147 Old Nobel's Decision

When he broke up with a certain immortal, although Eriksen patted his chest and promised that the Germans would bleed hard, he was inevitably confused when he thought about this matter carefully.

After all, someone played a role in most of his 20 years of life, just a young man, who spent most of his time eating, drinking, having fun, eating, and waiting for death, and doing serious things is very little. This determines that he has extremely lacked experience in dealing with serious things.

So when he calmed down and thought about this issue, he felt unreliable and felt like walking on thin ice. This was definitely not a lie. With the complete collapse of the Nobel family's business in Russia, the entire family was on the verge of collapse and no shock could be afforded.

When encountering such a major problem, even Eriksen, who has always been used to being frivolous, had to be more careful. He urgently needed an experienced person to guide him. Fortunately, their old man is still alive. Although the old man is not very successful in his life, he is at least more experienced than him.

When Erikson walked into his old man's study, he was surprised to find that there were other guests in the study. In fact, they were not considered guests. They were his uncle Imanuel Nobel. This once prominent oil king now has no glory as before. He was twenty years old and sat in front of his brother Eric Nobel. The two did not look like brothers, but father and son.

Not only old, Erikson had never seen such a depressed and decadent Uncle Imanuel. He had a tomb smell like a dying person. He felt keen before and didn't notice Erikson coming in at all. He complained to his brother at his own heart.

"There's nothing to pass this life!" He paused his cane hatefully, "They actually rejected my loan application! Damn bastard. Half a year ago, they begged me to borrow more money and they were going to kneel down at me, but now, they actually turned against each other!"

As he said that, he picked up the black tea on the table and took a big mouthful: "There are those damn political brokers who used to be wagging their tails at us, but now, I call them to help them a little bit, and these bastards dare to push and stop them, especially Louis Song. This guy dared to let his secretary block me. If I hadn't been funding him all the time, would he be today?"

Emmanuel became more and more angry as he spoke. The cane in his hand repeatedly hit the floor, making harsh sounds.

"The most annoying thing is the damn Bolsheviks! These damn robbers are simply unreasonable. They confiscated my refinery and the oil field, but they even frozen my funds in Russia. What right do they have to do this!"

Erikson glanced at his old man and seemed to be asking: "Is it better for me to go out first?" Because recently, his relationship with Uncle Imanuel has not been very good.

Before the October Revolution, he warned the uncle to transfer his property quickly, but he didn't listen at all. As a result, the whole family was driven out of Russia by the workers' Red Guards, and 90% of their wealth was gone.

It should be said that Erikson did not make any mistakes in this matter. He had fulfilled his obligations as a relative. But Emmanuel did not think so at all. He felt that his nephew did indecently, which caused him to suffer huge losses. Especially when he heard about the relationship between Erikson and a certain immortal, he actually thought that Erikson was not helping him, not engaging in family affection, and was a great sinner of the Nobel family.

Anyway, the quarrel was very unpleasant at that time. Erikson felt that his uncle had pushed all the responsibility on his head, as if he was instigating the Bolsheviks to destroy the Nobel family. With the conscience of heaven and earth, Erikson could swear to God. He was definitely not such a villain. He was trying hard to find a way before or after the incident. But Uncle Imanuel turned a blind eye and insisted that he was a sinner.

In the end, even Erikson was annoyed. He didn't owe Emmanuel anything, and he was always kind-hearted and helping. Why did you take the blame? I have not notified you. You were the one who was indifferent at that time. Now he suffered a loss and even turned the blame. There is no such reason!

Therefore, Erikson didn't want to deal with Emmanuel at all. He just saw that the other party was an elder, and did not care about him, so he chose to retreat. However, his concession could not be exchanged for Emmanuel's understanding. For example, now, he suddenly realized that his elder brother was winking behind him. He subconsciously turned his head, and realized Erikson's existence at a glance, and immediately fired again:

"Isn't this my good nephew Erikson? Why, I saw that Uncle Imanuel was in trouble, and I didn't say hello now!"

Erikson was speechless, why didn't he say hello? The problem is that you are too tough, and I have never asked you for hello. At the very least, you will be sarcastic. Sometimes you will hit someone if you don't agree with me. I'm so full that I'm overwhelmed with my face and stick to your cold butt?

Now that I heard Emmanuel mocking again, Erikson couldn't stand it anymore, "I'll say hello to you? During this period, when did you care about me saying hello to you? When did you pretend you didn't hear it or just scolding me? I don't want to feel uncomfortable!"

