321 Farewell

"Father? Father!"

Jack Alma turned his head and shouted loudly towards the house, one louder than another, and the sound of his throat tearing sounded over his eardrums like an electric drill.

John Alma tried to stop his brother, but Jack was a little unyielding, "John, I tell you, if my father really missed it, he would regret it. Believe me, he just refused to admit it, but he always stood by Noah, and we were all happy for Noah."

"Jack." Lu Yiqi, who was standing next to him, also showed a helpless smile and tried to stop Jack, but he was still half a beat slower.

"Noah, you're here to wait." Jack turned around and ran back into the room without waiting for Lu Yiqi to continue speaking.

John stood there with a little awkward expression, "Noah, sorry..."

"No, no, no, John, there is no need, I'm serious." Lu Yiqi waved his hand repeatedly, "I can understand Mr. Alma's feelings. Believe me, I'm serious; if I change positions, I will make the same choice. Because Mr. Alma really loves the Wildcats."

Today, Lu Yiqi officially bid farewell to Manhattan and drove to Green Bay to end his coaching career at Kansas State University in just two seasons.

The next door neighbor Alma family all came out to bid farewell to Lu Yiqi, but the retired old John Alma was missing:

He still complained that Lu Yiqi turned around and left, and did not stay and fight with them, nor did he fight for it with all his might, but went to the professional league to seek a future.

The young John Alma showed an apology, "We should thank you and wish you..."

"Ha, John, if you continue, there will probably be no end. I should set off." Lu Yiqi did not let the conversation continue.

Looking back at the room, Jack still did not show up, and Mr. Alma did not show up.

Lu Yiqi did not stop any longer and handed a small gift box in his hand to John, "This is a gift for farewell. Tell Mr. Alma that this is our secret, please be sure to pass it over to him."

After saying that, Lu Yiqi opened the car door, sat in the driver's seat, and left without hesitation.

From the rearview mirror, you can see Jack walking out alone and shook his head dejectedly.

On that day, many residents gathered on the streets and alleys of Manhattan, waved their hands to see off Lu Yiqi, expressing their love and respect with smiles and eyes.

What is even more commendable is that the bus team "resigned without permission" listed a convoy, following Lu Yiqi's vehicle in a mighty manner, escorting Lu Yiqi away from the Manhattan territory, and then stopped.

"Bar."

“Baoba…”

The sound of the bus horns was connected, resounding in the sky long and distant places, escorting Lu Yiqi away, expressing high respect like a cannon.

This is the most touching and wonderful scene in the history of the small town of Manhattan. Even Bill Schneider was not able to receive such treatment when he retired.

Alma, who had always sat at home, refused to go out paranoidly, but the next day, he led local residents to gather at the entrance of Kansas State University again to express strong protests, expressing dissatisfaction with the school's chilling behavior:

They had countless ways to deal with the conflict between Lu Yiqi, Augustus and the coaching staff, but they chose the simplest, rough and stupidest one, and in such a way that they sent away the Wildcats' hope for the future in a messy and ugly manner.

Wifald and Weather became the target of public criticism, under tremendous pressure and could not sleep all night.

Later, news of Richard Giesson joining forces with board members to put pressure on Weather spread wildly, and Richard became the target of venting his anger in the local situation.

Richard had to close his doors and windows to block all his vision strictly. Originally, Richard was preparing to participate in the 2010 parliamentary election, but the first round of elections in the region was not passed and was forced to postpone his plan, so the 2010 campaign was left alone.

Regarding "Lu Yiqi", they have never made any public comments, just as if they don't know Lu Yiqi at all. Naturally, no one can know their views on Lu Yiqi joining Green Bay Packers after leaving Kansas State University, but the situation should not be very wonderful.

Why?

In 2008, the Kansas State University Wildcats led by Ron Press achieved a poor record of only four wins and eight losses. Among them, there were only two wins and six losses in the Big 12, and all three of the mortal enemies lost. The away game was humiliated by the University of Kansas at the "21:52" game.

The season was just over and Pres was officially fired; Tim Weather's job was also in jeopardy.

However, Weather promptly invited Bill Schneider to return to the mountain to take charge of the coach and promoted quarterback coach Dave Brock to serve as offensive coordinator, which successfully calmed down the anger of the fans and narrowly saved his job.

The Alma family is still the Wildcats' most loyal supporter.

Old John Alma rarely mentions Lu Yiqi's name. Little John Alma thought his father had forgotten it, but during a raid searching for sweets at home, he found a square candy box with a note:

“Dear Mr. Alma,

This is a small reward for our team to win the championship. Thank you for not losing your faith and being willing to believe us. Shh, please be sure to keep it confidential to the II.

your,

Archie.”

The final signature is not the familiar Noah, but Archie.

Little John immediately understood that this was the gift Lu Yiqi gave before leaving, and his father always treasured it - the candies inside had already been eaten, and then his father secretly hid some other candies.

After hesitating for a moment, little John put the candy box back. Occasionally—very rare—once, he and Jack would put a little candy in, and pretended not to know anything.

When 2008 is coming to an end, it should be Thanksgiving. When Jack was switching TV stations, he accidentally saw the Green Bay Packers game, so he put down the remote control and continued to watch the game.

Old John was about to leave, but he stopped and said nothing, just sat silently on the sofa.

Later, unconsciously watching the Green Bay Packers game became another event for the Alma family, an extra event besides the Wildcats game. After that, they had not missed any Green Bay Packers game, as if they had not missed any Kansas State game.

Although the Alma family never went to Green Bay, many neighbors in Manhattan know that their family is loyal fans of Packers, especially after the birth of the little John and Jack, the group of little ones grew up watching the Packers game, which became a new tradition.
