Chapter 1 A vixen appeared on the outskirts of the city

Midnight, dark clouds are in the sky, half a crescent moon is hidden behind the clouds, the cold moonlight in the past seems a bit strange and gloomy tonight

The fog is floating on the mass grave. In the cold night wind, the dark green phosphorus fires float and undulate among the graves, illuminating the drizzling bushes around.

The black and red shrubs seem to have dried up, and the dark red vines on the tree are twisted like blood vessels tightly, like hideous and terrifying leeches constantly sucking the blood of the tree.

"rustle"

The faint sound of footsteps came from the dry grass. In the mist, a young scholar wearing a blue and white scholar's shirt and carrying a bookcase was walking towards the mass grave with a lantern in a hurry.

The scholar is about twenty years old, with a tall figure, a pretty and handsome face, but his face is pale, his hair is a little messy, and his expression is even more faintly exhausted. Obviously, it is not easy to walk along the way.

"Woo" A night wind blew, and the scholar had a cold war, and the dim flames in the lantern in his hand trembled. He quickly stopped, stretched out his arms to protect the lantern with his wide sleeves, so as not to be blown out by the night wind

When the night wind passed, the scholar breathed a sigh of relief, raised his arm, wiped the sweat stains on his forehead with his sleeve, and looked around.

But at this glance, he couldn't help but feel frightened

What place is this? The gloomy fog, the faint phosphorus fire, the weird shrubs and withered vines, the standing graves, the broken tombstones

All of this was filled with strange horror, and it seemed that at some point, I had already stepped into the underworld.

The scholar was frightened and looked around for a while. Then he gritted his teeth and took a deep breath of air conditioning, forced himself to cheer up, held the lantern, and walked forward tremblingly.

"Qua!"

Suddenly, a strange scream came from the night sky, followed by a black nighthawk flying upwards and flew quickly toward the distance.

The scholar was startled and stopped in a hurry. He looked around in horror. After a while, he finally confirmed that there was nothing wrong with it. Then he continued to step forward tremblingly.

But just as he stepped out his leg, a "rustling" sound suddenly came from the grass behind him. The scholar froze all over, and beads of sweat as big as beans on his forehead slowly dripped. Before he could pluck up his courage, he saw a huge dark shadow spreading from behind, as if a huge monster was slowly standing up behind him.

The scholar was extremely frightened, his body trembled like a sieve, his upper and lower teeth were chugging straight, and as he watched the shadows under his feet grow bigger and closer, his eyes widened, as if he was about to explode.

Soon, the rustling sound in the grass was getting closer and closer, as if the monster was slowly walking towards the scholar. He could no longer hold it back, and he suddenly burst out from some corner of his body. He screamed so hard, raised his legs and rushed forward.

But I don't know if he was not lucky or uneasy, so he didn't even obey his hands and feet. The scholar had just run two steps and tripped under his feet. He fell to the ground with a "bang" sound, and even the lantern in his hand was thrown out.

"Uh!" The scholar groaned, and lay on the ground, unable to get up for a moment.

Looking up, the shadow was getting closer and closer. The scholar turned around in panic, supported the ground with his hands, and used force to his hips. While retreating to avoid the shadow behind him, he closed his eyes tightly and did not dare to open his eyes to see.

"Don't eat me, don't eat me, I'm not delicious, I'm not delicious." The scholar closed his eyes, begged silently, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead

"Squeak!" Just when the scholar was extremely frightened, a crisp chirping came from his body.

The scholar was stunned for a moment, and froze all over. Then he squinted his eyes carefully and vigilantly. He saw a fox with a sharp face and a round ear, a fluffy tail, and a snow-white fur that was only one foot wide, tilting his head and looking at him curiously.

The scholar blinked and stared at the white fox in a daze.

The white fox was also strange, as if he was not afraid of people. When he saw the scholar looking at him, he also stared at the scholar, and his eyes seemed to be full of curiosity.

One person and one fox actually looked at each other for half a stick of incense, and no one moved

"Huh!" Finally, the scholar reacted first. After breathing a long sigh, his whole body was soft on the ground like a mud. At the same time, he raised his hand and patted his chest while talking to himself with a glee: "I'm scared to death. Fortunately, it's not a monster or a ghost!"

