Chapter 84 Magic Extension(1/2)

The headquarters of the Mechanical Union is in the Los District where the civilian working class gathers.

The Loss District and Honeyton District are built along the Ferlegron River, one in the south and one in the north, facing the Silver Star District, and the former apartment of Rennes is not far from the Machinery Union.

The car rushed all the way and arrived at the mechanical union in less than twenty minutes.

Pollock jumped out of the car before he could stop and wanted to rush in.

Rennes and Frida followed behind.

It was his first time to come to the Mechanical Union. When he looked up, he saw a building worth more than ten stories high, nearly a hundred meters high. It stands out in Longshande City, second only to the Wizard Tower.

There are several buildings at the foot of the building, all of which are large factories that are only one floor high, with bursts of roaring machines coming from it.

When Renn saw this layout, he immediately remembered the large manufacturing factory in his previous life.

At the gate of the union, two human-shaped mechanical puppets more than three meters high stood on the left and right.

They are all silver-gray, and their shells are made of metal. They are leaning on a giant sword in both hands. They are majestic, heavy and solemn, and extremely deterrent.

Pollock approached the door, and the eyes of the two puppets immediately lit up red lights. There was a vague sound of gears rotating inside, and white steam spewed out from behind. He raised the giant sword extremely quickly and attacked each other. With a "clang" sound, it blocked the way.

"Please stop."

"Show your share."

A stiff sound came from the head of the mechanical puppet without any slight feeling.

Pollock quickly took two steps back, took out his Demon Elimination Team's card, and shouted loudly: "Demon Elimination Team does things, hurry up and get out of here."

The mechanical puppet on the left turned his gaze and looked at the card, seemingly unable to recognize it, standing still.

A superman in uniform and guarded form hurriedly ran out from behind the gate.

Pollock threw the card to him and shouted, "I want to see your president in an emergency case, open the door."

The guard only glanced at Jika and his face changed slightly.

"Yes." He didn't dare to delay, so he took out a metal box from his pocket, pressed it on the box, and the two mechanical puppets immediately returned to their original position.

At the same time, the door of the mechanical union opened quickly.

Pollock quickly grabbed the card and rushed into the building.

The sound of rapid footsteps in the lobby on the first floor attracted the attention of the busy people. Pollock rushed to the front desk and asked quickly to the person behind the counter: "Where is Travic? Is he still in the union?"

The one who was asked by Pollock was a young woman in her twenties, with a neat work outfit and a beautiful face. She was shocked by the situation and thought something big had happened, so she almost ran away.

Pollock had no choice but to hold up his card again.

"We are from the Demon Elimination Team, who knows Travic's whereabouts?" He raised his voice so that everyone in the hall could hear it.

After a few seconds of silence around, someone finally replied: "Mr. Travic left in the morning and has not come back yet."

Pollock looked at the man who was replying and asked, "Are you sure?"

"Yes." The man was very sure, as if he was also a mechanic: "I saw him leaving with my own eyes. He left early before he could finish get off work, so he was very impressed."

“āo)!”

Pollock couldn't help but curse. Obviously, Travic noticed the abnormality and had already escaped.

A level 5 mechanic, who is hiding in a large city with a population of millions, is too difficult to find.

If this fallen person cannot be found in time, the consequences will be unimaginable.

"The idiots in the security team can't even investigate anyone secretly. Not only did they not find out the problem, they exposed themselves." Pollock did not curse when he thought of the serious consequences that Travic might have caused.

Rennes next to him was no longer confused.

Travic's curse had been on the ground for at least two months. He had been lurking for so long and must have had some intentions. Maybe he had used his position in the Mechanical Union to do something shameful.

He can handle clues at home, but it won't work in the union.

He noticed the exposure in the morning and immediately fled home. He had no time to deal with clues in the union and did not dare to make big moves, so as not to be caught by the mechanical union.

Renn looked behind the counter and asked, "Where is Travic's office?"

"Fifth floor, turn left and turn left on the first room."

When Pollock heard the conversation between the two, he immediately reacted and took the lead in rushing into the elevator.

With a bang, the door was knocked open.

Travic's office is quite small. In addition to a luxurious table and chair, there are also several large cabinets filled with books and materials.

Rennes and the other two went through the cabinets, hoping to find something useful.

"What are you doing?" A middle-aged man appeared at the door of the office and was about to question him sternly, but his tone changed, "Ren, why are you here?"

"Mr. Kenegi."

