Chapter 400 Summary

After Xu Rong hung up the phone, he took Wang Yaqin to discharge the hospital without delaying for a minute. No matter how comfortable or luxurious the ward, he didn't want to stay in the hospital for an extra second.

He stayed in the hospital for a week some time ago, which made him feel disgusted with an occasion for the first time. No matter day and night, he hated the atmosphere of the hospital. At night, the gloomy wards, corridors, and toilets can still be accepted, and birth, old age, sickness and death are normal.

The reason why he hates the hospital is because it is full of patients with numb expressions. What he can't bear to witness is the family members who are forced to smile. He is also from a poor family and can better understand the difficulties of those who squat in the hospital stairwell and smoke silently.

Many years ago, he was forced to be in a similar situation. The difference is that they had no money to treat their relatives and he had no money to go to school. In comparison, his difficulties at that time were not difficult at all.

In the car, Xu Rong looked at Wang Yaqin's fair side face and delicate eyebrows in front of him and said, "Yaqin, go back and ask in private, what happened to Li Geng and Wen Yongshan."

Wang Yaqin habitually responded, and after a few seconds, she seemed to have finished writing the draft, she said: "Teacher Xu, Li Geng actually has no bad intentions. He has not graduated yet, and he is still a child. He has all his emotions on his face. He believes whatever others say."

She just heard the content of the phone call between Xu Rong and Li Geng. Although they were the same age, she always had the illusion that the two were much different.

Xu Rong heard her concern, shook her head gently, and said, "I don't think he did something wrong. How can I say it? If any man is from his perspective, he will make the same choice as him."

"Um?"

"You don't have to be curious. We are now standing from the perspective of the bystanders or victims, so our ideas are completely different, but if you look at it from another perspective, the truth and the facts are completely different." Xu Rong lay in the back of the chair, describing the facts Li Geng experienced in an objective tone as much as possible. "Due to work reasons, by accident, a poor boy and a very beautiful female star who had never looked down on him in the past went to bed. After that, this very beautiful female star fell in love with him and decided to be his girlfriend, or the kind that he would not marry."

"This is completely in line with the unrealistic fantasy of most men. Even though he knows that the whole story is more complicated, they believe in fate more in comparison."

"How is that possible?!" Wang Yaqin subconsciously retorted.

"If you look at the scripts that others handed me over, you will know that it's impossible."

The reason why Xu Rong promised Li Geng not to make things difficult for Wen Yongshan was not a vain. Wen Yongshan was not a woman who was willing to be ordinary. With Li Geng's material foundation, even if he even paid attention to his father, he could not meet Wen Yongshan's needs.

Therefore, as long as he shows his attitude of not making things difficult for Wen Yongshan, Wen Yongshan will definitely kick Li Geng away without hesitation.

Although Li Geng is now hanging in the studio, he actually has a way out and can't do it. At worst, he can just go back to school.

Just like most undergraduate students who cannot find a job take the postgraduate entrance examination, they are out of an ostrich mentality, as long as they have a way out, they can keep going.

It is estimated that this incident will bring heavy blow to Li Gen, who has not actually left the school gate, and make him realize some cruel facts.

"By the way, there is another thing. When you meet Fangfang in the afternoon, you tell her to temporarily stop the promotion of "Drug War"."

Wang Yaqin glanced at the rearview mirror and saw that Xu Rong had closed her eyes at some point, her brow frowned unhappily. What she was concerned about was not the propaganda of "temporarily stopping the promotion of "Drug War"", but the implicit meaning in the sentence "You met Fangfang in the afternoon".

After being busy for several months, I didn’t even have to rest for a long time!

After a few minutes, Xu Rong still didn't hear Wang Yaqin's voice. He opened his eyes. With just a glance, he guessed the reason why Wang Yaqin refused to respond and said, "Yaqin, to be honest, you are the best assistant I know. It can even be said that your ability exceeds 90% of the brokers in this industry."

