Chapter 60 Snowman Traces

The bright yellow fire illuminates the shadow forest. In the thick gray environment, Modrian and his group hold torches and walk according to the map drawn earlier.

The war stonemasons were scattered around the team, detecting dangerous situations that could occur at any time, and also adding simple maps.

At the forefront of the marching team was Sain. His huge and burly figure was a sharp weapon. Heavy footsteps splashed snowflakes, and the cold and hard branches left no trace on the heavy armor and gray body.

Da da da da da!

The rapid footsteps sounded in the snow, and a war stonemason returned from the front of the team, ran to Dryus in small steps, and whispered to report the situation.

Hearing the report from the war stonemason, Dryus frowned slightly, his cold face showed a hint of solemnity, waved his hand to signal the team to stop, and then called Watsman to give a few instructions.

But after a while, Worthman left the team with six Noxus Bloody Cavalrymen and silently sank into the shadowy area ahead.

"What happened?" Modrian asked to walk to Dryus's side.

"There were strange changes on the battlefield of the winter wolf left over from the ice field last time. I arranged for Worthman to go over and investigate." Dryus continued to think of the previous description of the stonemason in the war.

"It may be that the wolf corpse has changed, so there shouldn't be too many unexpected situations."

Icefield Winter Wolf Battlefield?

Modrian recalled the situation he encountered on his last exploration trip, and it seemed that he was near this shadowy area. It seemed that the journey was not smooth after all.

"Let's take a look together."

Looking up at the depths of the shadows, for some reason, Modrian always felt that this exploration would lead to unexpected discoveries.

The burning torches kept the flames strong under the cold wind, and a faint smell of butter spread around the team.

After walking a hundred meters, Modrian had already seen the traces left by the last battle. The collapsed trees fell on the snow. The camp he built retained its former appearance, but was somewhat dilapidated.

The dried blood stains formed into thick blood scabs and solidified on the branches of the trunks. The torch shone brightly, and half-covered pale wolf corpse could be vaguely seen.

Worthman, who had arrived earlier, was commanding the Noxus Blood Cavalry to dig out the buried corpses of winter wolf in the ice field, dragging them out one by one and lay flat on the cold snow.

But unlike the corpses in my memory, the wolf corpses dragged out at this moment were extremely shriveled, leaving only a layer of fur to cover the bones, as if all the flesh and blood essence had been completely exhausted.

After seeing the subsequent team arrive, Worthman gently stepped in front of Modrian and reported: "Sir Modrian, all the remaining wolf corpses are like this, and they have a smell of black magic."

Black magic?

Modrian felt aroused. If it were according to the Valoran Continent, then his previous existence should be a magic supernatural master of darkness and soul, and a strong man who is comparable to Drayus.

Soul? Manipulate monsters?

It seems that we can clearly explain the previous riots in the Lenturu Mountains, but there is still some doubt in Modrian's heart.

"Hey, these seem to be very similar to the techniques of the scarlet harvester Vladimir." At some point, Poppy ran around the wolf corpses and reached out to flip the cold and hard corpse bones.

"It is indeed a bit similar, but it is simpler and more crude. Even the flesh and blood were swallowed together, obviously satisfying a certain desire." Drayus also explained, the red light in his dark eyes observing the details of the wolf corpses.

Aowu! Aowu! Aowu!

The shrill howl of wolf echoes in the shadow forest, and pairs of scarlet eyes lit up in the gray environment, revealing their desire for food.

However, the group of winter wolves in the ice field forgot the pain last time. Modrian smiled silently when he saw the familiar figure.

Without waiting for Dryus' command, Worthman led the Noxus Blood Cavalry to form a charge formation, and fearlessly cleared out the winter wolf in the Ice Field.

Life energy bloomed like fireworks, and waves of fear whimpering from the wolves. They looked at the familiar human figures and recalled the killing scene more than a month ago in their simple heads.

Except for the newly joined Ice Field Winter Wolves rushing towards these terrifying figures, the other Ice Field Winter Wolves began to stagger away from this area.

The massacre ended, and the sticky blood dyed the snow red.

The war stonemason who had been waiting for a long time skillfully walked into the ending battlefield, dismantling the wolf corpses one by one, and taking out the edible selected wolf meat as food reserves.

Poppy also followed Modrian into this bloody land, his blue face full of indifference, and this small scene was far inferior to the front-line battlefield where the Demacia Empire and the Noxus Empire fought.

"What a pity!" Modrian sighed in his heart. There was no monster like an ice field giant wolf in the ice field that was attacking this time, and he was somewhat disappointed.

"Dryus, give me orders and keep moving forward!"

"Yes!" Dryus turned and left. After dealing with this little trouble, the elite team quickly prepared and continued to go deep into the shadow forest. Along the way, they finally encountered several lonely monsters. In front of the Worthman and the Noxus Blood Cavalry, these monsters contributed the crystal cores in their bodies and turned into blue essence.

The deeper you go into this strange forest, the duller the surrounding shadow environment is, without any extra color, all hazy and dull gray, which is also silently affecting everyone's psychology.

However, for this group of extremely elite Noxus top troops, the environmental impact is minimal.

The howling and whimpering sounds like the roar of the wind passed through the dense woods and echoed around Modrian and his group, as if they were positioning their positions.

"Some familiar voices have been heard." Modrian stopped and looked around at the surrounding woods. A strange smile appeared on his melancholy face.

It was during his escape on the previous journey of exploration that he had heard howls with excitement.

"alert!"

Dryus, who had also heard of it, took over the command of the elite team and quickly arranged the Noxus soldiers to form a guardian formation. The Noxus Blood Cavalry were outside, and the Trifalli Army soldiers were among them. The innermost ones were Modrian, Poppy and the war stonemason.

Shortly after the formation was set, dozens of ghostly tall figures appeared in the shadow forest. They made joyful howls, as if they were some strange language, mixed with some fishy smell.

And amid these howlings of excitement and joy, more and more tall figures surrounded the paused elite team.

The burning torches illuminated the tall figures, and Modrian's eyes narrowed. He did not expect to encounter these terrifying monsters in the polar realm in the Renver Mountains - the Snowman.

Generally speaking, snowmen live in ice and snow polar regions and hunt on the scale of individuals or small families. They will smell fresh and flesh from a few miles away.

And after locking in prey, the snowman will make excitement howls of hunting and quickly shuttle through the ice and snow to chase its meat.

But the situation is a bit unusual now. Modrian looked at the dozens of snowmen around him with a serious expression, far beyond the size of a small family. Is there a place for snowmen to gather in the shadow forest?