The scholar murmured to himself a few words, turned his head to look at the ground not far away, the candlelight in the lantern was dim and seemed to be about to be extinguished. He quickly forced himself to hold up, climbed over and picked up a lantern, picked up a branch from the ground, picked up the candlelight, and saw that the flames stabilized, he breathed a sigh of relief, wiped the cold sweat on his forehead, turned around and looked at the white fox.

Thinking of his previous shameful appearance, he was very embarrassed and raised his lantern to swing back and forth towards the white fox, cursing: "Die fox, get out, get out soon."

The white fox was startled by the flames in the lantern, and his whole body bounced back. Under the moonlight, his silver-white hair exploded like a hedgehog.

When it came to its senses, its curious eyes changed suddenly, becoming cold and ferocious, staring at the scholar fiercely. At the same time, its whole body was half lying on the ground, grinning like a bloodthirsty beast, revealing two rows of white fangs dripping with saliva, and a horrifying "woo" roar was heard in its throat.

The scholar's hand holding the lantern froze. Seeing the originally cute white fox suddenly become ferocious, especially the coldness and bloodthirsty pupils in his upright pupils, he shivered violently, and for a moment he didn't dare to move forward, let alone drive away the lanterns.

Fortunately, he is tall and the white fox is only more than one foot long. Seeing that he has not moved, the white fox did not take the initiative to attack.

This man and a fox actually started to confront each other like this

After a while, just as the scholar's arms began to numb, the white fox's nose suddenly swayed slightly, as if he could smell something. It hesitated for a moment, grinned and roared at the scholar like intimidation, then turned around and ran toward the distance, and disappeared into the grass in the blink of an eye.

"Huh! I'm scared!" As soon as the white fox left, the scholar immediately breathed a sigh of relief, felt weak all over, and sat on the ground, raised his cuffs and wiped the cold sweat on his head.

"It's so evil!" He said a few words, and suddenly laughed, laughing and shook his head: "Hey, Mr. I have taught you a long time ago. I don't say that the strange powers are in chaos. There are no monsters in this world. It seems that Mr. said that I don't have enough experience and need to be trained. It's really right. I was scared by a little fox and dared not move. Fortunately, no one saw it, otherwise I would have to be laughed to death."

The scholar shook his head and smiled for a while, took out the kettle from the bookcase behind him, fed a few mouthfuls, stood up and packed his things, ready to continue on the way.

At this moment, a giggle suddenly came from not far away from him: "Young Master, are you afraid of ghosts?"

The scholar was stunned for a moment, his body seemed to be frozen. He took a lot of effort to twist his neck and saw a woman wearing white clothes, tall hair, fluttering clothes, slender waist and long legs, and graceful appearance appeared beside him at some point, so close that she could see her reflection from the other person's pupils.

The scholar stared at the woman blankly for a while. At the beginning, the woman looked at him generously, but slowly, as if she was embarrassed to be seen, she lowered her head shyly, raised a white jade-like little hand to gently swept her hair, and said coquettishly: "Young Master, you look at me like this, so rude!"

But the scholar did not hear it, his eyes were straight, as if he was stunned. Just as the woman's face turned red and he was about to speak again, the scholar suddenly let out a scream like a pig-killing cry: "Ghost!"

As soon as he shouted the two words, he saw him rolling his eyes and falling straight backwards. He was shocked and fainted.

His voice was really shocking, and he was crying. The originally quiet and dead mass grave was actually called alive by his voice. There were a large group of birds sleeping at night. In the low grass, small animals such as rabbits and voles were running around. It is not an exaggeration to say that they were in chaos.

The woman was so scared that she turned pale because she was very close to the scholar. She took a few steps to stand firm.

"You" waited for the woman to come back to her senses, and she showed an angry look on her face. She had already fainted on the ground. She couldn't help but be stunned. Then her eyes turned, as if she had figured out something, and laughed out loud, shook her head and walked slowly towards the scholar.
