Chapter 6 "Sir"

Walking under the yellow and dark sky, Cheng Cai cooperated with Cheng Xuefen's chattering in a row.

Cheng Xuefen was very happy. Sometimes he said that the popsicles and watermelon were so delicious, and sometimes he said that today was so fun.

Chengcai is also very happy. Today he met Mr. Liu, who was helping, and he was very grateful.

He doesn't think that others will not understand the way they sell popsicles in this day and age.

What made Chengcai most grateful was that Mr. Liu accidentally opened a small door for him and stuffed it in some halos called hope...

"It's fifteen today? The moon comes out so early, it's so bright." Chengcai looked up at the sky and said to himself.

Cheng Xuefen shouted, "It was fifteen yesterday. Didn't you listen to your mother?"

"Is that true? I have no impression." Chengcai smiled.

Over the past few days, today I have made the most relaxed feeling of being a talent.

In some time afterwards, Chengcai went out earlier than usual. When he encountered scattered farmland and farmers busy robbing, he would ask more if he needed a small gift of watermelon.

There are few coincidences in the morning, but there are more incidents in the afternoon. In this way, the annual income of Chengcai will occasionally reach 300 to 400 yuan. At this time, when you go home at night, you can often take out handfuls of tickets to pile up, which is very beautiful.

After another half a month, time flies until the end of August, and the finished popsicle business and the happening watermelon business have to end.

Finally, after a simple calculation, Chengcai not only earned enough tuition fees for this semester, but also earned his living expenses. As long as his father who was working outside could send back the 6,000 yuan he had carefully calculated and agreed upon, plus this additional income and the income from the field, his study and family life would be well maintained.

This is also the reason why Chengcai is worried about tuition fees and Eryang wants to take Chengcai to work in Shenzhen for summer vacation, because after careful calculation, only 6,000 yuan is not enough.

After returning the foam box to my uncle in the town, Chengcai made a private decision to replace a small part of the income with a rib and brought two pounds of pork belly home.

That night, the aroma of meat in the green smoke floating out of Chengcai's home overshadowed the long-lasting smell of herbs.

Chengcai mother, who can move freely and do some physical work that is both light and heavy, plus Chengcai and Cheng Xuefen, both have smiles of satisfaction with life on their faces.

...

On the evening of August 29, Chengcai's father hung up the phone at home.

On the phone, the foreman really had no money, and everyone's children had to go to school, and in the end they could only pay one and a half months of wages.

What I paid for was the earliest one and a half months of this year. Most of the country was raining heavily in that month. The days when I could work were day by day, I only had 32 days of work. I collected a whole and sent back 3,000.

On the phone, another thing Chengcai’s father said made Chengcai and Chengcai’s mother’s faces full of haze. Their project has been completed. I don’t know when the new job will be available, so I can only wait...

After answering the phone in the small shop at the village entrance, Chengcai walked with his mother on the way home with a flashlight.

"Your dad is just a little tough at home, and he won't be able to play hard outside!"

"3000! I haven't worked yet! How do I spend the second half of the year? Xuefen doesn't have to pay tuition, but your tuition will cost 1,560 in one period, and you also need living expenses. How can this be possible!"

"If you hadn't been lucky during the summer vacation and earned more money, we would have to starve to death at home!"

"The foreman is really, without thinking at all! The project is over, so he can't settle the money? He also has to wait for work outside. What's the point?"

"The family also has to buy seeds. Because I am the waist, I don't have to help at home. It's a few days late. Now it's almost done. I have to plant another season of rice immediately. It costs money to buy seed fertilizer."

"You have to have some money to spare?"

Cheng Cai smiled and comforted: "Mom, it's okay, it's hard for Dad. I'll think of another way to do the semester living expenses."

"How can that work? You have already earned enough tuition and living expenses!"

"You can also sell a little extra millet at home. In this way, our household must be enough."

