372 Dangerous and Dangerous

Voroshilov never thought about retreating, and he didn't like Trotsky's combat plan. He planned to stop the enemy in his own way - to fight a vigorous blocking battle in Luga City, and to hold the enemy firmly to death in Luga, and never allow them to move forward.

He specially formulated a combat plan - the tributary of the Luga River divides Luga into two parts: east and west, and there are four bridges connecting the east and west urban areas. When moving towards the Great Novgorod, you must master these bridges. According to Trotsky's plan, after gradually abandoning Luga, you must destroy all the bridges, causing as much trouble to the enemy as possible.

But Voroshilov did not intend to do so, because it would be the best way for him to disobey Trotsky's orders openly, and he could claim that the reason he did not retreat was to try to destroy these "highly dangerous" bridges.

For this reason, this bastard deliberately gave up the largest highway bridge in the south from the beginning, in order to stay in Luga without leaving. Now the course of the battle has indeed developed according to his script, and he can openly disobey the orders of his superiors.

"According to the combat plan, we must destroy all the bridges! But the road bridge in the south was taken away by the enemy, and I must destroy it before I can retreat!" Voroshilov yelled at Fu Longzhi on the phone with confidence, and then pretended to be instructed: "Please tell Comrade Trotsky that if I organize another assault, I will definitely destroy the bridge!"

Then Voroshilov hung up the phone without saying a word and turned his attention back to the battle in the city. His assistant asked weakly: "Comrade Kremute, we may not be able to mobilize troops to destroy the bridge!"

Voroshilov said indifferently: "I know!"

The assistant said in surprise: "Then you promised Comrade Fu Longzhi again..."

Voroshilov said impatiently: "Don't worry about them, those cowards completely forgot the honor of the Bolsheviks and had no idea how to fight! Our mission is to fight the enemy to the end in Luga!"

The assistant asked again, "But that bridge?"

Voroshilov said indifferently: "Don't worry about the unlucky bridges, they don't matter at all. As long as Luga is under our control, the enemy will not be able to turn to Great Novgorod! Now, please stop talking nonsense, let us turn our energy back to the battle in the city!"

While Voroshilov was dreaming of a hero, the company where Koremiaka was also stumbled back to Luga, but they could not enter the city at all. The entire east and south sides of Luga were surrounded, with enemies everywhere, and fierce battles broke out everywhere.

"Company Commander, we're late!" Koremiaka said in annoyance.

The company commander rubbed his face hard. He was also helpless about the situation in front of him. If he wanted to report the news, he had to cross the river, and if he wanted to cross the river, he had to cross the enemy's defense line. Now, this is simply impossible.

"Company Commander, you're talking!" another soldier urged, "If it doesn't work, let's fight with them!"

The company commander raised his hand and gave the reckless ghost a thunderous snatch, cursing: "Follower, our most important task is to convey the information to our superiors. What's the use of fighting against the enemy?"

The little soldier touched his forehead aggrievedly and said, "But this is impossible!"

The company commander also knew that this was impossible, but he had to do it again, otherwise when the enemy who came from the Great Novgorod arrived, it would have a fatal impact on the battle situation.

What to do? What to do! Just as he forced himself to come up with a solution, Koremiaka suddenly spoke: "Company Commander, can we pretend to be the group of enemies from Great Novgorod, and we may be able to get away with it!"

"Is this possible?" The company commander was a little worried. After all, it was quite risky to do so. If you were not careful, you might be able to do everything.

Koremiaka said confidently: "As long as we take off the red scarf and then slap the enemy's banner, it should be feasible!"

The company commander thought about it and thought he could give it a try. Anyway, the Red Army and the White Army were wearing the same uniforms and speaking the same language. It was really easy to impersonate each other. What's more, they had a lot of useful information from the mouths of those unlucky prisoners, including the number of troops and the names of their superiors.

"That's it!" The company commander slapped and ordered: "Tell all comrades that we are now going to pretend to be the enemy and cross the defense line. Everyone should change their names and don't show off their abilities!"

After a simple disguise, it was actually taking off the red scarf from the neck. The second company swaggered towards Luga and encountered several white troops along the way, but none of them were interested in their actions, and they did not expect that they were enemies.

"My goodness, this is too simple!" The soldiers of the Second Company muttered incredibly.

But their whispers were only exchanged for the company commander's glare, "Shut up, you are crazy, let the enemy discover it, we are all done!"

A soldier pointed to the White Army who was walking not far away indifferently: "How is it possible? They don't care at all. Look, they are still saying hello to us!"

The company commander turned his head and looked at it. Sure enough, an officer at the intersection in front was waving to them, as if he was signaling him to go over.

"Hello, Major, is there anything you can do to help you?" the company commander greeted in a respectful tone.

The major asked carelessly: "Whose troops are you? Why did you run to my defense zone?"