Renne put down the drawer in his hand and quickly explained: "I am now a member of the Demon-Eliminating Team. Travic's curse broke out and became a fallen man. He has escaped. We are looking for clues of his whereabouts."

Kenegi wanted to reminisce about the past with Rennes, but when he heard this, his expression changed drastically: "Has Travic fallen? Are you sure?"

"More than 90%, we just came from his house, and there were no living people there." Ren replied.

"What is this, it's useless." Pollock threw away the pile of books in his hand. He looked at Kenegi and asked unhappily: "Who are you? What's your relationship with Travic?"

"I am the vice president of the Mechanical Union." Kenegi maintained his demeanor. "Travic is my subordinate. He has little private interactions, but he is still familiar." He recalled a few seconds and continued: "Five months ago, Travic exploded while repairing a magic airship. He was seriously injured and recuperated for two months before returning."

The meaning in Kenegi's dialect is very clear, and Travic should have fallen into that story.

"Five months ago..." Pollock was very dissatisfied, "He was injured and returned to work for so long, and you haven't noticed that he has any problems?"

Kenegi spread his hands, "We are a mechanical union, not a demon-eliminating team, anyway, he has no problems at work."

Pollock was angry, but he also knew that if an extraordinary fallen man was deliberately hiding, it would be difficult to discover.

The mechanical union has certain responsibility in this matter, but it is not the main factor.

Renn quickly smoothed out the situation and said, "Mr. Kenegi, you are more familiar with Travic. Where do you think he will hide?"

"I have no idea."

Kenegi thought for a while and waved, "But I have a way, you guys come with me."

The three followed Kenegi to the second floor and entered a spacious room. As soon as they came in, everyone was attracted by a huge machine.

This machine is very large in size, occupying almost half of the room, and is composed of countless parts, including gears, columns, rockers, and shafts, tens of thousands. Each part is grinding brightly and shining with metallic light. They are neatly assembled in rows, and are tightly tied together, and finally become a complex and precise mechanical instrument!

The moment Renn saw this mechanical instrument, he recognized it.

"Differential machine? Or analysis machine?"

On Earth in his previous life, someone created a semi-finished differential machine, which was displayed in museums with several replicas, and more advanced analytical machines only exist on the drawings, but in Alan Ershi, this mechanical computer has entered the field of application.

Renn observed with wide eyes and soon found that it was very different from the difference machine I remembered.

This instrument is not purely mechanical. It is connected to a steam engine and provides power. This steam engine does not burn coal, but some kind of expensive magic crystal ore.

The surface of the steam engine is covered with runes and patterns, emitting magical energy.

This energy not only provides the amount of the steam engine, but also divides a part of it and flows along the pipeline to the huge machinery, which is unknown for what it is used for.

"Is a differential machine that combines machinery and magic?"

Rennes was very curious about what this machine could be used for.

Next to the mechanical instrument is a table, and there are two people who look like āo) workers sitting. They are all mechanics in their souls.

Seeing Kenegi come in, the two of them raised their heads and said respectfully: "Your Excellency Vice President."

"Well, sit down." Kenegi pulled out a white card from his jacket. There were many small holes on one side of the card, and Kenegi's avatar and brief information were printed on it.

He handed over the card and ordered: "Change out Travic's work files for the last three months, including all the documents and travel records he handled."

"Yes." The mechanic took the card and inserted it into the card slot in front of him.

His lips moved slightly, as if he was silently reciting some spell.

The sound was low and Rain didn't have time to listen carefully, but he just vaguely heard a few sentences: "The big bell rings... pushes the lever... injects life... sings in unison, praise..."

Then, he pushed the rocker on the side.

Buzzing...

The magic light shone, the energy flowed, the steam engine roared, pushing the piston to do work, the power was transmitted to the differential machine, driving the machine, rows of gears of all sizes rotated, parts engraved with numbers rolled and flew, and huge mechanical instruments made regular metal impact sounds.

Click click click...

The sound is as dense as raindrops. This is not music, but it sounds like a strange and pleasant feeling.

For a moment, the whole room vibrated slightly.

Looking at this dazzling scene, Renne's heartbeats a few beats faster, and inexplicably felt a kind of mechanical beauty, and he was a little intoxicated!

Not only him, Pollock and Frida were also shocked and speechless.

Kenegi saw the reactions of the three of them, and his eyes showed a little pride.

The mechanic flipped out a book, opened the page, and seemed to be looking for something, then quickly pressed it on the stage and entered a series of numbers.

The machine ran continuously for more than ten seconds and stopped with a bang.
To be continued...
