Chapter 31 The Gathering of Nobles

After the transaction was completed, Modrian did not rush to leave. His fair and melancholy face was filled with a sincere smile: "I heard that the Blacksmiths' shop in Rivodine has a lot of magical equipment. I wonder if Lord Bayer can take us to see it?"

Bayer raised his head and looked at Modrian in front of him. The cold winter sun shone on the young figure through the wooden windows, a little blurred and a little confused.

"How could the blacksmith of Rivordin open the door to do business? How could he turn off the guests?" Bayer rubbed behind the wooden table for a while, and a roar rang in the room.

The wall hanging with the corpses of wild beasts suddenly moved, revealing a simple wooden ladder that winds to the upper floor.

"Two, come with me!" Bayer first entered the wooden ladder and led the way in front.

Looking at the figure of the red-bearded dwarf in front of him, Modrian discovered some differences. Bayer's height was dozens of centimeters taller than the dwarf outside, about one meter five. Under his thin clothes were strong and bulging muscles. While walking, a brave momentum of steel casting came.

"It's very interesting design. I didn't expect that the Rivordin clan was also proficient in the mechanism except for casting!" Modrian exclaimed after entering the wooden ladder.

"Mechanism? This is an alchemy design from the goblins, but not just a mechanism!" Bayer said calmly, as if he was pointing out something.

After a few conversations, Bayer and Modrian had already arrived at the second floor of the Rivodine Blacksmith Shop. If the vestry is magnificent, then it is simple and elegant, with a unique scenery.

Under the simple decoration, there are transparent glass cabinets arranged in a staggered manner. Each one contains a magical equipment, weapons, armor, rings, etc. that emit energy fluctuations, and are all kinds of dazzling.

Wherever his eyes reached, Modrian initially estimated that there were nearly twenty pieces of magic equipment here, and greed spread in his heart, but rationality suppressed desire.

As a chain store that opens all over the continent of Kaladimos, Rivodin Blacksmith Shop not only knows how to make irons and cast, otherwise it would have been swallowed up completely.

"Sir Bayer, how much is the cheapest magic item here worth?" Modrian asked, not feeling embarrassed at all.

When Bayer heard this, he frowned and looked at Modrian strangely and said, "The cheapest one is the low-level magic item, worth about 600 gold shields. What type do you need?"

"Oh, Lord Bayer, are there any specific differences in magical items?" Modrian heard the difference in Bayer's tone and asked curiously. Most of the memories of his predecessors were in Perris Castle, and he didn't have much knowledge about alchemy items.

Perhaps because he was very satisfied with the previous transaction, Bayer did not show impatience and explained casually: "Magic items can be divided into: low-level, intermediate-level, and high-level. The magic power they exert is different according to the different qualities. In addition, there are even better magic items, which are not something that we low-level extraordinary people can imagine."

"Thank you, Lord Bayer, for answering your questions." Modrian showed a happy expression, but had other thoughts in his heart. Bayer's explanation showed that when the League of Legends system decomposes magic items, the amount of blue essence obtained is different according to the quality, and the original conjecture was also positively proved.

"Then I can introduce you in detail what type of magic items you need to buy." Bayer said in a plain tone.

"Sorry, Lord Bayer, I can't afford any magic items yet." Modrian spread his hands and said helplessly, ignoring Bayer's suddenly became ugly, because that's the case.

Although 600 gold shields are not much for Modrian's current financial situation, they also account for nearly a quarter of the gold shields. If he insists on spending this part of the gold shield, it may drag down his finances. After all, it will provide hundreds of Noxus cavalry in the Fort Dower and Cooper's expenses in the town of Irvingdale.

In the end, the transaction about magical items was not successful. Modrian took Gregory away from the Rivuding Blacksmith shop with shamelessness. What's pretty good is that the weapons and equipment that the Dow Fort was urgently needed had been resolved.

................

Time passed quickly, and the gatherings of nobles came as scheduled. The entire city of Edalas under the night seemed to become more prosperous. The vast streets would pass by luxurious and elegant carriages from time to time, and the carved heraldry showed the identity of the noble.

In the light green manor, Modrian stood in front of the bronze mirror and looked at himself in the mirror. The black gentleman's clothes were exquisitely fit, with golden silk edges dotted on his chest and collar. The white gloves were soft and comfortable, and they were very formal banquet clothes.

"Sir Modrian, Housekeeper Dodd reminds us that it is time to go." Outside the door, Gregory reminded in a deep voice.

After a little washing up, Modrian stepped out of the room and saw Gregory in a black dress at the door. Seeing his neck moving from time to time, he seemed very uncomfortable.

"Gregory, just bear with it. For one night, after the noble party, we will stay for one day at most and it will be time for us to return to the Duower Castle." Modrian said with a smile.

"Okay!" Gregory shrugged helplessly, and praised: "Mr. Modrian, you look quite handsome now."

"I like your praise very much." Modrian said, patting Gregory on the shoulder. "Let's go, we can't let Uncle Benny wait for us."

At the door of the manor, the wait was not long. Baron Benny came in a dress of aristocratic clothes that were common in the Stoke Kingdom. The black gentleman's clothes were embroidered with intertwined green branches on the chest.

"It's almost time, little guy, let's go." Baron Benny nodded at Modrian, and then boarded the carriage driven by Butler Dodd.

"Okay, Uncle Benny," Modrian said respectfully, and then also boarded the familiar carriage, while Gregory sat in front like Butler Dodd.

The luxurious and exquisite carriage shuttled smoothly and quickly through the city of Edalas, and the surrounding scenery flashed like a slide. It was not until Harryman Castle that the carriage speed became slower.

Out of curiosity, Modrian lifted the curtain of the window and roughly looked at the Harriman Castle, which was in the style of military fortress. A heavy and ancient atmosphere came over it. Dried blood appeared faintly on the towering gray walls. The alert noble guards stood on the walls, and the sharp blades in their hands reflected the falling moonlight.

During the Ten Years of Patriotic War, the expeditionary forces of the Ailanfalu Empire once captured the outer city of Edalas City and arrived in front of Harryman Castle, but eventually returned here without success, leaving countless bone corpses.

"It's also fate. Among the legions that came to save the situation in Edalas City, Brooke was the guy. It was also in that fierce war that Brooke and Earl Raphael formed a deep friendship." Baron Benny saw Modrian's movements, a look of remembrance appeared on his handsome face. He also participated in the war.

"Is that so? I never heard my father mention it." Modrian said lightly, lowering his eyes.

Baron Benny was stunned when he heard this, and then smiled. He didn't want to participate in Brooke's family affairs, especially the competition for title inheritance.
