018 New Mission

The phone rings in the Smolny Palace kept ringing, and from time to time you could see the communicators running in and out of time conveying various information and commands. Through the busy figures, Li Xiaofeng walked to the door of Lenin's office. However, before he could knock on the door, Krupskaya emerged.

"Andre, you are here just in time. Comrade Lenin is asking me to urge you, hurry up and go in!" Krupskaya said that, and he didn't bother to say goodbye to Li Xiaofeng, so he ran away in a hurry.

"Comrade Lenin!" Li Xiaofeng called out to Lenin, who was buried in the desk.

"Andre, you're here just in time," Lenin glanced at the wall clock. "I'm going to have a meeting in a few minutes. Now there's an important task that you need to complete!"

"Please give orders!" Li Xiaofeng said straightforwardly without saying anything. However, he guessed that his mission should have something to do with Likov's counter-rebellion cabinet. Could it be that the mentor asked him to go to the Imperial Village and Gatchina to deal with him?

"Very good!" Lenin nodded with satisfaction, and then said slowly: "Our enemy is unwilling to fail and is preparing to launch a large-scale counterattack. Do you know about Likov?"

"I understand!" Li Xiaofeng was about to say that he promised to eliminate it, but Lenin said to himself: "So, the revolution is far from being able to talk about victory! We have a long way to go and there is still a lot to do,"

Speaking of this, Lenin showed a solemn expression, "Although Moscow has decided to respond to the uprising, we can know from Nogen's attitude yesterday that the situation there is quite complicated. In order to clarify the situation in Moscow, and to better communicate with Moscow, the Soviet representatives of the Party and the Engineers decided to appoint a reliable comrade as the special commissioner. I think you are very suitable!"

Li Xiaofeng was shocked. He didn't expect that the mentor asked him to come and did not ask him to go to war, but he was going to run errands after a long time. To be honest, this guy was a little disappointed.

"Why, are you unwilling to accept this task?" How could the disappointment on someone's face escape the eyes of the tutor?

Li Xiaofeng quickly explained: "I thought you asked me to come and asked me to lead troops to deal with Likov and his bullshit cabinet. I really didn't expect you to let me go to the Moscow Party's imperial envoy."

Li Xiaofeng's "wronged" look, coupled with the words "Imperial Envoy" immediately made Lenin laugh. The mentor shook his head and said, "You guy is just talking too much. But the Imperial Envoy is appropriate. How about it? Do you have the confidence to be a good imperial envoy?"

At this point, Li Xiaofeng can only take on this job: "Please ensure that the task is completed!"

"That's good!" Lenin seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and introduced patiently: "You have three tasks. First, you must figure out the real situation in Moscow and find out whether they have begun an uprising; secondly, establish a liaison office and set up a radio station to ensure that the connectivity between Petrograd and Moscow is smooth..."

Before Lenin finished speaking, Krupskaya, who had just left in a hurry, came back. She said hurriedly: "Comrade Lenin, the conference is about to start again. Please go to the venue immediately!"

"Tsk!" Lenin interrupted the conversation helplessly and sighed: "Andre. Your task is very important. For specific situations, follow Comrade Yakov's arrangements, set off as soon as possible, and arrive in Moscow as soon as possible. I have no time to say anything extra. I wish you a successful completion of the task!"

Lenin left in a hurry. He was not pretentious, he was really busy. On this afternoon, the Soviets, the All-Russian engineer representative, would create a new regime - the Provisional Government of Workers and Peasants. Lenin was going to discuss and resolve some trivial but unavoidable matters. For example, the specific candidates for the heads of various departments of the new government, in fashionable terms, would be to form a cabinet.

In order to distinguish it from the bourgeois regime, the cabinet of the Workers and Peasants Provisional Government specially adopted the title of people-friendly - the People's Committee. All the ministers of each department were renamed as People's Committee. As for Lenin, he was the chairman of the People's Committee.

