Chapter 98 Slaughter

Because of Qin Lun's disappearance, the members of the exploration team did not rest after destroying the Drow Elves. When they retreated to the original tunnel entrance, no one could hold on anymore, and even the apostles immediately fell into a deep sleep as soon as they closed their eyes.

When everyone woke up, another half of the day had passed. After eating quickly, Ilistin sent them back to the other side of the deep groove underground again, while she, Gillim, Idriya, and Mastasha would continue to stay in the pit, monitoring the gray dwarfs while searching for Qin Lun's traces.

Perhaps because they achieved their respective mission goals, the dwarves and the apostles were very happy, and their return was particularly brisk. However, when they returned to the maze fortress, this happy mood disappeared.

After the previous battle, the Minotaur told the dwarves the portal that directly leads to the fortress hall, so that they don’t have to go too far when passing through this plain.

When the dwarves came to the hall of the maze again through the straight road, they were stunned by the tragic scene in front of them. The hall that had been cleaned was now covered with the remains and blood of the Minotaur. This time, even the young Minotaurs were not spared.

Hill saw the little Maverick who had pointed Qin Lun to the exploration team at a glance. It knelt on the ground, with its neck empty, and its hands were specially folded on its thighs, holding its little head on it.

The originally watery big eyes were now silent, staring blankly at the dwarves coming in from the rear portal.

"Moladin is on top, what's going on here?" A dwarf axe thrower raised his head and pointed at the hall in shock, "Look at it..."

During the last battle, the lava flame dragon issued by Romon and Rand, who worked together to fight against one of the Drow priests' time and space magic, and a big hole was opened at the top of the hall.

Now the edge of the big hole is hanging only two adult minotaurs. Their limbs and heads are tied into a "big" shape by chains, and their chest and abdomen are broken. The white ribs are opened to both sides, and open diagonally with the clavicle as the axis, like a pair of strange-shaped bone wings.

The two minotaurs face each other, their heads were carefully cured, and their skin and flesh on their faces were shaved, and their upper and lower jaws were stretched open.

Their skulls, horns, and even canine teeth were carefully washed, without any dirt sticking to it. The pale cow head skull drooped slightly, and the hollow eye holes made everyone unable to help but feel palpitations and left their eyes away.

"This is..." Looking at the remains of these two miraculous monsters that imitated the angel, Rand's pupils shrank and he looked at Hill.

"No doubt, this is his work." Hill sighed, "It seems that he is ahead of us every time, and now I just hope..."

"Where are our people?" Just as Hill had not finished speaking, the shocked dwarves suddenly recalled something and screamed.

If the Minotaurs encounter danger, the dwarves will definitely come to support them. One of these two races is the chaotic neutral camp and the other is the orderly and kind camp, but they are really similar in terms of personality.

Most of them are generous and unruly, not care about the details, and are loyal to their promises. Once they treat others as friends, they will definitely give their whole heart. The dwarves have rescued the Minotaur before, which is a kindness, but the Minotaur agrees that the dwarves camp at the edge of the nest. The two can be said to be close friends and full of love.

If the Minotaur is attacked, the dwarves will never sit idly by unless they are all dead.

However, there is also a strange place, and there is no dwarf's body in the hall.

After realizing this, the dwarves of the exploration team were anxious and could no longer calm down. They quickly restrained the Minotaur's body and ran to the outpost camp with the apostles outside the maze fortress.

"Will the Minotaur's corpse be made into that shape, is it a ritual?" asked Lolita, the female apostle of Weiss' team.

"Did you mean that the Drow Elves have come back?" Weiss frowned. There were not many races using sacrificial rituals in the dungeon. The biggest possibility is the Drow Elves.

"But those drow elves only escaped three in the end. Except for the priest who used the portal to escape, the other two were wounded. It is hard to imagine that they have the ability to kill these miraculous monsters without disturbing the dwarves." Shieldguard Newton retorted cautiously.

"It is possible. You should escape from the circle of thinking when considering the problem." Weiss shook his head lightly, "Those drow elves do not have the ability to destroy the remaining Minotaurs, but who knows that the drow who was pursuing the defector of the dark elves had only such a team?"

The others were stunned and woke up one after another. The dark elf Riven did say that they were not the only one of the Zoll who escaped from Obalan's city. If the defectors were diverted along the way, then there would definitely be no one team of pursuers.

