Chapter 4 Nuremberg

It took about half a month on the way, and Bai Zhou and his party finally arrived at the destination of the trip, Nuremberg, the capital of the Holy Roman Empire.

Of course, although the name of this city contains the word "fort", Nuremberg is indeed a city. Only a hundred years ago, it was a fortress based on military defense, and this name has been used all the time.

Nuremberg is much more prosperous than the castle cities in Switzerland, but Fiora says that if compared with cities like Milan and Venice, Nuremberg is like a beggar and dilapidated.

Bai Zhou looked at the towering city walls of Nuremberg and the bustling crowds at the gates, but he couldn't see any dilapidated feeling. He thought to himself that if this could only be considered a beggar, wouldn't Bern be even less popular?

Bai Zhou left the carriage and came to the city gate with Fiora and Xiaobao. After all, they were carrying nearly two hundred soldiers behind them, so it was impossible for them to just walk in rashly.

The guards at the city gate naturally had seen them a long time ago. These guards were not stupid. They knew that the people who came were probably nobles from somewhere. So, as soon as they saw Bai Zhou and others coming first, the guards led immediately came up.

"God bless you, sir. Is there anything I can do for you?" The guard said, and nodded to Bai Zhou. Although the guard looked at the three people in front of him and counted that the "adult" was the youngest and had a different face than them, he also knew that such things were not something he, a small soldier, could control, and the etiquette of the work was ruled. If he accidentally offended others, no one could protect himself.

"I was invited by His Highness Wolfgang to visit Nuremberg." Bai Zhou smiled at the guard and said. Bai Zhou's initial plan was to go to Barbarossa first as soon as he arrived in Nuremberg to discuss the enthronement, but Fiora raised objections and said that this was too urgent. Cancellation of a duke was a very important matter for a kingdom. Even if Bai Zhou did not go to him, Barbarossa must be discussing this matter with his aides. So at this time, as long as Bai Zhou came to Nuremberg, it would be equivalent to telling Barbarossa and the others that had arrived. For the people of Western Qin, the rest had to be waited. Therefore, Bai Zhou told the guard that he was invited by Wolfgang, not others.

In fact, God didn't know what the third prince had when he "invite" Bai Zhou. He took thousands of people across half the country and finally returned in shame. No matter how he thought about it, he knew how Wolfgang felt when he saw Bai Zhou again.

"May I ask, are you?" As a small leader of the city gate guard, there will usually be any foreign nobles from other places or even foreign countries coming to visit recently. The superiors will usually notify them to be responsible for the first step of arrangement. However, he has never heard of anyone invited by His Highness the Third Prince recently, so he asked more questions as usual.

Before Bai Zhou could reply, he heard Fiola on the side say, "Why, are you doubting our identity? Is this how you treat guests in Nuremberg?" Fiola's tone was still so calm without any fluctuations. For Bai Zhou, he was already used to listening.

Bai Zhou originally thought that this was just a routine matter, and this guard had always been very polite. It should be a very reasonable thing for others to ask about their identity, but when he heard Fiora say this, Bai Zhou also understood that in the Middle Ages, the status gap between a noble and an ordinary soldier was huge. Even if such a "polite" question was considered by the real nobles, it was a transcendent mistake and an insult to the nobles.

Of course, the reason why Fiora said this was not because she felt that the guards had offended him, but because she thought that he had offended Bai Zhou, which was inexcusable in her opinion.

"No, no, sir, don't misunderstand it." The guard was so scared that his face was pale and apologized repeatedly. Fortunately, he was a white man, so Bai Zhou couldn't tell the difference between how his pale face turned.

If it were an ordinary nobleman, the captain of the guard, wouldn't be like this. After all, he was also a guard in Nuremberg. He had never seen any kind of nobleman in the "Imperial City" before. He was proud, down-and-out, arrogant, and low-key. However, these are not scary. To be precise, these nobles from other places are not scary. What is scary is His Highness Wolfgang. He just heard that these people were guests of the Third Prince, and he was just out of the guard's duties and asked more instinctively. Now that he remembered, he really wanted to slap himself in the face, fortunately, why did he provoke the Third Prince's guests? Although the young man seemed to be not angry, the woman next to him looked rude and cold tone made the guard tremble from his heart. So he immediately apologized: "Sir, don't misunderstand, I have a 60-year-old mother above and a son who is just two months old..."

This sentence almost made Bai Zhou amuse himself. It turned out that this kind of vulgar excuse is not only Middle-earth, but also Europa. Bai Zhou patted Fiora on the shoulder, asked her to say a few less words, and then said to the guard: "It doesn't matter..."

But before he finished speaking, he heard a noise in the city gate. A dark horse rushed out of Nuremberg City, completely ignoring the passers-by and the horse's hooves around him. The frightened passers-by were hiding everywhere. On this horse-like horse, there was a girl in red clothes, looking very excited, without any panic. She shouted and ran towards Baizhou.

The guard turned around after hearing the sound. He originally wanted to stop the dark horse immediately, but after seeing the face of the girl sitting on the horse, he didn't dare to say nonsense. He didn't even care about Bai Zhou and rushed to the side with a whoosh.

Bai Zhou suddenly felt that this guy was indeed a soldier. He was a little talented when he sent to guard the city gate. His skill and flexibility were almost as good as the hidden aircraft soldiers. However, the situation is indeed not the time when he is "love of talent". Bai Zhou said to Wang Xiaobao beside him: "Horse legs."

After Xiaobao was killed, he pulled out his knife and walked forward for more than ten steps. He heard the girl on the horse shouting loudly: "Get out of the way! Be careful, get out of the way!"

Then, only a few sounds of bone breaking were heard, and the dark horse neighed and fell down, and the girl on the horse's back was thrown out by inertia.

Bai Zhou looked at the girl's flying direction towards him, and stepped on the land under her feet. He found that it was quite soft and it should not be a big problem if it fell up, so he hugged Fiola and went to the side.

I saw a red figure flashing. If it weren't for the girl's scream, it would be a pretty rainbow. Of course, there were only red... Well, there were white ones.