Wang Yaqin felt a little embarrassed when Xu Rong praised her for not having money and said, "Nothing is there? Teacher Xu, don't talk nonsense."

"It's not nonsense. It's like last night, Li Geng didn't want me to leave, but you took me out of the hotel with your professional sensitivity. It can be said that your choice at that time saved my career. You may feel lucky, but many great achievements are due to the combination of luck and hard work." Xu Rong said, changing the subject, "But you must never always rely on luck when doing things."

After Xu Rong's psychological construction, Wang Yaqin finally agreed to the request to continue working in the afternoon.

Xu Rong asked Jin Fangfang to stop the publicity war of "The War of Drugs" to lay the groundwork for the release a year later.

"A certain person knows that the actress is using any means to make her superiors, and she is so impressed by Xu Rong." Such a big gimmick is enough to ignite the audience's attention. Before the release, the crew of "Drug War" no longer needs to do frequently to show their presence, but to try to erase their own presence, making the audience feel that this is an ordinary crew. Only in this way, the sharp contrast between the front and the back will make the audience feel unbelievable.

The principle is also relatively simple, roughly equivalent to a good man cheating, which is more difficult to accept than a scumbag. Moreover, when this explosive news comes out, it involves morality and law, which is enough to satisfy the public's fantasy of freshness, explosiveness, voyeurism and other fantasies.

When the audience saw this title, the first reaction was who is this famous actress?

The second reaction was that what did she do when Xu Rong was stunned?

At that time, "a person who does not want to be named" will reveal that the "famous actress" is an actress in the crew of "Drug War". The attention that "Drug War" can obtain is much more intense than the conflict between mainland and Hong Kong film and television people.

But these are still early. What we need to do now is to relax Wen Yongshan's vigilance and use time to dilute the audience's memory of "Drug War".

When he arrived at the door of his house, he helped Xu Rong take off his suitcase. Wang Yaqin quickly got into the car and said, "Teacher Xu, then I'll go back first."

Although the New Year will be celebrated in a few days, after Xu Rong's big cake just now, she is also full of energy for the future.

After entering the house, Xu Rong suddenly felt a rare feeling of relief.

He always remembered Aunt Xu's instructions that "You are a boy who is away, you must protect yourself." But yesterday, after negligence, he almost fell into the trap of the vixen.

"Wow, this one looks so good too. Why don't we choose this one?"

As soon as he entered the door, Xu Rong heard the silver bell-like laughter coming from the upstairs. After listening for a while, he vaguely identified the master of the laughter.

In addition to Xiao Zhang and Xu Xing, there seemed to be four people, Yang Mi, Yuan Shanshan, Jiao Junyan and Song Yi.

After changing the shoes, Xu Rong realized something was different. The house had obviously just been cleaned up, and the red word "囍" was pasted on the conspicuous place.

He suddenly came over. In a few days, it was the day when he and Xiao Zhang got married. A few of them came here, probably preparing for the wedding. Among the students, they got married early.

He went upstairs gently, followed the sound, and arrived at the bedroom door, and pushed open the half-closed door. Looking at the white inside, he said hello and then choked again: "You."

He couldn't say the rest of the words, his eyes were facing each other, his face suddenly became serious, and there was a rare rebuke in his voice: "Look at you, they were shouting loudly, and they didn't even close the door. Do you know that they all made people rest?!"

Yang Mi, Song Yi and others who were trying on clothes in the room were about to scream, but Xu Rong scolded him indiscriminately, and they all came to their senses.

When the door was hit by Xu Rong's heavy "bang", they were startled again. Looking at the tight door, the few people couldn't help but look at each other.

They are changing clothes, but why do they sound like someone surnamed Xu suffer a huge loss?!

Xu Rong, who had left the bedroom, also breathed lightly, and Made reacted quickly.

But then again, although it was just a quick glance, why did you always feel that you chose the smallest one?

