173 Instructors

The person who came was Pat Shulmoore.

He used to be a tight end coach at Michigan State University. If it weren't for him, Lu Yiqi wouldn't have won the chance to play in college; similarly, if it weren't for him, Lu Yiqi wouldn't have won the chance to intern in the Philadelphia Eagles. Without these, Lu Yiqi wouldn't have been the current Lu Yiqi.

Therefore, although Lu Yiqi once had many coaches and mentors, Shulmur is still his only teacher.

In fact, Shulmoore and Lu Yiqi had only one year of intersection at Michigan State University. In 1998, Shulmoore went to Stanford University to serve as offensive coordinator; in 1999, Shulmoore went to the Philadelphia Hawks to serve as tight end coach, and was promoted to quarterback coach in 2002. Later, he continued his teacher-student friendship with Lu Yiqi in the Philadelphia Hawks.

Over the past five years, Donovan McNabb, the Philadelphia Hawks quarterback, shining under Shuremore's training, not only refreshing a series of quarterback data in the history of the Philadelphia Hawks, but also joined hands to enter the Super Bowl finale in the 2004 season. This is also the first time the Philadelphia Hawks entered the Super Bowl since 1980 - Unfortunately, they eventually lost to the New England Patriots of the Dark Horse Miracle.

This season, Schulmore is still serving as quarterback coach for the Philadelphia Hawks. Now, during the regular season, he appears in Manhattan, which is indeed a bit unusual.

"I'm here to watch the game. Why, do I need to notify you in advance?" Shulmur deliberately raised his chest and said proudly.

I haven't seen you for many years, and the teacher still looks like an old naughty boy in my memory.

Lu Yiqi waved his hands repeatedly and said seriously, "No, of course not. I just worried that you might not be able to buy tickets and squeeze in. I tried to call me for help, but I was busy preparing for the competition and missed the phone again, so..."

The words behind were not finished, leaving a tail, but it was enough.

Shulmur stared at Lu Yiqi with wide eyes, trying to hide his guilt-

He really couldn't buy tickets. He originally thought that the attendance rate of an ordinary non-night match in NCAA should not reach 100%, and it was more than enough to buy tickets on site temporarily. As a result, the popularity of the "Sunflower Battle" was beyond imagination, forcing him to use his connections and circle around for a few turns before he walked through the VIP channel of Kansas State University and was able to enter the court.

Shulmoore doesn't need an answer, the expression and eyes are enough to illustrate the problem.

Lu Yiqi was not aggressive either. He stopped when he saw it was good. He held back his smile and changed the subject, "So, how do you feel when you come to watch the game today? Have I made progress over the years?"

Shulmur immediately felt it out. Sure enough, Lu Yiqi knew the art of speaking. He also took advantage of the situation and said enthusiastically, "When playing basketball with his brain, coach Shaban was right at the time, this is your biggest weapon. Today's game, the tactical layout and on-the-spot response are excellent. In the NCAA arena, you can already be competent for the head coach."

This is to be honest, and there is no compliment at all.

"By the way, there are really many excellent ideas on the defensive tactics side. Even if it is placed in nfl, you can see the power, and the progress is really great."

Shulmur himself is from the offensive team, but don't forget that his uncle Fritz Shulmur is a defensive master. He has been influenced by his childhood and his vision is naturally extraordinary. Of course, watching and guiding is one thing, but actual operations are another. He is still suitable to stay in the offensive team.

Lu Yiqi was not humble or exaggerated, "I have some bold ideas, but in the actual operation, the main thing was that our defensive coaches were constantly adjusted and improved; we had a linebacker coach, David Robert, who had solid basic skills and a very solid knowledge of the entire system."

Shulmoore nodded repeatedly in agreement, "It can be seen that the tactical framework and execution of the linebacker are very clear. Those changes are simply fouls in the NCAA arena. Few university coaches are willing to study these tactics in depth. After all, the players do not have enough time to train, which is just futile."

"It is conceivable that your players must think you are the devil coach." Shulmoore joked again-

Those complex tactics, without the continuous polishing of tactical meetings and the continuous accumulation of daily training, are absolutely impossible to show such power on the field. This also means that in addition to an excellent coaching team, the hard work of the players is also an important key.

Lu Yiqi spread his hands and did not deny it, "Now you know, how did I get rid of the nickname 'babyface coach'?"

Shulmur noticed Lu Yiqi's gaze and shivered inexplicably, as if he was a ghost; but blinked, Lu Yiqi's harmless smile appeared in front of him again.

Shulmoore decided not to quarrel with Lu Yiqi anymore and quickly got to the topic of today. "Actually, I saw the news of your game in espn. Obviously, no one expected that the favorite to win the championship, the University of Texas, would fall on you, and it still lost so quickly."

"Oh? Did nfl hear the rumors too? Good!" Lu Yiqi clenched his fists to celebrate himself - it is definitely not that easy for the news of the ncaa arena to get attention from the professional arena.

Shulmoore showed a big smile, "Seeing your performance, I can assume that you should still want to go to NFL as a coach, right?"

Lu Yiqi didn't say anything, but just showed a look of course.

This made Shulmoore appreciate it, "This week, we went to Minnesota to play away, and the team has arrived in Minneapolis. I asked the head coach for the consent and left the team to come to Manhattan to watch the game. I really hope to see your game situation and then inform you in advance."

Lu Yiqi stopped and had already captured clues.

Shulmur laughed and deliberately kept it a secret, "It's rare to see you nervous. Should we smoke a cigarette first and then continue when we come back?"

"Teacher." Lu Yiqi was a little helpless.

Shulmoore raised his hands and made a surrender gesture, "Okay, okay, I understand. Actually, the St. Louis Rams intends to invite me to serve as offensive coordinator, but I have not made a decision yet. I discussed it with Andy, and he also hopes that I can achieve better development, but I personally feel a little hesitant."

Before moving to St. Louis, the team was the Los Angeles Rams, which was the team that Fritz Schulmore had become famous. Although they moved to the city, there are still many traces of the Shulmore family in that team. It is not uncommon for them to provide Pat Schulmore with a higher coaching position.
