038 The Last Minute

Rudnev placed all his hopes on Liang Bozev. If the Kremlin cannot be seized as planned and the Bolsheviks cannot be severely attacked, then when Karekin's troops arrive, his position as mayor of the Social Revolutionary Party will become very embarrassing.

The Mensheviks and the Cadets will unanimously condemn him for his poor actions and fail to shoulder the responsibility of defending the great capital; and the guys in the party who do not deal with him will also take the opportunity to jump out and criticize him.

Of course, all of this has only one purpose, which is to make him roll off the mayor's throne obediently. In Moscow, there are many people who are jealous of the mayor's throne, whether it is an enemy outside the party or a comrade within the party.

The only thing he can rely on now is Liang Bozef. If this colonel can fight a clean and beautiful turnaround, then all the accusations will disappear. He will still be the mayor of Moscow and the hero who suppressed the rebellion. Even if Karekin's troops arrive, he can compete with the other party and maintain the dominant position of the Social Revolutionary Party in Moscow.

However, this is quite difficult. In the city of Moscow, there are only more than 40,000 troops led by the National Rescue Revolutionary Committee. At first glance, you will feel that there are quite a lot of people. However, this little man is really a drop in the bucket for a big city with a population of 1.5 million, especially when most of the population in this city is seeking to overthrow the government leadership.

At the beginning, Rudnev gave Liang Bozev three thousand people. According to the original estimate, these three thousand people should easily take down the Kremlin and the Post and Telecommunications Administration. They did not suffer astonishing losses as they are now, and almost lost two-thirds of their troops.

Rudnev never expected this bad situation. In his original plan, these three thousand men would act as pawns to suppress the revolution. They would sweep across Moscow and beat the Bolsheviks to the point of urination. They would become his most powerful force to suppress the rebellion!

Now, all this has become a silence. Moreover, Liang Bozev needs more troops to complete the mission. Although Rudnev doesn't know how much it is, according to his estimate, at least another 3,000 people have to be given.

The problem is that he did not have so many troops at hand. After more than 40,000 people were scattered into the central city of Moscow, he had to control the major traffic roads, guard the bridges, and fight against the Bolsheviks. It was really a bit stretched.

Rudnev didn't know where to squeeze out the extra manpower, because all the commanders on the front line were asking him for people and complaining to him about the lack of weapons and ammunition.

"Another group of women's suicide squads were mobilized, and then the troops stationed in the city hall were transferred to Liang Bozefu, and then personnel were drawn from the street patrol. You must gather up three thousand people!"

"But, Your Excellency Mayor," Rudnev's secretary reminded carefully, "the city hall is being attacked by the Bolsheviks, and it seems impossible to draw personnel from there!"

"Don't control the city hall for now!" Rudnev said impatiently, "There is only symbolic meaning there, and it's not a pity to throw it away... Now, the most important thing is to capture the Kremlin!"

The secretary said again: "Your Excellency, but even if we can give up the town hall, even if we organize enough women's suicide squads, we still lack weapons! We can't let them go to the battlefield without a hand!"

Rudnev rubbed his temples, and he felt extremely regretful. From the beginning, he asked Liang Bozev to recover the Kremlin and the armory so that they could continue to strengthen their army. This was the hesitant idiot who couldn't listen to the true opinions at all and missed a great opportunity. It directly led to the passiveness at the moment. As soon as he thought of this, he wanted to tear Liang Bozev away.

But he couldn't do this now, and he had to wipe the ass of this idiot. Rudnev was so angry that he was about to explode. He pounded the table hard and said angrily: "Let that idiot solve the problem of weapons by himself! More than two thousand people died there. I guess there must be no shortage of weapons!"

The secretary was startled and realized how bad his boss was. He immediately closed his mouth tactfully. Anyway, he didn't need to let him go to the battlefield with bare hands. Why do you care about so much? The idiot colonel will solve this problem by himself.

Can Liang Bozefu solve this difficult problem? Of course, the answer is no. Although he ruined more than 2,000 lives, according to common sense, many weapons should have been "empty". But the problem is that these weapons are left on the battlefield. Except for a small number of weapons that are closer to him, most of them are lying quietly on the Red Square.

Liang Bozefu had no idea of recycling weapons, but as soon as his people showed up, they would be warmly entertained by the Bolsheviks on the opposite city wall. Basically, they were all meat buns to beat dogs without going back. After trying a few times, Liang Bozefu had to give up this plan because he really had no more subordinates to sacrifice.

So although he was very dissatisfied with Rudnev's arrangement, he could not say much. He could only cheer the three thousand "soldiers" with bare hands: "Gentlemen, after three consecutive attacks, our enemies have suffered heavy damage! As long as you charge forward and as long as you can climb the walls of the Kremlin, they - the despicable Bolshevik rebellion, will collapse in an instant and collapse immediately! The final victory will surely belong to us, and as the protagonists who created this brilliant victory, you will be remembered by history forever!"

