Chapter Fourteen The Grandmaster - Du He

Chapter 14: A generation of masters—Du He ()

Du He never expected that he would be so exaggerated by just showing off his aura for a moment. Even Emperor Taizong of Tang Li Shimin knew about it. He greeted Kong Yingda's eighteen generation ancestors in his heart, and followed Du Ruhui to meet Yu Shinan, Chu Suiliang, and Ouyang Xun.

Du Ruhui was the prime minister, but he did not have any arrogance or airs, so he went out of the house to greet him personally.

Du He followed behind him and saw three people standing outside the mansion from afar.

The leader is a thin and white-bearded man. The two people behind him are also an elderly man, wearing a simple Confucian uniform, with a red face, and standing like a pine, looking quite energetic. The other is relatively younger, only over forty years old, with thick eyebrows and thin eyes, and a long face like a donkey. It is not very elegant and makes people laugh.

"Mr. Yu, Mr. Ouyang, Brother Chu, and Du Mou have been waiting for a long time, and he has a conscience." While greeting the three of them, he introduced Du He to the three of them, "This is a little dog Du He, Erlang, have you not seen a few uncles yet?"

Du He's mouth twitched.

Little dog?

Du He felt very uncomfortable when he heard this. The ancients were strange. Modesty is a traditional virtue of China, and Du He did not reject it. But modesty means modesty. Why should you call your son a little dog? I am a little dog, what are you?

The only disadvantage of the Tang Dynasty was that it was too polite. It was necessary to bow when you saw the elders. Although it was a symbol of politeness, it was a bit unbearable for people who came to see people Du He who came from the 21st century.

However, Du He cannot lose face from the Du family in front of outsiders. "Du He has met Uncle Yu, Uncle Ouyang, Uncle Chu, and his nephew have long admired the names of three uncles and uncles. He has long been interested in asking for calligraphy from Uncle, but unfortunately he has never been able to meet him."

The three of them were so rosy that they were full of redness.

Chu Suiliang, who had a donkey face, smiled and said, "I dare not take it for advice. The four words written by my nephew to Mr. Kong are like vigorous pines and cypresses, which are strong and vigorous, and are admirable. Only by giving advice to each other can we be the truth."

Yu Shinan and Ouyang Xun actually nodded in recognition of Chu Suiliang's words.

Du He was really flattered. For some reason, the few words he wrote were unanimously praised by these three famous calligraphers who have occupied a place in the history of calligraphy for thousands of years in China.

Du Ruhui asked the three of them to go to the hall to talk.

A little polite.

Yu Shinan sighed: "Du Xiang's thoughts are like dust. We must have been waiting for the idea. Du Xiang has already made one or two of them. He is no longer artificial. The calligraphy fonts created by Ling Lang are similar to regular script rather than regular script. Each stroke is like a knife and axe and chisel, which is magnificent, which really fascinates us. I wonder if we can talk about calligraphy and painting with Ling Lang to fulfill our wishes."

"Created by the son!"

Du He was slightly shocked and suddenly realized that he finally understood why Kong Yingda became a disciple in public. He finally understood why three famous calligraphers, Yu Shinan, Ouyang Xun, and Chu Suiliang, liked him so much.

Yu Shinan's word "created" has already explained everything.

The regular script written by Du He is Yan's style regular script, which is the most widely circulated and influential regular script created by the master of calligraphy Yan Zhenqing. Later generations studied regular script mainly based on the Yan style created by Yan Zhenqing.

But now it is only the tenth year of Zhenguan. Yan Zhenqing is afraid that she is still a kid who is playing with urine and mud, let alone creating Yan style characters.

Edison's invention was impossible to see in the 21st century, but if we talk about who the greatest inventor in the world was, there is no doubt that this person was Edison, even if all his inventions were eliminated.

Because he set some precedents, he was the first to master this kind of technical theory.

Yan Zhenqing's Yan style regular script was like Edison's invention. At that time, there were several ways to write regular script, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and Yan Zhenqing set a precedent. The Yan style regular script he created set a model of regular script in the Tang Dynasty and became the recognized best regular script.

