Since the victory of World War II, the contradiction between capitalist and socialist camps began to become prominent, especially after 1947, the contradictions developed in an irreconcilable direction. During this period, military crises occurred, such as the outbreak of Turkey, Yugoslavia and Palestine, where there was a risk of military conflict.

However, the crisis this time was far more than before. The Red Army cluster stationed in Poland and Austria was completely mobilized. More than 5,000 tanks were almost lined up on the border line, and there were thousands of fighter jets in the sky, attack aircraft and bombers in action. It looked like the rhythm of the three battles.

The comprehensive mobilization of the Red Army also shocked the NATO army, which had just begun to show off, especially Belgium, the Netherlands and France. The military strength of these three countries was less than half of the Red Army. Even if the British and American troops were stationed, they could not surpass the Red Army group on the opposite side.

And what's even more scary is that in Austria, there are a steady stream of second echelons behind the Red Army on the front line of Poland, with at least 5,000 tanks and more aircraft behind it. This is simply a torrent of steel.

Please note that this is just about quantity, and quality, NATO will lose its pants. In the torrent of steel gathered by the Red Army, almost all of them were t-54/55, and t-34 were basically left to the CIS and other allies. NATO was still the inventory platform of World War II, with the most still being the m4 heavy tanks, and then the m26 Pershing, which just changed its name. This product was reduced from heavy tanks to mid-tanks. As for the more advanced m46, it is still under research and development and testing, and it is estimated that it will not be put into production in 1950.

From the perspective of armored forces, the Red Army has an absolute advantage, especially as the new generation of the Red Army replaced the new 100mm high-bucket pressure tank guns that replaced the d-10t, the Red Army gradually gained a certain advantage over the US 90mm tank guns in terms of firepower. With more advanced ammunition in use, this advantage is still possible to expand.

Not only in terms of firepower, but also with the Soviet laser technology making a major breakthrough, photoelectric injection fire control equipment and laser rangefinders also began to be put into production. It was initially estimated that the Red Army's armored forces could be widely equipped in the mid-1950s.

Moreover, the relevant departments of the Red Army also hope to further expand this advantage. The t-55's large-scale modified t-62 is under intense research and development, and another high-tech future tank is also under development. According to Li Xiaofeng's requirements, the tank should use an updated generation of large-caliber smoothbore guns, command ceremonial fire control system, second-generation laser rangefinder, and composite armor. It must be ahead of NATO for about 10 years.

However, these are all later stories, which temporarily brings us back to the topic of crisis. Because of the sudden full mobilization of the Red Army, the NATO group felt great pressure. On the one hand, the United States began to mobilize troops nervously and flew a large number of fighter jets from the local area to bases in Britain and France. On the other hand, it also made diplomatic efforts and frequently warned the Soviet Union not to do anything randomly.

To be honest, this is really the logic of robbers. They were the ones who caused the trouble at the beginning, but when they reacted normally, they started to whine and say something that was provocation and threat. It seemed that the truth in this world was all on their side.

The reply from the Soviet People's Committee on Foreign Affairs was: "The Soviet Red Army is just conducting annual exercises normally. There is no provocation. The weak are provoking the strong. The Soviet Red Army, which has experienced the test of the Patriotic War, is a strong one and does not need to provoke anyone! On the contrary, NATO must explain why heavy troops are gathered on the German border. There is a security agreement between the Soviet government and the German government. We do not allow any country or force to harass Germany and undermine peace!"

In fact, there is no way to tell this kind of verbal trick. NATO dares to start a war? I am afraid. What about the Soviet Union? I don’t dare. Everyone just makes a gesture. Of course, this attitude can also determine the outcome. At least now it seems that the Soviet Union is slightly better!

"I am very dissatisfied with your performance. What we need is effective deterrence, which must be able to shock the Soviet Union. Now, it is us who are frightened. This is simply a joke!" Truman was very dissatisfied.

However, it is understandable, because Republican lawmakers put great pressure on him during this period, especially after the Soviet Union gathered heavily and scared NATO, the lawmakers laughed at Truman as a clown.

