266. City

The station is not a small station.

The platform is wide enough to accommodate heavy trains. No one can be seen on the platform, but the snow on the platform has been cleared before the train arrives.

Lu Mingfei noticed the marks left by the tracks. It was obvious that heavy tracked motor vehicles, tanks, or large tractors had run on this platform.

The service staff thoughtfully rolled out the red carpet in front of the owner's carriage.

Ling was wearing a blue-gray coat, and got out of the car with a cold face. She stepped on the red carpet with her suede high-heeled boots. Bunin greeted her at the car door and gently held her hand.

Other guests did not receive such treatment. Christina, who was also wearing high-heeled boots, almost fell down on the platform. Fortunately, there were enough admirers, and people immediately followed her left and right.

Set up.

Lu Mingfei saw Chu Zihang, who looked expressionless and even serious, following closely beside Gu Chen, who was wearing a windbreaker, with his hands on his waist. As for Gu Chen's style, he was a decent person who accepted both black and white.

Zero looked around and saw only dense pine forests. The snow on the tree crowns was nearly one meter thick. In the distance, there were rolling mountains. Who knew why a large station was built in this frozen and snowy place.

"I'm afraid we have to rest here for a while. The fuel in the front of the car has been exhausted. Let me show Her Royal Highness my hometown." Bunin said politely.

"You grew up in a train station?" Christina perfectly demonstrates her linear thinking pattern.

Bunin smiled and didn't answer, but just led them through the woods.

The woods are surprisingly dense, with the tree crowns blocking the sky and the sun, and fat birds combing their tail feathers high up.

Maybe it’s because it’s too dense, there isn’t much snow in the forest, maybe it’s been swept away, it’s morning, the winter sun is bright but soft, shining on them little by little, it doesn’t look like they’re trekking in the wilderness, but

Like a lazy morning walk.

It was not unusual for people who had been here before, and Ling's expression was also cold. However, Chu Zihang and Kristina looked around curiously with their eyes wide open. Lu Mingfei felt for no reason that these two might be a couple.

"There's no fucking GPS signal here." Fingel's voice came from the earphones.

Wearing headphones in a place like this can easily arouse suspicion, so Lu Mingfei put a hat on his head to cover his ears, just like outsmarting the bandits in Weihu Mountain.

"How is that possible? GPS is a satellite signal." Lu Mingfei fell to the end of the queue and whispered.

"The only possibility is that some device is interfering with the GPS signal," Fingel said. "No matter where it is, it's still running."

GPS jamming equipment is not uncommon, but that jamming equipment is still working, which means that this station is not leading to ruins.

There is a barbed wire fence ahead, and signs prohibiting entry are hung on the barbed wire fence. However, compared to the barbed wire fence, what deters tourists more is the location. Without Bunin's financial resources or military equipment, it is difficult to reach the location even if you know the location.

Bunin took out the key and opened the lock on the barbed wire fence. He asked Ling to walk in front and the others followed.

The further they walked, the wider their view became, and finally they saw buildings in the distance. Spread out in the distance was a real city! And the avenue they were walking on was straight and wide, like the protocol avenue leading to Buckingham Palace.

-- Neat residential buildings, power plants with thick chimneys, liquor shops and small shops can be seen everywhere on the streets, and the fountain at the intersection has been frozen for countless years.

You can imagine how lively this small town was back then. It is not very large, but it contains everything a city should have.

There is even a small children's paradise here, with wooden horses covered in ice and snow waiting quietly, but no children are coming.

Bunin's advance troops had simply packed up to welcome the distinguished guests. Although there was not a single service staff at first glance, Lu Mingfei knew that a snap of his fingers would make them appear, just like the maids at Ling's house.

Lanterns and flags were hung on the streets. The icy streets were as bright as a mirror, and people's silhouettes could be seen. Dense white steam came out of the manholes on the streets.

It is like a museum or a sealed time capsule, but most like Sleeping Beauty's castle in the fairy tale, which can only be awakened by a clear knock on the door.

Kristina should have behaved more reservedly, but before she walked halfway across the street, she was lying on the glass of the concession stand, her eyes as wide as bells, almost like a child entering Disneyland.

Bunin actually snapped his fingers, and immediately someone came out of the corner. It was a well-dressed waiter, with glasses of vodka on the tray in his hand. He walked among the crowd, letting the guests take away the glasses.

Bunin also drank a glass of vodka and took the lead, with a pleasant smile and holding Zero's arm.

Ling didn't refuse, but the indifference on his face was too much like a master to a slave.

In the center of the city is a huge ring-shaped building. In front of the building stands a statue of Lenin that reaches straight into the sky. It looks like an auditorium or a concert hall, but it is built in a ring shape for some unknown reason.

The red carpet was rolled out all the way to the statue of Lenin. They climbed up the stairs, and a series of fine steel doors opened in front of them. Further inside, there was a factory-like structure, with winding pipes, large and small valves,

'Danger' signs everywhere.

The original lighting system was probably out of service, but Bunin's service team used countless emergency lights to illuminate the path under the guests' feet. The heating system was working, and everyone took off their coats in unison as they walked.

It also became lighter.

"Welcome to Novosibirsk City No. 023, my hometown." Bunin stopped in front of a door, turned around, and opened his arms, "This is not the first time for some of you, but there are also friends who are here for the first time.

Come. The safe area has been organized for everyone. Please feel free to visit. If you need anything, just snap your fingers and the service you need will come to you immediately."

He turned around and gestured to Gu Chen and the others, "If you don't mind, please Her Royal Highness and the two gentlemen come with me."

Kristina in the crowd immediately cast her gaze over, but Bunin obviously had no intention of inviting anyone else, and the automatic door opened and closed, blocking everyone else out.

Chu Zihang's expression remained unchanged, still observing his surroundings.

Bunin led them through the corridor and opened the door at the end of the corridor. Behind the door was a Soviet-style office. The furniture and furnishings were still the same as they were back then. They were slightly shabby, but they were neatly packed and could even be called comfortable.

.

Bunin motioned for them to sit down on the leather sofa under the curtain and poured them strong drinks.

Although he confessed to Lu Mingfei on the train that what he really valued was not the power of the Romanov family but the look in Lu Mingfei's eyes, when it came time to negotiate, Bunin still faced Zero and Lu Mingfei continued to play the low-brow role.

A pleasant secretary.
