613 Yevgeny's New Job (Part 1)

Yevgeny stretched happily, then turned off the alarm clock that was ringing, and the hour hand pointed to eight in the morning. He was very satisfied with this, and yawned again and quickly turned over and got up.

Perhaps it is not too late for ordinary people at 8 o'clock in the morning, but for professional soldiers like Yevgeny, it is simply unimaginable to sleep until 8 o'clock in the morning. In the war years, each soldier's average sleep time per day would not exceed six hours, and these six hours were not allowed to sleep at one time, and they had to work shifts and stand guard at night to pay night, right? They would encounter economic situations such as enemy attacks or emergency dispatches.

In short, during the war, the most basic skill of a qualified soldier is to sleep at any time and anywhere. It is best to snore by closing your eyes, and to die with the enemy by opening your eyes. Anyway, sleeping in well in that era was a luxury for soldiers.

Of course, the officer is a little better. You can sit in the car and stare for a while during the march. Especially for middle and senior officers who can own their own cars, their sleep is basically guaranteed. But they can't sleep well, especially during big battles. The overwhelming pressure makes you unable to sleep even if you want to sleep.

For example, when he was besieging Istanbul before, Yevgeni, who had been promoted to the commander of the lieutenant colonel, felt under great pressure. The lives of three or four thousand people from a regiment were in his hands, and a little mistake would cause a large number of casualties. This pressure really made people breathless.

Fortunately, Yevgeny survived. His regiment was the first to enter the city of Istanbul and the first to capture Sophia Cathedral. Because of his outstanding military achievements, he won the second Golden Star Medal and the title of Soviet hero.

After the restoration of Constantinople, Yevgeny's troops were transferred back from the front line for rest. It was said that it was a rest, but it was actually a large-scale demobilization. A considerable number of old soldiers were able to go home, and another part of the officers who had been fighting for a long time also either studied or went to work in the local area.

For example, Evgeni's old friend Fatty Ivan chose to demobilize and return to the local area. He would return to his hometown to be the deputy county magistrate, and he would be happy to give this fat man a happy nose. For Fatty Ivan, working in the local area is even more like a fish in water. Maybe he will be at most a deputy department level in his life, but the fat man is very happy. As long as he is not allowed to continue fighting and he doesn't have to worry about his life, he will be very happy.

Fat Ivan chose to demobilize, but the armored train chose to go to Fulongzhi Military Academy to study. He still prefers to join the army. In his words, "I don't know any other skills except for being a soldier and fighting. What can I do when I go to a place?"

Yevgeny believed that with the ability of the armored train, he would definitely surpass his old man in the future. His old man is now a deputy military position, and he has no problem with becoming a general or a general. As for the rank of marshal, it is hard to say. According to the latest situation of the Military Commission, the rank of marshal will be an honor, and only outstanding senior commanders who have made outstanding contributions in defending their country can receive this honor.

With the qualifications of armored trains, this is probably more difficult. Unless the outbreak of World War III, it will be quite difficult for him to climb to the deputy military position in the next ten years.

After whining so much, what is Yevgeny's plan for his future? To be honest, he didn't think too much about this question. He joined the army before more to avoid his materialistic mother. But now he can become an intermediate officer. To be honest, he was a little surprised. He originally thought that he might be able to be a battalion commander, but who would have thought that he would become a regiment commander.

Of course, Yevgeni also knew that the important reason why he was able to be promoted so fast was that he had a good uncle. There were more commanders with similar abilities and achievements in the Red Army, but not everyone could be promoted to commander so quickly. Most of them were still struggling in battalion-level and deputy battalion-level positions. And it was his uncle's existence that always gave the green light to improve him. I have to say that there are people in the court who are easy to be an official!

However, this does not mean that Yevgeni's leader was entirely because of nepotism. It can even be said that Li Xiaofeng had never made any hints or instructions to promote Yevgeni. The Politburo members have to worry too much. They have worked hard for a mere regiment level, which is really a decline.

However, things in the officialdom are so interesting. If the big leader doesn’t say anything, it doesn’t mean that the little leader below doesn’t think about it. There are so many people who want to flatter you. If the leader wants to tell everything, what’s the use of you?

So even if Li Xiaofeng didn't speak and took the initiative to show off more generals to Yevgeni, even if he couldn't directly win the favor of the Chairman of the Military Commission, then Yevgeni's line was a very good choice to join the Chairman, right?

What's more, Yevgeny is not an ordinary family who is incompetent and can only rely on his ancestors to cover his relationship. This kid is still capable. He has both ability and relationship. Such a subordinate can be said to be the favorite of his superiors.

Anyway, Yevgeny can be said to have no need to worry about the future. With Li Xiaofeng's age, he will be the core of the core of power for the next 10 or 20 years. As long as Yevgeny does not commit suicide, he can still get to a high position with a step-by-step experience.

Even this high position refers not only to the military system. If Yevgeny wants to mix the military system, at least one general will not be able to escape in the future. Even if he changes to the political arena, he may be at the provincial and ministerial level. If he does well, it is not impossible for the Central Committee members or even the national-level leaders. However, that level cannot be based on relationships alone, and personal abilities are also very important. In the words of Yevgeny's gold-beaten mother Victoria, he said: "The Sberoski family is a typical nouveau riche, and it is not worth mentioning without Andre."

Although this is unpleasant, it is true. Evgeny didn't think his uncle was very good before, but when he left school and entered society and had a personal experience, he really admired his uncle very much. He thought that he was taking the technical route and craftsmanship, but it was not obvious. However, his uncle embarked on a completely different path. He went to politics before he graduated from university. When he was seventeen or eighteen, he was like a figure in a chaotic Russia, and he received the attention of old revolutionaries such as Lenin. He was a regular member of the Central Committee at the age of twenty, a member of the Politburo at the age of thirty, and the chairman of the Military Commission at the age of forty-five, and judging by this trend, he must be the core of the next leadership.

