Chapter 225: Screen Design
Ye Jiayi didn't deliberately leave Xu Ziting's.
Although there was unhappiness in previous cooperation, her mentality was not so fragile. Even if she was still worried about the previous things, she would not be so naive and deliberately went against each other just to vent her anger.
As for asking her assistant to refuse Xu Ziting's meeting, it is mainly because she has been too busy recently.
For example, the commercial preparations of "The Grandmaster of Martial Arts", the "Evolutionary 4.6 billion entourage" will also be launched, such as the further copyright development of "Hell Apartment" and the plans for overseas release... these are all things she has to deal with.
No matter how smart and capable Ye Jiayi is, she is just a person and cannot bear all her work on her. So, for example, the job of sharing the box office of "Hell Apartment" with Heye Pictures was handed over to others.
For Dimension Entertainment, the most important project is always the next one.
However, the project "Master of Martial Arts" still has some pressure on Weidu Entertainment. In summary, the entire project is expected to invest more than 500 million yuan.
This is the top and most front-line TV series in China. Such a large investment volume is also one of the reasons why many practitioners in the industry are very excited about this project.
But even if it comes to Weidu Entertainment, it will feel a lot of pressure.
At present, Ye Jiayi has initially prepared almost 100 million yuan for the filming of this TV series. When he was a child, many investment institutions have provided another 100 million yuan to participate in this project.
While the return rate given by Weidu Entertainment is relatively good, their past performance also makes investors full of confidence.
As for the other 300 million yuan of funds, it comes from dimension technology. Needless to say, the "money" of dimension technology must be used in the post-production of TV series.
With sufficient funds, the entire project has been promoted faster. The script has now been polished, and the screenwriter department of Weidu Entertainment is now full of talents. Li Qingzhao and several screenwriters have worked together to create several versions of the script.
In fact, script-related work began very early. When Weidu Entertainment bought the copyright of "The Grandmaster of Martial Arts", the script editing work was already in progress.
When Fan Zhe had the idea of transforming this work into a film and television, the more refined polishing of the script was put on the agenda.
Now after many discussions, in Fan Zhe's opinion, this version of the script has been revised, it still feels very good. It basically maintains the spirit of the original work. Moreover, under his instruction, the screenwriters did not adapt too many scenes that were very difficult to shoot. After all, with a dimensional system to support it later, many scenes that seem difficult to achieve in traditional shooting will become a highlight in this drama.
In addition to the script, Fan Zhe also spent a lot of effort on the initial concept design.
In fact, the conceptual design of this work has already progressed in the early days. Many artists from the company have been designing and drawing related works for the company's copyright library before they joined a project. Among them, "The Grandmaster of Martial Arts" is a popular one, and many artists are quite interested in it, so they have accumulated a lot of pictures.
Many of these design drafts seem inappropriate now, but many of them can be used directly. Including Van Zhe himself, he also drew some concept design drawings.
The design he made basically determined the overall style of the work.
In his vision, "The Master of Martial Arts" should be a work that is more sunny and passionate, with a style that is not dark. The concept designs he made are mainly warm colors, with exquisite and beautiful pictures.
One of them is a picture of the protagonist Lou Cheng playing the first official match.
It was a ring match.
The protagonist Lou Shang was wearing a martial arts uniform, showing his heroic spirit between his fists and feet. He visualized an avalanche scene and punched the opponent with a heavy punch.
Fan Zhe naturally does not need to be questioned, but when he draws this picture, he encountered many difficulties.
There is no technical problem, which does not mean that the design is so smooth.
In this work, the original author of "The Grandmaster of Martial Arts", Seiji, has a setting that will make the designer very crazy: visualization.
For example, in this picture, the protagonist uses the "big avalanche".
This move is set in the original work, and requires the user to visualize the scene and scene of the snow peak collapse in his mind, and then cooperate with the force to punch with a special force technique. The power is as fierce as an avalanche.
Then this brings a huge question to the designer: how to show the character's visualization of an avalanche while punching and attacking?
This is a particularly troublesome thing.
Of course, if you want to save trouble, you can choose to remove the visualization part. But Van Zhe will definitely not do this, which will lose a considerable part of the charm of the action scenes of the work.
In order to do this design well, he scratched countless pieces of hair.
For this reason, he drew several layouts. Some of them were expressed in out-of-brain fantasy pictures. However, the integration of such visualization pictures with the actual combat pictures is not ideal and looks strange.
Then Fan Zhe designed another version. He made the "Avalanche" into special effects and showed it to his fists. Just like in some movies, games or animations, the special effects of light and shadow when the characters release their skills, which makes them look much more comfortable and very powerful and domineering.
However, Fan Zhe thought carefully and compared it with the description in the original work, but gave up the design of this version.
Regarding this battle, the protagonist had just practiced martial arts for a while and was at a relatively low level. He was between the first grade of the amateur to the ninth grade of the profession, and he should still belong to mortals. In this way, he used such a fantasy punching move, and it was unreasonable no matter how he looked at it. It was quite different from the style of the original work.
After all, the selling point of Fan Zhe wanted to give this work was to fight hard-core. It wasn't particularly good to have so many fancy things from the beginning.
The most important thing is that the moves are so grand and cool at the low level. So when you meet a real non-human-level strongman, how should you show their moves?