"Captain, do you think this matter has anything to do with the disappearing Qin Lun?" Black-robed wizard Romon asked, touching his chin.

"I can't think of a reason for him to do this!" Weiss's eyes flashed, he pondered for a moment, and shook his head. "He must be unable to kill so many Minotaurs by himself. If he wants to change to the Zoer camp, the rewards that he will get will be gone..."

"That's right!" Romon shrugged. If he wanted to find a root for what the apostle did, there would be only the word "interest". The exploration team has not yet brought Lorraine and Gillim back to the surface, and the mission has not been completed. It would be thankless for Qin Lun to change camps at this time.

...

The exploration team and the apostles came to the plains on the right side of the maze fortress, which was the camp location that Gillim had reserved. Just seeing a row of simple fences from a distance, everyone's hearts sank.

Even after a long journey, they had already smelled a strong smell of blood. The dwarves took the lead in speeding up, crossing the apostles, and running into the camp like flying, but immediately roars of grief came out.

Weiss and others, who were still outside the camp, suddenly had a deep face. If the dwarves in the camp had no living habits, they had to turn back. Without one of Lorraine and Gillim, even if they returned to the surface camp, their mission would not be completed.

Lorraine and Gillim returned to the camp, which was the basic condition for the Broken Stars to default to this mission.

Fortunately, after searching the camp, they found that the dwarfs had fewer bodies, including Lorraine and the other two dwarf warriors. At this moment, even Weiss could not guess what had happened here.

"It's Zoer. They just left, and Chad's blood was still hot!" A dwarf jumped up from the ground, lifted his axe and ran out of the camp like a wind. The other dwarfs, led by him, ran towards the distance.

"Captain, should we go back or follow the dwarfs?" Romon asked, scratching his head.

If he goes back, Gillim will definitely not be able to stay in the mine anymore in this situation. According to Weiss's steady personality, he originally wanted to choose this way, but Hill's subsequent words made him dispel the idea.

Hill advised him that the group of dwarves in front of him were all elites. If they were to sit and watch them be killed by the Drow elves, then after joining Gillim, they would have only six apostles and four plot characters left.

If the Drow elves are unwilling to give up and keep chasing them, and with such a little power, they may be destroyed.

Hill's words make sense. Weiss had to let everyone keep up with the impulsive dwarves, so as not to be caught off guard by the Drow elves who didn't know where to lurk.

...

On an underground cliff about half a day away from the Dwarf Exploration Team, a group of drow warriors spread into an arc-shaped defense circle, protecting two female elves in priest robes. Many patrolling lizardman knights can be seen on the outside.

This is a green-skinned monster riding a giant lizard. It is about two meters tall. It is dragged with a strong flat tail behind it. Its biting force is spitting out snakes in its upper and lower jaws. The yellow vertical pupils look like snakes.

The Lizardman Knight is one of the main troops in the dungeon. The giant lizards they raise have considerable combat power. The scales on their surface are very strong, better than the leather armor made by most humans and elves. Their only weakness is that their fire resistance is relatively low.

This cold-blooded animal underground has thick grease covered under its scales. Once the moisture on the surface of the body is dried, it will immediately turn into a human torch.

"Miss Wendini, do you really trust that surface elf?" Two drow female elves leaned together and whispered. One of the petite female elves, with a charming face, curled her lips and asked the other slightly elderly drow priest beside her.

"Kokena, have you seen him look like he transformed?" The old priest said quietly, "I didn't expect that there would be a demonized fallen hunter in this area. With his appearance, other surface elves would not accept him."

"As for trust..." Wendini showed a meaningful smile, "Since he can help us encircle the Minotaurs and dwarves, I believe he can help us continue to find the two damn traitors and blasphemers!"

"It seems that the Miranda family will get another excellent guest!" The petite female elf let out a delicate laugh.

"Guest?" Wendini sneered inwardly. She admired what the man did, but did not like his appearance of the surface elves. After this incident, when she washed away the shame given by the dwarves, the silver-haired elves would naturally be sacrificed to the queen of God.

"I hope the queen of God likes a rare breed like the Demon Hunter!" Wendini thought of this and looked up at the figure with silver hair spread out and sitting upright on the edge of a cliff like a sculpture.
