Glazed fire

On the night of parting, there is no moon, and it is so dark that it makes people feel desperate.

The strong wind slapped the wooden window unrestrainedly, and a piece of the window paper was broken. Before there was time to repair it, I am afraid that no one would repair it in the future. The wind shuttled through the hole and made a crying sound.

The palace maid Aman put the last piece of clothing into the bag and looked up at the door in panic. The emperor was standing in the courtyard, with his long hair being blown so wildly that he was curled up, and his long embroidered sleeves were like a pair of wings waiting to be broken.

She walked over hesitantly, put the heavy cloak on Princess' thin shoulders, and whispered: "Princess, it's time, let's go."

Emperor Ji nodded, and her fair hand poked out from her long sleeves, pointing to the pink and white red all over the courtyard, and her voice was very soft: "Aman, look, the crabapple flowers are in bloom. But my father and mother will never see you again."

Aman said softly: "Princess, you are still young, don't think so much. Let's go quickly."

Emperor Ji looked quietly at the red petals all over the ground. The wind rolled them up and threw them into her arms like flying snow. It was obviously May weather, but it suddenly became cold. The tender and weeping crabapple that had just bloomed could not withstand the wind and rain. It drooped a large area, leaving the branches miserably and committed to the soil.

"Aman, the country is destroyed. Why can't I protect myself with my father and the others until death? Shouldn't I stay?"

Aman was almost crying, and he forced himself to show a smile: "The princess is only fourteen years old, and her life will still grow in the future. The emperor and the queen only hope that you can live your life safely."

Emperor Ji shook her head slowly, turned around and held a weeping crabapple that was about to wither in her palm, and carefully put it into her purse.

"Aman, can I take a look here again?" Emperor Ji asked in a low voice.

Aman secretly wiped away his tears and said in a trembling voice: "Okay... look again..."

Before he finished speaking, a meteor-like fire suddenly flashed through the air, with a sharp whistling sound, and it hit the palace. With a bang, the glazed tiles on the roof of Emperor Jinfang Palace shattered, and the fire fell like rain, mixed with tiles and dust.

Aman screamed: "They want to set fire to the imperial city! Princess! It will be too late if you don't leave!"

Without waiting for the Emperor to answer, Aman grabbed her arm and ran away desperately towards the secret path behind the palace.

Emperor Ji was thin and weak, running in the wind, stumbled and almost fell down. The thorny branches in the mountain stretched out randomly, and it was a blood mark on her face. Her face was covered in sweat, and suddenly she couldn't help but look back. There were countless meteor-like flames in the sky, falling into the imperial city.

It was like there was fire burning in the glass, and the imperial city became crystal clear in the fire, and it was about to melt.

Accompanied by the meteor-like rain of fire fell into the imperial city, countless strange birds two or three people tall, with red heads, as if they were condensed with blood. The shrill crying in the imperial city was sent to his ears by the strong wind. Aman could no longer support him, and knelt on the ground with his face covering his face and cried bitterly.

That is a red-headed ghost, a man-eating demon.

The thin blood slid from the corner of Emperor Ji's lips. She bit her lips tightly. The huge pain in her body almost made her powder. As if she could no longer bear it, she suddenly shook Aman's hand and rushed down the mountain.

After a few steps, Aman grabbed her from behind and hugged her. The branches broke all over the ground. The princess was like a wounded beast, shaking almost torn apart, and her face was covered with mud.

She didn't know how long she had struggled, and slowly she had no strength. A huge emptiness and fear appeared from the deepest part of her soul. She thought she would die, but she couldn't die. She opened her mouth and wanted to cry, but she could only let out intermittent gasps.

She must watch tonight everything she has been destroyed and her soul is slashed with a knife. She cannot be weak or look back.

Aman felt that the power of struggle in his arms was gradually weakening, and Emperor Ji was lying in her arms and never moved again. She wiped her tears hard, took out the handkerchief from her arms, pushed away Emperor Ji's hair, and wiped the mud on her face for her.

In the firelight, Emperor Ji's face was as pale as a ghost. Her once beautiful and lively spirit is now only trance and disgrace. She closed her eyes tightly, her long thick eyelashes trembled. After a long time, a huge teardrop rolled down from it.

When it was almost dawn, Emperor Ji woke up.

"Aman, let's go." She didn't cry anymore, her tone was plain, but her eyes were covered with blood.

Aman looked at her worriedly: "Princess, please let me carry you. You can rest."

Emperor Ji shook her head, took out two pieces of white paper from her sleeve, bit her fingertips and dripped her blood, and then threw it to the ground, and the white paper instantly turned into two horses.

She turned over the horse and lifted the reins, and the horse immediately made a loud neigh.

"Go down the mountain and find a place to stay."

Seeing her calm expression, Aman felt a sense of worry in his heart, and hesitated and whispered: "Princess... what are you thinking?"

Emperor Ji turned around and smiled at her. A shallow dimples rippled on her cheeks, reflecting the slightly blue morning light. She seemed to have become the delicate and charming little princess she used to be.

"Aman, don't worry, I will survive." Live until the day I deserve to die.

The horse spread its four hooves and walked down the mountain.

"Princess, where are we going?"

"Go to a place where there is no war."
