Chapter 1 Chang'an

In the autumn of 191 AD, the northern bank of the Yellow River was Chang'an, the capital of Han Dynasty.

In August, the dog days passed shortly after the autumn tigers often appeared, sometimes three minutes hotter than midsummer. However, there was just a heavy rain last night and the weather became much cooler.

Xicheng is a place where civilians live together. There are no wealthy and luxurious houses, all of which are low and old ordinary tiled houses, one next to the other, densely packed. The layout is not very particular. Alleys of alleys are crisscrossed, like a huge maze.

Two 15 or 16-year-old boys with disheveled heads and drowsy faces each grabbed a few steamed cakes and ran down the street toward the East City in panting. Their trousers were covered with mud spots splashed under their feet.

More than a dozen beggars were chasing behind with sticks, shouting and scolding, and throwing rocks at the two of them from time to time.

The two teenagers were dressed very worn. Since they had not washed their faces for many days, they could not see their appearance clearly. They could only see that the teenager on the right was thin and tall, and ran faster. The teenager on the left was short and fat, and he was exhausted and sweating and panting after running for a while.

"I really can't run anymore, don't worry about me, I'll be beaten up if I get caught..." The fat man was so tired that he couldn't breathe, he stopped stroking his knees and gasping for a long time, raising his hand to wipe his sweat.

"I'm so fucking my shit, and I'm still fucking hard!" The thin boy grabbed the fat man who wanted to sit down.

The fat man refused to get up, but just pushed him with his hands and told him to run away first. The two of them pulled each other and shoved each other. In this way, the young man not only failed to pull the fat man up, but instead slipped and covered in mud.

In just this moment, the beggars chased after them and surrounded them, with anger on their faces. They rolled up their sleeves and rubbed their hands, as if they were eager to peel them alive.

"Damn it, isn't you able to run? Let's continue running..." A seemingly weak beggar gasped.

The boy let go of the fat man's wrist, stood up and looked around the beggars, and stopped when his eyes moved to the one-eyed beggar's head: "The room pot raised by the bitch, bah!"

The one-eyed beggar, known as the "chamber pot", slanted away from the thick phlegm spitting from the boy, with fierce eyes exposed, and shouted at the beggar who was ready to beat him: "Beat him to death!"

When the beggars heard the sound, they rushed towards the two of them like hungry wolf. Seeing this, the young man waved his fists to meet the beggar who was rushing to the front and punched him in the face. The other party screamed in pain and immediately squatted down with his nose covering his nose.

Seeing this, the boy kicked up again and kicked the other party directly over. At the same time, the other beggars had already fluttered up, one of them hugged him in the waist, and the other several punched and kicked each other.

Seeing that the boy was defeated, the fat man quickly got up and grabbed a beggar's hair and pulled him in front of him. After hitting him with a elbow, he hit the beggar who was holding the boy on the forehead.

"Down with the fat man who is in trouble first!" the chamber pot shouted loudly behind him.

When the beggars heard the sound, they targeted the fat man again. Youdao was very strong and strong. The fat man was wide and fat. Although he was not quick to move, his strength was surprisingly great. Two or three beggars got a good advantage from him, and he basically kicked him back in one meeting.

The boy was not as strong as the fat man, so he was quickly knocked down by two beggars. The two beggars didn't give him a chance to get up at all, and kicked him hard in the chest and abdomen. The boy was unable to get up and groaned.

Seeing that the boy was knocked down, the fat man roared and rushed towards the two beggars. A beggar next to him looked sharp-eyed and quick-witted. He took the opportunity to pounce on the side of the fat man and hugged his legs. The fat man was immediately tripped.

There were quite a few beggars who had just been defeated by the fat man's hands. When they saw the fat man falling to the ground, they thought of hitting the dog in the water. They rushed up and pressed the fat man and hit him. They felt that they were not strong enough to fist and kicked him, so they changed into wooden sticks.

The fat man overturned the gutter and wanted to get up and fight back, but he couldn't resist the number of people on the other side. The beggars slapped the sticks and swung them down. He lost his temper. He hugged his head and cried and shouted to his parents, curled up and turned around.

The sound of fighting has already alarmed the neighbors, and there have been many idle people gathering around.

The onlookers watched the fun, and no one helped, but the beggars didn't dare to beat the two to death in front of such a person.

Seeing that the two of them were covered with footprints and stick patterns and red marks, the beggars were willing to stop, turned over the two of them, and took out a few steamed cakes stained with mud from their arms.

"You two little bastards dare to appear on my territory again in the future, and I will break your legs!" The room pot looked fierce and fierce. He grabbed a wooden stick in his right hand and repeatedly hit the palm of his left hand, shouting and showing off his power.

"Die the chamber pot, rob my steamed cakes, and you are not afraid of choking you to death!" The boy supported the ground with his hands, gritted his teeth and turned over.

"You still dare to be stubborn!" The spit from the mouth of the chamber pot, and the young man was hit by the stick.

This stick hit the boy's face. The boy felt dizzy instantly, his eyes were filled with stars, and two heat flows were flowing down his nose with a soreness.

The room pot kept scolding. The boy was dizzy at this time and didn't hear what he was scolding. After recovering, he sat up and reached out to wipe off the blood from his nose. His expression was ferocious and he stared at the room pot fiercely.

"You dare to glar at me!" The room pot had long been used to his fierce look, and he shook his hand and made another stick.

The boy subconsciously tilted his head, but failed to avoid it completely. He was hit by the ear door. He immediately felt tinnitus and blurred eyes. It seemed that millions of poisonous bees were flapping their wings in their heads, and their eyes darkened and fainted.

"Slim-skinned monkey!" The fat man saw the boy fall to the ground, and hurriedly sat up and pulled the boy over.

