Chapter 923(2/2)

The Star Destroyer hovered above the altitude.

Rennes sat in the bridge and looked down at the demon tribe on the earth.

Houses made of rocks and logs stretch for more than ten miles. Outside the tribe is an endless plain. There is a low hilly area dozens of miles eastward, covered with dense forests. As long as you pass through the forest and go a hundred miles ahead, it is the east coast of the New World.

This tribe is Raleigh City.

During the Elf Empire period, Raleigh City did not have much prominent features and was not very famous.

Its only advantage is its location, which is just the midpoint of the eastern part of the New World, and it is a must-pass place connecting the major north-south transportation routes.

There are high walls built outside the Kurges tribe. Although they are very rough and only ten meters high, they seem to have been built urgently recently, but they are very wide and strong. If the Duke Guard attacks from the ground, it will take some effort to break through this city wall.

There are also lines of defense built inside the tribe, all of which are made of rocks and compacted soil, and fire-proof treatment is carried out.

Many deep and long winding trenches were also dug on the ground outside the city wall, and iron-repelling horses and tall fences were built.

These arrangements cannot stop the Duke Guard from advancing, but can consume ammunition.

At the same time, teams of abyss knights spread out for ten miles, patrolling and reconnaissance day and night. The entire tribe was under high alert. Every demon's face was full of tension and fear, and the psychological defense line collapsed tightly, as if it would break at any time.

Rennes couldn't help but laugh as he looked at the fortifications and troops.

War is indeed the biggest driving force for technological progress!

In just one month, the demons evolved from the most primitive Knights' charge to a preliminary understanding of how to set up defenses, barely reaching the level of war in the 19th century on Earth. Such fortifications combined with the powerful individual strength of the demons, if they were placed on the battlefield of the First World War, it would be impossible to conquer without more than ten times the army.

But in the face of the Duke Guard's attack, these messy and unsystematic fortifications have little effect.

Ren again confirmed that there were no ambushes in and around the tribe.

Then issue the order:

"attack!"