Among them, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oh, it should be the People's Commissar Trotsky, the People's Commissar for National Affairs is Stalin, the People's Commissar for Internal Affairs (historically Likov), and Sverdlov did not serve in the People's Committee because he served as the Chairman of the Soviet Presidium of the Engineer Representative Soviet.

In short, all the people's committee members of the Workers' and Peasants' Provisional Government were all Bolsheviks. Of course, this was not unexpectedly attacked by the Mensheviks and the right-wingers of the Social Revolutionary Party. In the name of the Central Executive Committee of the Iron and Stewardship General, they declared that they did not recognize the legitimacy of the Workers' and Peasants' Provisional Government, nor even the legitimacy of the Soviet representatives of the Engineers' Provisional Government.

However, all this has nothing to do with Li Xiaofeng for the time being. In Sverdlov's office, he was receiving the teachings of Comrade Xiaosi.

"Andre, your task is very important," Sverdlov said bluntly, "The success or failure of the Moscow uprising is directly related to the overall situation of the revolution. Originally, the presidium of the Soviet Representatives of the Engineers was preparing to hand over this task to Nogen. After all, he was the leader of the Moscow side and the chairman of the Workers Representatives of the Soviet Representatives of the Workers, so it is legitimate to give it to him!"

Speaking of this, Sverdlov deliberately paused, "But I disagree with this point of view. I already knew that a stubborn and hard-working stubborn man like him would never do the bridge work truthfully. In order to prevent him from destroying the revolution, Comrade Lenin and I both believed that a truly reliable comrade must be sent to Moscow."

Li Xiaofeng showed a thoughtful expression. He always wondered why the tutor suddenly sent him such a task. The relationship was famous.

"Who nominated Nogen to go? Kamenev and Zinoviev?"

Sverdlov smiled contemptuously, "Although they didn't come forward directly, it was almost the same. It was Teodorovitch's idea. Last time, I didn't see that this guy and Jia, Ji were in the same group, so he made him get a bargain for nothing!"

"What cheap did you pick?" Li Xiaofeng asked curiously.

"He was elected to be the People's Committee on Food of the People's Committee!" Sverdlov replied angrily.

Oh, so that's it. Li Xiaofeng knew a little bit that Sverdlov was disappointed that he was not able to occupy a position in the People's Committee. Especially his direct competitor Stalin had a four-dimensional People's Committee on National Affairs.

Although this position is indeed unrestrained, power is just that. But Sverdlov probably felt that it was intentional arrangement by the mentor, otherwise he could have arranged a People's Committee member of religious affairs according to his copy.

This is not nonsense, nor is it a joke. The former Provisional Government really had such a position, called the Prosecutor of the Orthodox Holy Parliament, which was previously held by Vladimir Leewolf, the "home" of Duke Lewoff.

Of course, the Bolsheviks were atheists, and it was normal for them to be disguised as Orthodox Church to revoke this post. But the same thing is true. If the mentor is willing, he could arrange Sverdlov to be a people's committee member at will. But he didn't do that. Then it is obvious that he was balancing the relationship between Sverdlov and Stalin. After all, Xiao Si was already the chairman of the Soviet presidium of the Engineer Representative Soviet.

Li Xiaofeng also knew that Xiao Si was actually complaining to him, which was a secret word between his own people. If he wanted to say that he was really jealous of Stalin's position, that would be really stupid.

"It's just a grain minister. It's a chore. If you don't do it properly, it's a mess and nothing to envy."

Li Xiaofeng was not comforting Xiao Si, but really thought so. One of the internal factors that triggered the Russian revolution was the problem of food. Everyone jumped out of the revolution because they were not full. This People's Committee member of the Food was really not a bad person. And as soon as he thought about the small amount of food left in the strategic reserve warehouse, Li Xiaofeng laughed secretly. This alone was enough for Teodorovitch to drink a pot.