In response, Eisenhower, the commander-in-chief of NATO Allied Forces, replied: "The Soviet Union has a great advantage in terms of conventional forces, and we still need some time to catch up. The temporary threat to the Soviet Union should be our nuclear forces, and we should fully demonstrate the threat in this regard!"

Truman thought about it and agreed with this answer. Since losing to the Soviet Union in the nuclear tie for Japan, relevant parties in the United States have increased their investment in atomic energy, striving to produce atomic bombs with more quantity, greater power and smaller size. After several years of hard work, they have achieved remarkable results in this area.

By the end of 1948, the United States had more than one hundred atomic bombs, and more atomic bombs were being produced. Truman was quite satisfied many times. Now is the time to calculate the old accounts of 1945?

Soon the United States once again tested two medium-range ballistic missiles in real-fire. The moment the two mushroom clouds took off, the whole West was jubilant. Most Western elites felt that the United States had a complete success in testing five medium-range missiles in a short period of time, and each of them carried a nuclear warhead. Throwing five atomic bombs in one breath at least shows that the United States' nuclear arsenal is quite fulfilling!

It can almost be asserted that the United States has at least tied the Soviet Union's level in the nuclear arms race, and may even surpass it. For Western elites, what is most afraid of is the Soviet Union's nuclear stick. Now that the United States can threaten the Soviet Union with equal threat, what else can we be afraid of?

For a time, the whole West was full of joy and happier than Christmas. However, this joy did not last long. On the second day after the United States successfully tested the medium-range missile for the second time, the Soviet Union first launched three R-7 intercontinental missiles in one breath, and conducted a full-range flight test. The first one flew 12,000 kilometers and accurately hit a nuclear warhead. The second one also flew 12,000 kilometers, and accurately hit the range with a nuclear bomb. The third one was even more eye-catching. Although this R-7 only flew 8,000 kilometers, it accurately threw three nuclear warheads to the range.

After the successful test, the Soviet Union immediately announced that it had achieved success in multiple warhead tests. In the future, the Soviet Union's intercontinental missiles will carry more warheads to strike the enemy.

Although the Soviet Union did not clearly state who the enemy was, anyone could see that the enemy could only be the United States. When the Americans were still playing single-warhead ballistic missiles, the Soviet Union had already started to play multiple warheads. Although it was only a cluster-type multi-warhead, it was still far from the split-guided multi-warhead. However, the cluster-type multi-warhead was also ahead of the Americans. Everyone had to recognize this!

Especially considering that the Americans now do not even have intercontinental missiles, the Soviet Union's leading amplification has further amplified. Look at the Soviet Union and threw five atomic bombs out in one breath, which was like tit-for-tat to slap the United States in the face.

Of course, if the Americans knew that the nuclear weapons produced by the Soviet Union since 1947 were basically hydrogen bombs. The atomic bombs produced before either dismantled the nuclear raw materials and returned them to the furnace, or left a little bit as a tool to fool the United States, and the Americans would probably be angry to death. For example, this time, the five atomic bombs belong to stock products.

The cheerful Western elites were poured into cold water by the Soviet Union, and the hot little hearts suddenly became cold. No one mentioned any comprehensive leadership and victory over the Soviet Union. These guys buried their heads in the sand like ostrichs, and kept silent about the Soviet intercontinental missiles and atomic bombs, pretending that nothing had happened before.

Of course, the Americans were so excited that the Senate once again allocated funds for atomic energy and ballistic missile-related plans, and the waving checkbooks seemed even more tycoon than the rich. For a time, the United States' intercontinental missile and multi-warhead missile related technologies received quite sufficient funds, which could almost be said to be too much money to spend.

However, these sufficient funds were not received by a waste. While the Senate was making fierce allocations, it also passed a tax increase bill. It is really too much to spend money on the Great America, and it is really hard to make ends meet without tax increases!

