624 Cuba and Vietnam

Cuba.

This small Caribbean country has been a colony of the United States since the end of the Spanish-American War in 1898. Of course, Americans will not admit that they have colonized Cuba. Americans think they are the great savior of Cuba's democracy and independence, so Cubans are not allowed to be thankful for their own efforts.

Starting from 1898, for more than half a century after that, Cuba has been played with by the United States in applause, especially since the mid-1930s, Cuba's political arena has been constantly turbulent, and behind it is the black hands of the United States.

Especially after Fulhencio Batista made his mark, Cuba's regime was almost controlled by this one. One of the important reasons why this person was able to control Cuba for more than ten years is that he only followed the lead of the United States.

However, wherever there is oppression, there is resistance. Since the 1940s, Batista's rule began to suffer strong resistance. Batista's feudal comprador policy was really unpopular, and a large number of progressive young people in Cuba began the path of anti-imperialism and anti-coloniality.

The most famous of them is naturally Field Castro. He was born in a good way, and the descendants of wealthy planters also received a systematic higher education and obtained a doctorate in law.

However, Castro did not become a wealthy consultant lawyer, but embarked on the political path. Later, he led a group of friends to overturn Batista's rule and kept surviving the 21st century under the nose of the United States.

1948 was a very important year for Castro, when the death of the Colombian leader Gates, triggering an armed uprising. Castro attended the anti-imperialist and anti-colonial student conference held in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, and participated in the riots of the University of Bogota against oligarchy. After the failure of the operation, he fled back to Cuba in a transport truck carrying bullfighting to continue his schooling.

This operation had a profound impact on Castro. It can be said that he has truly become a revolutionary since that day. Moreover, Castro's experience in this time and space is extraordinary. Because after attending Bogo's anti-imperialist and anti-colonial conference, he did not successfully escape, but was arrested by the reactionary government of Colombia. The immature Castro was thrown into prison. Whether it was trial by the reactionary government of Colombia or extraditioned to Cuba, it would not be a good thing for him.

But what is more interesting is that Castro's arrest attracted kgb's attention. Although the kgb Caribbean Bureau did not know why this unknown primary school student appeared on the list of key attention. But since the superiors gave this order, it was right that they paid close attention.

Soon the reactionary government of Colombia felt the pressure from the Soviet Union. On the surface, the Soviet Union was very dissatisfied with Colombia's suppression of student movement, but only kgb knew that Castro was the one who was really concerned about in the Soviet Union.

Under the strong interference of the Soviet government, the reactionary government of Colombia could only release a large number of progressive students. However, although Castro was released from prison, it did not mean that he could rest assured. The reason was that his actions were known by the Batista government. The feudal comprador government felt that he did not like students like Castro. Although he could not extradite him back to China, he abolished Castro's nationality and forbidden from returning to Cuba.

For a time, Castro became a three-no-person, without a passport, no identity, no nationality, and the reactionary government of Colombia announced that it would be deported. Poor Castro seemed to be at a loss. At the critical moment, it was the Soviet Union who took action and gave Castro a temporary passport, allowing him to go to the Soviet Union as a political refugee.

In 1948, Castro arrived in the Soviet Union. He had longed for this beacon of socialism. He first arrived in Leningrad and visited famous buildings such as the October Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery and the Winter Palace. Later, he officially studied at the School of Political Science and Economics of Moscow University.

However, Castro is not a good student in the academy. Compared to learning boring book knowledge, Castro prefers to debate with his classmates and participates in social inspections. In the first month of his enrollment, he traveled around Moscow. In the next two years, he went deep into the heart of the Soviet Union and deeply understood the social situation of the Soviet Union. Later, he went to China to observe the similarities and differences between the Chinese Revolution and the Soviet Revolution.

It should be said that Castro is not the kind of good student who can attract the attention of the old revolutionary Soviet Union. Among international students, he has average grades and is not good at studying revolutionary theories. This type of student is definitely not the academic class of the old revolutionary Soviet Union. They prefer students like Wang Ming who only knows how to study hard, believing that they are the seeds of the true revolution that masters advanced revolutionary theories.

What's more, Castro is from Cuba. Cuba is too young and has no political status. Let's put it this way, the revolution in the American region is not the focus area of the old Soviet revolution. In the eyes of the old revolution, America is the base camp of American imperialism, and the revolution there is probably the most difficult one.

Let me put it this way, according to the ideas of Sverdlov and others, the first country in the Americas to get rid of the United States and win the revolution will not appear until the 21st century. As for 1948, let’s focus on the revolutionary situation in Asia.

The only person who is interested in Castro is Li Xiaofeng. He brought Castro from America to Moscow. He gave Castro enough scholarships to allow him to proudly investigate the social reality of the Soviet Union and China. If there were no immortals, Castro would probably not have been very satisfactory even in Moscow.

Of course, Castro is Castro. He can succeed under the conditions in history, not to mention that he still has great support now. However, his era has not yet arrived, and he must stay in Moscow until 1950, and from this year he can achieve great success.