"Comrade Andre, do you have any inside information?" Sverdlov obviously noticed someone was giggling secretly, and he asked quickly, "Don't hide it. Tell me quickly!"

Li Xiaofeng looked at the door mysteriously and confirmed that no one eavesdropped. He then laughed and said, "I heard from a few friends that the grain loopholes in the strategic reserve warehouse are very big!"

Sverdloft was stunned and said nervously: "How old is it?"

"Shocking!" Li Xiaofeng said mysteriously, "It is said that all the food was stolen and sold by our former prime minister and the former cabinet men!"

"Is this news true?" Sverdlov stood up solemnly and asked nervously.

"It's probably true!" Li Xiaofeng replied casually.

Sverdlov's face was unstable, and he didn't seem to think that this was good news at all. Even Li Xiaofeng was a little puzzled. It was not you who was worried. Why are you so nervous?

"Of course I have to be nervous. This news is so important!" Sverdlov's tone showed anxiety. "If there is such a big problem in the strategic reserve warehouse, there will inevitably be big problems in the food supply in the surrounding areas of Petrograd. This will not benefit the revolution and the new People's Committee at all!"

Only then did Li Xiaofeng realize that the Bolsheviks are no longer an opposition party. When they are in opposition, they can naturally watch the jokes of Liwolf and Kerensky, and they are so worried that they will be overwhelmed. And now the Bolsheviks are going to accept this mess. If there is a problem with the food supply, it will shake the mass base.

So if Teodorovitch falls in the fight on the issue of food, then the Bolsheviks will definitely fall in the fight. Everyone is a grasshopper on a rope, and no one can escape.

"What should I do?" Li Xiaofeng smiled bitterly, "Or why do you mention this matter to Comrade Lenin in a vague way!"

"It's nothing to mention. The question is how to fill those holes?" Sverdlov walked around anxiously, his mood was very unstable. "The most critical issue now is how to get food! Without food, that's the real big problem!"

Li Xiaofeng started to think about it. To be honest, he felt that Sverdlov was too proud of the role of the grain stored in the strategic reserve warehouse. After the civil war broke out, even if the grain in the strategic reserve warehouse was there, it would not be very useful. The national famine could not be solved by a drop in the bucket.

"I think this problem is not as serious as you think!" Li Xiaofeng advised, "It's not us who steal the food, we can't bear the blame. On the contrary, if we take the initiative to expose the problem, it will only make Kerensky and Liwoff more passive!"

Sverdlov nodded, "Well, you make sense, but this seems too cheap Teodorovitch. The cover he lifted will only make his reputation rise..."

"Tsk!" Li Xiaofeng sneered. "Nothing is that cheap. Don't pay attention to him and let him do this grain people's committee member first. Even if he knows that there is something wrong with the strategic reserve warehouse, he will not dare to penetrate his urination casually!"

Sverdlov was stunned at first, then nodded. Li Xiaofeng said it well. Under the current situation, Teodorovitch would not dare to say it even though he knew there was something wrong with the strategic reserve warehouse.

Why? The reason is obvious. This guy and Jia, Ji, are all sympathetic to the Provisional Government. If the food shady is exposed at this time, the former Provisional Government will definitely be the former Provisional Government.

How could the former provisional government, which lost all its hearts at that time, turn the tables? At that time, it was not a bleak future for them? They would not do such a "stupid thing", at least they would not do it now.

Sverdlov worriedly: "But, if you are not afraid of ten thousand, just be afraid of something. If Teodorovitch..."

Li Xiaofeng smiled contemptuously, "That's what he has a conscience, but we have no loss anyway. At that time, Li Wolf would have seen it... But I guess he doesn't have the courage. If he really can do his best, he wouldn't have been with Jia and Ji!"

Sverdlov smiled and said, "You are right. Teodorovitch doesn't have the courage!"