Imanuel suddenly became furious, and pounded the floor with a cane, and shouted angrily: "Eric, look, look! This is your good son! He dared to talk to me like this! You think my oil company has been confiscated and my property has been lost, so I don't plan to recognize me as a poor relative, right?"

This made Erikson feel annoyed again. If their family really didn't plan to recognize Emmanuel's relative, they wouldn't have helped them directly after they returned to Sweden in shame. If it weren't for his old man who had been trying to find a way for Emmanuel, his little industry in Sweden would probably have disappeared. Now, he would have taken advantage and cursed. This is nothing!

Erikson couldn't bear it anymore and wanted to find Emmanuel in person to explain it, but just now he spoke when his old man spoke: "Erikson, what's your attitude? How did you talk to your uncle! Apologize immediately!"

Although Erikson was ten thousand reluctant, he still respected his old man, so he could only say unwillingly: "I'm sorry, Uncle Imanuel, I said the wrong thing just now. You don't remember the villain's mistakes. Don't be as knowledgeable as me!"

"Look, look," who thought that Emmanuel would not accept the apology at all, and said angrily: "What is this apology? It means respecting my uncle, okay, don't apologize. I just thought I heard two barkings!"

Erikson's nose was crooked. If it weren't for the old man's stopping him, he would have to go crazy. Even so, he didn't give Emmanuel any good face. He just found a seat to sit down and ignored this unreasonable uncle.

But Eriksen did not speak. It did not mean that Emanuel did not speak. He was even more unhappy than Eriksen. He could not stop talking as soon as he opened his mouth. "Erik, I must remind you that although you have a good relationship with the Bolsheviks for the time being, but who may be the one who will sit in Russia! Britain, France, the United States and other countries have already intervened. The situation in Russia will soon change. At that time, the things the Bolsheviks snatched from me would have to be spit out for me with interest! I will leave the words here and let your boys take care of themselves. I will not be polite if they are so big or small in the future!" After that, he turned around and left angrily.

"You're welcome, you're welcome, as if you've been polite!" Erikson cursed at the direction of Emanuel's departure, then turned around and asked, "Dad. What's he doing today? Why are he so angry?"

Eric Nobel sighed. To be honest, he was not satisfied with his attitude towards this cousin, but after all, he was a family, so he reluctantly endured it.

The old man sighed: "He was disappointed today. The bank refused to lend him a loan, and the few dogs I had raised before turned against him, so he came to complain about it!"

"Loan? What do you do with a loan?" Erikson asked inexplicably, "Didn't you just lend him a sum? Why did he ask for money again?"

To be honest, Eriksen also has an objection to lending money to Imanuel. Although their family has lost its oil industry in Russia, they still have some industry in Sweden. Although they are not as profitable as oil, it is no problem to maintain the family's food and clothing.

But the family did not seem to have looked back from the luxurious life in Russia, and thought they could maintain their previous lifestyle. How to say, they spent money a little bit, so there was a problem immediately in finance.

If it weren't for his old man who helped fill the hole, the family would have made a bigger fuss, but the family didn't read it well at all, and instead thought it was taken for granted, which would be quite annoying.

"If you borrow money again, you must not agree! The money we earned after working hard is not left to them for squandering!" Erikson said angrily.

"This time it's not a squander! It's a serious matter!" Eric Nobel sighed again, "And your uncle's family is not a pure squander. They just haven't recovered from the previous blow for the time being. No one can accept it. It's normal to have a low period, and it's better after this period!"

Erikson didn't believe in any silence in the low period. In his opinion, this family was purely self-deprecating and ready to die. He didn't have the patience to save those who were preparing to die.

He immediately sarcastically said, "Doing a serious business? What kind of serious business is there? If Uncle Imanuel really wants to do some serious business now, he should regroup and manage the remaining industries... And now, he is thinking all day long about how to take back everything he lost from Russia. Is that possible?"

Although Eric Nobel felt that his son was right, Imanuel's idea was a bit naive, and the change of the Russian regime was inevitable. Moreover, even if the Bolsheviks were driven out of power, the newly-entered regime might not necessarily return the property. When will the benefits of being swallowed up by the violent agency of the government be vomited out?

But his cousin was making a decision on this road. Now he was trying to get his property back at all costs. He had reached the level of a devil. Today he went to find a bank loan to fund a Russian party that he had never heard of, on the grounds that this party promised to return the property of the Nobel family after seizing power.

