Chapter 65 Lectures

Chapter 65

The pines and cypresses are green, covering the sky and the sun. Although it is already summer, there is still a cool feeling here.

One young and two elders surrounded the core. The students outside were all solemn. Only birds and insects were chirping, which often came, giving lectures, which had a different meaning.

The activity of lectures started from the Song Dynasty and had certain rules in the Ming Dynasty. Generally speaking, it was divided into two types. The first type was lectures between scholars and officials. This lecture was inherited from the legacy of the Song Dynasty and was divided into different lecture methods. For example, a teacher's daily lecture was part of the teaching. Now the so-called lectures are able to speak. It is a few great scholars who came on stage together, explained their own views to each other, and then argued against each other. Let the students around them listen.

Students are also allowed to ask questions.

Today, that's the pattern.

Another type is to teach the people, which is also advocated by the study of the people. Among the study of the heart, the Taizhou School is particularly accustomed to this, and teaches for the peddlers and pawns. Practice the wish of Confucian education of the people. The study of the heart spreads the world, and the Taizhou School made great contributions.

Zhou Mengchen has never experienced this in direct face of the people's lectures.

However, even if we talk about it today, there are main and secondary aspects.

After all, Zhou Mengchen was an official, and although Guanxue still had one or two great scholars, there was no official position in the officialdom above Zhou Mengchen. Wang Yongbin went to Nanjing to be a minister of the Shang Dynasty, which was just a position for retirement, which sounded nice.

No use.

Even if you don’t mention Zhou Mengchen’s knowledge, just talking about Zhou Mengchen’s identity, Guanxue will give Zhou Mengchen face today.

Moreover, Zhou Mengchen was also considered to have written books and biography. He has a reputation, so today's lecture was naturally Zhou Mengchen.

So the three of them exchanged greetings and gave in to each other, and Zhou Mengchen was the first to explain.

At the beginning, Zhou Mengchen did not make any difference. Instead, he told the contents of "Primary Learning", which were nothing more than logic, materialism, scientific methods, etc., and exaggerated some Confucian colors.

In fact, Zhou Mengchen was also glad that he was in the Ming Dynasty.

Because he found that his theory was not so easy to integrate before the Ming Dynasty. The reason was that the knowledge of each dynasty in ancient times had its own characteristics. The Han Dynasty was the ancient classics, the modern classics, and the Confucianism of the Tang and Song dynasties were also the Six Classics, and I was the Six Classics. In other words, the Confucianism in the previous period had to face the classics and find their own basis in the Confucian framework, but it was different in the Ming Dynasty. The Ming Confucianism obviously had the tendency to abandon the classics, and more Europeans were to establish topics and derive their own research, rather than finding their own basis in the classics. Of course, if there were any, they would not be imitated.

This is what Wang Yangming’s mind study is like.

The big topic set by Wang Yangming is conscience, and everything will be induced on this concept.

Even the disciples after Wang Yangming went even further than Wang Yangming. Wang Yangming started with the study of things in the "Great Learning" as the title. However, some of Wang Yangming's disciples no longer care about what the Six Classics are.

Therefore, Zhou Mengchen's theory is so easy to accept.

This is also what Zhou Mengchen learned from Confucianism, and he gradually understood it more and more deeply. The ability of Zhou Mengchen, a great Confucian, came so easily, but because of the different times and different requirements for great Confucianism. Zhou Mengchen was able to be more involved in the wealth of other great Confucianism under the topic he set, so he was naturally a great Confucianism.

If Zhou Mengchen had arrived in the Qing Dynasty, if he wanted to obtain the status of a great Confucian scholar, even if he did not memorize all the ancient books, he would at least memorize Confucian classics and pointed out the differences and problems between different versions and different annotations.

After all, due to literary inquisition in the Qing Dynasty, we had long dared to make any academic innovations. Everyone had to go through the pile of old papers. If we wanted to turn it well and make it wonderful, we would really have to work hard.

Zhou Mengchen talked all morning and the disciples of Guanxue were also listening attentively.

Then it's time to take a break at noon and avoid the sun.

Start again.