When Russia was like him, which one of the young men who had no legs, even if they participated in the Bolsheviks or the October Revolution, was better than him? Anyway, Yevgni felt that he could not do such a feat. He could deal with a group of old foxes at a young age. Please forgive him for not being able to keep up with his experience and intelligence.

However, such a good uncle will also bring trouble. Victoria said to Yevgeny more than once: "My stupid son, meeting such a capable uncle is the luck of your family. The relationship that others can't expect is simply within your reach... The future? Follow your uncle's footsteps. With him, you will never have to worry about it in your life. Don't think about it or go to the army. Just go to the place professionally and ask your uncle to arrange it. What's the best thing about the miserable army? If you go to the place seriously for a few years, you will be a rank-in official immediately. How great is that!"

Yevgeny thought that this suggestion was not good enough. Who doesn’t like the chief officials in the border area, but he was unwilling to take such a route in his heart. He felt that he was still young and could take a few more paths. To confine himself in one area too early, how boring life would be!

Yevgeny sighed in the mirror. The future choice made him very troubled, or he was very confused. After thinking for a while, he decided to go to Aunt Angelina. The only thing that can help him now may be this aunt.

"I don't know how to choose?" After hearing Yevgeni complain, Angelina was happy. It was very annoying to have no choice, but it was also very annoying to have too many choices. However, in her opinion, Yevgeni's troubles could not be called any trouble at all. She suggested calmly: "The only advice I can give you is to ask your uncle, who is the person who can give you the correct advice."

Yevgeni was stunned. He didn't expect that such an answer would be. To be honest, he didn't want to consult the powerful uncle. With his experience and wisdom, he should be able to easily solve his problem. But Yevgeni was not willing to ask Li Xiaofeng for help. Why? Is it because the uncle and nephew didn't have a good relationship?

No, although a certain immortal can be said to be one of the most powerful people in the Soviet Union or the world. But this does not mean that a certain immortal always holds an air or maintains the majesty of the superior. A certain immortal usually has no airs. All the staff who have worked around him recalled that someone is approachable and not difficult to serve. If this is the case with outsiders, it is even more impossible to deliberately put on airs to someone in his family.

In Yevgeny's memory, the only person in the entire family who likes to put on airs is his grandfather, Sbelosky. Since a certain immortal became a member of the Politburo, the old man has regarded himself as the "father of the Tsar". The old man likes this tone very much and believes that it is precisely because he teaches his children that the Fonsbelosky family can become the leading family in Russia and Nordics. So the old man is willing to live with airs all the time, and even the old man built a palace for himself, truly claiming to be the "royal family".

Apart from Old Sbelosky, the second one in the family who is hard to talk to is Evgeny's mother Victoria. This woman who fell into the eyes of money is always profit-oriented and only has a good face to those who can bring her benefits. Once someone loses its value, he will be abandoned like a straw.

So Yevgeny is really not very close to his grandfather and mother, but he can still talk about the uncle with the highest actual status in the family. The reason why he is not willing to seek Li Xiaofeng's opinions is also very simple. He is very worried that this uncle will give an answer similar to his mother, because this answer is almost the most beneficial to the family.

"Your worries are too much," Angelina smiled. "Your uncle is not that kind of person. In a sense, he doesn't care much about family interests. He won't force you to make a choice. Don't worry and go bold!"

Even with Angelina's encouragement, Yevgeny was not too relieved. He found a certain immortal and explained his purpose.

"The choice of the future?" Li Xiaofeng asked while avoiding the clutches of his youngest son who was learning to speak, "What do you want to do?"

Yevgeny always thought that once he asked this question, the uncle would give him some of the best answers, and even directly assigned an answer. He never thought that the answer to this question was to ask back. Uh, to be honest, he didn't know what he wanted to do?

Li Xiaofeng was happy: "You haven't even thought about what you want to do, so I come and ask for my advice. Well, I guess your mother kept muttering in your ears and gave you a big suggestion, which forced you to have no choice, right?"

Yevgeny really wanted to say that uncle, you know me, so he smiled embarrassedly, as a default.

Li Xiaofeng looked at him with a smile and said, "Do whatever you want. You are not living for your mother, and with your mother's financial resources, you probably don't need to support you. Since you have no pressure on life at all, why not do what you want to do while you are young? For example, traveling around the world to see the world, if you want to be lazy, you will just live for two years..."

Well, Yevgeny really didn't expect that a certain immortal would give him such an idea. No matter how you look, he doesn't look like the one who once climbed the peak of power step by step. Is this still his uncle?

"It's normal!" Li Xiaofeng shrugged and said, "I am interested in politics and like the feeling of being in power. I will naturally work in this direction. And you are probably not interested in politics. If I force you to go this path, you may not be able to achieve anything."

Yevgeny thought this was right. Although people's interest would shift, doing something that is interesting is more motivated than doing something boring. So what is he interested in now?

To be honest, after experiencing this war and enjoying the pleasure brought by adrenal hormones, Yevgeny really lost interest in a dull life. He wanted to do some exciting work.

"If you want to play with heartbeat, you can go and fire the bomb," Li Xiaofeng joked, "But then your mother will come to chop me with a kitchen knife, so forget it." Li Xiaofeng touched his chin and suddenly asked, "Are you interested in intelligence work?"

Intelligence work? Secret front?

Yevgeny was stunned at first, then a little excited. This work seemed to be about his taste! (To be continued.)
