountable, but how to solve the difficulties encountered by Comrade Trotsky and the Belarusian Front!"

Bukharin has said the point this time. What's the point of talking about pursuing responsibility at this time? It's better to get some useful information and think about how to help Trotsky!

"I suggest," Bukharin continued, "let the Baltic Front and the People's Republic of East Prussia support Comrade Trotsky and deal with this crisis first!"

Is Bukharin's suggestion correct? From the overall perspective, this is correct. The Belarusian Front made a mistake in Poland, and East Prussia naturally had a cold lips. But in the eyes of Sverdlov and Stalin, it was not that cheap!

In their opinion, if Trotsky spoke well before, he would not have to hold the so-called "responsibility" of the East Prussian People's Liberation Army as soon as he opened his mouth, but would honestly ask for support, then he would have to assist the Belarusian Front.

But it was not the case just now. Trotsky came up and did not ask for help but bite people. East Prussia and our Lenin faction do not owe you anything, why are you arrogant? Do you really think you are the top leader of the party and the boss?

Since you don’t speak well, I’m sorry, we are not used to your bad temper, we don’t speak well, we want help, right? No! When will you learn to ask for help?

Sverdlov and Stalin both made a tough statement, even if Lenin may not fully agree with their approach, he had to maintain his right-hand man's authority. So Trotsky's accusations were only exchanged for the Politburo's criticism:

"Comrade Trotsky, the first thing you need to do at this time is to criticize yourself. It is precisely because you have insufficient estimates of the bad situation in Poland that it has led to a comprehensive passiveness. The East Prussian People's Liberation Army is a mighty and strict army. It is also an important friend and partner of the Red Army. In this crisis moment, you should unite more friends, rather than create conflicts within the revolutionary front!"

Of course, Lenin would not give Trotsky any face at all. He agreed with Bukharin's opinion very much. The most important thing now is to solve the problem, not to make internal arguing.

So in the second half of the telegram, he instructed: "... Of course, the problem in Poland is very serious. It is much more difficult than the Politburo had expected before... The Politburo can also understand and understand your actual situation, and will try its best to coordinate and help you solve these problems... The Politburo suggested that Comrade Tukhachevsky ask for assistance from the East Prussian People's Republic of China in the name of the commander-in-chief of the Belarusian Front. We have contacted Comrade Andre Petrovic, who agreed to assist Tukhachevsky in communicating with comrades in East Prussia."

After reading the telegram, Trotsky was mixed with emotion. It was obvious that Lenin overwhelmed him in this confrontation. According to Trotsky's original plan, this time venting his dissatisfaction with East Prussia was actually a fire reconnaissance. He was actually testing the reaction of the central government, and seeing whether there were many people supporting Lenin or many people supporting him.

If those who support him have already gained the upper hand, then Trotsky will naturally crush East Prussia strongly and force Li Xiaofeng to submit. This means that he will fully sound the horn of counterattacking Lenin.

Unfortunately, things went against his wishes. Judging from the reactions of the Politburo and the Central Committee, the Lenin faction still had the upper hand. His temptation was directly beaten back, and Lenin was beaten hard by him. Although Lenin asked Tukhachevsky to come forward and ask for help, it seemed to be taking care of Trotsky's face and giving him a way out. But in fact, Trotsky himself knew that the so-called sweet date was very lethal. Because Lenin was doing it for the whole party to see, and was announcing to the party: "I see if I don't, I still maintain the overall situation. If I don't take care of Trotsky's face, he will not be able to get out of this matter!"

To be honest, Lenin's subtext is what made Trotsky the most depressing and atmosphere. He could only warn himself over and over again: "Patient, I need to be more patient."

Trotsky knew that this was not a time to act voluntarily, so he would be better to accept Lenin's kindness obediently. If you really want to have a stumble, he would definitely be the one who was unlucky.

Of course, Trotsky is not so easy to "bully", and he will not admit defeat. The "aid list" he prepared by himself was soon handed to Li Xiaofeng with Tukhachevsky's hand. When Li Xiaofeng saw this thick list, he couldn't help but be furious: "Trotsky, you bully people too much!"

There is no way, who made Trotsky speak out? If East Prussia really took medicine according to the prescription and "assisted" all the materials on the list to Trotsky, then East Prussia really felt that it would not be enough to take off her pants, or even take off her pants!

If you follow Li Xiaofeng's previous temper, you will just be silent and will not give any assistance - aren't you Trotsky awesome? I'll be even more awesome than you!

Fortunately, after the past two years of training, Li Xiaofeng is no longer as impulsive as before. He is no longer so impulsive. After a moment of anger, he thought a lot.

Don't Trotsky know how excessive this list is? I'm afraid he must know that that guy was just intentional. The reason why he did this was nothing more than two purposes: the first was to see if he could anger Li Xiaofeng, and the second was to use this to test it again and then touch the bottom line of the Lenin faction.

If Li Xiaofeng can anger and make things bigger, Trotsky is not afraid at all. He is just afraid that things will not be big enough. Anyway, the whole party now knows that the Belarusian Front and Poland are the most important, and everything must serve the Polish battle. Whoever pulls the blame on this issue will be the enemy of the whole party. If Li Xiaofeng can automatically stand on this opposite side, then Trotsky doesn't mind crushing someone.

Of course, if someone is not fooled, it doesn't matter. Anyway, the aid Trotsky asked for is there. As long as someone gives, he can continue to argue no matter how much he gives. Trotsky can use this to test the reality of the Lenin faction and figure out where Lenin's bottom line is.

Let's put it this way, Trotsky will not lose money no matter how he looks at it.

But is this true? He never expected that after Li Xiaofeng received the "aid list", he said nothing and handed it to Pavel directly. He also publicly expressed his hope that Pavel would do his best to help the Belarusian front in view of the traditional friendship between the two sides.

Then what? Then there was nothing. Why didn't it? Because the People's Committee of the Diplomatic People's Republic of East Prussia received complaints from the ambassador of the People's Republic of East Prussia, the ambassador almost rebuked the "assistance list" in an accusational tone, which was completely out of reality and was a plunder of the East Prussian people. The people of East Prussia expressed strong concerns, and some people even asked the government to reconsider its relations with Russia.

The fun is so great. The internal struggle between the Trotskyists and the Leninists has become an issue of international relations, which has caused concerns among the important Russian allies. The consequences are serious, which is quite serious. If the East Prussian People's Republic of China reversed, then both Poland will become more complicated and even the newly pacified Baltic Three Kingdoms will fall into turmoil again. Who can afford this responsibility? No matter how you look at it, Trotsky cannot afford it. (To be continued, please search for astronomy, novels are better, updated and faster!