After the Tang Dynasty, many famous scholars learned from the success of Yan Zhenqing's reform. They learned Yan Zhenqing from the basis of learning the Two Kings and established their own style. Su Shi once said: "Politics are as good as Du Zimei, literature is as good as Han Tuizhi, painting is as good as Wu Daozi, and calligraphy is as good as Yan Lugong. And the changes in ancient and modern times are all the best things in the world."

Yan Zhenqing's calligraphy belongs to the palace level figures.

Du He's calligraphy originated from Yan Zhenqing, and was also influenced by the famous calligrapher Su Shi. He formed his own lineage. Not to mention that he could surpass Yan Zhenqing, but before Yan's regular script came out, it was enough to look down on the contemporary era and could be compared with Yu Shinan, Ouyang Xun, and Chu Suiliang.

There is another crucial point.

Yu Shinan studied under the seventh-generation grandson of Wang Xizhi, Zen Master Zhiyong, a calligrapher of the Sui Dynasty, and Ouyang Xun learned from Han Li, while Chu Suiliang got the strengths of Wang Xizhi, Yu Shinan and Ouyang Xun. Although they all took a unique approach, there was inevitably a situation between characters.

The same is true for Du He. His fonts are at least eighty-point similar to Yan's style.

Although Yan Zhenqing learned from Ouyang Xun and Zhang Xu, his regular script is mostly self-innovative, so it is even more difficult.

The problem is that Yan Zhenqing is still a big child now, and Du He's imitation became the first to create. Even if Yan Zhenqing created Yan's style again, people would only think that Yan Zhenqing learned from him Du He, but would not say that Du He learned from Yan Zhenqing.

Du He was already shocked by the news, and he accidentally took Yan Zhenqing and replaced him?

You should know that Yan Zhenqing is a giant in the calligraphy world. For thousands of years, only Yan Zhenqing has been able to compete with the calligraphy saint Wang Xizhi and can stroll in the calligraphy world with great vigor.

Thinking of this, Du He couldn't help feeling a little fluttered. He remembered that his calligraphy in later generations could be comparable to that of the calligraphy saint Wang Xizhi, so he was so happy that he could hardly find it.

"Erlang, Erlang!" Du Ruhui called out twice before waking Du He.

Seeing everyone looking at him, Du He smiled awkwardly and said, "My nephew is out of composure. Uncle Yu's praise makes me unable to find Bei."

Everyone laughed.

Du Ruhui took out Du He's previous "Watching the Sea" from his sleeve and smiled and said, "This is what the little dog just wrote, so why put it first?"

Yu Shinan, Ouyang Xun and Chu Suiliang came here to pay a visit to Du He Mobao. They had no objections, so they all gathered to observe carefully.

This article "Viewing the Sea" is a masterpiece of Du He, showing the majestic momentum of regular script. It is combined with the majestic aura in the poem, and the artistic conception is excellent.

The three famous calligraphers stood there almost stunned, admiring and commenting. Ouyang Xun, especially, was extremely excited.

Ouyang Xun's calligraphy is also mainly based on regular script. It is recognized in history as one of the four major regular script masters, second only to Yan Zhenqing, the first of the four majors. Ou Kai, who imitated Han Li, was also famous for his time.

"My friend's regular calligraphy is not as delicate as that of the existing regular calligraphy, but the brushwork is dangerous and powerful, and the structure is unique. What is even more rare is the grand momentum and the artistic conception is better. It's so wonderful, so wonderful!" He was impressed by Du He's calligraphy. Although he was as high as 80 years old, he was willing to talk about his peers and changed his words to Xiaoyou Du He.

Yu Shinan and Chu Suiliang are very good at regular script, but they also see that Du He's calligraphy is indeed different, and they have no face to be arrogant and willing to discuss friendships with their peers and study calligraphy together.

Yu Shinan, Ouyang Xun and Chu Suiliang invaded the ** method, for most of them, for sixty years, and the least of them, Chu Suiliang had been for thirty years. He had far surpassed Du He in terms of his experience, so he discussed the exquisite calligraphy, and he often listened to it.

However, Du He has two thousand years of experience, and some of the experiences created by later generations are beyond what Yu Shinan, Ouyang Xun, and Chu Suiliang can understand. If you say a few extraordinary words, you can make the three of them feel intoxicated and cheerful.

The four of them exchanged their calligraphy treasures until late at night before they dispersed.