He didn't dare to stay for a long time, just to prevent the few people from responsively settled the accounts, and quickly and gently entered the study.

After several months of busyness, he is really tired. He is temporarily temporarily and cannot rest. As the wedding date gets closer, it just so happens that the New Year Festival is coming. After today, he may not have much time to spare, so he is planning to try to finish the filming of "Drug War" today and tomorrow.

In "Drug War", he felt that he had no one of the actors who met the opponent, but because of his first attempt to play as a leading actor, screenwriter, director, producer and other roles, different perspectives also brought him a completely different experience from the past.

He spread out his notebook, sat on the chair and thought quietly for about five minutes, and clarified his thoughts. He picked up his pen and slowly wrote: Summary of "Drug War".

1. What kind of script is a good script?

This is a problem that every actor will inevitably encounter, and it is also a confusion that every director, screenwriter, and investor will encounter.

From the perspective of a pure consumer and audience, the plot is good.

Judging from the perspective of an actor and director, it is clear, reasonable and has a spiritual core to convey.

In the early days of my career, I always judged the quality of the script from the perspective of the audience. Later, after "The Ming Dynasty 1566", I began to judge the quality of the script from the perspective of an actor.

Is this really the case in essence?

This time, I was the screenwriter of "Drug War", which gave me a different view.

The greatest significance of a script is to guide the creation, direct the creation of directors and actors, and the process of creation of directors and actors can be said to be the process of exploring the script.

So what are the actors and directors exploring the script?

There is no doubt that it is the prescribed situation and action.

Whether it is a director or an actor, you must be very clear about the environment the character is in, what he wants to do, and what he wants to do.

These are the two basic support points of performance, otherwise it would be impossible to perform the show well.

Specifically speaking of prescribed situations and actions, in life, we always understand a person by observing the behavior of others. The reason why we feel that one person has different personalities is because in some cases, this person does this and that person does that, that is, they take different actions in the same prescribed situation.

At this point, it can be asserted that what determines the quality of a script is the actions of the prescribed situation and characters.

A long time ago, I realized that when the audience watches the play, they are concerned about the fate of the characters. What the actors want to play is also the fate of the characters, but they ignore that the key to a good script is also whether it can fully present the fate of each character, that is, the organic unity of the situation and the actions of the characters.

The organic unity of the situation and action has nothing to do with the characters' lines and scenes. Just like some characters, just a few shots, can leave an indelible impression on the audience. The actor's performance is one aspect, but it is undeniable that the character appears in the audience's vision in a suitable way at the right time and place.

For example, to portray the difficulties of an ordinary white-collar worker, the streets late at night can be used as a prescribed situation, but if you lament that you can't pay the rent for next month in a luxuriously decorated villa, then the setting is out of reality.

Specifically, this white-collar worker appeared in the wrong place (villa) and took a wrong action (worrying about the rent of the villa).

In summary, the character itself is separated from the character's due destiny.

This can explain why most dramas adapted from real stories are always very popular, while most screenwriters who have no relevant experience will be scolded for their own dramas that have been pondering for ten years.

Secondly, during my time as a screenwriter, I realized that I had hated it in the past, but I did not clearly realize some problem.

The content that the script wants to express goes beyond the screenwriter's own experience.

The most typical example is the monologue of Juexin on the wedding night of the wedding in "Home".

Is that what the character wants to say?

To be precise, that is what the playwright wants to say, not what the characters want to say, because under normal circumstances, a living person does not have so much nonsense.

It is precisely because the screenwriter and directorial level are not high enough to be presented through some reasonable plots. This error is more accurately described as a plot that makes the audience feel "embarrassing". For example, a character appears inexplicably and says something important to the plot. However, no matter how he analyzes it, except for forcibly explaining it with "coincidence", he cannot analyze why he appeared at this time and place, and what he shouldn't say.

In this segment, the character has lost his own life and lost the purpose of his life.

From this we can see that Cao Yu is at best just a first-rate screenwriter.