Liang Bozefu's staff members didn't like their commander's jokes. What more than two thousand soldiers with live ammunition could not do, so that three thousand women who were almost bare-handed, gangsters and kids could do it?

Yes, the staff members had no confidence in the reinforcements sent by the mayor. Except for a small number of soldiers, most of them were non-commissioned officers in the Moscow Military Academy. These half-aged kids had no fighting experience except for their passion and had zero combat experience. It is very likely that the cannon would make them wet their pants collectively as soon as they fired.

As for the women's suicide squads and civil volunteers, to put it bluntly, it is a group of mobs, worse than the non-commissioned officers in front of them. At least the non-commissioned officers still have the passion for fighting, and they have nothing. The reason why they gather together is entirely because the mayor paid them a considerable salary. How much combat power is like this 50 cents party, you can think of it with your butt.

"Sir, where are our weapons?"

When Liang Bozefu's deception came to an end, someone finally asked this key question. To be honest, the staff members also wanted to know how their colonel would answer this question.

Liang Bozefu's face looked very bad. Obviously, the reason why he said so many bewitching words just now was nothing more than trying to distract the reinforcements and make them forget the damn weapon issue. Now his attempt has failed.

After a moment of silence, when Liang Bozefu found that it was completely impossible to pretend to be deaf and dumb, he turned his body stiffly and pointed to the Red Square where corpses were everywhere. "Your weapons are on the Red Square! You will take the steel gun from the unfortunate seniors and avenge them with the weapons they left behind!"

A commotion broke out among the reinforcements immediately. Many people started to back off the sensational news as soon as they heard the explosive news. Even if Liang Bozefu said it sensational, they were not fools. No one could keep calm in such a bad situation. Especially those 50 cents, no, those women's suicide squads and civil volunteers, they immediately had the intention to turn around and escape.

"Silent!" The blue veins on Liang Bozefu's forehead stormed. He pulled out his pistol and fired three shots into the sky to stabilize the situation. "Now, I declare battlefield discipline to you! Only move forward, no retreat! Anyone who attempts to escape will be shot on the spot!"

Under the guard of the military police's bayonets and machine guns, reinforcements were taken to the battlefield. As long as the signal flare of the general attack rose into the sky, they would step into hell like naked lambs.

"The enemy is ready to attack again!"

Rokosovsky looked at the whole team of enemies worriedly. The dense number made his scalp tingle. He originally thought that the first three attacks had hurt the enemy and caused them enough casualties. They could not launch a new offensive for a while. However, the enemies were more and more stubborn than he thought. They didn't care about sacrifice at all, and seemed to be preparing to irrigate a road to victory with blood.

His troops also suffered certain losses in the battle just now, mainly due to the killing caused by the enemy artillery, and then urgently needed to replenish ammunition. Although a large number of automatic weapons can cause great damage to the enemy, they are also monsters that devour ammunition. After less than an hour of fighting, they have consumed two bases of ammunition.

Of course, the armory has enough ammunition, not to mention the two base ammunition, it doesn't matter if it doubles. The main problem Rokosovsky has to face is that it takes time to transport ammunition to the city wall from the armory, and even more manpower. Now, it is obvious that he lacks both.

"The enemy is about to launch an attack, draw troops and speed up the transportation of ammunition!"

As soon as the words were finished, the opponent's white soldiers suddenly let out a tsunami-like "Wula", and then they were like floods breaking through the embankment, raising high waves and rushing over like mountains and seas.

"Damn it!" Rokosovsky shouted, "Everyone is there, prepare for battle, listen to my orders, aim carefully! Try to save ammunition!"

Rokosovsky can only pray now that the comrades who transport ammunition can be more powerful, otherwise it is very likely that they will have to fight hand-to-hand with groups of enemies. He doesn't like hand-to-hand combat at all! Because it means huge casualties, and such casualties are something he and Li Xiaofeng would never want to see.

The White Army rushed towards Rokosovsky's position like a tide, and there were countless people. The only thing that made Rokosovsky feel glad: not only were these people messy and without any organization or formation, but most of them were not weapons.

However, even a large group of bare hands, it is still very dangerous when they rush to you and surround you. What's more, they are not completely without weapons. The small number of people with weapons are constantly firing with pistols, rifles and even hunting rifles.

As they gradually approached, Rokosovsky finally issued an order and his subordinates began to fire violently.

It was not until this time that the difference between rigorously trained professional soldiers and armed civilians who lacked training was truly reflected. Despite the absolute advantage in numbers, the White Army only created insignificant casualties for Rokosovsky's troops, and more because of luck than their marksmanship.