Isn't this a daydream? Only people like Imanuel who are anxious and red-eyed will believe the nonsense of this pheasant party. Even if you invest money in the Social Revolutionary Party and the Constitutional Democratic Party, it is better than this!

The old man sighed: "Luckily you came in just now. He was lobbying me to invest money together. It's not good to refuse or refuse!"

Erikson replied hatefully: "You are just too polite to them and too accommodating them!"

"No matter what, it's a family!" the old man continued to sigh, "As soon as a person is old, his heart is soft, and he only pays attention to this little thing at home." Speaking of this, the old man suddenly raised his head and asked, "Aren't you accompanying Mr. Andrei and Petrovic? Why did he suddenly come to my study?"

Erikson then remembered the serious matter and quickly told his old man the news he had just heard, "Do you think this matter is clear?"

The old man did not directly answer Eriksen's question, but carefully considered the twists and turns. After a long time, he said, "Silly boy. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It is not impossible for our Nobel family to recover and even go to a higher level. If you repeat his original words, I will carefully consider the gains and losses of interests!"

Seeing the old man so serious, Erikson didn't dare to be careless. He quickly learned someone's original words without saying a word, and even his tone was not bad.

"It's really unimaginable!" the old man sighed. "I didn't expect the Germans to attach so much importance to Mr. Andrei Petrovic, as if he was one of the key factors that could lead this peaceful negotiation. Can you tell me why?"

Eriksen knew why, compared to his father. He was always a rookie. "I'm weird too! Andre, let's talk about his status in the Bolsheviks, that's it, but without Lenin and Sverdlov, he wouldn't be anything. Why would the Germans think he has such abilities?"

"You are definitely wrong and missed something!" said the old man very seriously. "The reason why the Germans value him so much must be another reason. It is probably not related to his status in the Bolsheviks!"

"Not related?" Erikson scratched the back of his head, and he couldn't think of it. Apart from his status in the Bolsheviks, someone had anything worth mentioning. He thought about it for a long time before he hesitating: "Do you still remember Morrigan?"

"Who is Morrigan?" The old man was also puzzled.

"Morigan is the witch Henry invited back from Germany, the one who cured Bella!"

After this reminder, the old man also remembered: "What's the relationship between Morrigan and Andre Petrovic? By the way, didn't she cure Bella's disease?"

"This Morrigan later became Andrei's teacher, and it was not her who cured Bella's disease, but Andrei!"

"What?" the old man jumped up from the chair and asked in disbelief: "Is this true?"

Erikson replied weakly: "Of course it's true!"

The old man suddenly became angry: "You idiot, why didn't you tell me earlier that Mr. Andre has the ability in this area? Do you know how important this is!"

Erikson wanted to ask back: "How important can it be?" But seeing that he was very serious and serious, he could only swallow this sentence.

"You almost missed a great opportunity!" the old man scolded with heartache, "If Mr. Andre had the ability in that aspect, it would be normal for the Germans to pay attention to him, it would be wrong! Mr. Andre's ability in that aspect might be extraordinary, otherwise the Germans would not be so nervous!"

Erikson looked at his old man in surprise and said something he didn't understand at all, and he didn't understand what the Germans' ability to value that aspect was. Because he knew it would be useless to ask, because the old man's mind was not at his side now.

"I've decided!" Just as Erikson's mind was full of questions, the old man waved his hand and said firmly: "From now on, we will work with Mr. Andre with all our might, and we will support all his plans!"

Erikson asked in a daze: "Are you crazy? Didn't you tell me two days ago that political investment can't put all the eggs in one basket?"

"One moment, another moment!" The old man said with great emotion, then looked at his son again, and said incredible: "I really don't know if you are too lucky, a fool is lucky, or have other talents I don't know, who can actually take on such a good thing?"

Erikson still didn't understand what was good, and he didn't understand why his old man suddenly changed his attitude. However, since the old man said that it was a good thing to cooperate with someone, he had no reason not to listen to the old man's instructions.

"You must remember that you must do the instructions of Mr. Andrei in a clean and beautiful way. Since he acquiesced to you to slaughter the Germans hard, you must not be polite to the Germans! Also, aren't you having a headache about food? Don't go to Henry, I'll help you with this!"

When Erikson came out of his old man's study, he was dizzy. He seemed to have met his father since this day. It turned out that the old man was just a layer of disguise in his harmonious and unyielding appearance. He really seemed much smarter than the Uncle Imanuel, who had once made the most achievements in the family...
