Chapter 256 Captain, Lost!(2/2)

Further down, there is a stone bed and a stone cabinet.

This place seemed to be a living place with simple conditions but everything was lacking. Karen even saw a large can in the corner. Not surprisingly, this should be a "spittoon".

The night pearl floats upward, and there is a chandelier carved out of stone above. There should be oil in it, but it should not be lit now.

"The direction we came from may not be right. The entrance should be there." Karen pointed to the door on the wall on the other side.

Ophelia walked over and stretched out her hand to push open the door. Inside was a larger space with a row of tables and chairs, like a living room.

As the night pearl continued to float and illuminate more places, two figures appeared in front of it.

The appearance of these two figures put Ophelia and Karen into a defensive state instantly, but soon they both discovered that this was a false alarm. They were not people, but two humanoid stone sculptures.

Opposite the two human-shaped stone sculptures, there are two stone coffins.

"This is the statue of ancestor Bernard." Ophelia pointed to a stone sculpture and said, "This one looks so familiar."

Karen took a closer look and saw that it was a female stone sculpture.

The woman wears a hood, a gemstone necklace around her neck, a long skirt, boots, and a wand in her hand.

Isn’t this Pu’er!

"It's Pall," Karen said.

"Oh, yes, I have seen her statue in the palace of remembrance built by our ancestor Bernard for Ms. Pall. It is indeed her."

Karen's eyes noticed that the two hands of the stone sculpture were held together, like a couple standing close to each other.

This detail made Karen instinctively feel uncomfortable. If Ophelia hadn't been by his side, he would have smashed Bernard's statue directly.

Now, he can understand what Pu'er said about this person's annoying and disgusting emotions. Bernard is really a person who is absolutely narcissistic and disgusting.

"Are these two sarcophagi..." Ophelia looked at the two sarcophagi, "Do they symbolize that our ancestors Bernard and Ms. Pall will be buried together after their death?"

"You can open it and take a look." Karen suggested.

Ophelia hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Karen bent down, reached out and grabbed the edge of the sarcophagus lid, and began to push hard. There was a friction sound and a cloud of dust flying up.

Finally, Karen pushed the lid of the sarcophagus half open, and it was empty inside without a body.

"It should be symbolic." Ophelia reiterated her previous guess.

Without commenting, Karen came to the second sarcophagus, bent down, grabbed the coffin lid with both hands, and began to push it.

To Karen's surprise, this push didn't stir up as much dust as before.

This means that the sarcophagus has just been opened!

Who is it? Who is it?

Captain, is that you?

The captain has been here before? Where is the captain now?

After all, three people teleported here together, most likely the captain.

Karen pushed open the lid of the sarcophagus. The coffin was not empty. There was a female corpse lying inside.

The female corpse has been dehydrated and turned into a mummy, but it still retains some of its appearance in life, and its clothes are also robes of light.

"Not Ms. Pall," Ophelia said.

Nonsense, Pu'er should be sleeping on the big bed in the bedroom at this point, how could he lie here.

Karen shook his head and said, "It's his wife."

"His wife?"

"This is not a symbolic arrangement, it should be an arrangement by two families, implying the friendship and relationship between the two parties."

"Is he the one who left the note?"

Her uncle left two notes for her, one was from the ancestor Bernard, and the other was from "him", and "he" was the leader of this team of light believers.

"It should be." Karen pointed to Bernard's stone sculpture, "He is continuing their friendship in this way. Of these two stone sculptures, one represents Bernard himself, and next to it is Ms. Pall, who is Bell.

The woman Na Zi thinks should be his significant other.

Opposite, in the two coffins, should be 'him' and 'his' wife."

Ophelia noticed that Karen did not use the honorific when referring to "Bernard" this time, but she just took it for granted that Karen did not have a sense of belonging to her bloodline and Darkmoon Island.

In fact, Karen's inner dislike for Bernard has reached an extreme level.

How shameless a person must be to kill all his subordinates and his wife, and then set it up like this, playing a game of pretending to be a family member?

Really, so shameless.

"Only his wife?" Ophelia asked.

"He should have escaped and was not killed by Bernard."

"Escaped? Then the person you chased? Is he his descendant?"

"Now it seems that it is."

That "him" should be the descendant of the mad pope, that is, a member of the "Phileas" family. That man died at the bottom of the sea, and his body was discovered by the captain. The captain ate him, and to a certain extent interacted with him.

He merged together.

So it's not wrong to insist that the captain is "his" descendant.

In the past, Phileas led a large team of light believers to cooperate with Bernard and helped Bernard build Dark Moon Island. After that, Bernard killed them all.

Phileas's wife also died in this betrayal, and Phileas himself escaped.

Did he die in an accident when he was being chased after escaping, or did he die in an undersea cave after a while after escaping?

Karen had no way of knowing this.

But relying on the hints in the captain's "memory", Phileas must be this "him".

No wonder the captain was unwilling to wait all day. Even if he found out that the master was back, he still insisted on coming in to find this secret. The secret here was really very important to "him".

"The teleportation circle seems not to be here." Ophelia said, she was still more concerned about how to get back.

"It should be out from here, maybe outside. We came in through the back door before, and exiting here is the main entrance."

Karen gathered his emotions, pushed the coffin lid back and closed it, stood up, and motioned for Ophelia and himself to walk out.

There is a stone door outside. After pushing it open, the view outside instantly becomes clear. Here, we are facing Dark Moon Island.

There is a platform covered by trees outside, and you can clearly see the traces of pouring. The teleportation circle is right there!

"Someone!"

Ophelia sounded the reminder.

Karen also noticed that there was a man standing on the platform with a deer head on his head.

team leader!

Karen breathed a sigh of relief. The captain was waiting for him to go back with him. Okay, tonight's adventure or farce is over. He missed the soft bed in the hotel's standard room. He really should go to the hot spring tonight.

.

However, the next scene made Karen feel relieved instantly.

"Eliza, you left me, Eliza..."

Is the captain missing Miss Eliza?

"Jianfni, you left me, Jennifer..."

Jennifer?

Karen instinctively thought of the woman lying in the coffin she pushed open earlier.

At this time,

The captain turned to look at where Karen and Ophelia were.

A feeling of palpitations emerged from the bottom of Karen's heart. When the captain called out the strange woman's name "Jianfni", Karen knew that something was wrong.

The captain reached out and took off the deer head he was wearing.

What was exposed was not the face wrapped in black gauze, nor the captain's face, but a red and bloody face.

team leader,

Has taken off his mask.

The captain's eyes fell on Ophelia. He took a deep breath and said with a ferocious smile:

"It's the smell of Dark Moon's bloodline...yes...that's the smell...haha...Dark Moon...should die...Dark Moon's bloodline...should be extinct!"

team leader,

lost.
