Chapter 927 How long will our air force be able to strike

One after another, Sherman tanks were either destroyed on the battlefield by German tank guns and anti-tank guns, or bombed by German bomber groups and fighter groups.

The fire and smoke intertwined each other, and the scenes of tank wars with great graphic colors and the war scenes of mechanized blitzkrieg battles were amazed by war enthusiasts or were fascinated by the sight.

However, for the British army, they were the biggest losers in this battle, while the biggest winner was the German army commanded by Guderian.

Looking at the battlefield covered with many wreckages of British armored vehicles and tanks, as well as the British troops who were paralyzed on the road waiting for repairs and surrenders, as well as the British tanks destroyed on the road, burning with fiery red smoke, floating on the battlefield, adding the sadness of war and the aura of death.

After breaking through the British defense line commanded by William Joseph Slim, the German mechanized troops commanded by Guderian immediately allowed their elite troops to continue pursuing and attacking the remaining elite troops of the British army that were evacuating. They even prepared to attack Tehran, the capital of Iran, in one breath, because there was only less than two or three days left from their current battlefield.

The rapid progress of the blitzkrieg of the mechanized troops commanded by Guderian in Iran was completely beyond the estimates of the British and all British senior officials; including the US troops who were dispatching reinforcements and the Soviet troops who were preparing to watch the tiger fight, they also felt threats and fears.

Moreover, once the British army is defeated and collapsed by the German army, or is completely wiped out by the German army, it will be a disastrous day for them, and their fate will definitely not be better than that of the British army.

Whoever told them that the three countries are now grasshoppers on the same boat, and whoever dies will not have any special benefits to the other two teammates.

"The British army has been defeated by Guderian. Should we attack and support now?"

Operational staff officer Archibry said anxiously to McNair, who graduated from the Army Military Academy.

McNair, however, was silently browsing all the important battle reports from the front line in his hands.

At this moment, he and his original historical experience were both promoted to brigade general of the army in 1937, and later served as brigade commander of the Second Field Artillery Brigade.

Then in 1940 he served as the dean of the Command and Staff Academy and the Chief of Staff of the Operations Training Department of the U.S. General Command; he was later promoted to Lieutenant General, served as Marshall's assistant, and served as commander of the Army's ground forces.

However, now he did not become the commander of the First Army Group in 1944 as in his original history, and followed the Allies of Britain, the United States, the Soviet Union and other countries to land in Normandy.

In other words, he did not have one of the senior US generals who were killed by indiscriminate artillery bombardment by his own U.S. troops during the Normandy landing battle.

And he was also a high-ranking general who was bombarded with blood and could not tell his appearance. That tragic way of death was something that McNair did not expect when he dreamed during his lifetime.

"Commander McNair! Please give instructions! William Joseph Slim, the new British commander, has made urgent requests to us many times!"

"And he also got the consent of Commander Eisenhower, so..."

Seeing that he did not receive McNair's response immediately, combat staff officer Archibry continued to urge the other party in a hurry.

"Well! How long will our Air Force take off?"

But McNair was not in a hurry at all, raised his head and stared at the combat staff officer Archibry and asked back.

"Ah! Our Air Force?"