"The school costs three yuan a meal, nine yuan a day, twenty-eight days of classes a month. I have to eat more in my senior year of high school, so I can only spend 300 yuan a month."

Chengcai's mother pinched her fingers bit by bit, muttering while walking.

In fact, Chengcai has long understood that the rice at home needs to be eaten by itself, but not much can be sold. Just like in previous years, it would be 2,100,000 yuan, and this total of only 8,000 yuan.

According to the fucking algorithm just now, the class time will take five months in the second half of the year. A successful person will have to take out 3,060 yuan of all the money, not much, and even 92.7 cents less than what he earned during the summer vacation.

But after this calculation, the family's remaining money was only four or five thousand yuan. Cheng Xuefen also needed living expenses when he went to junior high school, which was not much different from Cheng Cai.

The mother of Chengcai needs to take medicine for two months to stabilize it. This is a damaging body. It is slow to heal and uses Chinese medicine even slower, so no matter how you calculate it, there is a gap in the remaining money.

Because when I was discussing with Chengcai’s father, earning tuition fees by Chengcai’s own during the summer vacation was the plan.

"Mom, I'll find a way to spend money on my own, don't worry," said Cheng Cai.

Although this will save more than 1,000 yuan in half a year, it is a huge sum of money for a pure farming family facing the loess and backs to the sky, especially in this situation. It can at least meet Cheng Xuefen's semester needs!

Chengcai's mother didn't really listen to Chengcai's words. Before going to school, Chengcai's mother forced Chengcai to eat three thousand: "It's time to eat, but I'll ask my family if I don't have money. If it doesn't work, I'll borrow some from your uncle."

Usually, it is given directly to one semester, so there will be so many.

Chengcai pondered for a moment and drew out ten red tickets: "I'll take two thousand first, and Xuefen is tight first. If it's not enough, I'll ask you for it."

No matter how he finds a way to solve the living expenses gap, he always needs to have a certain amount of capital first. Four hundred and forty yuan is already guaranteed.

No matter what he thinks, life is like this, and there will always be some troubles inadvertently.

…………

…………

"Chengcai, why are you eating steamed buns again?" One afternoon, a classmate who didn't go to the cafeteria to eat was seeing Chengcai chewing steamed buns, so he asked.

"I like the coarse grains from the north, which are delicious." Chengcai just drooled, pulled the corners of his mouth hard, and replied with a smile.

The classmate came over and asked curiously: "Is that so, then give me one?"

Chengcai didn't refuse. He is also a half-man now. He really eats a meal openly, and four or five steamed buns are no problem. In addition, buying more vendors can give away a few at a time, so there is naturally extra.

"It's cold, I'm afraid you won't like to eat it."

The classmate looked at the cold and hard steamed buns handed over by Chengcai and hesitated: "Then let it go."

Originally, Chengcai was planning to think of a way to do some small business, but after the new semester began, the lunch and dinner in the cafeteria became four yuan per meal, and two yuan a day became an extra huge pressure!

But after entering the third year of high school in the new semester, the school changed the third year's class schedule to nine classes a day. After the eighth class, it was half an hour of self-study, which was counted as the ninth section.

In this way, Chengcai can't take any time to find a solution!

In the end, the founder had to go to the street to buy 50 cents, one piece of five and one steamed bun for one meal.

...

"Chencai, come on." In the ninth class of the day, Chengcai was studying hard, the head teacher and Chinese teacher shouted.

Chengcai quickly got up and followed the teacher to the office, but he didn't dare to speak on the way.

When I arrived at the office, the teacher said without hesitation: "I see that you have not been very attentive in memorizing Chinese texts recently. Come on, memorize the "Xiaoyaoyou" I taught two days ago. If you can't memorize it well, read it here until you can recite it!"

Chengcai was frightened by the teacher's serious tone and his forehead suddenly became sweaty. However, it was common for the teacher to check his homework in the ninth class. He didn't dare to think too much in his mind, so he quickly memorized it:

"There is a fish in Beiming, whose name is Kun. Kun is so big that it is thousands of miles away..."

