Chapter 75: Tempered
Soon, all the food was transferred to the White Bird. As soon as the sails turned, the team carrying supplies returned to the shore.
Klein watched the Black Dog's ship gradually fade away, and his hope of returning to the shore became smaller and smaller. Finally, Klein leaned against the side of the ship with a decadent expression and reached the side of Gapasd.
"Damn it, this ungrateful clumsy. We all asked him that way, but we were unmoved. We deserved to be a lowly slave for the rest of our lives." Klein became more and more angry as he thought about it, and he couldn't help but curse.
However, Gapas, who was sitting beside him, showed a gloomy smile and said in a plain tone: "Don't worry, Mr. Viscount. In my opinion, our hope of getting ashore at this moment is greater."
"What?" Klein suddenly felt refreshed when he heard Gapasde's words, and hurriedly approached Gapasde with excitement and asked, "Mr. Gapasde, what do you mean? Have you thought of a way to get ashore?"
Rather than answering, Gapasted turned his head and looked at the other crew members on the deck. The crew members were all excited about the fresh food they had just obtained, and no one noticed what was happening here.
Then he looked at Klein with an excited expression and said in a low voice: "The matter of our landing will eventually fall on the black dog just now. Based on my years of experience in looking at people, the untouchable named Black Dog has been shaken in his heart, but his companions did not agree directly."
Garpas said confidently: "If I guessed correctly, he would come secretly by boat tonight and then transport us to the press without knowing it."
Klein was already disappointed, and when he heard Gapasd's analysis, he quickly figured out the key.
"So, we just need to come here in the evening and wait for him to pick us up ashore." Klein said excitedly with his eyes. But soon he said depressedly: "But he and us did not agree. Even if he was coming, we would not know when we would come."
Gapasde smiled calmly and said, "It doesn't matter, it's impossible for him to come early to be on the safe side. We will come here after ten o'clock in the evening, and we can always wait until he comes."
After saying this, Gapas stood up and walked into the cabin. He stopped halfway through the way, turned to look at Klein and said, "Sir Captain, since you have fresh food, eat more dinner. Only when you are full can you have the energy to do things."
Klein agreed upon hearing this, and wanted to stand up and follow Gapas. At this moment, a black rat the size of a fist suddenly rushed out from his feet, which immediately scared Klein.
A moment later, Klein came to his senses and anger appeared on his face. He strode forward and reached out to grab the mouse, then swung his arm and threw it hard towards the sea.
"Damn it, go back to hell." With a curse, the black mouse drew an arc parabola in the air and fell into the sea with a plop.
Then Klein frowned, raised his right hand and placed it in front of him and looked. A bean-sized thrust appeared at the tiger's mouth, and the bright red blood was slowly flowing out of the thrust.
This scene fell into Gapasd's eyes. He took a water bag helplessly and handed it to him, and said with a smile: "Why do you have to be so angry? It's just a mouse."
Klein snorted faintly when he heard this, without saying a word. He took the water bag from Gapas, washed the wound casually, and then walked forward. Neither of them took this small wound to heart.
The black rat that fell into the water struggled for two times, but finally sank. Before he died, the soybean-sized rat looked at the sky with nonchalant eyes, and a trace of red blood rays faintly in the depths of his eyes.
......
With fresh food, there seemed to be a little more joy on the White Bird. At dinner, the chef took out his skills and carefully cooked all the ingredients.
Captain Klein even ordered all the wine to be opened so that the crew could enjoy the mellow aroma of alcohol. The feast lasted from five o'clock in the afternoon until ten o'clock in the evening, and it finally dispersed after everyone was exhausted.
All of the people on the ship were in a repressed mood these days, and at this moment they finally got some release. It seemed that the memories of the city of Adder and death had begun to fade away and no longer appeared by their side.
But among all, two people were very sober, namely Captain Klein and the wealthy businessman Gappasd. In the second half of the dinner, they appeared quietly on the deck and hid between the rudder and the side of the ship.
This time they came out, they were all light-fitting, and they carried nothing except some things that could not be lost. Even a part of the gold was thrown into their cabins by them.
In their opinion, the most precious thing is their own life, and everything else is nothing more than irrelevant things.
Sitting in the shadow, Klein whispered to Gapas beside him: "There are two more people on the boat who are in a coma, but I didn't ask someone to deal with it, so let them fend for themselves."
"It doesn't matter, but I thought you would call the second mate over here, after all, he has been with you for many years."
Klein's voice came, with a contempt: "Haha, I'm afraid that the idiot can't let go of the other crew members and shakes the matter out, so I didn't tell him."
Gapas smiled indifferently and didn't say anything. This way of dealing with it is indeed a good thing for them, which can eliminate all unnecessary accidents and make things foolproof.
In order to ensure the safety, the two of them did not continue to talk. Time passed slowly in this slightly depressing silence.
Soon, three hours passed.
There was no wind and waves on the sea at night, but after staying on the deck for a long time, I still felt cold all over my body. When Gapas came up, he had already anticipated this and deliberately wore two more tops on himself.
Klein was not prepared, and he only had a layer of captain's suit. He was already shaking all over and his hands and feet were cold.
Every once in a while, he would stand up and look at the coast. There was no moonlight in the second half of the night, and the harbor in front of him was dark, like a monster's huge mouth, waiting there quietly.
"Damn it, why didn't that lowly pariah come yet? He won't be timid and dare not come! Ah!" Klein growled anxiously, and said involuntarily sneezing.
Fortunately, most of the crew members on the ship have fallen asleep now, so there is no need to worry about the sound of sneezing being heard.
Gapas had to pat Klein's calf and whisper, "Don't worry, come and sit down and wait for a while."