However, the young men under Rokosovsky knocked down dozens of White Army soldiers in the first round of shooting. Their shooting speed was also very fast. Before the White Army ran halfway, each fired at least three shots - machine guns, semi-automatic rifles and submachine guns, never stopped, and always fired at the frequency of two shots and one set of points.

The White Army kept falling down. The rest of the people were also staggering forward. The corpses, bullet craters and the chaos that occurred when picking up guns greatly delayed their impact. Sometimes, they even dragged their own back.

However, these did not greatly improve Rokosovsky's situation. No matter how slow or chaotic the enemy moves, it would not change a reality. His troops' ammunition is about to be exhausted! Automatic weapons without bullets cannot stop even unarmed enemies.

"Fuck!" Rokosovsky reluctantly issued the order.

Rokosovsky casually fucked an SKS and stabbed the three-edged gun folded under the barrel straight, staring at the White Army that was constantly approaching under the city wall. As long as the other party was ready to come up, he would sniff the other party into his heart as soon as possible!

On the other side of the battlefield, Liang Bozefu secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Although he didn't know why the enemy did not use his firepower advantage this time, allowing his troops to approach the city wall relatively smoothly. Compared with the huge casualties in the previous three attacks, this assault casualties were pitifully small, and only one-quarter of the soldiers were sacrificed.

Rokosovsky was extremely satisfied with this good news. In his opinion, this was a sign that the enemy was about to collapse. "Gentlemen, we are about to win!" He repeated his catchphrase again.

This time, no more staff members felt that their commander was confused. The soldiers rushing under the city wall were almost three times the enemy. As long as there was no accident, they were indeed likely to win.

As a highly qualified genius commander, Rokosovsky has realized that danger or crisis is coming, and there are too many enemies. As they continue to rush up, it is very likely that they will not be able to defend the city wall. As long as the city wall falls, it means that the entire Kremlin's defense system will be completely collapsed. At that time, they will be defeated by the enemy like driving a sheep!

Rokosovsky didn't like this ending, so he had to defend the city wall. As long as he defeated the enemy again, they would probably never have the energy to harass the Kremlin!

"Comrades, you must hold on! Behind us is the Kremlin. We have no choice but to retreat!"

When the first enemy showed his head from the city wall, Rokosovsky raised his rifle without hesitation and stabbed the gun into his eyes... A violent scream, a splash of blood, when he pulled the gun back, the poor worm had already fallen down the city wall and was submerged in a dense crowd of people in an instant.

Rokosovsky had no time to breathe a sigh of relief, and the second enemy had followed. After killing him, there was a third, fourth, and even fifth, and sixth enemy.

Rokosovsky mechanically made assassination moves, and he had no time to think about anything else, and he didn't even have time to distract himself and look around. He was like a sophisticated machine, strict, meticulous, and calmly doing killing moves.

There were constant deaths on the battlefield, and new people were on the way. Although their troops had not yet attacked the city, Liang Bozev felt that it was only a matter of time. As the number of Bolshevik rebels became smaller and smaller, as their physical strength gradually decreased, and as their courage slipped away from their chests, they would sooner or later collapse! Liang Bozev was full of confidence in this, and even believed that the Bolsheviks would collapse in the next minute.

"Tell the offensive troops that after capturing the city wall, don't stop at any department and advance into the depths of the Kremlin immediately!" Liang Bozefu made a battle arrangement proudly, "Also, don't have any sympathy for the enemy. Whether they resist to the end or surrender, they will be killed!"

Speaking of this, he whistled easily, and the playful melody of the saber dance seemed to show that the colonel was in a very good mood.

A messenger hurried over: "Col. Mayor sent someone to ask you when the Kremlin will be recaptured!"

"When?" Liang Bozef snorted contemptuously, "Tell him that immediately, immediately, the Kremlin will return to us. If he wants, he can come here in person to watch the moment when the Kremlin is revived!"

In a sense, Liang Bozef is right at all. If there were no accidents, it was really only a matter of time before the fall of the Kremlin. But our protagonist Li Xiaofeng is best at creating all kinds of accidents.

When the White Army under the city wall set up a ladder and continued to rush towards the city wall, when the Rokosovskys on the city wall became more and more tired and their morale became lower and lower, Li Xiaofeng appeared in front of them like a god descending to earth, and then in the next second, Liang Bozef, who had already declared victory in advance, suffered a blow!

"No need to aim, there are people below, just launch them!" Li Xiaofeng ordered several TK soldiers with flamethrowers around him.

Soon, several violent flames blew towards the White Army under the city wall. The group of poor people crowded together were immediately lit, followed by several violent flames, and then more white troops were hung with flames.

A few seconds later, there was a sea of fire under the city wall. The smell of gasoline and human flesh were intertwined with all kinds of tragic howlings, turning the wall of the Kremlin into a hell of flames...