What is even more unexpected is that there is no end to tax increases in the future. As the Soviet Union exposed more and more advanced technologies, such as artificial satellites, ballistic missiles launched underwater, such as nuclear-powered submarines, aircraft carriers and cruisers, as well as extremely expensive plans to land on the moon and explore Mars. Americans had to be looted by the Senate again and again, and the tax burden was getting higher and higher, and all kinds of messy expenses became astronomical figures. This laid the groundwork for the future division and disintegration of the United States.

However, this is also a later story. By the way, I will return to the main point. Faced with the strong counterattack of the Soviet Union, the Americans were disappointed again. They were not able to scare the Soviet Union, but were shocked again. No matter how you look at this rhythm, they were excited to come to the door and slap the face, but they were exposed to analm. Anyway, the Americans were extremely embarrassed.

But this matter must end, right? The Americans were originally planning to scare the Soviet Union, and then went to take the opportunity to cut Castro's jj, and it would be better to have another one to kill the chicken to warn the monkey. Now, no matter how you look at it, it's a waste!

To be honest, what the US Joint Chiefs of Staff discusses the most is not how to interfere in the Cuban revolution, but what should we do after interfering in the Cuban revolution.

In fact, there is no result to this issue, because there are only two results. One is that the Soviet Union does not care about Castro and Cuba, which will naturally be happy for the Americans, but the possibility is really not great. The other result is that the Soviet Union intervenes strongly. At that time, the United States will retreat to lose face and lose absolute control over the Americas. If the United States faces a head-on battle, it will probably be the rhythm of the three battles.

Therefore, the Cuba issue is placed in front of Truman as a difficult problem. If he keeps being tough, the result will probably be quite difficult to say. If the three wars break out, it is very likely that even if all mankind is not destroyed, the United States, the Soviet Union and the entire Eurasian continent will have to be buried with him.

So Truman had to consider a question, is it worth doing this for a mere Cuba?

This is a very critical question. After thinking through this question, nothing else is left, and the question of Truman's wisdom is not difficult to figure out.

If Cuba was quite meaningful to the United States in 1898, the Philippines was quite meaningful to the United States. The capture of these two colonies declared that the United States also became a member of the top gangsters. But fifty years later, for the United States, which had quickly reached the top of World War II, the value of Cuba, a small land, was no longer as valuable as before.

Let’s put it this way, the United States won Cuba and the Philippines back then was like a poor man who had a full meal for the first time. But fifty years later, this poor man had become a rich man, and eating a full meal was nothing. You could eat a bowl of abalone and bird’s nest. At this time, let the rich man fight head-on with another great enemy for a meal. Do you think he would roll up his sleeves and really go on stage?

The value of Cuba is not worthy of the United States' struggle, and for Truman, it is absolutely not worth it. So he will examine the Cuba issue more carefully and will never take excessive policies.

However, this does not mean that the United States has let Cuba go so generously, which is impossible. After all, Truman still has to make a move. He has to interfere in Cuba no matter what, but the interference is not so strong.

Truman chose not to open fire on Cuba in an all-round way, but to continue to support new agents to fight with Castro. If Batista doesn't work, then change to Matista or Jutista. It is difficult to find a three-legged toad in Cuba, but two-legged ambitious people still catch a lot of them.

At Truman's request, the Senate urgently passed a plan to aid Cuban "democratic" Doushi, allocated a large amount of funds, ruled out US affairs consultants, and supported a group of remnants of the former Batista government forces, hoping to fight against Castro through these people.

Americans have a good idea, but the result is not that wonderful. From 1949 to 1955, the United States paid a lot of money to support a group of "democratic" kids. These people either ran away with money to work in South America as apartments, or were crushed into a slag by Castro, which was useless at all.

But for Truman, this is enough. Anyway, what he has to do is give an explanation to show that he has worked hard to save the Cuban issue. As for success or failure, what, my term of office has arrived. Should the next president solve this problem?

As for the next president Eisenhower, this is also an old man in the officialdom. His level of playing against the ball is even higher. He will not take the blame for his ex... (To be continued.)
