Chapter 644 The monk who goes and returns (two in one)(1/2)

Di Renjie's doorstep finally became quiet. Di Zhixun sat alone in the living room drinking tea intentionally or unintentionally. The cup of fragrant good tea was refilled until it was no different from Baishui, but Di Zhixun didn't realize it at all.

Mrs. Di sighed and walked in and persuaded, "Master, you can't succeed. Our Jie'er is indeed too young. You won't have to worry about marrying a wife in the future. With His Royal Highness as your guarantee, why worry about not being able to marry a wife who can be your backer in the future?"

Di Zhixun's eyes moved, and he shook his head and said, "Women's opinion!

Do you think the prince is kind enough to help us plan our future marriage for our children?

They are here to intimidate.”

What??

"No way, Master, our Jie'er is following the prince's back and forth. The prince looks so kind, how can he intimidate us?" Mrs. Di asked in surprise.

"Hmph? Kindness? That's a needle hidden in the cotton, and he didn't point it out because of the hindrance of Jie'er.

I originally wanted to make a connection with the child on the side of the fifth surname and the seventh hope. The prince almost clearly told me that between the court and the aristocratic race, we can only choose one.

Alas...forget it, after all, our Di family is a small character with no foundation, and it is understandable to be at the mercy of others.

I hope my son can follow the Li royal family in the future," Di Zhixun sighed.

Mrs. Di said optimistically: "Master, why bother to worry too much? Now the Tang Dynasty is rich and powerful, and the court is booming. It is the time for children to make achievements. Can you still be wrong with your prince?"

Di Zhixun said with deep eyes: "Haha, if a thousand-year-old family and a hundred-year-old dynasty, if the country is strong, it can represent the invincibility of the court, and then the former Sui Dynasty will not change its ownership."

"I don't understand those major national affairs. I always feel that my child has made a lot of progress in learning from Du Fu Madam Du in recent years. No matter what, Du Fu Madam will never harm Jie'er.

What the Crown Prince said makes sense. The aristocratic family can do all the murder and arson, so we cannot marry our enemies.

Besides, Master, you have abandoned your official position and entered business now. Why do you want so much to do?"

At the end of his speech, Mrs. Di couldn't help laughing.

...Okay, Di Zhixun was not in the mood to discuss these with a woman who didn't understand politics.

Bangbangbang...

There was a knock at the door again, and Di Zhixun's body tightened instinctively.

"Buddhist son, are you here?" A somewhat familiar voice came from outside the door.

Di Zhixun breathed a sigh of relief, and Mrs. Di complained: "Is it the wild monk who wants to take the evil spirit? Why is he here again? It's so lingering!

I'll drive him away."

"Let's go, let him come in. This monk is a person his Majesty has met. If he can't offend, he won't offend him." Di Zhixun stopped his wife.

So Monk Xuanzang was invited in again, but Di Renjie was not at home and could only let him drink tea and wait.

The bored Di Zhixun decided to accompany the monk to see what the other party has to do to let the emperor meet.

"Master returned from the Western Regions, is it necessary to preach in the Tang Dynasty again?"

Xuanzang replied in ten chapters: "Good, good, good, I originally planned to preach and spread Buddhism all over the world so that the people could bathe in the light of Buddha's compassion.

But last time after being advised by the Buddhist son, the monk realized that he had gone astray and had not yet achieved his own success, so he was not qualified to help others.

So this time I came to find the Buddhist son, hoping to follow him and practice in order to achieve the perfect merits as soon as possible."

"ah?

You? Practice with the children?

I heard it right, Master, you are a great monk. How many days have you read? It’s almost the same for him to be your disciple." Di Zhixun said in amazement.

Xuanzang waved his hand and said, "No, the Dharma is infinite. One sudden enlightenment is comparable to one lifetime of hard practice. The realm of a Buddhist child is far beyond that of a young monk."

"But your age...

I still can't believe it, after all, you have a huge age difference." Di Zhixun shook his head.

Xuanzang said sincerely: "As the saying goes, "Ambition is not about being old, and ignorance is a hundred years old. The little monk himself is a living example."

"What a weird monk. He is such a big man. He is not afraid of laughing at him after a child's butt." Di Zhixun muttered in a low voice.

Xuanzang smiled but said nothing, just pretending that he didn't hear it. There are too many ordinary people in the world, so why bother with the eyes of others?

After chatting for a few words, Di Zhixun was not in the mood to sit down again, secretly scolding the monk for being unpleasant and sarcastic about others everywhere. So he found an excuse to go out and ask someone to go outside to find Di Renjie and come back soon.

After about half an hour, Di Renjie came back leisurely. Di Zhixun seemed to be free and finally stopped accompanying this nagging monk.

"Jie'er is back?

This extremely talkative Master Xuanzang has been waiting for you for a long time. You talk, let’s go and rest for your father.” Di Zhixun walked towards the bedroom with one hand on his forehead.

Di Renjie asked Xuanzang curiously: "What are you talking about with my father? How do you look at his situation? It seems like a case that has been tried for one day?"

"Oh, it's nothing. I just talked about the little monk's experiences and experiences for more than ten years when he traveled to the west. Then I started talking about it and had not yet left the Tang Dynasty." Xuanzang said with a smile.

What? Di Renjie almost laughed out loud. His father hadn't been to many places. If you talk to him about the customs and customs of the Western Regions, he was not interested. He probably was tired of listening.

Di Renjie added tea again, sat opposite Xuanzang, looked at each other for a while, and then asked, "Did you figure it out, look at your appearance?

I thought you would never recover because of your beliefs. The monk who can endure twenty years of hardship is indeed extraordinary.”

"If it weren't for the guidance of the Buddhist son, the young monk would almost make a big mistake. He came today just to follow the Buddhist son to practice, so as to achieve success in his practice as soon as possible." Xuanzang said with a respectful manner.