It was Zhou Mengchen who gave the lecture, but at this time, Zhou Mengchen would not talk anymore and would listen to the students' questions.

In advance, Zhou Mengchen took a handful of notes with questions from the students.

Zhou Mengchen sorted out and answered some questions that he didn't understand. The book "Primary School" is not thick, it is more conceptual, and there are many pure logical deductions, which are difficult to understand. It's not that Zhou Mengchen doesn't want to write more, but everyone has this style.

For example, Wang Yangming's "Chuanxi Lu", Zhu Xi's "Critical Thoughts Lu", etc., the words that show thoughts are all quotations. Students need to comprehend it. However, Zhou Mengchen's "Primary Learning" is very systematic, with chapters linked to chapters and quite in the style of textbooks.

There is no way, Zhou Mengchen took a look at the books he read the most in his previous life, which were actually textbooks.

It is true that the students in front of them are all the best in Shaanxi Province, but it is also a bit difficult to get them to understand all these things in one morning.

Zhou Mengchen explained these difficulties one by one, and then asked the people who asked the questions again. Do you understand? Then he saw the last question.

Zhou Mengchen said: "There are two classmates in this question, namely Yang Jie and Feng Congdao. They asked, what is the use of my set? Good question." Zhou Mengchen put these notes in his sleeve and said: "There are always some sentences between the world that can make people live a strong life and fight for them for life and never stop until death. Establish a heart for the heaven and earth, establish a life for the people, inherit the unique knowledge for the past sages, and bring peace to the whole world. Zhang Zi's words, after reading books and reading, felt deafening when he first read. From then on, he was willing to follow Zhang Zi and strive to realize these four sentences."

"But the question is. What should I do? Only by establishing my heart for the heaven and earth, establishing my destiny for the living and the people, inheriting my unique knowledge for the past sages, and opening peace for all ages?"

Zhou Mengchen's eyes swept across everyone, and for a moment everyone cheered up and listened attentively. Only the sound of wind and breathing existed.

Zhou Mengchen prepared a lot for this lecture.

He thought about it and figured it out a little.

People are different. Zhou Mengchen used to teach craftsmen and scholars at the bottom, and could directly say that his knowledge could create this or that, which had such benefits and such benefits. However, for these students in Guanzhong, they could not say this.

The reason is very simple, people are different.

It’s like a person going to Tsinghua and Peking University to talk about how to make one million. Even if his method is very operational, it may not be popular. The reason is very simple. If students at Tsinghua and Peking University are addicted to making one million, then they are not qualified.

And now the same is true.

In ancient times, they had fame and status far surpassed those of Tsinghua and Peking University students. They can be said to be supported by the state and reserve officials. Moreover, they have not yet entered the officialdom, and are more responsible to the country, and can even be said to be the most responsible person. Although this sense of responsibility is wrong, it may not necessarily lead to good results. However, they cannot deny their original intention.

What they care about is not the benefit of this specific material. It is true that Guanxue is the most pragmatic knowledge, after all, it is rooted in the poor Northwest. It is not possible to be pragmatic. But the pragmatic they want is an academic path that can be practiced and can solve real problems. Instead of talking about how much money can you make in this method.

Therefore, after thinking about it, Zhou Mengchen used these four sentences of Zhang Zai as an introduction to explain his purpose. As the founder of Guan Xue, Zhang Zai's words were the most resonant among Guan Xue students.

Zhou Mengchen said, "What do you think you should do to achieve these four sentences? Yang Jie, you said."

Yang Jie was a teenager. He stood up and said loudly: "Heaven and earth have no mind, and they take life as their hearts. The sages advised and cultivated, so that all things can be corrected in their lives. This is the establishment of the mind of heaven and earth; establishing the principles and principles, and supporting the principles and precepts, and establishing the way for the people; inheriting unique knowledge is called chanting the Tao; opening up peace means that if a king arises, he will gain the benefits of the law and the benefits of the law and the dwellings for all ages."

Zhou Mengchen said: "This is the explanation of Song Ru, but do you think it is right?"

Yang Jie was stunned and pondered for a moment and said, "The students don't know what's wrong. They just have some shortcomings at least."