"Major, we are the 1st Company of the Third Battalion, the Fourth Regiment of the Thirty-Fifteenth Division, and the regiment commander ordered us to go to Petrograd as the vanguard."

The major frowned and asked, "Shouldn't the 35th Division be in Great Novgorod? Why did you come to Luka?"

The second company commander continued to smile and said, "The Great Novgorod's mud legs are making a lot of noise, and the brothers cannot move forward at all. The division commander rushed to Petrograd to support the commander-in-chief, so he could only change the way..."

The major nodded silently, "So that's it, but you are planning to go north so directly? Haven't you seen us fighting fiercely with the mob?"

The second company commander pretended to be stupid and said, "The order I received was to go to Luga Railway Station, occupy it, and provide support to the follow-up troops..."

The major chuckled, "The railway station is still in the hands of the mob. If you want to go there, you have to fight with us!"

Of course, the second company commander had no objection to this and saluted respectfully, "Then, please give orders!"

The major seemed very satisfied with the second company commander's obedience. To be honest, he fought fiercely for several hours. His troops were already quite tired, and now he could have a team of fools coming to share his pressure.

The major pointed to the end of the street: "Did you see that bridge? My vanguard is fighting fiercely against the mobs across the river. Your mission is to support them and eliminate the mobs as soon as possible. Start the action. Captain!"

The second company commander saluted respectfully again, and then quickly returned to his team. He was scared just now, afraid that the major would see the flaws. Fortunately, the other party was very stupid and naive, and really believed his lies.

"Guys, good news, our team is across the bridge. Now our mission is to cross the bridge. Eliminate the enemies across the bridge and then return to our team!" The company commander said excitedly, "Action, hurry up!"

With the encouragement of the company commander, Erlian, who had been worried after entering the city, quickly began to move, and rushed towards the bridge one by one. He was really rushing to the top, so that the major was surprised.

"The 35th Division has such a high fighting will?" he asked his adjutant, "I haven't seen such an excited young man in a long time! What kind of ecstasy has their division commander given them?"

The adjutant couldn't tell the reason. He could only ignore Erlian and ran past them quickly, and rushed to the bridge quickly. Of course, in his heart, he felt that Erlian was a group of big fools. He was so active in his front line that he couldn't wait to go to heaven!

The second company that climbed the bridge soon encountered another team. A fat sergeant was directing his subordinates to dismantle something on the bridge pier.

"What are you doing?" Koremiyaka asked curiously.

The sergeant replied angrily: "The damn mob installed explosives on the bridge pier and prepared to blow up the bridge... Haha, but we move faster than them..."

Keremiaka immediately turned to his company commander and threw a consulting look. The second company commander frowned slightly, then nodded firmly. He gave a few instructions to the commander beside him, and immediately ran forward with a silence, conveying the order to the three platoon leaders.

Soon, the Second Company was ready. When they had just rushed across the bridge, they immediately expanded their formation. With a gunshot, the fat sergeant commanding the bomb disposal fell head-on into the river. After a short gun battle, all the white army engineers who were completely unprepared were eliminated.

"The second and third rows continue to move forward, eliminate the enemy, find our large army, the first row guards the bridge with us, and let the engineers immediately connect the detonator and blow up the bridge!"

The second company's actions were too sudden and too unpredictable. The major, who was still at the intersection, was completely stunned by this scene. When Koremiyaka came forward and gave him a shuttle bullet, the major reacted, fled into the corner with his head in his arms, and shouted hysterically at his adjutant: "Enemy! They are enemies! We were deceived!"

In response to this, his adjutant shook his head secretly, saying that this was the use of this? It is best to quickly regain the bridge. But when he just said this advice to his somewhat crazy boss, the explosion of landslides and cracks came from the direction of the bridge, and the gravel that was blown away fell in front of them like rain.

"Excellent!"

Fu Longzhi, who had been observing Luga's battle situation with a telescope, smashed his fist hard. To be honest, he never expected Voroshilov to complete the task of bombing the bridge. He always believed that the reason why that guy didn't destroy the bridge immediately was because he wanted to do something.

But now, the damn bridge is finally over. Whether Voroshilov wants to play tricks or not, there is no excuse to stay in Luga.

"Check Climente to me and tell him that I sincerely congratulate him on his full mission... All he needs to do now is to remove the lads before the enemy completely surrounds Luga!"

"Shit!" Compared to Fu Longzhi's happiness, Voroshilov was simply crazy. He was like a tyrannosaurus, squirting flames frantically. "Didn't I tell you not to care about that damn bridge? Who deliberately violated my orders and exploded that bridge! Who is it? I want to shoot that bastard!"

No one could answer Voroshilov's question, because it was difficult for his troops to defend the city and it was impossible to bomb the bridge.

"Check it out for me! Go and check it out immediately!" Voroshilov roared hysterically, "I want the result now!"

