Chapter 429 Will you be dizzy?

After finishing the training tutorial, Jiang Hao chose to enter the training range and became familiar with different heroes.

What interested Jiang Hao in particular were several heroes who seemed more powerful in the video, such as Tracer, Genji, Pharaoh Eagle, etc. These heroes are quite different from other FPS characters, so Jiang Hao wanted to give it a priority.

Of course, most players have the same doubt after watching the video, that is, will they be dizzy when playing these heroes with fast displacement skills?

For example, Tracer, obviously she can quickly move three times in a very short time, and the displacement distance is very long. If you count the flashback, the Tracer's position can be changed four times in a second.

For example, Death God, obviously he kept spinning when he released his ultimate move. If it was completely realistic, the players would definitely be spitted.

However, after really playing these heroes, Jiang Hao understood that Chen Mo obviously made a lot of changes to these experiences to ensure that players will not be dizzy when playing.

First of all, the problem of fast displacement.

In fact, the problem of fast displacement exists for most heroes, such as Black Lily, Winston, etc. For this fast displacement, some players will definitely be dizzy, which is like 3D dizzy, which is inevitable. It can only be said that this is born, and these players can only give up these heroes.

However, for most players, you can adapt to this fast displacement by practicing more.

In VR mode, the immersion of this fast displacement is stronger than that of the PC end, which is a bit similar to a roller coaster or bungee jump. However, this displacement is completely controlled by the player himself. After knowing where he is going to appear in advance, the movement, adjustment direction, and shooting series of actions are all based on the player's habitual reactions, and you can adapt after practicing more.

Of course, in VR mode, the threshold for heroes like Tractor and Genji will be higher than that of PC mode, but they are not completely unavailable. For some specific players, these heroes are more exciting to play.

The second is the problem of perspective changes brought by skills.

This is actually easy to solve, because the PC end of Overwatch also has similar problems. For example, when McCree is rolling, the player's perspective does not roll with McCree's field of vision, but still looks in the direction he wants to see; when Death releases his ultimate move [Death Bloom], the player's vision will be pulled upward to become a overlooking perspective, helping the player better judge the scope of the ultimate move.

In other words, under these skill states, the players' vision can still be controlled freely and will not be consistent with the hero's real vision. It is equivalent to temporarily becoming the perspective of God. Just wait until the skill is released before coming back.

Moreover, in VR mode, there is something better than PC, that is, the player's vision and actual shooting direction are separated, which will greatly relieve the stun.

For example, on the PC end, if the player wants to shoot a target with Soldier 76, he must aim the sight in the center of the screen at the target. At this time, the field of vision and shooting direction in the game are completely consistent.

What if the player wants to observe the target b at the same time while shooting target a? It is impossible to do it in most PC-side FPS games. Even if it is done, the effect will not be good.

But on the VR end, players are like real shooting when playing Soldier 76. You can shoot target b while watching target a, as long as target b is still within your field of view, and there is no need to be in the focus of the field of view.

This is similar to shooting in the real world.

Of course, doing so will cause a sharp drop in shooting accuracy, but "reduction in accuracy" is always much better than "not at all".

In other words, in the VR state, when players use Genji to pull the sword, their vision will not shake as violently as the PC end, and their vision is stable, but they decide where to cut.

...

Soon, Jiang Hao found out that he fell in love with this game because in VR mode, the game has a very strong sense of immersion, and the pleasure is increased exponentially when playing certain specific heroes.

For example, like the Pharaoh Eagle, Jiang Hao was like he was really flying in the sky when playing, including his vision, natural falling speed, slight wind sounds, etc., all of which were very similar to real flights.

There is also Genji's sword drawing slash, because its vision is the same as the real vision in VR games, and it is not as limited as in PC, and it can cut any position in the field of view, so the mimicry is also higher.

In addition, Genji can also climb walls and jump in the second stage. At the beginning, Jiang Hao was not familiar with it and often fell from the sky. However, after getting familiar with the operation, he soon became immersed in it.

Not only Jiang Hao, but also the players in the audience were excited to watch it.

"Damn, this hero can fly and launch rockets in the sky? This is a perfect firepower suppression! Bomber?"

“It feels so good!”

"There is also this ninja who can climb walls at will? It's easy to come and go from high places, which is very exciting."

"Yes, although other VR games also have similar wall climbing content, it seems that there are many restrictions and the climbing is slower, which is not as pleasant as this one."

"And this DV also gives people the feeling that it's really fighting in a mecha. The various interfaces are made in detail, and the sense of technology is great!"

"The dragon girl is also very handsome, especially after she becomes a dragon, she can fly at will. It's so exciting!"

"It's so good from the PC perspective. What would it look like if it's a VR perspective? Isn't it so good?"

"Why do I feel a little dizzy from this Tracer's perspective? I feel the scenery around me changes so quickly."

"Because Xiao Hei has been using his skills to flash, use three flashes at will. If this is placed in the lol, tsk tsk tsk..."

"Is Xiao Hei really not dizzy..."

"It's obvious that he doesn't play so smoothly. But this is also different. Some people have 3D dizziness, so they may not be able to play heroes like Tracer and Genji."

"Wow, I can't wait, the queue is so slow!"

"Because no one who enters the game cabin wants to come out!"

"Please, those who are trying it out quickly, it will take about ten minutes to experience it. It's a bit of a public morality!"

The players queuing in the audience were not comforted by seeing Xiao Hei play, but became more anxious. Obviously, after seeing the rich mechanisms in the game, they wanted to play this game even more.

Many people have also come to Overwatch to queue up after experiencing the new version of "League of Legends", and they all want to experience this brand new VR game.

The live broadcast of the big screen has attracted more players, and the popularity of the booth has become increasingly high. Many people have obviously just arrived and are all standing on tiptoe to watch the big screen.

Some players simply stand on booths of other companies and watch the big screen, which makes the staff of these companies feel a little nervous.
