421 Lessons from History (2)

Let’s talk about King Solomon’s topic. This famous monarch is very similar to his father David, and is more luxurious than the former. The importance of Jerusalem to the Jews, Christians, and to **** was largely consolidated by Solomon.

Because King Solomon did one thing, which was to build the temple mentioned earlier. This God's residence in the world will cause countless bloody crimes in the next three thousand years. Of course, we may never know what the temple built by Solomon looks like. Not only for religious reasons, the original site of the temple is not allowed to be excavated. More importantly, the excavation may not be excavated, because the temple has been destroyed at least twice, and one of them was flattened to the cornerstone.

But one thing is certain, the temple built by Solomon is definitely not as grand and magnificent as described in the Bible. Moreover, in addition to being the residence of God in the world, this temple is also a five-star service company. It has hundreds of barbers and temple prostitutes. Yes, comrades, you are not wrong. Solomon's temple does operate a flesh-and-skin business, and this business is the main source of income for the temple. In short, this is a strange religious building that stunned us in modern times.

It has to be said that the Jews are too good at doing business, and this will implement their subsequent three thousand years of experience. But this is not a good thing, for two reasons. The first is that excessive wealth can easily attract the covetousness of their neighbors. And Israel's military strength, hey, if the Jews are half as strong as they boast in the Bible, they would not have lived so miserably. In short, Israel is a furious child, and he holds a lot of money in his hand. Who doesn't want to swallow this piece of fat?

As for the second reason, being able to do business can indeed bring huge wealth, which is a good thing. But it is undeniable that businessmen or businessmen always think that everything in the world is valuable and can be traded, and that wealth can bring everything they want. Moreover, rich people cherish their lives. In order to protect their wealth, it is difficult for them to have the determination and will to die with those evil neighbors who covet their wealth.

In other words, the wealthy Israel lacks the will to resist, and their wealthy upper class is becoming more and more powerful and increasingly incompetent. When facing the enemy, the first thing they will think of is not how to resist, but to lose money and avoid disaster.

This is also applicable to David's descendants. Wealth is only three generations, and King David is still able to fight. In Solomon's time, making a fortune in business was the whole of the Jews. Solomon's son was even more cowardly, and he could not even defend the country left by his grandfather.

Solomon's exploitation made the Jews unable to bear it, but the remaining power of Solomon and David was still there, and the Jews' resistance was soon suppressed. However, when Solomon died, the north of Israel rebelled. They asked Jeroboam to tell Solomon's son, the third king of Israel, that they would not endure high taxes.

Reboam was quite arrogant. He really thought he was the king chosen by God to rule Israel. He did not take the words of the north seriously at all, but threatened the Jews in the north. As a result, Israel split again. Reboam ruled the surrounding areas of Jerusalem, while Jeroboam occupied the northern region.

The Jews not only had internal divisions, but also new foreign enemies broke into the door. Egyptian Pharaoh Shesongche led his army to point straight to Jerusalem, and humiliated the two Israeli kingdoms. In the end, Reboam, the grandson of David, could only use the gold in the temple to send the Egyptians.

So how much gold is there in this batch? Shortly after extortion of Israel, Shesongqi died. His heir Osorkon donated 383 tons of gold to the temple! It is said that this batch of gold was extorted from Israel.

It is very likely that the 383 tons of gold were not all that Shesongche had earned, because it was impossible for the Pharaoh to donate all the harvest to the temple, and he would have to leave a part of it for himself. Of course, even the data of just 383 tons of gold was already amazing enough. These golds were a huge sum of money in any era. To be honest, 99% of the countries in the world in later generations did not have so much money.

From this we can also infer how rich the Israelites were, and how Solomon exploited his people. You should know that he and his old man were only two generations. Two generations could make so much money, and their means of making money were surprisingly high.

However, huge wealth cannot bring peace and tranquility to Israel. On the contrary, it brings endless nightmare. First, the Assyrian Empire ravaged Israel, then followed by Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar made the Jews remember it deeply and unforgettable. Don’t worry. Before it was over, the Persians came again after Babylon, followed by Alexander and Macedonians. It was not until the appearance of the Iron Hammer Judah (164 BC) that the Jewish freedom was basically restored.

Please note that this did not end. Just one hundred years later, the Romans once again put dog chains on the Jews, and decades after Jesus returned to heaven, Solomon's temple was razed to the ground by Titus.

Looking at this period of history, what can Li Xiaofeng see? The bloody tragedy of the Jews? Or the tragedy of a weak country struggling to survive in the gaps between the great powers? Sorry, Li Xiaofeng sees not these, but mourns him for not fighting!