At this time, his assistant whispered: "Comrade Klimente, Comrade Fulongzhi called you to retreat again, are we..."

Voroshilov pounded the table heavily and roared, "I will never retreat! Don't worry about his orders! Now, check immediately, who blows up the bridge!"

The officers and soldiers of the Second Company were warmly welcomed by the city guards. Not only because their magical weapon fell from the sky and inserted a knife into the enemy's back, but also because they blew up the damn bridge. Without that bridge, the enemy on the other side had to swim across a 50-meter-long river to come. During the swimming period, they would be an excellent target. For the city guards, these major ones relieved their pressure.

"Guys, it's not the time to celebrate now, don't forget our mission!" The second company commander was not overwhelmed by victory, and bombing the bridge could only resist the enemy for a while. After all, they had the advantage of military strength, and forcing the damn gutter was not difficult. Moreover, reinforcements from the direction of Great Novgorod were about to arrive, and staying in Luga at that time would be equivalent to waiting for death.

The second company commander said anxiously: "Take me to see your superiors quickly. I have important information to report!"

More than ten minutes later, the second company commander led Koremiaka to Voroshilov's command post. At this time, the furious commander had destroyed the tables, chairs and benches in the command post. If he delayed for a while, he might have to demolish the house.

"Is it the bridge you exploded?" Voroshilov asked angrily.

The second company commander and Koremiyaka were both stunned. They did not expect that the interview would be greeted. Just as they were about to say something, Voroshilov rushed to them maniacly, raising his hands and slapped his mouth.

"You idiots, idiots!" Voroshilov insulted them with the most vulgar and obscene adjectives in Russian, "You idiots have ruined my entire plan. You are committing crimes! I will shoot you, shoot your company, shoot your battalion, and hang you all on the telephone poles! I will let everyone know that this is the end of disobeying my orders!"

Voroshilov's foul language angered Koremiaka. He never knew that a person could be so rude and obscene, that such a person was not worthy of the title of Bolsheviks.

He asked angrily: "Comrade Klimente, I don't understand why you treat us so rudely... We have no mistakes in our behavior, and according to the orders of our superiors, the bridge must be destroyed, I don't understand..."

Bang!

Another loud mouth. The furious Voroshilov hit Koremiaka to the ground and kicked him three times, "You still dare to argue with me! I don't care about the orders of my superiors! I have the final say here!"

"Guard!" he shouted loudly, "Drag these two bastards and shoot them on the spot!" He immediately added: "Also, they shot all their companies! Tell the front line troops that this is going against me!"

"You crazy man!" The second company commander was also angry. He was about to fight Voroshilov with his fist, but the guards who rushed forward immediately suppressed him tightly, and Voroshilov rushed up without hesitation and slapped him two more mouths.

Voroshilov said boredly: "Drag on, drag these two pig tricks!"

"Comrade Klimente, I'm afraid this is not good!" His assistant walked up to persuade, "They are from the First Machine Gun Regiment. If we don't have our command, we can't explain to Grigori Ivanovich..."

"He's a big deal!" Voroshilov said contemptuously, "Tell Grigori Ivanovic that his subordinates are deserters, and we are just implementing battlefield discipline!"

"But……"

Voroshilov glared at his assistant fiercely, "But what?"

"But they brought important information, and the enemy of Great Novgorod has turned to us..."

"What's so great about this!" Voroshilov said indifferently, "Even if they come, they will only be bleeding in front of us... It is more likely that this is fake news they made up. Yes, it is fake news!"

The assistant looked at Voroshilov in amazement. He had been defeated by his superiors shamelessly, but he still had to fulfill his duties. He stammered: "I think... it is still necessary for us to inform Comrade Fu Longzhi of this news!"

"There is no need for this!" Voroshilov flatly rejected the proposal, "Comrade Fulongzhi will agree with my opinion, it doesn't matter!"

"It doesn't matter whether it's irrelevant or not, you have the final say!" A cold snorted appeared at the door of the command post. Fu Longzhi, with a frosty face, stared at Voroshilov tightly. Keremiaka and the second company commander appeared in Voroshilov's sight again. He stuttered: "You...why are you here, Comrade Fu Longzhi?"

"Why am I here?" Fu Longzhi sneered, "If I don't come, I don't know how many decisions someone will make on my behalf. Comrade Klimente, this is how you execute the orders of your superiors."

Voroshilov stammered and explained: "I was about to retreat, but the enemy was very tightly attached to us. For a while, the comrades couldn't retreat..."

Fu Longzhi roared at her: "I don't want to listen to you. Now, I will officially remove all your positions! Go to the Discipline Inspection Commission to report and explain all your problems!"

"But...me!" Voroshilov wanted to argue, but Fu Longzhi's anger was already full, and he burst out instantly: "Get out!" (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to come to Qidian (qidian.com) to vote for recommendations, monthly votes, and your support is my greatest motivation.)
