Chapter 8 - Escape from the Crypt (Part 2)

I saw the spider's waving tentacles and felt frightened.

If only I could be like Wen Na, and my body could be as unrestricted as my spirit body. This obstacle would not be a problem for me at all, but I am just a rookie who has just learned how to separate my body.

I stared at the fence, thinking about many ways to cross here and imagining the consequences of many of these methods.

Its tentacles are much shorter than its legs. If I go through the iron fence in the middle, I will definitely be clamped by the tentacles, but if I look at it from the side... the cilia on its legs will probably tie me up.

A porcupine.

If I want to get through this level, there are only two ways. They just ask me to choose a punishment. Should I choose to be chopped in half or acupuncture?

After thinking about it, I think I have a better chance of survival as a porcupine. At least I'm wearing clothes, and a needle stick shouldn't kill someone...

Maybe I can use my spirit body to distract the attraction of this big spider first, and then my body can take the opportunity to sneak through? However, once my spirit body is separated, my body will remain motionless...

The spider's head turned to my side again, and the scarlet skin on its face was wrinkled. Its howl sounded like pain and whine...but I really couldn't feel any sympathy for this scary big guy.

..

"Stop screaming...just let me go...it's not me who locked you up here. If you let me out, maybe I can let you out later..."

Since it is a living creature that can grow so big and has a face that looks very much like a human face, it must be spiritual. I tried to reason with him and try to convince the spider with virtue.

"Oh, whether you agree or not, I have to go through here today, I have to go out! I have to find my sister, and I have to find a friend of mine. If I don't go out... I'm afraid everyone in the shelter will forget

I'm still locked down here..."

The big spider seemed to have calmed down a bit, but it still made one or two groans in its throat from time to time.

"Then I take it as your consent! I promise, if I can get out, I will find a way to let you out too!"

I gestured at the gap in the middle and slowly moved closer, first stretching out one of my hands, then one of my legs...

This spider seemed to really understand my words. The terrifying tentacles did not attack me, but the cilia on the legs would still prick my skin from time to time, causing burning pain.

I was a little proud, basically one arm and one leg had passed through the fence. Then came my body. I tried hard to tighten my abdomen to make the whole body thinner and easier to pass through, but the buttocks were still inevitable and seemed to be

Hundreds of people are torturing me!

It was so painful that I wanted to go through it quickly, but as soon as I moved quickly, the cilia were like steel needles. Not only did they penetrate, they also scratched and pulled on my skin. It felt like long cuts were made in my skin.

.

The spider's cilia are very sensitive, and those cilia that penetrated my skin may have made the spider a little uncomfortable, and it started to become manic again...

I secretly screamed bad!

Ignoring the pain that was like cutting flesh, I gritted my teeth, closed my eyes, kicked my legs, and finally passed through the iron fence in one go.

This also pulled off more of the spider's cilia, and it started howling again...

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." I didn't bother to examine my own injuries, and grinned in pain.

"Just wait, if I can escape, I will never break my promise!"

After saying that, I ignored the pain in my body and the howl of the spider, and left here with hands and feet together. There is hope ahead!

The switch that the spirit body pressed before was probably the switch for the barbed wire wall and the iron door. I gritted my teeth and climbed out at a faster pace...

To say that this shelter is heavily guarded, there are all kinds of tricks, including ferocious beasts and mechanisms, to torture those who do not obey the rules until they become human beings.

But the round house I am in now has so many iron doors, and behind each door there should be people being experimented on, as well as scary monsters, but this house is neither monitored nor guarded.

It's really strange.

I turned around and looked at it. My sweatpants, which were already dirty, were now even more tattered. My butt and thighs were pricked like sieves and were densely packed with sharp cilia. I tried to pull them out.

There were some fine drops of blood seeping into my sweatpants. The most painful scratches on the skin were really out of reach, that’s all! Let’s get out of here first.

I looked at other similar iron doors and hesitated whether to open the switch and release those who were locked up like me. After thinking about it again and again, I gave up.

Being poor means being alone. I can't even care about myself now. There may be no point in doing those things that I think are kind-hearted. What if the people behind the other iron doors are not people but other experimental subjects? Then wouldn't I be in trouble?

Big mistake, the people at the shelter will never let me go...

I found a door that was different, if I remember correctly, it was like the door of the elevator when we went to a dinner party.

There are candlesticks on each side of the door. The lighting of this room is the fire burning in the candlesticks.

Most of the shelter uses primitive fuel lighting, including the fireplace, which is used for heating. I no longer feel it is inappropriate to see this candlestick here.

There are traces of welding on one side of the candlestick, which is completely indistinguishable without looking carefully, and my current eyesight is no longer the same.

I reached out and broke off the candlestick, trying to break off the lighting object so that I could see it more clearly.

There was a "click", and the candlestick did not come off, but I seemed to hear the sound of the chain gear rotating...

This elevator is moving!

The door in front of me opened, and it was really the elevator I had taken before! There were no buttons in this elevator, only a weak candlelight. The elevator door closed, and the sound of the chain turning was heard again, as well as the whistling wind. I

I don't know where this elevator will take me.

The last time I was in this elevator, I thought I was participating in some TV show. Now that I'm sitting in this elevator again, it feels like I'm in another world.

I gathered my thoughts, took out the dagger, held it in my hand and put it in my sleeve. No matter if the door opened and it was the two lions or some other monsters, I had to face it. I had no choice but to face it.

I held the dagger tightly, imagining that Wen Na was beside me, guiding me and encouraging me.

As the door slowly opened, I hunched over in a defensive posture.

But instead of encountering the savage beasts I imagined, I appeared in the dining hall.

The hall was different from the bustle on the day of the dinner. There were only four or five people in black suits in the entire hall. They were all the people in charge of the shelter.

When they saw me walking out of the elevator with unkempt hair and ragged clothes, the air seemed to have pressed the pause button. Their mouths were so surprised that they could stuff an egg into them.

I saw the man in sunglasses sitting in the middle. His expression was finally not as calm as before. His lips opened again and again, but he couldn't say a word.
