Chapter 1: Nightmare

In Chang'an City in May, even though it had just experienced a heavy rain last night, it could not extinguish the enthusiasm of Chang'an people. However, at the moment, Xingningfang was already filled with voices and was busy.

Qingshan, a friend of the grocery store at the end of the southwest corner street, yawned while moving the door. Because the grocery store was too remote, the owner had to use the front door to make a small base camp, selling some daily necessities and snacks from neighbors in the shop; occasionally, he also helped the women who supplemented the household to sell some needles, handkerchiefs, head flowers, etc.

The backyard is used as a living place for the owner and the client. Fortunately, the small backyard also has four wing rooms and two ear rooms.

Mrs. Cheng chose a room in the west wing as the boudoir, which was closely connected to the small suite of the Qingyue Girl.

Bypassing the small garden, there is a hospitality room in the east wing and a study room.

A ear room was assigned to the husband Qingshan to make housing, and the rest happened to be used as a warehouse for stacking goods.

The Cheng family's wife moved in the seventh year of Dazhong. She brought a friend and a maid alone. She told the public that she was looking for relatives. She came to join her uncle whom she hadn't seen for many years because of the epidemic in her hometown. As a result, she couldn't find her relatives and used the money she sold the fields from the countryside to buy this small courtyard facing the street.

In the front room, a woman was sitting quietly in front of the window with her body on her back. Outside the half-open window, there was a thick, round and tall locust tree, with lush branches and leaves as if she was about to stand on the sky. It seemed that she was a little old. I don’t know who planted it. The rough black skin was covered with ravines, showing its lushness and tenacity. Through the branches stretching everywhere, you can see the blue orchid above the eaves layered with pure white clouds like cotton. A gust of wind blew, the leaves made a rustling sound, and the air after the rain had a unique freshness.

The woman stood up and wanted to push the window completely open, but was stopped by the maid who was holding the food.

"My wife's cold has only improved yesterday. Doctor Shi told me to blow less cold wind." The maid put down the tray, put the tableware quickly, walked to the woman's side, and tried to support the woman's arm, but was gently patted by the woman, "I'm not that delicate yet."

This is a woman who looks twenty-five or six years old, with a standard oval face, a slightly thin cheek with a sickly pale cheek, a half-old dark green and white-edged homemade tunic skirt, and a belt of the same color is tied around her slender waist, so there is no extra decoration. Her black hair is wrapped in blue floral cloth, revealing her smooth forehead, and a few hairs are floating around her ears, which adds a little gentleness to her originally heroic facial features.

The woman was the owner of this place. The neighbors in the entire street called Madam Cheng, and the word Yue was mentioned in the list of her boudoir.

Madam Cheng gave a few mouthfuls of corn porridge into her mouth, then put down the spoon in her hand, and signaled Qingyue to remove the food on the table.

"Madam, you are in poor health. How can you feel good if you don't eat more?" Qingyue was anxious and worried. "Why do you want to make your favorite eight-treasure porridge again."

"No need, there is really no....

After swallowing a few sips of water, I felt much better. Madam Cheng signaled Qingyue to go down first, "I want to be alone, you go down first."

"But, letting my wife stay alone will make you think randomly, otherwise Qingyue would talk to her for a while."

"It's okay, you go down." Madam Cheng patted Qingyue's head comfortingly. The little girl knew that she could not resist her master, so she had no choice but to find a jacket from the cage and put it on for Madam Cheng to put it on. She brought a bowl of Chinese medicine from the kitchen to wait for the master to drink. Then she closed the window and left reluctantly.

"Go away! No! Help!" The woman wanted to push away the strange man pressing on her body in fear. Due to the difference in strength between men and women, the woman's strength was just a tickling force for a person who often practiced martial arts. The man impatiently held down his hands that were constantly waving. The woman's unique fragrance seduced the constant wave of love that continued to emerge in her heart. The self-control that had been enduring for many years had reached the brink of disintegration at this moment. Although her hands could not move, the woman was constantly struggling and twisting. She didn't know that this would make the man even more excited. Her lips were wrapped, and the two soft sweetness seemed to be a clear spring in the desert. The clamor of her lower body bombed the man's entire reason.

The tattered temples and the tattered Buddha statues still looked at the people of the world with compassion from the backlight of the cracks on the roof, but they could only sit quietly, but could not survive the sad and helpless crying of a woman in the empty mine room for a long time...

The scenes changed one by one, like the set of the stage. This time it was a gray room with no windows or light. It was still the woman, lying quietly on a pile of hay, despite her messy hair and ragged clothes. The only small door was suddenly pushed open, and the squeaking sound seemed particularly abrupt at this moment. The woman narrowed her eyes slightly to adapt to the light of the long-lived people. The person who was getting closer and closer, was holding a cold sharp knife at this moment. The light and shadow flashing in the dark made people feel a bit cold.

The visitor had no extra words, and he pulled the woman's right hand fiercely, and gently stroked her middle finger. The bright red blood beads splashed out. The woman seemed to have forgotten to struggle, but also seemed to be used to it. When the blood flooded most of the bowl, the visitor put down the woman's hand, threw her a bottle of bleeding-suppressing medicine, and left.