The Jews always seek balance and survival space among their powerful neighbors, and like to use the method of using force to maintain their own safety. But what people can't understand is that they are good at operating and making money, but these wealth cannot improve their national strength. They can't stabilize for decades, and a catastrophe can bring them back to their original form. Then, for thousands of years, they have been repeating this process constantly, and have never seen them solve their survival problems independently.

Especially since the Persian Empire, whether the Jews could have a better life depends entirely on the mood of their masters. For example, Cyrus of the Persian Empire was quite good to the Jews, so that the Jewish prophets believed that Cyrus was Massia; and for example, Antioch of Macedonia, he was also the savior of the Jews.

So much so that the Jews were always praying for the mercy of the alien master who ruled them. The master was loose and the dog chains were so grateful. On the contrary, there was no other way except to curse a few words or use a pen to criticize the opponent.

To be honest, this phenomenon is very strange. On the one hand, Jews can always be passed down because of religious relations and maintain national traditions. But on the other hand, these national cohesion cannot make them truly independent. They change hands from one master to another. They are constantly transferred like a small commodity. It is difficult for them to rely on their own strength to truly win a place in the world. This phenomenon has not changed at all even in the 21st century. In a sense, the current state of Israel is the same as the Kingdom of Israel three thousand years ago. They can only exist as if they are dependent on others.

It has to be said that this is really a big tragedy. A nation has not improved for three thousand years and always keeps doing repetitive exercises like a set program. This is simply incredible. What happened to the smart Israelites? It is not as good as those nations with less IQ!

Li Xiaofeng believed that the root cause of Israel's disease was in its elite class, and that the class that controlled the Jewish thinking led to all these tragedies. Why do you say so? Because the Jewish state organizational structure is still relatively special. There are two dominant groups. One is the royal family, that is, the king; the other is the sacrifice. These two cores united to dominate all affairs in the Jewish society.

This kind of leadership method is problematic. For example, the dispute between Saul and David mentioned earlier. Fundamentally speaking, it is very likely that it is a collision between royal power and theocracy. The result is that Saul failed and he failed to unify the two powers, resulting in the still dual leadership structure of Jewish society.

The problems with this structure are obvious. Once the royal power and the divine power are inconsistent or conflicts and confrontations occur, the Israelites will fall into civil strife and cannot form a unified synergy. From the later history of Israel, internal power struggles have always been an important reason for their enslavement.

The royal family and high priests were accompanied by the history of the Jews. In fact, the Jews later discovered this problem, and some Jews wanted to make changes, the most famous of which was Christ Jesus.

However, in Li Xiaofeng's opinion, Jesus is not a Trinity God, and his divinity is quite doubtful (this is not nonsense. Early Christian debates on the divinity of Jesus could break the head, and it was simply a struggle between you and you and me. However, there are indeed a group of sects who believe that Jesus does not have divinity. Even if these sects were eliminated as heresy, they still had a great influence in the East and directly had a considerable influence on the ******* Church).

In the Bible story, the image of Jesus is divine, born with divine nature, the Messiah and the Savior. But in real history, it is probably not the case.

First, let’s talk about the Catholicism that is Lord Jesus. In general, everyone thinks that Jesus broke through the rules and regulations of Judaism and created a new sect with one hand. But this is not the case in history. At least when Jesus was still alive, there was never any Catholic or Christian saying. Jesus was a Jew from the beginning to the end, and he did not recognize himself as a pagan.

Jesus’ beliefs and things he wanted to do from the beginning to the end were actually a bottom-up struggle within Judaism. The target of the struggle was the senior priests of Judaism mentioned earlier (including royal families, because many royal families also serve as high priests). Why did Jesus want to launch such a struggle, or to carry out a Judaism reform in the words at that time?

The problem lies in the bad state of Judaism. At that time, the Jewish king was King Herod. The Herod family came to power by borrowing the power of the Romans. According to ancient people, the Herod family had a bit of a wrong origin, or the family gradually rose to power by provoking internal power disputes.

According to Israel's orthodox concept, the Israeli throne should belong to the Maccabi family. Some comrades may not know the origin of the Maccabi family. This family is actually quite powerful and belongs to one of the few iron-blooded strong men in Israel.

The story starts with the Great Antioch in Macedonia. This emperor was very tolerant of the Jews. When he was in power, the Jews lived a good life. But the good times did not last long. After the Great Antioch died, the Jews' nightmare began again.

Antioch, the son of Antioch, the Great, or Antioch (nickname), the new master did not like Jews at all, nor did he like Jewish religion. This man destroyed the walls of Jerusalem, killed thousands of Jews, forbidden any sacrifices and worship activities in the temple, strictly prohibited the Jews from keeping the Sabbath, and abolished the Jewish law and Jewish circumcision. What's even more terrifying is that this man used pork to blasphemy the temple, and later directly presented the temple in Jerusalem to Zeus.