Seeing the young man's ears bleeding, the fat man was shocked and his face suddenly turned ferocious. He didn't know where he had a lot of strength. He jumped up from the ground, swung his right fist quickly, and rushed towards the chamber pot like crazy.

The chamber pot was caught off guard and was hit by the fat man in the left eye. He suddenly felt dazzled and staggered back.

The beggars didn't expect that the fat man would suddenly attack. When they were stunned, they heard the wail of the room pot, and then they realized that they immediately rushed towards the fat man like a dozen evil dogs and pressed him to the ground.

"Take two of his eyes down for me!" The chamber pot covered his left eye and roared. His right eye was poked blind many years ago. At this time, his left eye was hit, tears rolling, and he couldn't see anything clearly.

The beggars hit the fat man again, and this time the attack was heavier than before, but no one dared to really sting his eyes.

A beggar next to him stared at the young man with white eyes, approached the chamber pot a little, and whispered: "Boss, that boy seems to be dead."

When the chamber pot heard this, he was shocked and rubbed his red left eye and approached the boy a little. Seeing his eyes turn white, his chest no longer fluctuated, and his face changed drastically.

The onlookers also saw some clues, and somebody shouted "I'm dead." The beggars were still beating the fat man, but when they heard this, they stopped immediately, turned their heads to look at the motionless boy, looked at each other, and turned their heads to look at the chamber pot.

"What do you think of me?" After a brief shock, Jade Po cursed at the minions. Seeing that everyone had not responded, he cursed again: "What a fool!" He turned around and ran away quickly.

The thief was gone, so the dog's legs naturally didn't want to stay, so they ran away. The road was too slippery, and the beggars ran too fast, pushing and shoving each other, and tripping a few more people.

The fat man was beaten to the point of bruising face. Seeing the beggars falling, he stood up and picked up some gravels and threw them around, breaking the foreheads of several people.

The beggars were in pain and just howled, and they had no intention of entangling with him anymore, rolling and crawling, quickly escaping from the scene.

Seeing that the situation was so big that the onlookers were afraid of being implicated, they did not dare to join in the fun, so they hurried back to the house and closed the doors.

After the beggars ran away, the fat man raised his hand and rubbed the big bag on his forehead and said to the young man, "Get up, they're walking away."

The boy did not respond.

The fat man only thought he was cautious, so he didn't care. He continued to rub his forehead and whispered pain. After a while, he saw that he had not moved yet, so he poked his feet and kicked him: "Get up."

The boy still didn't respond.

The fat man was deeply surprised and stretched out his finger to try his breath. After trying, his color suddenly changed. He felt like he was hit by five thunder, and his mind was blank.

After coming to his senses, the fat man caressed the body and cried bitterly, and the crying sounded like an old cow wailing, spreading far away.

"Crying?" A cold sound suddenly floated out of the alley next to the street.

Who?" The fat man suddenly became nervous when he heard the sound, turned his head to look at the deep alley.

The fat man turned his head and felt a flash in front of him, and a purple figure suddenly appeared in front of him.

The fat man was frightened and screamed, sat backward, looking at the person carefully.

The person who came was handsome and majestic. He was about his early thirties. He wore a clear lotus crown on his head, a Taoist robe with deep purple collars, and embroidered the Bagua on both sides, embroidered the Yin-Yang Tai Chi diagram on his back, and put on Yunlong's two-face shoes. He was very imposing and actually was a Taoist priest.

Seeing this person's appearance clearly, the fat man felt a little relieved and plucked up his courage and asked, "Are you a human or a ghost?"

"Where are ghosts coming from the sun in the sky? Of course I am a human being." The purple-robed Taoist priest walked to the young man and squatted down, reached out and pulled his left hand.

"What are you going to do?" The fat man was highly alert.

"Be a zombie for a while." The purple-robed Taoist priest didn't raise his head.

The fat man showed fear on his face and moved his butt backwards. Seeing that he was holding the boy's wrist and not letting go, he plucked up his courage and said, "Let him go."

"I'm dead, why do you care about him? Use the money to buy steamed cakes." The purple-robed Taoist priest looked at him sideways, took out a handful of Wuzhu coins from his arms and threw them to the fat man. Then he stopped looking at him, pressing the young man's left wrist three fingers in his right hand.

After a while, the purple-robed Taoist priest let go of the boy's left hand, pressed down his right hand and cun Guanqi, and said to himself: "Heart, liver, kidney, fire is strong, yin deficiency..."

The fat man did not listen carefully to the words of the purple-robed Taoist priest, but reached out to grab the Wuzhu coin and put it in his arms. His eyes rolled a few times. Seeing the Taoist priest staring at the young man with all concentration, he quietly reached out to touch a wooden stick left by the beggars.

"Why aren't you leaving yet?" The purple-robed Taoist priest let go of the boy's right wrist and turned his head to look at the fat man.

"Go to die!" The fat man suddenly pulled out a wooden stick from behind and swung it towards the back of the purple-robed Taoist priest.

The stick broke the wind and made a sound. The fat man thought that even if he beat the Taoist priest, he would have to be knocked unconscious.

Unexpectedly, the stick was suddenly blocked at the back of the Taoist priest Li Zi robe, and was bounced back by an invisible resistance. The rebound force was extremely strong, which made the fat man's arms sore and numb. The wooden stick even flew out of his hand and nailed it into the road for more than a foot deep.

The first time in his life, the fat man was so shocked that his face was deserted, his whole body was shaking like a sieve, and he said tremblingly: "Monster...Monster!"

The Taoist priest in purple robe glanced at the fat man with contempt.

The fat man was determined to escape at this time, but his calves kept trembling and he was disobedient at all. Moreover, he could not bear to give up his brother who shared worries and escape alone, so he could only keep shivering.
