881 Despair continues

"Let Stalin go hell!" A German soldier stood in the carriage of a train, muttering in a low voice at Moscow with thick smoke in the distance.

Under him, outside the train's sheath, a built-in crane was lifting a huge shell and stuffing it into the tail of the train cannon not far ahead.

Loading a shell, especially a large caliber shell, is a very troublesome thing. Sometimes you have to clean the cannon chamber, which is very cumbersome.

The soldiers cleaned the cannon chambers that fired the shells in an orderly manner, and waited for the next shell to be loaded into it.

The range of left and right artillery, especially the cannons that are loaded with ammunition, is on the one hand the pitch angle of the cannon, and on the other hand, it is the charge.

The firing charges that have been produced one piece at a time can be determined by the loading quantity.

Of course, if necessary, it can also exceed the rated charge, and occasionally risk the explosion of the chamber, pursuing a long-range attack that exceeds the theoretical range.

However, such an attempt has certain risks. Maybe it will blow up the chamber. If done, it will cause a certain degree of damage to the artillery, such as wear of the rifle.

Seeing that the cannon was loaded, several German soldiers closed the heavy bolts, and the train cannon was ready for all the preparations before firing.

Their goal was very clear, which was to use train cannons to bombard the Red Square in the distance, bringing a heavy blow to the Soviets on the spiritual level.

"The correction is completed! It's time to open fire!" A soldier compared the shelling report the day before the reconnaissance plane sent back and said to the officer in front of him.

The officer checked the photos he had obtained and nodded, as if he agreed to the firing this time.

"Fire!" The gunman issued a loud order to fire. The front end of the train cannon, which was towering like a chimney, sprayed out a thick black smoke the next second.

A deafening roar followed, which was why everyone covered their ears.

This is a giant cannon with a caliber of 280 mm. Of course, each cannon is shaking. The huge shells have to leap at least 30 kilometers and land near Red Square in Moscow.

The shells flew in the sky and then teared the air around them. It flew down and upward, but the speed became slower and slower.

In the end, the action of gravity could not be overcome, and the rising speed of the shell finally stopped and began to fall rapidly downwards.

"Oh...Woo..." In the sky, as the shells fell, the sharp sound made everyone bend down and bow their heads.

The Soviets had known it for a long time that the unique and sharp sound was a giant shell fired by German train cannons, which was amazingly powerful.

The next second, the shell soared into the sky and hit a building next to Red Square, breaking through the ceiling and exterior walls of the building.

Immediately afterwards, with his powerful kinetic energy, the shell smashed the building blocking the road, and then suddenly hit a clearing ground behind the building.

It took about a second before the explosion began to occur. The huge wave of air shattered half of the remaining body of the building, and rubble and broken glass flew everywhere, drifting everywhere.

A hundred meters away from the explosion center, gravel and gravel fell down, hitting the Soviet soldiers' helmets, making a crackling sound.

It was like a rain of soil. Many people got up from the ground and dusted off their bodies to be in a mood to see the explosion.

A huge crater immediately appeared on the ground there, which was a huge conical crater with heat rising inside.

"Fill it! We need rubble! Move faster!" A Soviet officer pointed at the big pit and shouted to his subordinates.

He commanded not the soldiers, but the old men and women wearing civilian clothes nearby. They bent and trembled, filling the gravel and rubble with various tools into the pit, trying to repair the street.

On the Moscow Red Square in the distance, the Kremlin has collapsed halfway, and black smoke is everywhere, as if it is the end of the world.

As the German railway guns began to join the sequence of bombardment of Moscow, the Kremlin, the iconic building of Moscow, became the focus of attention.

The German army had to shell a few shells almost every day, so the current situation of the Kremlin was very bad. Khrushchev almost dared to look at the collapsed parts, as if he did not dare to read the war report.

"The German army has shelled again! This is not Smolensk, nor is this Minsk! This is Moscow! How can you let the enemy shell our great Kremlin? Ah?" Khrushchev felt the vibration above his head and shouted at his generals.

The battle to fight back and drive the Germans out of Moscow failed. Even if it succeeded, it would not prevent the German army from bombarding Red Square with trains deployed behind the suburbs.

"I can only go out for one hour a day now, and for safety I can only stay in the basement!" Because I rarely see the sun, Khrushchev's face was a little sickly pale.

He knocked on the table and shouted loudly. The power instability caused by the vibration made the lights on his head flicker.

Most urban areas have been powered and water outages due to German bombing and endless shelling, and only a few places still have electricity to use.

For example, the Kremlin underground air defense command uses electricity from independent generators. So there is still electricity here, and the fuel reserved is enough to generate electricity.

"Try to stop them! If they are allowed to fight like this, Moscow will be in ruins!" After saying this, Khrushchev looked at Konev in front of him with an unhappy expression.

Konev was also helpless. He could not command the troops to fight back and repel the Germans 50 kilometers away.

If he could do this, then he would have long been a national hero in Russia. Do you still have to stand here and listen to Khrushchev's fingers?

The current situation of the war is only left to stick to this path, so the only thing that can answer Khrushchev's roar is that there is endless sinking.

Khrushchev also knew that he had no solution besides venting. So he could only let the explosion shake come from his head and sat back on his chair dejectedly.

Another shell flew over dozens of kilometers and hit the buildings near Red Square in Moscow. The buildings here are too dense, so it is difficult to lose the shell.