What punishment would the Jews suffer if they did not surrender? They might be crucified (this is the ancient Greek criminal law, and Jesus was not the first person to be executed like this). Jews who did not eat pork or circumcision were thrown down from the walls of Jerusalem and fell to death. Moreover, this little Antioch also publicly tore up the Torah, confiscated all the Torah, and even declared that all owners would be executed.

In the Jewish terms, the God-apparent Antioch was the second destructionist after Nebuchadnezzar.

As the saying goes, there is resistance wherever there is oppression. In the village of Modin near Jerusalem, an old priest named Matatias received an order to sacrifice to Antioch to prove that he was not a Jew. However, the old man flatly refused and said, "Even if all the nations under the rule of the king obey his commands, my son and I will still carry out the covenant of our ancestors."

When a backboneless Jewish sacrificed to Antioch, the old man was irritated. He drew his sword to kill the apostate, and then fled into the mountains with his five sons. The old man died, but his third son Judah (note that he was not the disciple of Jesus) organized an uprising army and defeated Antioch's troops three times in a row. He thus won himself the title of hero, and this title was the hammer!

Some comrades may wonder that the hammer has a relationship with the Maccabi family mentioned above? Well, in Latin, the pronunciation of the hammer is Maccabi. This hammer Judah also founded a dynasty, which is the Maccabi dynasty of Israel. This dynasty won Israel for nearly a hundred years of independence.

Let’s go back to the Herod family, which was originally a minister of the Maccabi dynasty. In the late Maccabi dynasty, after Queen Saromie passed away, the two sons of the queen fought against each other to fight for the throne. Among them, the eldest Sikarus’s friend was Antipat, and this evil villain was the ancestor of the Herod family.

With the instigation and help of Antipat, Sicarus once defeated his younger brother Aristo Bruce II who was fighting for power and became the king of Israel. However, this was useless because Aristo Bruce II did not surrender, and the Romans had already risen at this time. The famous Gneus Pompeii ended the Seleucid Kingdom and annexed Syria. Then he began to mediate the conflict between the two successors of the Maccabi Dynasty.

However, Aristo Bruce II was a little arrogant and did not understand the power of the Romans at all. He refused to accept Pompeii's mediation, and the result was that Jerusalem was captured by the Romans. Aristo Bruce II was deposed. Later, Pompeii appointed Sicarus as the Jewish High Priest and Antipat as the Judean High Priest.

Afterwards, Caesar came, and the future supreme fell into the quagmire of Egypt (he was also very good at making efforts for Cleopatra). At the critical moment, Antipatter saw the opportunity and decisively speculated on Caesar and led his troops to support Caesar. Naturally, Caesar wanted to repay his favor. After Cleopatra's reset, Caesar gave all the power of Jerusalem to Antipatter, and also named Antipatter's son the local king of Israel, among which the later King Herod ruled Galilee.

During the struggle between the three giants of the post-Roman race, the future Herod, the little Herod, was supported by Anthony at the beginning. With Anthony's support, Herod obtained the dominance of Judea, and the original Sicarus of the Maccabees family was completely undermined.

Moreover, Herod's political methods were quite clever. He married a Princess Maccabi (the daughter of Sikarus), which laid the foundation for his future replacement of the Maccabi family (but this marriage was an absolute nightmare).

The story is not over yet, and Herod has many problems to reach the top. Soon the Parthians invaded Syria. Sikarus' nephew Antico (son of Aristo Bruce II) gave the Parthians 1,000 taranto funds and 500 beauties in exchange for their dominance over Jerusalem (see that, the nature of the Jewish merchants was fully exposed).

The Jews did not have a good impression of the Roman lackey Herod and his elder brother Fassel. The two brothers were soon fucked by the Parthians. For a time, the Maccabi dynasty was restored. Antico retaliated against his enemy and cut off the ears of Unbessicarus, making him no longer qualified to be a priest, and Herod's elder brother Fassel was also killed.

In an extremely unfavorable situation, Herod fled overnight and went to Egypt to seek Anthony's help. Herod's original plan was to support his fiancée's younger brother, Prince Maccabi, as a puppet king. However, Anthony was not optimistic about Jonathan, the furious child, but instead believed that Herod, the cruel and ruthless guy, was the lackey he needed to rule Israel.

Later, with the help of Anthony, the restoration of Antico was defeated and beheaded. Then Herod eliminated forty-five of the 71-one members of the Jewish Guild. Then Herod became a new generation of kings of Israel.

It is obvious that the Herod family is a lackey of Rome in the eyes of ordinary Jews, and it is precisely because of the struggle between father and son of this family that led to the end of the Maccabi dynasty. Ordinary Jews do not like Herod's rule. This wish is actually reflected in the priesthood group. The high priests follow the Herod family, while the lower priests still remember the glory of Israel in the past... (To be continued.)