“…The supreme man has no self, the gods have no merits, and the saints have no name.”

"The whole text is not very long. Why did you memorize so hard? Didn't you listen carefully in class? Go and read the textbook and memorize it heavily!" The teacher was dissatisfied and said sternly.

Chengcai took the textbook and stood upright there and read it word by word, just hidden in the sound of the fan. The teacher said he would read it once. He read it five times to ensure that he could recite it fluently before he dared to speak.

Although it is just a high school in the town, the teachers who teach are very responsible. Chengcai can understand the good intentions in it. He is also the one with the best grades in the class. Chengcai knows who is a little difficult to do.

"It's okay. "Xiaoyaoyou" is one of the must-memorize texts, and it is generally a must-examination text. The same is true for "The Untamed" I just learned today. You should be more attentive in class. Now explain the meaning of the text to me." The teacher said seriously.

The teacher was not satisfied until a long time after the end of get out of class.

"I'll study at night soon, and there's no food in the cafeteria. You can have something with me." The teacher didn't give Chengcai the chance to refuse, so he decided to come down directly.

Cheng Cai was stunned for a moment and said hurriedly: "Teacher, I..."

As he was talking, the teacher's family brought the meal over. The teacher waved his hand and said, "Don't say so much. The meal is here, hurry up and go to evening self-study after the meal!"

The teacher opened the insulated lunch box in turn, a large bowl of rice, two meats, vegetables and one vegetable.

Although Chengcai had to sit down and have a meal at the teacher's request, he finished it in a few strokes. The teacher said without raising his head: "There is still food, don't waste food."

The teacher intentionally or unintentionally pulled the meat from the meat and vegetables under the chopsticks that were ready to be...

In the ninth class the next afternoon, Cheng Cai had just taken out math and prepared to do the test, but was called by the male English teacher who had always been very serious.

"You are not serious about English classes, especially today!"

"Read the first aid section of the fifth unit I learned today!"

Chengcai opened his mouth and faced the serious gaze of the English teacher, he finally lost: "first  aid  is temporary  from  of…"

After the bell rang three times, the English teacher just finished explaining this paragraph: "It's too late, have a meal!"

There is no nonsense.

On the third day, Chengcai found a reason early and went to ask the math teacher for math problems. As a result, he was stayed by the math teacher for dinner that afternoon.

On the fourth day, Chengcai found an opportunity to ask for leave. The teacher directly approved the leave without saying anything. On the second time, he was stopped: "Chengcai, I think something is wrong with you recently! I want to run outside the school during class every day. What does it look like?"

Chengcai stammered and couldn't say a word, so he didn't criticize it if he had faked it.

The days afterwards were ordinary. Although the teacher would not come to call Chengcai every ninth class, it would take three or two days to go. Chengcai thought it through and instead of struggling, it would be better to accept this heavy sincerity and kindness.

This flash of time was from autumn to winter, to spring and summer. Later, Chengcai just told his family that he had thought of a way to solve the problem of living expenses, and did not mention the rest.

In the innermost office on the fifth floor of the No. 9 Middle School teaching building in the town, during the thirty minutes of the ninth class during the day, you can often hear a boy's voice, either in English, Chinese, or face-to-face assessment of some math and science questions.

In the summer of the following year, Chengcai was admitted to a former double first-class university in the next province with very ideal scores. It is not far from Peking University and Qing University, and some majors are even better. It is the only one in the history of the town’s high school!

Considering the excellent grades of the school, the school is 35 points higher than the admission line, and a scholarship is also followed by the admission notice.

After receiving the admission letter, Chengcai took several old hens and a large basket of eggs to visit every teacher.

He kowtowed to the teachers who had left him to memorize texts or answer questions in the afternoon, and he said in his heart: "Thank you sir."