Li Xiaofeng is concerned about America not only with Castro, but also with Che Guevara, but Guevara is still roaming America, and he still needs time without the determination to become a revolutionary.

Let's go back to Vietnam for the time being and see the story there. After the Vietnamese Communist Party basically expelled French forces from northern Vietnam, they began to actively prepare to move south. However, the confident Vietnamese were immediately hit by a headache. The United States' all-weather air superiority and the armed puppet army of Ng Tingyan defeated the Vietnamese Communist troops south. Not only did they fail to succeed in going south, but they also almost made Ng Tingyan counterattack northern Vietnam.

After a great war, the Vietnamese Communist Party suffered heavy losses, and the regular army trained by Soviet military advisers was completely defeated. This failure made Sverdlov, who had been preparing to do a big battle in Vietnam, stunned.

How to say, Sverdlov was originally planning to drive the Americans out of the Indochina Peninsula in one go, because in the previous Chinese Liberation War, the plas trained and armed plas were amazing in combat, and he beat the "American" equipment of the scramblers one after another. This made Xiao Si have the wrong idea, thinking that as long as he sends some military advisers and gives some weapons, it would be easy to defeat the American puppets. He never thought that the Viet Cong was not the T-Communist, and that he could only imitate the puppets of the United States.

As a result, Xiao Si fell into the pit. After the regularization of the Vietnamese Communist Party, the combat effectiveness was less than half that of Pla. When the Americans took action personally, they were naturally beaten back to their original form in minutes. The failure of the Vietnamese Communist Party can be said to have given Sverdlov a blow. The hopes they had placed before were almost equivalent to bankruptcy. Anyway, Xiao Si was so angry that he had been in a row for several days and had no idea where he was wrong.

Sverdlov really doesn't know where he was wrong. He only saw the backward T-communist and achieved success easily, but he couldn't see the success of T-communist after nearly twenty years of accumulation. If T-communist did not have the setbacks before, could it be so successful in the future?

The Vietnamese Communist Party was different. At the beginning, they depended on the T-communist and survived, and the talents they trained were limited. Moreover, the domestic situation in Vietnam was different from the T-communist, and lacked connotation and background. Therefore, they were not prepared in the face of setbacks. Moreover, the military advisers provided by the Soviet Union were not suitable for Vietnam's national conditions. The Vietnamese Communist Party's armed forces organization was still in its primary stage and could only fight guerrillas, and even fight mobile warfare without experience and talents.

The reason why the T-communist can change so quickly is that the T-communist has trained a large number of military talents in the previous armed struggle and has passed this initial stage. Let's put it this way, the T-communist at the end of the War of Resistance Against Japan is equivalent to players with high level training in online games. As long as they exchange them for better equipment, their combat power will undergo qualitative changes in minutes.

The Vietnamese Communist Party is different. They only left the novice village. Even if the Soviet Union provides them with the best equipment, it is a question whether they can wear it. Even if they wear it, they can exert the combat effectiveness they should have.

Sverdlov didn't know that there were so many other statements. He only knew that a certain immortal had succeeded in China, but he failed in Vietnam. He was just angry and depressed, and did not go into the fundamental reason for the failure. So in the face of Vietnam's failure, Sverdlov lost his normal heart. He believed that he was not lucky and that the future of Vietnam's revolution was worrying. Based on this understanding, he believed that it was necessary to suspend Vietnam's actions, wait and take a look, and then talk about it later.

To be honest, Sverdlov was also scared after falling into pits in succession. He failed in Yugoslavia and Vietnam suffered major setbacks, which made him lose most of his confidence. Now even he himself began to doubt whether the time for the World Revolution was not ripe.

It seems that the old revolutionary is like ordinary people. When encountering problems, they will be numb, suspicious, and lose confidence. In short, Sverdlov retreated, and his retreat gave Li Xiaofeng a great opportunity.

It’s not that Li Xiaofeng is preparing to be a takeover warrior to accept the Vietnamese revolution. In fact, Li Xiaofeng is not very interested in the Vietnamese revolution, especially helping Vietnam win the revolution in an all-round way. Because Vietnam’s previous record was too bad. When they were tightened, they helped them tightly, but in the end they exchanged for their kindness, and this kind of ungrateful wolf was to die.

Moreover, Li Xiaofeng believed that the price of supporting Vietnam to achieve a comprehensive victory was too high. At the peak of Vietnam War in history, in the face of the US bombing, the Soviet Union supported tens of thousands of Sam 2 missiles, and once reached the point where hundreds of Sam 2s could shoot down a B52. Damn, this exchange ratio was simply a scam. Sam 2 in that year was very expensive, but the Vietnamese were fireworks. Who can stand this?

Anyway, Li Xiaofeng is unwilling to be this sucker. In his opinion, Vietnam's best state is neither statistics nor division. The north and the south will continue to fight for a long time. It is best to drag the United States to continue to consume it like this. This can not only weaken the strength of the United States and also prevent Vietnam from taking the Soviet Union seriously after winning. In short, this is a good move that can kill multiple goals. Of course, the only one who is dissatisfied with this is the Vietnamese.