"Follow me to practice?"

Di Renjie didn't expect the other party to think so. After pondering for a moment, he asked a question, "You have been traveling west for nearly twenty years, just to get the scriptures and come back to save others and yourself.

Now I have to practice with a young monk who has not read many Buddhist scriptures much?

Then wouldn’t your previous hard work in the west be wasted?”

"The Buddhist son doesn't have to take the exam for the young monks, the young monk has already let go.

When I was traveling thousands of miles west because of my obsession, I spent nearly twenty years back and forth. I had not realized much of my enlightenment, but my obsession became increasingly severe. The scrolls of true scriptures I sought back became a rope that bound me. In the end, the monk couldn't even tell whether he was going to seek the scriptures for the sake of preaching or was becoming more and more fanatical to preach because of the true scriptures.

I mistakenly regard missionary as a practice, but I don’t know that I am trapped in the obstacle of knowledge and views, which is no different from seeking fish from a tree of trees.

Today, I finally let go of my obsession and ask the Buddhist son to fulfill it." Xuanzang devoutly performed the Buddhist ritual of kneeling down to Di Renjie.

Hearing this answer, Di Renjie burst into laughter and helped Xuanzang up with his own hands, "You have such a view, which proves that you have truly realized it. It is one step closer to becoming a Buddha. It is a joyful congratulations.

As for practicing with me, there is no need to do this."

"How could it be? The Buddhist son disliked the little monk's stupidity?" Xuanzang begged.

Di Renjie waved his hand and said, "No, you misunderstood. Practice is entirely up to the individual. Others can only serve as a guide when you enter the obstacle. Whether you achieve enlightenment or not can be understood by instilling education by others.

Nowadays, from the court to the people in the Tang Dynasty, all the Buddhist missionary is deeply hated, so missionary is absolutely impossible, and missionary is not the original intention of our Buddhism.

My advice is to walk the world with your own heart, to guide the world, not to believe in faith and not stick to the practice methods, and to use your own insights and insights to make the people who are destined to understand themselves.

First, those who are wise can break free from the shackles of joy and sorrow, and second, these people have also inherited the true meaning of Buddhism, and have the best of both worlds."

Xuanzang's eyes lit up and said in surprise: "Isn't this the Buddha's way of preaching back then? He did not force others to believe in it, nor did he require the precepts. He just walked around the world to point out the world, and eventually left the fire of the stars and Nirvana.

I didn’t expect that you have never been to the Western Regions and never seen the footprints left by the Buddha, but you can tell the path to becoming a Buddha. You are worthy of being the successor of the Buddha.

The little monk follows the law and is ready to travel all over the world.”

"Let's leave now? Isn't it a little sudden?" Di Renjie was stunned for a moment.

"Why do you have to stick to this and that time when the opportunity comes? It's just the scriptures that the monk has worked hard to get back. It seems a pity to just abandon the worn shoes like this. What if I send them to the Buddhist son to leave a souvenir?

Maybe one day you will meet someone with destiny to benefit from one of the scriptures, and that would be considered as a young monk who would not have gone for nothing.” Xuanzang said sincerely.

"Yes, I'm planning to rebuild the Shaolin Sutra Library. It's a good thing to include and save the scriptures you retrieved." Di Renjie agreed.

"Thank you, the monk, farewell!"

"If you forget the rules and precepts on the road, you can practice and even devote yourself to the world to marry and have children, so as not to hate the bald monk too much, and you can be safe." Di Renjie reminded.

Master Xuanzang, who had already walked out of the gate, responded quickly and slashed and disappeared at the entrance of the alley.

Di Renjie was stunned for a moment, then felt something, and stood in the yard and bowed to the former site of Shaolin Temple to the east, muttering a word: "The elders and masters of Shaolin Temple, the disciples have limited abilities. This way, I hope you can rest incense after you know what you know in the spring."

A month later, in the Political Consultative Hall, Emperor Li Er received a secret report and found Prince Li Chengqian.

After reading the secret report, Li Chengqian was surprised and said, "How could this happen? This year's scientific examination has eliminated the unhealthy trend of submitting papers. Why are there so many people who have turned to those famous families?"

The emperor didn't say anything. The eunuch next to him saw the awkward atmosphere and whispered: "Maybe it was influenced by the convention. Over the years, people have known that the enrollment of the book is a must-take. People always imitate the rumors without understanding them."

"Damn it! I have been useless and have helped them pave the way, but in the end I am still so unsatisfied and rotten wood cannot be carved. It's really hateful!" Li Chengqian said angrily.

Emperor Li Er laughed, as if everything was under control, calmly picked up another piece of information from the desk and threw it to his son Li Chengqian.

Li Chengqian finished reading it quickly, but this time he was surprised: "Father, what's going on? Why are these candidates so honest and upright in these states? Is there anything wrong with it?"

Li Er looked at his son with the eyes of the school entrance examination. Li Chengqian understood and lowered his head to study.

After a moment, he suddenly realized, "These officials who worked diligently and devotedly to the court were basically in the surrounding state roads, not because these people were much more talented, but because the aristocratic families could not reach the hands of the place where they were working."

"That's true, I had long expected this to be the result, so I deliberately arranged it. 70% of the candidates this year have arranged the newly occupied territory, northeast, northwest, southwest, and even the Jiangnan region and Lingnan region. Only the Central Plains region that the family firmly controls is arranged at least." Li Er said proudly.

Li Chengqian said respectfully: "The father is wise, and the sons admire him."

This will not only paralyze these families, but also reduce conflicts with them, killing two birds with one stone…”

But strangely, Li Er interrupted before he could finish his flattery.

"I didn't plan that."