This time there was no scenery, only a vague figure, someone called a name in his ear, heart-wrenching over and over again, the voice was low and chaotic...

Madam Cheng was awakened by the coldness of her cheeks. She gently touched the corners of her eyes with her hands, and her hands were covered with tears. She looked at her hands in a daze, shocked and frightened...

"Madam, are you having a nightmare again?" Qingyue entered the room at some point. The little girl gently pulled up the tent, put on her clothes, pulled off the silver hairpin from her head and used the pointed end to push the candle on the table. The faint light just now lit up little by little.

Only then did Mrs. Cheng realize that it was almost time for Chen, and she had slept for a day and a night.

"Where is Qingshan? I haven't seen him wandering around you recently."

"Is he a savory person? I don't bother to pay attention to him if he doesn't finish the explanation of his wife." The little girl is sometimes quite fierce, and Qingshan has no brother's momentum in front of her.

"You..." Madam Cheng dotes on her forehead, and the little girl looks hilarious and doesn't care much about the owner's blame.

"The news came from Manager Xu from the Uighur side last night," Qingyue changed her respectful face in a blink of an eye and solemnly handed the envelope in her hand.

"You read it..." Madam Cheng didn't take over, but leaned lazily on the soft collapse, picked up the red date tea by the table and started to taste it leisurely.

Tap….Tap…

When the bluestone alley in the southwest corner was heard, the creaking sound of the wheels creaking and rubbing was particularly harsh in the quiet morning. Some families who had good things to get up early secretly opened the cracks in the door, trying to see what kind of noble family members were eager to visit relatives and friends? I'm afraid there was something wrong?

The carriage finally stopped at Chengji Grocery Store. The guy jumped out of the carriage and slapped the door strip hard. Qingshan yawned, and half-squinted his eyes and poked his head out of the door frame. "Who?"

"I don't know if the door was opened at the time of the silence?" His tone was obviously not very friendly, disturbing people's dreams, which was really hateful.

"The wife of the Minister of War came to visit the wife of the Cheng family." A crisp voice inserted in,

Qingshan was shocked and Qi's sleepiness was scared away.

A woman in her 20s and 20s stood at the door, holding a handkerchief beside a white orchid in her hand, gently covering her nose, looking impatient, and her feet occasionally whispering the dust on the ground.

This should be the capable maid around the noble man, a wealthy family who was eating with a bell and a tripod. Chuchu stepped into this slum with a look of disgust.

Qingshan put away his emotions and saluted the carriage without being humble or arrogant, "Please wait for a while, the younger one will inform my master of the family."

Madam Cheng held Qingyue's hand and hurriedly walked: "Miss Cheng, a civilian woman, welcomed the wife of Shangshu."

"Sister Ayue, why bother to be so polite?"

The green curtain was suddenly lifted by an ice-green jade hand, and the graceful snow gauze curtain with its neck and shoulders blew in the wind, and a fragrant breeze came to the nose, and a beautiful face with a national fragrance appeared under the snow gauze.

"There are differences in identities, and the civilian woman cannot be the wife's sister." Madam Cheng bowed and bowed, dignified and humble.

"Sister, I'm still unfamiliar with my sister after all..." The sound of falling rings of jade sounded in my ears, and my slight and graceful figure was already in front of me. "Sister, are you planning to let my sister stay at this gate today and blow the cold wind all day?"

"I dare not, please…..."

Mrs. Cheng was quietly leading the way, and the figure of supporting willows was in a turbulent wind, without any fear of family spirit. Along the way, her wife tried her best to break the alienation and barrier. Yao Xing put away her little thoughts in secret and ignited her interest in this mysterious woman.

As soon as he sat down, Lan Ke, the Shangshu, who was in full swing in Chang'an City, couldn't wait to take off the curtain fence that was in trouble, and the room was filled with glory in an instant.

It looks like she is only in her ten years. Such a young husband is in a high position, and his husband is noble and his wife is honored. I don’t know how many noble ladies and daughters in Chang’an City have envied many noble ladies and daughters.

This girl has a melon-shaped face, willow eyebrows and almond eyes, and her eyes are as bright as water. She has an elegant cloud bun, with pearls and jade on her front dots, and a pair of pomegranate-red coral earrings on her ears. She is so noble that she is very noble when she turns her head, and she is completely different from the girl who is following her elder sister and shorter sister.

Mrs. Cheng silently added tea to each other. Since she couldn't guess what each other was coming, the best choice was to remain silent.

"My sister's wisdom and orchid heart are still half as small as that of the past." Lan Ke held the hibiscus teacup carved by the green bamboo at her hand and played with it carefully. She gently leaned closer to the tip of her nose. A delicate fragrance of flowers penetrated into her mouth and nose, refreshing her heart and lungs, like jasmine and plum fragrance, quiet and long-lasting sweet taste.

"The trick of the devil can't be as good as the grand ceremony, and I can't be praised by my wife." Madam Cheng still looked indifferent and distant.