Li Xiaofeng also smiled. He understood what Xiao Si meant very well. If Teodorovitch didn't have the courage to hide it and did not report it, then they would probably break the sky and make him unable to get out of Taiwan. But there is no need to say this clearly. There is no need to say it now, ride a donkey and read the songbook. Let's take a look.

"Okay, let's not talk about this issue," Sverdlov quickly put the topic back. "You must be careful when you go to Moscow. The situation there is not ordinary complicated, and Comrade Lenin and I don't care about it. We must keep calm and never act irritated!"

Although Li Xiaofeng understood Sverdlov's kindness, he still felt that Comrade Xiaos was a little worried. Although the situation in Moscow was complicated, the Bolsheviks were the ones that had the upper hand there. What should I be afraid of?

"If it's all enemies, I'm not worried!" Sverdlov sighed, "Andre, don't have any luck. The situation in Moscow is very complicated... Why do you think Nogen has such courage?"

"Why?" Li Xiaofeng blurted out.

Sverdlov snorted, "Because there is their old nest, if there were more than one or two people like Nogen, and even the group of people who supported Comrade Lenin's armed struggle would not be particularly determined. Otherwise, would they wait until the Petrograd uprising was basically successful before they could send a telegram to respond?"

Li Xiaofeng was stunned: "You mean..."

"That's right, the guys in Moscow are all waiting and watching!" Sverdlov said gritting his teeth, "These guys are not reliable at all. I even dare to promise you that they said they responded to the uprising yesterday, but in fact they would not make any moves at all!"

Li Xiaofeng felt more and more wrong. If Moscow was in such a state, then his trip would probably be full of difficulties.

"It's good that you are prepared!" Sverdlov said earnestly, "Your task is to clarify the central government's determination to the comrades in Moscow. You must urge them to carry out armed struggles and actively communicate and coordinate. You must prevent the rise of compromise and surrenderist thoughts there!"

Li Xiaofeng said with a bitter face: "This seems to be very difficult!"

"Of course it's difficult, and you don't have to send you there if it's not difficult. To be honest, Comrade Lenin and I are optimistic about your ability. You will definitely be able to turn Moscow upside down!"

Hearing this, Li Xiaofeng looked at Sverdlov in surprise. He understood what the other party meant, but he still needed to confirm: "Comrade Lenin asked me to be a messenger?"

"You are too vulgar!" Sverdlov punched him and whispered: "But it is appropriate. Comrade Lenin appreciates your ability to cause trouble. Letting you go to Moscow is to disrupt the good things of the compromise and surrender factions in the party! You must not let them go!"

Li Xiaofeng's Adam's apple moved and asked, "How long will I mess with it?"

Sverdlov pondered for a moment and said bluntly: "We must stick to the stability of Petrograd!"

Li Xiaofeng nodded slowly. He understood the plan of the mentor. Now the mentor cannot take care of Moscow's affairs, but he cannot allow a Nogen-like guy to destroy the overall situation of Moscow's revolution. There is no way, so he can only send someone to make trouble with them so that the situation in Moscow will not be so bad that it is irreversible.

Thinking of this, Li Xiaofeng felt a little relaxed. In terms of the ability to engage in destruction, in addition to the iron comrades who will carry out great purges in the future, he is now going to carry out destruction under the orders. With the mentor behind the scenes, he is even more afraid of heaven and earth.

"I'll set off immediately!" When Li Xiaofeng thought about how to make the Moscow guys defeated, he couldn't help it and was ready to go on the road. Comrade Xiaos was careful and immediately stopped him: "Don't be busy leaving first! You'll arrange your affairs about Petrograd before leaving, otherwise, if something happens, Stalin will report it again!"

Li Xiaofeng slapped his forehead. He really forgot about the non-commissioned officers. If they were asked to launch a sudden rebellion as in history, Stalin would definitely bite him to death.

"Comrade Yakov, you must pay special attention to the movements of the non-commissioned officers. According to my investigation, they are planning to launch a rebellion to respond to Lewf's counter-rebellion cabinet!" (To be continued.