Ho Chi Minh soon learned that the Soviet Political Bureau had made a new judgment on the situation in Vietnam and was preparing to tighten aid to Vietnam. This surprised him because Sverdlov personally promised him that he would increase aid to Vietnam just a month ago. Why did things turn 180 degrees in the blink of an eye?

He hurried to Moscow and worked on Sverdlov again, because he also discovered that in the Soviet power leaders, Sverdlov was most interested in the Vietnam Revolution, while Li Xiaofeng was cold. It was meaningless to do a certain immortal's work. The only thing he could do was to hold Sverdlov so that he would not give up.

Unfortunately, Sverdlov was already giving up at this time, and he was knocking loudly. Without Ho Chi Minh's persuasion, Sverdlov just refused to let go. Although he had not reduced the assistance to Vietnam, Sverdlov also made a clear attitude and would never increase the assistance to Vietnam. Even the fighter jets and air defense missiles that had previously promised to provide assistance to Vietnam soon were all cancelled.

This was a blow to Ho Chi Minh. Now Vietnam’s air defense is a sieve. American planes come and go whenever they want. Vietnamese people don’t even stare at them, sometimes they can’t even see them.

It can be imagined that if this state is maintained, there will be no more targets in northern Vietnam that will be bombed. What Ho Chi Minh wants to fight the most is to let the Soviet Air Force and air defense forces enter Vietnam to fight directly, followed by the Soviet Union supporting aircraft, anti-aircraft artillery and missiles to train Vietnam-related personnel to fight. However, the first of these two targets was directly denied by Li Xiaofeng last time, and the second one is out of the way. Could it be that the Vietnamese military and civilians will be forced to resist the US bombing?

"Comrade Hu, please understand my difficulties. You performed so badly in the last battle. The Political Bureau highly doubted your combat capabilities. I thought that no matter how many weapons and materials you could support you, it would be useless... I also worked very hard to convince the Political Bureau. The Political Bureau continued to maintain the previous assistance... The most important thing now is not to ask for assistance, but you must come up with achievements as soon as possible, otherwise how can I do the work of other comrades in the Political Bureau?"

To be honest, Sverdlov's words are purely nonsense. The Political Bureau is indeed very unhappy about the failure of the Vietnamese Communist Party last time, but this does not mean that the Political Bureau has beaten the Vietnamese Communist Party to death with one blow, and no longer has any hope for the Vietnamese Communist Party, let alone cut off or reduce aid to Vietnam. The only consensus formed by the Political Bureau is that the revolutionary struggle in Vietnam cannot continue like this. Practice has proved that the military advisers of the Red Army did not solve the problems of the Vietnamese Communist armed forces, and the Soviet Union's combat experience is not suitable for Vietnam. It seems that it is not appropriate to add more military aid, but to first find the problems in Vietnam and find targeted solutions.

It should be said that the conclusions drawn by the Political Bureau are relatively objective, and the main purpose is to solve practical problems based on actual situations. It is mainly to prevent waste caused by blindly expanding the amount of aid. However, when it comes to Sverdlov's side, it is completely different. It seems that the Soviet Political Bureau has abandoned Vietnam without him.

At that time, Ho Chi Minh was a little stunned. He was really fooled by Sverdlov. According to his understanding, this was probably a slander who had always been disliked by Vietnam. He might have gone to Lenin and Trotsky to complain about the situation. Of course, this was also the result that Sverdlov was most happy to see. He just tried every means to make things difficult for a certain sarcasm.

However, the effect of this kind of wrong move is not particularly ideal, because Lenin had just suffered a stroke not long ago and was in the recovery period, and it was difficult for him to speak for the time being. At this time, Ho Chi Minh went to complain to the health care doctor that he refused to agree. Moreover, Lenin was really weak even if he wanted to manage it. What's more, the tutor at this time didn't want to interfere with the next generation of successors. He had never seen any kind of struggle in recent years, not to mention that he was still a fairy who grew up watching him grow up, and he knew that someone was not so unreliable. So his advice to Ho Chi Minh was to be calm and wait patiently for the formal statement of the political bureau. Don't believe all the rumors before the official conclusion came out.

This made Ho Chi Minh a little puzzled. Could it be that the news he received from Sverdlov was also the dock news? It was also so unreliable? He was skeptical about Lenin's words or found Trotsky.

Trotsky did not suffer a stroke, but he was also very busy. In recent years, he has been busy sorting out various materials from the October Revolution and preparing to write a history of the October Revolution and his personal memoir. He was not interested in participating in the little bit of destruction between Sverdlov and Li Xiaofeng. Naturally, Ho Chi Minh did not receive a satisfactory reply.

This also made Ho Chi Minh even more anxious. For the sake of Vietnam's independence and liberation, he had already put his personal affairs aside, and could have tried his best to start to find a solution. Lenin and Trotsky's side were not effective, so he planned to find the old revolutionary "save the country in a curve". After searching, he found Taizu and Zhou Gong... (To be continued.)
